Victor Davis Hanson often has a unique big picture perspective on current events, linking and contrasting the disconnected high-brow outlook to the pragmatic perspectives of the modern populist movement.
Hanson takes an academic approach to the reality of current social constructs, yet in his own unique way he can describe the current status in a thoughtful and practical way. In this analysis VDH contrasts the goals of the ideological media, specifically the goals of those in the Republican wing of the media control apparatus, to the reality they have created by removing the voice of Tucker Carlson. In their quest to control the mounting opposition to the corporate manipulation behind the DC Potemkin Village, the corporate media are creating a nimbler and more consequential army of opposition to their efforts. The need for control is a reaction to fear.
There is a particular type of spider that carries several hundreds of young on her body after birth. If you spot one of these in your shower, and your irrational fear instinct is to smash what seems to be a big scary spider, what you discover in the aftermath is the bathtub walls moving. Yes, you may have squished the spider, but hundreds of smaller spiders are now crawling all around you.

The government will bail out any losses Fox attains because they did the governments dirty work!
Fox doesn’t fear low ratings! Just like CNN is still in business. It’s sickening! I don’t watch either, but their still in business!
Until the cable companies stop paying carrying fees to the networks, the left-stream media will not be that concerned about ratings and advertising revenue. They still get billions even if no one tunes in.
Double dipping.

Until enough consumers realise they can get THE TRUTH in news, and better entertainment from other sources, and they cut the cord.
Yes, its true CNN gets around $4/mo. from every cable subscriber, even if they never watch it.
But, if NOBODY pays for cable, they are left with the airports, and they can’t survive on that.
Never HAVE understood thexappeal of cable or satellite, 152 channels of garbage, with 6 different versions of old “Lucy” shows, and oh, pay for view to watch woke athletes kneeling, and men beating women.
Who watches this crap, and who pays to watch it?
Haven’t had cable for about 4 years and do not miss it. Many other ways to watch your favorite shows and save a chunk of money.
Let me insert that when watching “CABLE out in the rural areas”….(that is English for I don’t have a lot of options for TV) I am offended often. The lack of morals and the language thrown around like we are a dirt bag audience, astounding.
BLACK TV is one of the worst for showing you every scene that would be considered X-rated.
COMERCIALS are just horrible and introduce children, babies, adults (both consenting and those who are horrified) with information and products that should be just kept in the medicine cabinet and never
talked about.
SATANTIC NEWS – 24/7 we hear it! Evil is as Evil does. They make millions off of reporting stuff but no one does anything about anything. Thank you Tommy Turberville AL, for holding up promotions in the military to help support anti-abortion. That’s what I am talking about. We need more news about how people are trying to preserve our history; keep the Constitution as a working document that must be followed, and showcase those who promote Free Enterprise and Capitalism.
BTW, two thumbs up to Levin who showed a video to illustrate how complicated our economic economy is and how we are being led by FOOLS that don’t know much about anything but corrupt behavior. They live in the larger community of D.C.
SPORTS – they have become the cousin of soap operas and talk about showing their political dumbed down minds, they can influence our kiddos and reinforce our idiots with their actions. Thank GOD there are some athletes that just play the sport but too many grand standers are making millions if not billions.
CARTOONS– who knows that social evil will pop up and when?
Who would have thought Disney would be pushing butt sex and licks in places that only toilet paper should touch? Excuse me, but its not all about hugs and kisses.
When we learned that so called “reality shows” were staged, the RED flags was flying in our faces.
It’s expensive to stream, I’ve tried all internet available to me in my area. I live in the country. I tried just streaming for a month the cost was ridiculous. I’m not rolling in the dough. So cable it is, no local channels just bare minimum.
And no I’m not on the tube 24 7, just in the late evening. No I don’t want to read ALL the time.
Yes I get what you’re saying. Until something better comes along or I win the lottery I don’t have a lot of choices.
I try to talk everyone I know into cutting cable. I’ve saved buckets of $$ since I did it, and live in a happy world of à la carte streaming choice.
Correct, and that’s what will happen on the Dominion settlement if there is even an exchange of money at all. Fox gladly accepted those terms because they are ultimately on the same team. Large platforms will in all media will now feel pressured not to criticize the vote fraud scheme.
Here is article I read today. This guy usually covers the Ukraine/Russia conflict. I have never seen such detailed analysis and sourcing. Sure some of you probably read him and know exactly what I mean. This article is what is awaits us. I think it may happen sooner but either way probably not much can be done to stop it. Just being pragmatic here.
In 2016 I was hopeful the election of DT could stop it left’s destruction. That is before I really understood the big picture. After the election with HRC I still was not sure Trump would follow through on his promises. I was hopeful but took a wait and see approach. However, I was all in for him because I considered him to be our last best hope. Well he blew my expectations away he was making a real difference. That is until 2020 when our enemies pulled out the kitchen sink. Can he do it again? I just don’t know at this point. I am not trying to be a downer but the kitchen sink will no doubt make another appearance before Nov 20204. In fact if it doesn’t I will be really concerned lol.
Might be worth is to read through little template about what to expect in the coming days/months/years. I hope that Trump is able to get back in there but like 2016 he’s going to need some clever tactics to slip around their traps. And if he does maybe we can fast track things outlined below.
Up until today I have been hoping for a “sooner the better” because I thought we stood the best chance. In just the last several hours have had to rethink that strategy. Complete apocalyptic SHTF probably won’t be good for anybody aside from The Road Warrior. So not all is doom and gloom here. It actually gives me a bit of hope.

In 2020, about 97% of registered voters must have turned out, in 2024 there may need to be a 120% turn out, as they will need to do more cheating. 97% is not a practical number, so with that many votes cast, you know there was cheating.
155 million total ballots. Complete b.s. numbers.
They’re going about the defeat of Pres Trump another way this time-take him out before he gets the nomination. i’ m not saying they won’t try to cheat. They may but since they already did it once they are going to be worried we’re onto it this time around. IMHO they are puling out all the stops to defeat him before he gets there. They will be getting more and more desperate. The best thing we can do is solidify his support and hang tough ourselves. The one thing they might have going for them is DeSantis. i say might. Trump is still the favored winner so far. We can hope that holds up and gets stronger. What we don’t want to do is accidentally fall into their other plan; split us up using DeSantis. DeSantis should have thought about that before he decided he wanted to try and take out Trump . Unfortunately he doesn’t care. 2016 was the Russia Hoax. 2020 was the big cheat. 2024-will either be Trump for jail or divide the vote depending on which one they’re closest to achieving and yeah throw in some cheating where you can get away with it.
i’m just speculating. all of the above could be way off too.these ppl are so devious and corrupt who knows?i’m not that sharp; far from sharp enough to figure out exactly what they’re up to. All i do know with certainty is that i’m totally committed to voting for Trump and DeSantis may be a good governor but he’s also a back stabber and that’s a deal breaker for me.
Much of the social history of the Western world, over the past three decades, has been a history of replacing what worked with what sounded good.

My 2-cents bit. We’re at the phase when increasingly; President Trump can’t do it alone. People forget when they don’t have real commitment to a cause. They want instant solutions without personal sacrifices and actions to stay on course – complaining, blaming and giving up. The fighting will not stop even when President Trump is in the WH. He needs all of us to do our part .. need to be reminded and encouraged. Unfortunately, there are many who weigh bait bribe and lies who need specific directions as to how and what to do, without resorting to illegal or falling into laid out unseen enemy traps. MAGA supporters attacking RDS is not the way to help President Trump because the narrative will always be that President Trump is driving division “because – democracy is at stake. These people need to shed their illusions and inaction, defeatist attitudes and be convinced themselves that no one and what each does is too insignificant to be counted. No one else can do it for them. In the smallest and closest environs, we see this within families and among friends who fight, don’t talk or associate with respect or accept opposing viewpoints. Under these circumstances there’s too many obstacles to even come to normal; let alone the need for fighting each other.
The RDS candidate package is exactly aimed to make sure President Trump will never come back to the WH.
Thanks for the link. He made a lot of points worth thinking about. The one thing he did not go into is what happens if they steal 2024. That changes so many things either way. Many people now are holding out hope for 2024 but if that is stolen, what then?
I was frustrated for a long time that not enough people were asking up to the globalist but now I’m amazed at how fast things have shifted, so much so that at times, like reading this article, I almost feel like I’m getting behind. That “explosion” of awareness is hard to factor into what might happen because it is so new and unexpected.
Excellent point…..have wondered that myself. There will no doubt be eyes everywhere in 2024. Focusing on 1 single election (POTUS) in this case may work to our advantage. However, I do not see any reason why they wouldn’t do it again. I think that was confirmed in 2022.
In 2016 they played the long game thinking it would be relatively easy to remove or at least neuter Trump. Much to their chagrin after 2017 he really started to take off. Prior to covid I believe he was slated for a 50 state landslide. They will not go the 2016 route in 2024. Everything they have worked for hinges on it.
Their biggest concern USED to be exposure to the general masses. However, I am not so certain they care about it anymore. Its a dangerous concept though and I believe it explains the rapid replacement/migration we see now. The concern is if they have to go full totalitarian that could upset the large majority of the population who may shrug after becoming disillusioned with the system. The migrants will be used to fill such jobs (blue collar) that have been abandoned. I believe that is a real concern to them and the 2024 election could be a catalyst. If the actual vote tally was insurmountable I am not so sure it would be off limits for them to nullify the election….Idk?
They have committed such heinous crimes over the years. They need cover for that. Also their grand vision for their family’s role/rule is at stake. All I am saying is they’re not going quietly.

Does Deep State Want Civil War in US? Sure Seems Like It!
https://rumble.com/v24nlek-does-deep-state-want-civil-war-in-us-sure-seems-like-it.html
TJ….
This is where I think we are headed. It will be FAR worse than the Summer of 2020. Heading into the 2024 election the biggest fomenters of this civil war will be the paid trolls on ALL social media platforms (deep state bought and paid for) and also our enemies planting seeds of propaganda on social media 24/7. Add to that the Soros paid agitators and you got a real power keg.
Thanks for suggestion on above simplicius. Excellent read.
As long as one has cable one is paying for all the MSM/FOX garbage whether they watch it or not. The ‘bundled’ services include them in their basic subscription packages. Until one can subscribe to specific channels or shows as stand alone all cable users are subsidizing the MSM and FOX propaganda.
THIS^…it’s a point most people are not even aware of at the grandular level.
imagine walking into your favorite restaurant and ordering the special…and the waiter sez:
we changed our menu slightly. You can still order your favorite menu item, but there is going to a slight increase in costs..we decided that you will subsidize a part of your meal cost toward other menu items that we cook up but no one orders. Imagine what you reaction would be. And that is exactly what happens in cable subscriptions.
and then the waiter comes back around with your meal and sez: “oh yeah, I almost forgot, we also made a slight change and we will be taking your plate away from you every 3-4 minutes so you can watch show you some ad and marketing kabuki”.
most people are not aware that at least 80 percent of what you pay for your cable subscription is for “channels” you never even have any interest in watching. The entire model of cable subscriptions is “we can’t sell you this car without the cost of the undercoating”.
There are other financial schemes that are equally unfair and completely shamelessly dubious also. The federal government levies about 18 cents on every gallon of gas sold in the USA. And while my state is one of the lowest, it also levies about 20 cents on each gallon. No one seems to be interested in WHY the fed and the state levies taxes in gasoline. And what that tax actually pays for. But once you start looking, what you find is just another scheme to fleece the public. And no one seems to think anything about it.
I guess its true….over time, people just come to “accept” ..it is what it is…and never question the legitimacy of the thing.
maybe that changes. I hope it does.
God Bless America
to bring math into the perspective.
annually, the total gallons sold is about 120-150 BILLION gallons of gasoline. (will use 135 billion as an example)
the fed brings in 20.25 BILLION dollars in gasoline taxes. What does this pay for?
do the math for your state…it varies quite a bit depending on the state.
same question.
noting: this example only deals with gasoline..there are OTHER energy taxes levied by the federal government (and state). In total, taxes collected on fuel cost get close to 40 BILLION DOLLARS a year. so gasoline is only about half of the total levied fuel taxes….just to be clearer
God Bless America
Cable is watched by the *older* generation – However, if you have access to the younger generation, you will find that none have cable – They stream, ie, Roku – Apple et al. They also use *fire sticks*(?)
I’m of the older gen, but the house is filled with younguns. We stream (Roku) – get a lot of free channels and I decide what I want to pay for to watch and when. Gun Smoke is my #1. 🙂 Lot of old movies with Hollywood greats – IMO.
You’re paying the cable company to watch commercials that someone has paid the cable company to air. Turn on your TV at 4 a.m. and see the solid programming of infomercials for hours.
Subscribe to an Internet service such as Hulu or Youtube TV.
Get an Amazon Firestick for about $19.
I believe Hulu is ABC/ESPN/Disney and yuckboob is gaggle.
That is a big NO!
I recently got tired of never-ending price increases and never-ending reduction in shows worth watching. I found and option on our cable service that allows us to get all locally broadcast channels plus our choice of 15 other channels. We added on a very limited additional package of popular channels, which includes NewMax. It was so satisfying to eliminate CNN and MSNBC! Unfortunately, at the last minute, I selected FOX News as one of our chosen channels, so now we’re stuck with FOX because the cable company locks in our choices after 30 days. So it IS possible to ditch some of the woke channels. Our cable system doesn’t advertise this option very well. I learned about it from “retention specialists” when I called to cancel the entire package after their most recent price increase. I suspect this option was put in place to help “low income” individuals, as part of their social justice/woke policies.
Murdoch received a massive premium from Disney when he sold off Fox’s movie studio. The price was billions and billions more than it was worth on face value, far more than what most Hollywood insiders expected. Their assets simply weren’t worth that price by any reasonable analysis.
I’ve always believed the Disney deal was the bribe to Murdoch and family, ending Fox News as a right-wing broadcaster. A quid pro quo of enormous consequences which I think ultimately led to Tucker’s eventual firing and made Hannity a complete shill for the DC establishment.
It’s similar to how Democrats bought out the Drudge Report and flipped its news orientation 180 degrees from the Right to the Left. The Left and Deep State have targeted almost every media organization of note which influenced the 2016 election. They’ll never let another Donald Trump get in the White House who isn’t already approved.
Yet Drudge gets plenty of clixks from the right and lonely people still have FUX on for company.
Nah, Murdoch was in on The Big Steal from the Get-Go. It was part of the diamond heist game plan all along. They had gamed it out that way.
Everyone should know by now that the media/AP calls the “winners”, despite what you know and see with your lying eyes. And their sources and methods are themselves. Circular reporting. Also used by all the corrupt gubt hacks, like the DOIJ/FIBs.
Murdoch only wished they had tho’t of it in time to stop Candidate Trump in 2015-2016. They actually tho’t their secret weapon was Princess MK. WE stopped that/her/it dead in their tracks.
They are all scared because the people know the truth, and for those who don’t, they are getting close to knowing it.
The “BRIBE” is advertising.
From the corrupt politicians always running for office, again, on the same issues, and all of the dirty people who feed off of them and US. They have turned this into big business. And one campaign ends and the next one immediately begins. Grifters, all of them.
From BIG PHARMA. Constant. 100 x a day or more.
From BIG BANKS, driving their own agendas.
From their never ending supply of co-host/host books and book tours, from other media, including their own.
Same a decade ago, with lefty newspapers, “failing NY Times,” WaPo – left to their own, they’d be long since bankrupt.
But billionaires came along who kept them afloat, cuz that narrative must prevail.
And the product is no longer journalism but sheer propaganda.
Friskycat, the money doesn’t matter anyway. It’s just Monopoly money at this point. What matters is their ability to convince people of their message.
As Tucker Carlson was showing signs of rebellion against the official script, Fox couldn’t keep him on because people were listening to him too much. But all their move did was underline that Tucker is the one to listen to – it’s the truth-teller, not the liar, whose tongue has to be cut out!
Even if Tucker doesn’t immediately find a freer platform to speak from, Fox already condemned themselves as liars. Doesn’t matter if they stay in business – now people realize they are just another CNN.

Eh, without Buckley, it was nothing spectacular. American Spectator seemed fun at the time. Crashed on the rocks at some point?
Unfortunately, Bill Buckley was financially compromised, long before he spun off the magazine, and then passed away. His financial situation was very precarious in the latter decades of his life and the neocons moved in to get control. Buckley had been forced to purge voices from his magazine like Joe Sobran long before the magazine became the controlled shell it is today. Also, Buckley made a decision in the 50s, when founding the magazine, to use it to try and break away some of the elite from the Left. He rejected a populist effort to create a broad based movement. The American Spectator was always a very neo con influenced effort. It came out of a college and university bacjground. It was quite good in the 70s, when it used the excellent neo con domestic scholars, to undermine the federal welfare state and Great Society model. But it was always under the heavy influence of neo con outfits like AEI.
Bingo. A strong intellect and logical thinking are assets, but if ya got no empathy or feeling of being one of the regular folks, then you got nothing worthwhile. It takes both, and he has both. Smart, succinct and pithy.
VDH is a farmer in the NorCal Central Valley who has watched California destroy itself In Sacramento. The Central Valley (Where I grew up) is a mess with meth labs everywhere and small town governments beholden to outrageous budget deficits due to Unión pension plans that have decimated their ability to serve their citizens. Rampant crime, rediculous taxes and gas prices that is destroying the quality of life in the area. Totally ungovernable.
He has seen all that and with his great knowledge of world history, he is saying that the jig is up and the piper is going to have to be paid soon…. How, he doesn’t offer a solution… as we all struggle for…What is the solution????
You mean there’s a solution?
I keep waiting for VDH to suggest solution/s..
See the post and recommended article above by Luke where he replies to friskycat. Lots of food for thought.
VDH = GOPe/RINO ,
VDH not = President Trump’s MAGA / America First.
He’s not associated with NRO anymore. He writes mostly for American Greatness.
that’s good to know; never gave him any attention because it felt like being talked down to all the time when listening to him; might listen to this, though, the spider imagery has me pretty freaked out right now so may return to listen to his interview later! 🕷 eek!
VDH = GOPe/RINO ,
VDH not = President Trump’s MAGA / America First.
You are insanely boring and wrong.
Is that you Karl?
Cacutus: VDH = NRO = UGH
What does this mean?
VictorDavisHanson = National Review Online = UGH
CountryDoc,
JMO.
VDH stayed with NRO for twenty years+, long past the time they had gone over to the dark side.
He is hard core GOPe / RINO ……. he is not President Trump’s MAGA / America First.
We’d be glad to see him come out this week and endorse President Trump for President.
We were long time supporters of Mr. Bill Buckley and his NRO…… he was actually a south Texas boy before they moved to the east coast…..his granddad was a sheriff in south Texas when they moved out of Mexico. We were sorry to see what the new owners did to NRO.
Bill’s experience in Texas no doubt helped to mold his conservative background.
I wrote to him about his experiences in Texas and he was kind enough to respond.
I hope that answers your question.
Unfortunately, Mr. Buckley’s status as one of America’s most well known celebrities, beginning in the latter 60s, started the magazine down the road that eventually left it where it is today. The magazine became too much a personal vanity construct. Also, Buckleys wobbly financial position brought on a strong neo con donor influence at NR, long before Buckley’s passing. The purging and attacks on Joe Sobran and Pat Buchanan were signs of where things would end up at NR. Perhaps the greatest disappointment of the Buckley years at NR was the forcing out of editor John O’Sullivan, who was moving the magazine away from a focus on the elites, towards a more populist focus, especially on immigration. Buckley’s final moves to hand the magazine over to Lowry, and the forces that controlled him, were disastrous. To Buckley’s credit, once free from the neo con forces that were influencing NR, Buckley was a voice against Bush-ism and the Iraq War.
Wow, you have a lot of “inside baseball” insight of the great Firing Line host’s business dealings.
All could be true.
The main thing that stands out about Mr. Buckley is, to paraphrase that old country song lyric popularized by Barbara Mandrell, that he was “conservative” before “conservative was cool.”
No doubt, he would have been on the Trump Side of history, not the democrat / GOPe/RINO bushie side.
Have a great MAGA day!
Many years ago, the last independent editorial page editor of the Wall Street Journal, Robert Bartley, released a lot if financial info about the Buckley family oil business, Catawba. It wasn’t in great shape and was going to be liquidated. Buckley kept NR separate from the family business, but he was relying on a group of Old Right businessmen to keep NR afloat, mostly in the textile industry. As those guys died off and textiles moved off shore, Buckley had to find new donors. Neocons are incredibly skilled at finding donors and Buckley relied on several to help him keep NR up and running, which ultimately led to tradeoffs that left the succession to Lowry and the current group.
I’m a great admirer of Buckley, from the 50s to the mid 60s he was on top of his game. Cheers…
Thanks for the information.
I appreciate it.
Tucker needs to throw his hat into the political arena, and run for president. He would at least make a good VP candidate. It would be the perfect revenge on FOX. They pay for his campaign by fulfilling his contract through 2024, and he gets to continue to say what he wants in a media forum a hundred times bigger than FOX News.
Tucker wouldn’t get my vote, not as VP either. Donald J Trump will have my vote even if I have to write it on my ballot.
How about as VP?
No. Perhaps you do not understand that whoever is VP should be (is supposed to be….) qualified to be POTUS.
So – no. If he’s no qualified for POTUS (which he’s not) he’s not qualified for VP either.
Excellent. It is quite telling how we are so quick to “hero worship” nowadays and not even rationally consider one’s actual qualifications.
Carlson is a very highly paid entertainer who has been saying things most of us “like.” Reportedly, he will still get all his “salary” under his contract with 3 years remaining which has been said to total about $75 million.
I seem to recall other FN entertainers who also did the same…until they went elsewhere—Meghan Kelly and Alysin (apt name) Camerota come to mind.
I guess it is a function of so few out there who are truly worthy of our support that in a sort of desperation we convey “hero”status so readily.
Maybe you forgot, Trump was also a hollyweird, entertainer.
That was a side gig for President Trump, not his career. His career was as a CEO of multiple companies and a builder. He has a long history of creating thousands of jobs in construction and other businesses. His first term was an illustration of his economic prowess, negotiating abilities, and excellent statesmanship.
Agree and his experience was a hundred times better than Bush and a thousand times better than Obiden. President Trump showed us all what kind of experience makes a president as opposed to a shill for the globalists, which is what the recent presidents before him were.
Sorry, but Trump was not qualified as POTUS either, but he was a good business leader, and things worked great with him in office. I did not like Trump till after he won, then the lame stream media was mocking him for visiting factory workers, and that changed my mind. Not the big things that define a person, it’s the little things that do!
Ideally, a good POTUS should be a good business leader. The economy and successful foreign dealings are the base for a healthy nation. Trump did say ‘Economic security is national security’.
IMO, the basic requirement for a presidential candidacy should be extensive experience in matters of business dealings.
Yes to that. After all, we do refer to the president and his responsibilities as being the Executive Branch.
Take a look at what you wrote. It doesn’t make any sense.
If DJ Trump was not qualified to be POTUS, he could not possibly have accomplished what he did accomplish in office despite being hounded and virulently obstructed in every way possible that his Deep State /globalist enemies could fabricate.
President Trump was the best-qualified candidate to be president in my seven decade plus lifetime, as proven by his performance under unrelenting attacks.
I agree GB…it’s been my same experience.
I think I use the enigmatic description, because of course, he IS a billionaire with quite a rich history that did not exactly inspire confidence (with me at least). But yes, there is no doubts the man was not just capable of becoming an effective President, but one that will go down in history as having achieved so many great things that really made a difference in the lives of so many ..and around the world.
in a different time, I often wonder how someone like President Trump would have been treated by the elite corporations. If we look at the past, someone like President Trump would have been celebrated and cheered and supported….
we don’t live in that world anymore…it’s occupied by very bad people who have incredible power to do so much harm and damage to protect their wealth and influence.
they look at the white house as the prize….and never at the man/woman.
which explains why joe malarkey was installed/selected in the fraud.
they wanted the white house. President Trump would never let that happen…every..
joe malarkey doesn’t even know the last flavor of his 2 a day pudding pop diet.
Agree, regitiger. I believe too many people still think that a presidential candidate must come from a field of politicians who’ve held other offices, governorship being the most popular.
When I look at the current plethora of Leftwing totalitarian Democrat governors plus the GOP’s majority of weak-spined RINO governors, I think using that criteria is now outdated.
When you’re talented, haters gonna hate.

Sorry, but President obviously was, and still is, the most qualified person to be president that America has had since the era of our Founders.
President Trump is a unique genius and one of history’s rare visionary, courageous and chrismatic leaders who alters the course of human history with the help of his supporters.
President Trump offers not only Americans but everyone in the world a unique chance to alter their fate.
If this chance isn’t taken now, people have rejected their last chance to avoid the fate NWO Death Cultist have spent decades preparing for them.
Who has built each road to hell that everyone is forced to take once the road is completed?
Naive normies with good intentions?
You want to see media heads explode? If Trump somehow manages to defeat all the attacks and fraud, he should appoint Carlson his Press Secretary.
Tucker needs to endorse President Donald J. Trump for a second term.
My opinion of Tucker would go up if he did that. That would be Tucker showing that he really gets it and that we are down to the wire. There is no longer time for intellectual inquiries. Now we need PDJT .
I’m not certain, but my opinion of Tucker is that he strives to truly be as objective as possible in his reporting. If he endorses a political candidate then he probably feels that he will not be upholding his professional values. This is of course tempered by his own personal beliefs and values which he has openly discussed in a couple of recent interviews.
I don’t need him to endorse President Trump as long as he is reporting fairly and accurately on PDJT’s actions and policies. IMHO, honest reporting about Pres. Trump makes him look better than any other candidate.
“If he endorses”
TC spoke about this with Kirk.

Ultra Maga violence policies(/s), when they’re not cancelled, are transparent.
https://rumble.com/c/DonaldTrump
Why?
Tucker is more valuable as a journalist, imo.
No. This is not an election for homecoming king or queen.
He has no gravitas.
Just becuase we like someones commentating, doesn’t mean they have the skills to get the job done.
Trump knows how to analyze, build, negotiate, and seek win win. Trump has learned a lot from his experience. Most politicians are just public figures with very little practical experience.
People wanted Candace Owen to run, Tucker to run.
I would look for one of those economic wolverines, or a Good governor who came up from business.
Yes , popularity is not a qualifying quantity !
Would be nice if Trump knew when to shut up however. He attacks anyone who bruises his ego. This may cost him the Nomination. I want him back in the WH, but I also need for him to be smarter.
So now it’s Tucker. Last week it was RFK Jr. Prior to that is was Tulsi Gabbard. Here’s a great idea. How about if DJT runs again and picks a successor who is cut from the same cloth. Meanwhile, let’s let Tucker do what he does best. That’s what he has to do. Let’s not declare everyone who is pushing back against the deep state a candidate for president.
Tony 24!
Tony/TJ 24?
:-p
VDH is wrong a lot, especially his attacks on Trump, but at least he’s sober-minded generally, and brave enough to slap down the left forcefully from time to time. A perilous course of action in his field.
If the guy cannot see that Trump is/should be a natural ally, what’s the point?
A hook can’t be reeled around a spool–can’t catch a fish. A line can’t hook–can’t catch a fish. Apparently, neither is worth much for fishing.
VDH is hopeless visa vis Trump.
I’m no apologist for VDH. I’ll leave that to others.
Ever wonder how cnn is still in business? Think about it….
Same model as Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop.
Without the daily barrage of doctored BS and Happy Talk, half of this country is too stupid and lazy to form their own opinion of current events. It’s so much easier to be told what to think, how to vote and what to say!
Either that or substantial advertising revenue from Big Pharma, or both.
Last I checked pharma/medical was the #1 advertiser to all legacy networks. This doesn’t mean everything is pretend, but ymmv.
Fox Ratings Plummet After Tucker Carlson’s Departure
thefederalist.com/2023/04/27/fox-ratings-plummet-after-tucker-carlsons-departure/
We are talking about staying in business, which requires money. Not ratings.
Contrary to what I used to think about tv programs, high ratings are no longer required once the revenue is maintained simply because the program delivers a desired narrative.
Faux’s ratings are dropping like a rock. I don’t think they are telling the whole truth about how bad it is. It you look at the actual audience numbers for all the prime time hosts the drop isn’t 20% but closer to 50% and dropping of the audience pre-Tucker to post-Tucker. Even Meghann Ryan said she was shocked at the numbers. Eventually the advertisers will head for the hills. The Execs are all probably giving it a week and anxiously waiting for the audience to come skulking back after their pout over the loss of Tucker. “Like they always have” after getting the shaft. “Because there’s no where else to go” according to Haddock, Paul Ryan et al. They don’t get it yet.
There is nothing left worth watching on FOX anyore. Even if their audience stopped being fed up with their treachery, which they shouldn’t count on, it’s not coming back. Most conservatives see them for what they are: Controlled opposition propaganda and they are never going back. And yes there are plenty of alternatives to getting truthful information. MSM has lost their credibility so it has therefore rendered itself a waste of time.
Bundled cable.
If people could select cable channels a la carte CNN might possibly be gone.
True. CNN is on my cable package and cable co.’s make up the package and it’s take it or leave it. I don’t watch it but it’s only cable co where I live. Without cable I’d be watching local biased left news and reruns of Leave it to Beaver
I have not turned on CNN in 25 years. But, I pay for it. Rat Bastards.
I’ve come to see, as Sundance says, each media outlet is designed for a particular audience. And usually a favorite of one of the Sub Clubs: Democrats, RINOs, FBI, CIA, DOJ. And they all carefully work together often using the same bullet points.
but its more than that, as Carl says. The media is the government, and the government has gone rogue from We the People. Media is an illusion.

Not that familiar with the Aspen Institute so I guess it’s no surprise that I’ve never heard of their “Commission on Information Disorder”. Information Disorder. Hmmm…….Sounds serious. I wonder, will there be a pill I can take for that?
Tucker wasn’t alone in his show production. He obviously had some of the best research and production people in the business.
I agree….he had a cracker jack team. Really miss watching his show. Now I don’t watch Fox at all
Spider analogy is a reminder. We here at Treehouse are those spiders. Our reaching out to other people is a great way to get people informed.
They are trying to kill our access to information (RESTRICT ACT).
They will never give up the quest for power as long as they live.
Just an observation.
“They will never give up the quest for power as long as they live.”
They can’t and they won’t. Your observation is absolutely correct. I posted an article on here about succession/civil war. It is probably the only way. If you follow the logical thought process of the author we are on the perfect trajectory.
IMO, that’s more than an observation…it’s a fact.
In addition, there’s nothing new in them thinking like that because that’s the way things have always worked regardless of the form of government. The people in power want to stay in power and live large on the backs of the regular people.
Great point. Also, I have to wonder how many of those talking “civil war” realize that such a thing is the absolute worst kind of conflict and is NOT at all like Red Dawn Hollywood heroics?
Even more to the point, how many have actually been in close ground combat?
(BTW, flew backseat (FAC/AO) in Broncos in Vietnam as a sort of “exchange tour” from my infantry/recon primary. Great airplane but a bit dicey after the SA-7s appeared.)
I suspect Mycroft is speaking about the Leftist mindset not those in power. The leftist cannot stop and they are NEVER going to let you be. They used to be confined to the shadows but since the flip of the century their havoc wrecking ideas have been put on the public square. The only thing that will stop that is fear of reprisal. Right not they have absolutely none knowing full well the Federal Govt has their backs. As long as that dynamic exists they will continue to push harder and harder; remember, punishing conservatives is their goal. Its the definition of pure evil really….It destroys good for no purpose at all.
As far as CW I suggest you read that piece form Simplicius. Its just a template but makes sense. He doesn’t get into the kinetic aspect of it. Really its too hard to say what that looks like. When the nation shut down in 2020 I got a sick to my stomach feeling for weeks. I wasn’t worried about covid either. I was more concerned with how are nation will function after coming to a grinding halt. I admittedly discounted the power of magic money. However this magic money and its unlimited supply will eventually have its day of reckoning. TPTB know it as well.
It could possibly go on for a while longer but there’s been a bit of a snag. They have not stopped Russia and/or China. In fact both seem to be getting stronger and the US looks more cursed, weak, and pathetic. If you think what I just mentioned is opinion ok; but it is also the opinion of many other nations outside the sphere of Western/US dominated states. Stories of de-dollarization in March really took off. It is also my opinion NONE of the stories would have appeared just a year ago.
Those are some of the most important topics floating around right now IMHO. Instead we are discussing rather not what Hunter Biden did was illegal and if children should be allowed to remove body parts. Neither should even be anywhere close to being debated but here we are. If you think we can carry on for many years with people like that living beside you that’s on you. I however do not think it can carry on much longer (maybe a few years max).
I have dealt with a liberal normie I dated for a while. I could not break through using logic or reason. It was certainly not for a lack of effort on my part. And she wasn’t even a hard case. We split in fall 2021 and I felt like I failed. It was a black pill because I had been trying to break her out of the spell for one noble reason. I believed if I could find a way I might be able to help avoid what I believe to be VERY HARD times ahead.
However last summer I had an epiphany. I accepted the fact that its simply inevitable and made peace with the idea. This severe pain to come is the only thing that can jolt this madness out of people. I’m sorry but we cannot do it at the ballot box or with laws from my own anecdotal evidence. The general population in Western Culture is simply too far gone at this point.
Hope I am wrong because it is going to be a horrible mess. I hope and pray for a figure to emerge who can right this ship with minimal loss of life and bloodshed. I would be lying if I said I was optimistic such a solution was possible at this point. However, history shows many of the world’s game changing events have unfolded where men/groups seem to arise out of nowhere.
“Logic and reason” are not only unpersuasive; if they are deployed before a person is persuaded to join your choir, “logic and reason” ensures that the persons defenses will be triggered so nothing you say registers which guarantees failure.
Christ understood this and said that a humans Heart is the Key to everything else being True.
Pharisees and Saducees disagreed. They still do.
Fortunately, President Trump DOES understand what’s Key.
Fortunately hes worked tirelessly to help others reject CON Inc’s pharisee emulating “facts don’t care about your feelings” tactics.
For those who want to learn persuasion basics while learning how President Trump, a persuasion genius, successfully uses them, I highly recommend reading, “How to Win, Bigly”.
For several hundred years, the role of the government contained the evil natures of man with laws, taxes and exercising their monopoly on power. However, the government loosened their hold by “creating” circumstances where their exercise of power yielded the politicians and political big-shots even more extra-ordinary wealth and power. Then as the power of free and fair elections were slowly compromised, it removed any constraints from the big-shots to control themselves. I suspect other countries are undergoing the same TRANSFORMATION into evil!
And Florida is busy restricting the 1st Amendment!
Agree. Restrict Act, reauthorization of Patriot Act, Florida bill restricting speech, crackdown by EU on social media free speech, new law in Ireland restricting speech ALL news items in last month.
They are getting desperate as they realize the masses are waking up.
Their PSYOPS campaigns of the last few years failed. They know it and going for broke.
The 30-40-30 ‘rule’ didn’t work out for them. The middle 40% has in part came our way and more are red pilling.
Few notes for everyone while on this subject (speaking as a former PSYOP soldier) for those with eyes to see and discern:
1. Whatever the truth about Alex Jones’ motives and allegiances (and yes there are those who have voiced legitimate concerns), he defined the war long ago what we are experiencing now – ‘Infowars,’ a war for your mind. He spoke the Truth with those statements;
2. Psychological Operations is a polite word for Propaganda (nomenclature was changed due to connotations from the Nazis who inherited it from the British Tavistock Institute). It is also the political/ideological equivalent of marketing. It works on everyone to various degrees and durations of time. It is against all of our individual pride and belief that ‘it won’t work on me!’ Humble yourselves because it does and will. No one is immune. US Army PSYOP soldiers are ‘special operators’ of the mind just as well trained and proficient as the Rangers, Special Forces are at what they do. Think about that for a minute and let it sink in.
3. Obama signed a law sometime back that allowed PSYOPS to be used in the domestic population!!!
Mike Flynn and Boone Cutler (a PSYOP operator) released a book recently called ‘A Citizen’s Guide to 5th Generation Warfare.’ It is a masterpiece. It should convince you once and for all that your federal government is at war with We The People and has been for a while (at the behest of outside entities). 5G warfare is an assault on the collective mind of the public for control purposes.
I cannot emphasize enough how important the information contained in this book is.
Hopefully, if enough people see the tactics, newer & better & quantitatively greater defenses and counter offenses can be designed and deployed by us/We The People before it is too late!
Please consider reading and studying this work thoroughly!
Many thanks for the recommendation & for your service then & now.
“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society.
“Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country.”

The same thing is happening in medical literature.
The sources of information are being consolidated, controlled by the big corporations, controlled by pharma.
Physicians seeking current science to practice medicine are finding their jobs impossible, their peer networks disrupted and mostly corporate employees
The media is their vehicle. They cannot project their power and control without it.
We have been concentrating on the wrong ‘they’. We need an all out effort to neuter the networks, papers, magazines, and personalities.

yeah…he’s a good one. 🙂
He makes a good point; FOX is willing to forego billions in revenue TO ELIMINATE THE THREAT TO THEIR AGENDA POSED BY TUCKER.
That’s a real dedication to Psy-OP Propaganda.
Yep…with all the ‘reasons’ I’ve heard/read about, this seems to be the one that nails it.
They are silencing all conservatives that don’t stick with the narrative and forcing them to the internet.
Klaus Schwab/WEF said awhile ago that within 2 years there will be a major internet outage!!!! So get prepared for the next plan they have!!
Will they have a major disgusting story on Trump and cut the internet out so Trump and conservatives can’t debunk the story???!!
Will they have a deep fake about Trump before elections or the GOP nomination?
Who knows what they are up to but the internet is now vulnerable to conservative voices being silenced now. Tucker was our last voice on television.
A major internet outage would stop the flow of information. It would also stop the flow of propaganda no matter how you interpret either one. More important though, it would also stop the money flow into and out of all banks.
Debunk the story? They’re all just variations on a theme.
How many stories do you need debunked?

Sorry, he lost me when he said Brian Kilmeade is “a pretty good newscaster’..
I think Brian Kilmeade displays more depth of knowledge on more topics than most anyone else on Fox. He is a serious journalist. Still, if he has to push the corporate narrative, I don’t need to watch him.
“He lost me”.
Blaming him for still being so easily triggered that you’re unable to listen to anyone who isn’t ideologically pure enough and/or doesn’t speak with sufficient political piety?
If so, what a shame.
Fortunately, pharisee mind programming can be overcome.
Once pharisee mind programmig is overcome a wonderful world of evocativive thoughts, offered by real human beIngs who are, of course, never perfectly right about everything because they ARE human, become available that used to be rejected.
I never really cared for VDH. He has the ability to see and articulate exactly what is wrong with our Country, yet takes an hour of droning on to skip over the most important bits Plus he doesn’t care for my President Trump. JMO.
STOP VIEWING
CUT THE CORD
CUT THE CORD
CUT THE CORD
What cord would that be? Haven’t had cable for over thirty years in my house.
Me too. We only stream Pure Flix.
Our enemies own and use cable and network TV as well as sports to nudge Americans in the direction they desire but apparently most Americans simply must be “entertained” or otherwise just cannot be inconvenienced to try to push back, even with something as insignificant as watching TV.
I am amazed at how many on here still support Fox “News” by watching ANY of it, Carlson or otherwise, after November 3, 2020 when it proved beyond cavil that it is a member in good standing of the Propaganda Ministry.
Commenters telling us all what to do is getting rather tiresome.
The very last thing he said in that video was the greatest thing he recognized. “A lot of people are angry about it.”
I am furiously angry. Because the construct behind the firing of Tucker Carlson is to remove the voice of people who are angry at the direction our country is going. The ones who really don’t want to be controlled by the multinational corporations and banks who are manipulating our government, our bureaucracy, our representatives in Congress, our economy, and even our military for their own profit and for the destruction of US culture, middle and working class wealth, US institutions, and even the military.
The good news is that we’re starting to get the American population to understand that we’re ruled by child molesters, sex traffickers, crime families, cartels, satanists, and brutal, sadistic murderers.
The bad news is that we’re ruled by child molesters, sex traffickers, crime families, cartels, satanists, and brutal, sadistic murderers!
“The need for control is a reaction to fear.”
If this were true, then we could fix everything just by not scaring them. It would also mean it’s all our fault for scaring them.
They may be getting a little worried now, but their “need for control” is in their dna. It is what they are.
No one should be making any kind of excuses for them, which is, in effect, what this is.
I think the intent of the statement was to say they are trying to control us but it’s not working and so they do it more desperately and it fails worse, like desperately grabbing a slipping bar of soap.
Perhaps using vampire movies as a guide will expand thinking and improve analysis.
When does the urbane vampire who as been feeding on innocents with impunity drop his mask to reveal his true self; a seething, enraged, humanity despising demon?
Only when he’s cornered and fears he can’t escape.
In real life this is also true; hence the warnings about “cornered animals”.
There is a lot of little news outlets out there that inform the public more the public knows! Once the public finds how to research and find them, that will be it!
Carlson has said lots of things that are normal to a patriotic and Constitutional adhering individual.
But he may be “controlled opposition”.
Even with his “firing”.
Wasn’t his Father CIA?
I don’t believe everything in this article, but there are points that should be taken into consideration…..
https://www.theinteldrop.org/2022/09/09/who-is-tucker-carlson-hes-cia/
Nice try…
He also worked for CNN before.
Moral of the story: Cancel your cable. Get your news via the internet, while it still remains relatively censor free.
I agree but that just takes too much darn time and is not “entertaining.”
Most Americans are just too darn “busy” and have made it pretty clear they are unwilling to even be inconvenienced by turning off their TVs that are nothing more than a electronic sewer into their homes and families.
Glad we cancelled the Wall Street Journal, too.
“In their quest to control the mounting opposition to the corporate manipulation behind the DC Potemkin Village”
I don’t see how it is a Potemkin Village. The DC Swamp is not just a front nor a facade. It is wide and it is deep … … very very deep.
Good point. We are at war, but we don’t know it. Who’s going to declare the war. Who’s going to step up. PDJT is trying to do it from the office of president. Odds are something will keep him from the office.
Whether he gets the office or not, he will not succeed unless We the People take our communities back.
“I don’t see how its a Potempkin Village”.
Frequently, at first, people don’t see what Sundance sees and points out.
Fortunately, those who have learned to respect Sundance’s eyesight and foresight, keep looking until they see what he sees and understand what he’s trying to say.
God bless our fearless Totos, including Toto Trump and the Toto President Trumps been Re Truthing, Sundance.
“A lot of people are angry now.”
A key assumption that VDH makes is that Carlson was “fired”. We don’t know this and I’ve seen reports at least that Carlson remains under contract.
The distinction could be critical: Here in the UK this would likely mean Carlson is on what everyone calls “garden leave”. The idea is that there are certain people with whom a company’s clients build at stronger allegiance to than the company that person works for–a stockbroker is the classic paradigm–you trust a specific person to do you right not his company.
The way this is controlled is we put clauses into such person’s employment contracts that say we can pay them to stay home for months, even in some cases, years (and get paid to work in their garden, hence the term “garden leave”, the job they are literally paid for is to stay at home). The idea is we isolate the person from the company client(s) because he doesn’t (in my example) have a desk to execute trades from, and we expect the clients will go to someone else on staff for this.
In this scenario, if Fox can put Carlson on garden leave for two years, the idea is that someone else at Fox will take up the slack and a wedge will be successfully built between Carlson and his “clients” (his audience). Someone who will stick to the Washington Generals controlled opposition script.
$20m a year to accomplish this is beyond chump change given Carlson’s influence and I am sure people like Paul Ryan helped get third parties who wanted Carlson silenced to pay News Corp an exponential amount in aggregate to do so. It is probably not a coincidence that Carlson’s current contract runs through the 2024 election and then terminates.
If my analysis above is correct, then the outcome will turn on the state (not federal) law governing Carlson’s contract. Normally in England what happens if someone really important breaches a garden leave agreement by working for someone else during that time, we would go into court seeking an injunction against his subsequent employer from engaging him since he is under contract to us…and we would more likely than not win.
Tucker drew large numbers of democrat viewers. While the link is from Feb 2022, I’m unaware of any changes between then and now. Tucker was unifying in that sense, and perhaps that was another mortal sin in the eyes of Rupert Murdoch and his spawn.
Surprise! Tucker Carlson Draws the Most Democratic Viewers in Key Demo, Even Topping Rachel Maddow (thewrap.com)
Remember when Roseanne Barr had the #1 sitcom after Trump became President?
Remember Roseanne’s #1 sitcom was seen as “unifying” Americans again so they could start loving and talking with people they disagreed with, again?
Remember how Roseannes #1 sircom was abruptly cancelled for BS reasons and how psyop smears were deployed to smear and silence Roseanne?
Fortunately, these tactics, deployed by the OWO/NWO Death Cult, wont work like they did in 2017.
Unlike President Trumps MAGA Alliance, the Death Cult is too smug and dumb to live and learn.
Thank God.
VDH is a distraction.
“VDH is a distraction”.
Perhaps. Perhaps not.
However, Sundance was the one who brought VDH to his readers attention. And he added an explanation for his decision.
Unlike…..?

The Murdochs can sit and drink a Bud Light while they watch Tucker’s old time slot all by themselves. The rest of us are either over at Newsmax, or here.
Newsmax isn’t much better than Fox; they refuse to actually discuss election fraud either. (Anytime you see a sentence calling it “baseless”, ask by whom, how, when, where, and why it was proved baseless? “Because I said so” is not a proof.)
They didn’t leave the Republican party. They were never Republicans to begin with.
They didn’t want to go ALL THE WAY to Delaware?
Did somebody relocate Delaware to some far off galaxy?
So we’re supposed to believe Rupert Murdoch, the Australian globetrotting Globalist, made an ’emotional’ decision to fire him?
So an emotional recluse, apparently afraid of travel, some awkward combination of Howard Hughes and Hoopi Goldberg, fired Tucker Carlson because Delaware is too far away, and besides that, he’s going through menopause?
Where do they come up with this stuff? 😂
Never kill a spider… just don’t do it…
I tend to cuncur – spiders eat roaches, so are sacrosanct, at least here in Florida. Stay out of their way, wave a hand beneath them and watch them climb to the ceiling…
I like this guy but stopped a minute + a half in on this one…
Victor Davis Hanson, Professor of the Antiquites, and the Classics, and the History of Human Folly and Triumph, has always been a favorite of mine. His recounting of life in the Sacramento Delta, trying to keep a family Almond orchard alive and profitable in the face of the Illegal Invasion is a jewel and treasure in the accounting to history of the descent of America into anarchy that will be one day recounted by his future peers.
TV is dead, is the message I hear here. Jolly good, let’s get on with the show by any means necessary. Ah, the Internet is here, let’s use that!
I’m a Scorpio. I liked your spider metaphor. There are millions of us. We are coming after corporate America— and those who are strangling our freedoms.
🕷
Me too. And yes we are.
I think it’s pretty clear that Tucker was fired over J6, as that narrative is necessary to the federal cases against Trump, and to the Democrats and Never-Trumper’s campaign to define him as a threat to democracy.
Look for odious Paulie Ryan to urge Fox to drop VDH as a contributor after being named and accurately described as a perp in this interview.
Why cant Tucker make his own Network. Im sure Trump and Lindell wouldn’t mind talking to Tucker about it
Call it the Magaopolis News Network
A network on what medium? Broadcast TV? Long dead. Cable? Dying. Internet – yes that’s the ticket!!
They opened the barn door! The horses are scattered and free!
I’m just reading the screen chyron: ‘fox news cannot replace him (tucker)”.
and my reaction is: sure they can. in fact the entire purpose of corporate media is to replace people. Will the replacement be tucker? of course not. Will the replacement be as financially rewarding and attract more sponsors to fox media? I am sure THAT is the plan. If you examine what tucker was doing, you find his ratings were incredibly top in every sane objective scoring. But does his show sell ads? Actually sell revenue from consumers? that’s how the corporations operate. Having a top dog capturing the attention of a high percentage of viewers is just one part of what makes the business work. The corporation must have a return on its investments. This is how they operate. Tucker will be replaced by someone who will also be exciting to watch…hit on some hot button, but NEVER CROSS THE LINE. Right speech will be enforced. The advertisers demand it. And that is ALL that matters to corporations. This is the age of controlled speech…political speech…an era of corporate controlled monitored sanitized, carefully guarded slightly nuanced “reporting”.
sure they will replace tucker. and the sad part is that millions of americans who followed tucker and have the entire eye hand coordination thing down to a precision science, will continue to tap the remote at the proper hour and watch to see who the new person is…and eventually they will LEARN to love that person. This is the power of the idiot box. The tv tells you what to do, when to do it, and how to think. And so many people do just that. It’s one part how main stream maniac cable tv operates…and one part how human conditioning operates. the corporations are very keyed into this relationship.
BUT….will all people who watched tucker and understand NOW how this entire fiasco developed..and WHY, will they remain loyal to a brand…and their predisposition to a branding…? I would say yes, there will be a large number of people who will leave fox, and probably are looking for Tucker and see what platform he can continue. How many, who knows. But I am sure there are many viewers who realized they need to reexamine the blue pill red pill choice.
I personally predict that more and more people will continue to move toward alternative outlets to get their news. And for other reasons too. Cable tv subscriptions are very expensive for lots of people…the programming sucks…choices are dumb and narrow and in a time when most people are really feeling the pain of a broad economic shock to the bottom line, cable tv doesn’t seem affordable.
I like the idea of donation based news (and entertainment)…a fee for a specific programming you want and no ads. I think this is one of the things that elon musk is rumored to be experimenting with in his “X” app/twitter idea. Will see how well that works. I personally like the idea that I can spend say, 20 bucks a week and get the programming I want…live or play it back when it’s convenient. What I do not like is scheduled programming that does not allow me to easily watch unless I change me entire life schedule to match a corporations idea of when I should be allowed to view it…and worse the idiotic ads that eats up easily 20-30 minutes of each hour of programming. It seems to me, a simple guy, why am I paying for programming when I have no control over the ads forced in that hour.
time for some changes. I made my choices a few years back. I do not watch cable crap. I find most of it dull, uninteresting, unambitious and too NEW YORK CITY for my taste. I have better things to do with my time and my money that sit on a couch and throw furniture at the idiot box.
this is one of the primary reasons I was drawn to CTH, the last refuge. The community of real people whom I have grown to learn from and respect. I don’t throw furniture at this friendly and yet very serious and sober journalism. It’s made all the difference for me. I no longer feel helpless and woeful. I am ENGAGED. Invigorated and enthusiastic. That IS WHAT NEWS REPORTING should be about. Not just to inform citizens…but to raise the issues and set forth actionable measures to
make what ought to be
what is
God Bless America
“Tucker will be replaced by someone who will also be exciting to watch…hit on some hot button, but NEVER CROSS THE LINE. Right speech will be enforced. “
regitiger, I respectfully disagree. If there was anyone who matched Tucker’s ability to attract viewership that person would already be on the air somewhere. But IMHO there is no one who could achieve those ratings AND avoid speaking the truth on the most controversial and impactful issues of the time. That’s why Tucker led all the other news analysis/opinion shows on TV.
I agree, just like it was said about the Grateful Dead, “They aren’t the best at what they do, they’re the only ones who do what they do.” They were unique in what they did in which no other band has been able to mimic.
I view Tucker Carlson the same way. Carlson is unique in the sense of speaking truth to power, pushing the envelope, but he delivers this in a informative and entertaining fashion. There isn’t anybody on tv doing exactly the same thing or doing the same thing as well as him.
Exactly.
Regitiger, I always appreciate your take on many of the issues that are addressed upon these pages. This site is my main source for truth and having posters such as yourself share your opinions is why I to hang out in this fabulous and oh so sturdy Treehouse. So many of you feel like friends – and I value and respect everyones comments. Sundance gives us the meat (and yes I am a carnivore) but I appreciate all the sides and deserts the Treepers bring to this “meal” daily. God Bless you, God Bless Sundance for creating this sharing place of ideas, God Bless all our fellow patriots and God bless America!
The full version covers quite an extensive range with succinct insights, especially where the topic on President Trump’s and DeSantis’ electability is enlightening. True too that Americans are weary of all the exhausting drama running all through President Trump’s tenure with more of the same still ongoing and there will be no shortage of new ones for the next couple of years. Perhaps the insightful perspective of President Trump needing to change his approach instead of rehashing the exhausting drama and attack tactics is a welcoming viewpoint. Of special mention to illustrate what Hanson meant he cited the latest campaign video as being very much more effective and why.
also Democrats using institutional processes is not something they will capitalise on full tilt.
Hope someone can get this whole video to President Trump.
Correction : ‘Definitely’ something, instead of ‘not’ something

Real Wars are really exhausting. Fighting will only end when the enemy is defeated because President Trump and his MAGA Alliance are too realpolitik and psywzr savvy to ever surrendered to the OWO/NWO Death Cult.
Nor will they accept their bait bribe lies that picking a Vichy Republican candidate rather than Trump will return us to normal and end the need for fighting.
Notice that psyop narratives used by the Death Cult to sell Joe in 2020 are now being used to sell Ron?
These people need to shed their inaction, defeatist attitudes and be convinced themselves that no one and what each does is too insignificant to be counted.
Firing Carlson put Fox channel into an “existential crisis.”
But firing Tucker is seriously different than any other firing. When O’Reilly was fired, there were basically two sides presented by the media. Fox was the more conservative side, and that could be easily filled in with other conservatives. Today, the two sides are different. There is the establishment, govt, Blackrock, globalist, leftist side–the uniparty side– and the demonized conservative American people who have been relentlessly attacked since the Covid years. Free speech has been crushed. The political party in power arrested the political figure whom we trust and has relentlessly, viciously attacked him and anyone surrounding him with lies and weaponized lawlessness since 2016. The J6 debacle was at its heart a Reichstadt whose intention was not only to derail a legitimate view of the evidence, but to attack and marginalize us for choosing a different candidate, for our values, for daring to take up space in a country that the left wants to dominate.
We see through the propaganda–it’s not working anymore–and we know that the next step is force. We know the intentions of those in power are not good and that they plan to make things worse. Tucker was the lone voice who spoke for us–who understood what was happening and who spoke the truth regardless of the heavy-handedness that had so many capitulating to actions like pronouns that they didn’t believe in. And because Tucker was talented enough to explain perfectly what the leftist, globalist powerful really wanted to do to us, they silenced him. They shut him down and have him in a situation where he can’t go elsewhere, like a corporation that buys up a patent for a better technology in order to bury it so it doesn’t overshadow its own product.
The difference is that Fox did this to US–not just to Tucker. And like others who have betrayed us after we trusted them, we dislike Fox more than we even dislike the crazy leftist media conglomerates. We will NEVER come back. I feel bad for those who are still there, but they need to leave too. Like Bud Light, which grossly insulted its customer base, Fox has grossly insulted, betrayed and has shown itself to be the enemy of its customer base. It’s over. Even if we forgive, we will never trust you again, Fox. We have come to understand that we have been in a war we never chose–a war of propaganda and censorship, of gaslighting and ostracization. We get it. And we know unequivocally, exactly which side you are on, Fox.
I look forward to where Tucker will go after this. His brief Twitter speech had nearly 80 million views. I’m sure his next venture will be just as successful. We will all be there, following him wherever he goes, and cheering him on.
” Like others who have betrayed us after we trusted them, we dislike Fox more than we even dislike the crazy leftist media conglomerates. We will NEVER come back. ” “Fox has grossly insulted, betrayed and has shown itself to be the enemy of its customer base. It’s over.”
You nailed it, Mary!
I see a common theme among commenters, and that is A HOPE FOR LEADERSHIP THAT WILL ACTUALLY SOLVE PROBLEMS !
I am approaching 80 years old and my family members total 35; ALL BUT 3 ARE LIBERAL !!!
So if I am going to war against the left, that means warring against my family.
The only solution I see is in UNIFICATION, and that can only come from HE LORD HIMSELF !!!
He says with the new covenant He will put his laws into our heart; THAT WILL SOLVE EVERY PROBLEM I CAN IMAGINE !!!
VDH gives a good high level Stanford ivory tower view on the Tucker situation. He has been nudged over in the last few years and seems to have change views like Tucker on J6th, Lab Leak, the bad safety and effectiveness of kill shots, etc, etc still needs to work on the blackbox, phantom ballots, mail in and drop box organized crime election system that even Tucker would not talk about that. Most of the above, in my opinion has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt and the election system fraud so far by a; preponderance of evidence.
(If your willing to look) besides THE BURDEN OF PROOF IS ON THE LAB AND BOTH MANUFACTURERS.
REF: the Constitution: 1st amendment, Sullivan v Ny Times, Declaration of Independence: Exclaiming the grievances against King George the III.

Love VDH!
The Networks have always focused on THE PERSONALITIES, packageing and marketing the person AS the product.
TC WASN’T the reason his show was so popular, not really. If he had rattled on the same old company line, like Hannity, Ingram, etc. his show would not have become the most popular.
It was WHAT he was saying, NOT who was saying it.
It was that he was saying THE TRUTH, …OUT LOUD that his audience KNEW to BE the truth, and SO wanted somebody, ANYBODY to SAY.
And, the truth, and hearing the truth that you KNOW to BE the truth, and that everyone is denying, hearing it spoken outloud is ADDICTING, it really IS.
It causes a massive jolt of dopamine to be released, along with adrenalin as the fist pumps and bumps fly.
Once addicted, if the source of the “fix” is removed, the addicts WILL seek out alternative sources, in this case for THE TRUTH.
And, they willl no longer stand for aldulterated, watered down “stuff”; having HAD “the good stuff” they will not settle for less, because it simply won’t satisfy their craving.
And thus Lamestream legacy media,….dies.
A thought here about the Truth coming out and people seeking the Truth — and its relationship to aging and dementia. I know dementia is a very complicated topic, but I noticed something and I would really like to run it by the Treeper family for input. Is it just me, or does anyone else see a relationship between people who are actually seeking the Truth, trying to puzzle it all out, ferreting out leads, thinking about relationships between facts vs. those who are – well, lying – or covering up, or dedicated to a narrative and the onset of dementia. I have noticed this pattern in some people in my personal life — not necessarily political related – but very clear in relationship to seeking the Truth. Your thoughts most appreciated.
It’s just you.
Here in AZ we call those spiders –Wolf Spiders.
And yeah…..don’t try to kill them. Especially in the house!
And yeah..they like showers.
Word of advice—never turn on the shower until you check to make sure one is not in there. 🤪 it gets real ugly–fast!
Steven Edginton? Thanks for introducing me to a new ‘journalist’ to dislike immensely.
Although I would like to meet his hairdresser.
I’ll get back to you, right now I’m busy checking for spiders in my shower.
The other side of Tucker Carlson, not many if any “celebrities” are as down-to-earth

‘Coming from an aristocrat California family—a prep schooler—and knowing how the populist mind works is very unusual.’ Rush Limbaugh affectionately nick-named Tucker Carlson, Chatsworth Osborne Jr.—a TV character from the 1960’s Dobie Gillis Show.
Affectionately…sure if you say so.
Yes, you and I know a lot better than that. Rush was not the jewel these people give him credit for. And, he was such an out of control Oxy drug addict he went deaf over it.
RUSH: “No, no, no, no. I was not describing Tucker as a no-nothing elitist. It’s a physical similarity, Chatsworth Osborne, Jr. And I named him that when Tucker was hosting Crossfire back on CNN.”
“I was nine or 10 years old when the show ran. I’m not even sure my memory of it is accurate. But what you need to know is that it was an affectionate nickname.”
