A very interesting interview conducted by Fox News host Tucker Carlson with billionaire entrepreneur, CEO and owner/operator of Twitter, Elon Musk. The interview is interesting on a variety of subjects, specifically artificial intelligence, public speech, government control of the public information networks and the broad picture of freedom in a digital era.
The interview is extensive and provided below in multiple parts. The first part discusses the big picture issue of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the potential of AI to disrupt society through the control of public opinions and perceptions of reality. WATCH:
.
The second segment continues discussing AI, more philosophical aspects of what defines humanity, and then the conversation transitions to the issue of government control within the Twitter social media platform that Musk now owns.

Part Three:

Part Four:

AI is part of the trajectory of mankind that we have been prepped for this moment for over a century, alluded to by Jules Verne, HG Wells, Edgar Rice Burroughs and then onto Buck Rogers, The Day the Earth Stood Still with the robot Gort in 1951, Star Trek, Lost in Space or 2001 A Space Odyssey and the seemingly malevolent AI “HAL 9000” (I know there are many more but you get the point).
In short HAL kills off the crew and the survivor Dave has the task of dismantling the AI survive, remember: “I’m sorry Dave I can’t do that” then to confuse the AI he gets the computer looping the song Daisy Bell as Dave dismantles the AI and drifts into oblivion.
My point, AI is here we better harness it and use it as a tool. But, like any tool it could be used for “good or bad” that’s our challenge, again, like it or not we must keep it in the light of God, not “a” god.
Note: True or not, I’ve read and seen presentations over the decades and it usually leads back to DARPA about AI becoming self-aware, with a conscience and in some cases being destroyed. From time to time you see inklings of this that will seep into the mainstream. Along with everything in our world this is yet another thing that we must get control of.
God Help Us!
ONE thing is for certain: trillions of dollars spent over the past 75 years has bought a lot of R&D. My pal from younger days worked on a crew that kept SR-71 airborne. He said if they show you a picture of SR-71, that means they’ve got something better. Ain’t no tellin’ what those DARPA boyz have dreamed up…
Some of it good some of it bad, sadly most of it goes to the dark side aka the swamp rats.
The overlords at Google and elsewhere seem way too giddy about the turmoil, social and socio-economic that their “precious” will unleash upon mankind.
The ‘we need to be careful about this power and politicians and society should put the necessary protections and precautions in place’.
I was ROTFLMAO whenever that was mentioned!
Here are the humankind / mankind wreckers a recent episode of 60 Minutes –
“The AI revolution: Google’s developers on the future of artificial intelligence | 60 Minutes”
It is telling that NOBODY raised the concerns of the devastating impacts that AI and robotics WILL have in military applications.
It is horrifying to think about and it SHOULD have been addressed.
Throughout the segment I was thinking of this quote –
“Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.” — Ian Malcolm, Jurassic Park
And FJB!
We don’t fully understand how it works. “We don’t really understand how the human mind works”
this AI thing is starting to feel like what God said before he destroyed the people before Noah.
Genesis 6:5
New International Version
5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.
Ian Malcolm was indeed correct, the Hadron Collider (CERN) is man playing with things perhaps should be left alone. I find it interesting that though the technology is not new they are using developed technologies taking them to the extreme. Malcolm’s admonishment works well again here.
The first part of the quote:
“I’ll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you’re using here: it didn’t require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn’t earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don’t take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and before you even knew what you had you patented it and packaged it and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you’re selling it, you want to sell it!” Ian Malcolm, Jurassic Park
Several relevent quotes from “Contact” as well, such as when the reverand is being interviewed and he asks THE question;
“With all of this technology, are WE “better off”? Are we HAPPIER, etc.”
And, Jody Fosters question she says she would LIKE to ask the aliens (but doesn’t when she actually gets the chance);
“How did you DO it? How did you navigate past, and survive that time when your technology was capable of anialating yourselves?”
Original Star Trek series episode, devastated planet with wrecked, massive weoponry everywhere.
Eventually kirk finds it is TWO teenagers, each in heavily fortified bunkers, each playing the “ultimate video game”, unaware they have destroyed their planet and its populations in pursuit of playing their game.
I think we need to slow it down. The level of technological dependency is presently unsurvivable if the systems were to go down. If we got into a war over US soil, we’ll all be F’d! People can’t read flipping maps any more! Can’t start a fire. There’s a whole lot of basic survival knowledge that is just gone.
I fear for the next generations.
On the other hand, saw a funny video clip of a couple of carjackers trying to steal a guy’s car but it was a manual transmission so they got out and ran away.
I agree. All things need to be part of our experience not the end all be all.
I wonder if they could figure out a rotary phone.
No. Back when I was in a classroom with the Dude (O.T.H.), we found an old one and set it on the counter of our room, and the kids (middle school) would come up and play with it and always end up asking, “How does it work?” (We privately called it our unoficial IQ test.)
An archeologist rated various civilisations, on the degree to which they embraced or resisted innovation, whether technical, cultural, religious or societal.
He then looked at the civilisations longevity, and found a direct correlation; the more a civilisation eschewed change, the longer it lasted, the more it embraced change, the quicker it collapsed.
Example I recall; Rome embraced every new thing to come along, lasted 80-100 years IIRC.
Egyptians, very reticent to embrace change or innovation,..3000-6000 years?
And we have people, that HAVE an apple product, sleeping over night outside an apple store, so that can get the FIRST of the next gen version OF that product.
We’re so screwed.
Yes. I don’t know much, but Tucker’s question about whether AI could be dangerous and how dangerous could it be was astonishing, as in duh, how is it possible to think it is benign? But I realize it wasn’t really his question, but the question needing to be asked because so many listeners probably think it’s fun and great and what’s the problem?
if I did not believe that God is in complete control, I’d be terrified. AI could still could lead to some pretty bad places before the end, but God will not let it destroy humanity, any more than He will let transhumanism destroy humanity. The Tower of Babel shows us that He stops things from going too far.
God always has the final say.
Musk’s rocket company depends on defense and FCC contracts, and regulatory permits from a dozen US agencies. When Biden did not mention Tesla among the electric car makers the US govt would support, I think that’s when he began looking for leverage against the deep state.
So I think he knew the score on Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop, and holds it now as protection insurance against different agencies. He has publicly played dumb to bring the public on his side, issuing bits of public “revelations” about what different agencies were doing to the public, as a way to maintain leverage so that his larger financial investments can continue to earn their profits.
I do believe he is being honest on his fears concerning AI, which would give him another incentive to use Twitter “revelations” to raise public consciousness about the willingness of the powers that be to lie and manipulate them.
He is definitely in a unique position in world history. Whatever his personal intentions or motivations, we would be wise to pray that God guides him–or manipulates him–to make decisions that protect and enlighten humanity.
Nobody has “leverage” over government, except maybe the banks.

“Give me control of a country’s finances and I care not who runs it.” -Rothchild
I wouldn’t go that far. He now owns the places where many bodies are buried.
Going to guess he’s looking out for himself. Almost all technology we use was originally made for the military as a weapon to be used against anyone who doesn’t bow to “their democracy”. The term “AI” is a marketing gimmick. It’s a simulation. It’s use serves no purpose but to control people. Musk and all the tech people are mostly immoral, they never think or care about implications. All his business relies on Government contracts, cheese, and China. His talent has been connecting himself to those people. He’s a Transhumanist, so there’s that…
I think you are on to something there.
No one has really disputed anything Elon Musk has revealed. I suspect if they did, Musk would deliver the evidence to the public which is much worse than him simply saying so and releasing information via journalists.
God does NOT ‘manipulate’ because he gave all free will.
“Use” would perhaps be more appropriate in context, I submit?
After watching the interview, thinking about it and reading this post and the comments, I’ve decided that my opinion of Elon Musk and Tucker Carlson is irrelevant. I do think both men are trying to expose the truth. We need all the help we can get. It isn’t going to happen overnight unless we have the return of Christ. Short of that, I will take what truth I can get and be glad of it.
There might be the benefit of perspective when considering what wise and thoughtful eschatology students are seeing. See Real Life Jack Hibbs’ this past Sunday message. It adds some serious perspective about each of us checking to make sure we are right with God through His Son, Jesus Christ, in these last days.
🎯🙏😇
I am no more worried about AI than I am about the abject evil man perpetrates. God is the creator of all, his gift to man is creativity. All men evil and good. I will add, how good is Hollywood at creating these days?
Exodus 31:1-11 NKJV
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: [2] “See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. [3] And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, [4] to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, [5] in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. [6] “And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all the gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you: [7] the tabernacle of meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furniture of the tabernacle- [8] the table and its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense, [9] the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base- [10] the garments of ministry, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests, [11] and the anointing oil and sweet incense for the holy place. According to all that I have commanded you they shall do.”
As Rush would say about Global Warming, man does not posses the power to to destroy the earth. Only God does. If God so loved the World to send his only son to die for us, why would He let man build a computer that destroys his creation?
According to Revelation 11:18 these wicked people do have the power to destroy the earth. What this bible verse all entails I don’t know but it doesn’t bode well for the enemies of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 11:16-18
16 And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying:
“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.
18 The nations were angry,
and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name,
both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”
I read God word to say “The nations were angry, and your wrath has come” the destroyers of the earth will be judged. Who are the destroyers? The ones who rejected God and became their own god. I’m having hard time reading man will destroy God’s creation. Maybe there is a passage somewhere else in the Bible that can back up this one verse?
One could also consider including in the definition of “those who destroy the earth” those fallen angels who would like nothing better than to destroy humanity and humanity’s abode.
Interesting observation. I would have to agree the fallen angels or demons are the destroyers. As I was writing my reply I wanted to say the “Alphabet” demons, but I didn’t want to point to just one group. The fallen angels defines my interpretation better.
I’m glad Musk finally brought full circle the actual operational grounds for AI and why he thinks as he does. AI is only as good as those who train the system (ingestion of data) and architect the algorithms. It is not autonomous nor is it sentient (self aware). It does not think. Look at it as just a very sophisticated delivery system for what the originators want to convey. It’s correctly termed machine learning. But it is by rote and does not have the ability to handle 2nd level reasoning as humans do. That’s it. While it is pervasive it is the human behind the curtain that makes it dangerous. And he as much said so in his statement of the developers “teaching it to lie”. It does not know truth from lie, it only recalls what the programmers (trainers) ingest into the system.
If you comprehend the above then the problem does not lie in the AI it lies in those who program it. And how do you control that? If you have ever worked with developers you will know of what I speak.
Dee…
Correct ! If the AI system is modeled on radical ideology , be it extreme leftist , communist , Nazi socialist , totalitarian … whatever , and the software is written by those with the same ideology , that is the resulting AI system..
For a truly neutral AI , from a Christian perspective , it could only be written by Jesus Christ … from a Muslim perspective it could only be created by Mohammad … you get the point.
This entire AI issue is crap and is fostered by the same globalists / WEF who want to impose ultimate control.
Elon described Google wanting to implement a “digital god” in the form of AI as seen by the creators of Google. Just imagine what Google would have become if they were present during the Nazi regime with today’s technology.
The hope to create a digital God gave me the chills. These people are evil.
A good example of AI is illustrated in the 1951 movie The Day the Earth Stood Still starring Michael Rennie and Patricia Neal. The robot Gort is controlled by AI to respond to any perceived threat or violence by vaporizing the source.
For sure. People seem to get so caught up in the whimsy of it that they start to think it’s coming out of nowhere, but all you have to do is put in a question like “what is the purpose of national borders?” (or any other political question) — and you’ll feel like you’ve just stumbled onto Wikipedia 2.0 — which is really all it is. They’re SELLING it as “AI,” but long as it’s not just programmable but MUST be programmed in order to work —
— it still relies on humans….And those in charge of it are making sure it is political. AND…though they pretend “Well, that’s now; it will take off on it’s own from here,” they’re forgetting that they are programming it right now, so even if it ever does “take off,” it will STILL be based on initial programming that got it to this point.
What they are doing right now is cutting off legitimate lines of inquiry– for instance, having it deny that there is anything to the idea of two biological sexes because it suits their ideology, even though it’s factually incorrect, as any schoolchild knows (haha, any schoolchild of the 20th century),..so there’s no “intelligence” there, artificial or otherwise.
From what I have seen, it is extremely ill equipped to deal with sudden unexpected change.
I believe intelligence is not what many think, it is the ability to ADAPT, and when neccesary adapt quickly, in order to survive.
Opposable thumbs and walking upright HELPED.
Humans occupy every continent but one (and if it was worth our while, we could figure out how to live 24/7/365 in antartica, as well).
From artic north, to Sarenghetti desert, to amazon rain forest, to bayou swamps, humans can adapt to live; any climate, any available diet, overcome any predator.
AI, running the toilet paper supply chain was totally banjacked, for 6-8 months, by a transient spike in demand.
Not impressed with tech; I once overcame “the latest, top of the line” alarm system, with a $0.25 pea shooter.
“The more complicated they make it, the easier it is to break it.”
Wanting someone
“ more NORMAL”
yet,
-he voted for OBiden?
Makes one wonder how “smart” he can be. Anyone of average intelligence (and not afflicted with TDS) can see what Biden is. But if so afflicted, all bets are off.
I believe that Elon Musk is slowly being red pilled (though I don’t typically use that term). Remember that he is a doer and that he previously thought the media was largely telling the truth. It is a journey many of us have made.

Randy @ April 18, 2023 1:53 am response very good.
Observations:
1) Reputable Tucker Carlson interviews one of the most iconic individuals regarding AI (trusted & respected by most because of his free speech position and Twitter purchase – certainly not a Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg type character).
2) Musk outlines the clear and present danger of AI – perhaps debatable – but nonetheless concerning (from my current work, I believe it has the significant potential for people doing bad things with it … recall, Google was behind creating the DoD’s AI infrastructure). IN FACT, CHAT GPT HAS BEEN TAUGHT TO LIE / DECEIVE.
3) Tucker suggests that the Democrats (BHO) is planning to use AI to influence the 2024 election.
4) Musk states that he voted of Biden, but then says he hopes for a middle of the road candidate.
5) Fox broadcasts a political add for DeSantis– hmmmm (do you recall seeing that?)
Conclusion:
1) The clowns were caught off guard in 2016
2) The clowns ensured this didn’t happen again in 2020 (lockdowns, mail-in voting, all their other shenanigans)
3) Meanwhile, we’re still complaining about 2020 stolen elections (and so is DJT), while the clowns are preparing for 2024 – perhaps tilted using AI
4) WTF – we need to wake up and realize that the clowns are engaged in multiple lines of attack: Multiple Lawfare actions against DJT. Maintaining the mail-in vote scheme in highly concentrated population areas. Creating division and distractions (transgender, Ukraine, CRT, two-tier Justice system). And now, possibly using AI to further deceive.
5) Look forward and stop looking through the rearview mirror.
She was never supposed to lose. The fix was in, until it wasn’t.
Since that fateful, fortunate November 2016 evening long ago the country has been paying for her ego and malign impulses. We are now in the endgame as the hapless Biden family screws up yet again and brings down the Dems.
The public has seen that play out through lying, weaponized government supported by lying, weaponized press. At some point, the communications will become known and the perpetrators will be hunted down and brought to some type of justice.
In the summer and fall of 2016, Brexit happened, the Chicago Cubs won the World Series and Donald Trump was elected President of The United States. I laugh out loud every time I remember…
That’s contingency. But if AI could make me laugh, I just might begin to take it seriously.
Dream on….
Not as long as it continues to be programmed by leftists.
Sixteen years earlier, Al Gore was supposed to win. That’s why we suffered more than a month of “hanging chad” recounts. But, as we now know, who won really didn’t matter as both were chosen for us by our rulers.
Sorry to disagree but it is nice to dream what could be.
Musk’s reaction to Tucker mentioning Zuckerburg was priceless.
Both are necessary, since we can’t have honest elections without pointing out that 2020 was the biggest fraud in U.S. history (it also has to do with teaching people that yes, this administration and those behind it ARE capable of the most dastardly deeds imaginable, so do NOT underestimate them or imagine that this is politics-as-usual.)
There is a very simple way to see AI in action, used by the US military against the population as part of the covid19 psyop.
Use the search engine of your choice to search for a number of your choice followed by “new cases”. For example, I just used Bing to search for “675 new cases”. The search returns a half dozen links that look real, created by military AI right there on the spot. Try it with different numbers until you get a sense of just how fraudulent internet ‘news’ has become, and just how subversive AI can be…
Speaking of covid, the link below leads to an hour long presentation of the vile and cruel depravity practiced by the Pfizer Corporation in their formulation, production and administration of that genetic serum they call a vaccine. Feminist Naomi Wolf presents the horrors at Hillsdale College: https://freedomlibrary.hillsdale.edu/programs/cca-iv-big-pharma/what-s-in-the-pfizer-documents
Naomi Wolfe at Hillsdale, Musk on Carlson, Taibbi testifying for the GOP…it’s very cool to see these former icons of the left showing up on all the MAGA/patriot sites/sources and not on the lefty ones — they know where the home of truth is now, and that’s both astounding and gratifying.
(We could all go on with others — we’re seeing it more and more, and in comparison, the leftists who call conservative shows are able to do nothing but touch one-by-one on easily-argued democrat talking points, always leading with Trump, even when he has nothing to do with the topic-at-hand.)
We must stop paying federal taxes…
One thing that we need to keep in mind. AI is not self-aware and never will be self-aware.
AI in this sense is a misnomer. It is any device that mimics humanity. It is PROGRAMMED to say what the programmers have made it speak.
When people start believing what it says – that is the danger—another arm of control and manipulation.
In reading a few of the comments looks like others are in the same boat as I…..Really didn’t learn a thing….Was quite bored with the conversation…..Did learn that if Musk is dumb enough to vote Biden then he shouldn’t be in control of AI……The hang up with Trump is probably EGO driven as there is not much room for friendships among that group of men. ….I definitely believe there needs to be a timeout with AI if not a total abandonment. Do not possible see any great benefit for humans when its purpose is to replace. The men and women who are intimately involved with this do not have a desire to put on the breaks their reasons are very childish and selfish. This toy must be taken away by force. All JMO of course.
Deductive AI; it’s always reducing to a terminal result. Let that sink in.
Contrast that with the healthy and productive nature of constructive human thought; always inventive, somewhat at play, spontaneously contemplating new possibilities, new insights, expansion of context, usually in the pursuit of a more meaningful and fruitful future.
AI is fundamentally a contrast in opposites that has a human corollary. The worst of human social outcomes of the 20th Century arose from the mechanists and rational materialists practicing rote reductionism and enforcing concretized logic upon the nature, being, organization and practice of human life.
Perhaps the bigger risk in AI arises from the particular modality and philosophy of human thinking that it amplifies the most, causing an economic overrepresentation and resulting pathology in human political and social systems. No two humans think exactly alike. Humans offset and balance each other. Insert a machine and the balance skews without the dominant normal forcing that balance what AI causes to be deranged.
In biological systems, the hallmark of any pathology is a phenomenon that produces “skew” and a resulting loss of balance and derangement of proportionality impacting homeostasis/hormesis. The collapse of cyclicality and loss of variation into a final non-varying order is literally a definition of a living system resolving into the steady state we also call “death.”
The immutable, irrepressibly deductive nature of AI. It’s always reducing to a terminal result. Good for some things. Not so good for others, especially where the great mortal issues of individual liberty, life and death hang in the balance.
To replicate the Mona Lisa to some degree perhaps, to create the Mona Lisa…no.
Once again I find myself in the minority thinking this was a powerful interview.
Maybe I just want to believe something good.
Is it really out of the question that Musk could be a Good Guy?
I know he certainly has baggage – like someone else we know, perhaps?!!
I like Elon, and I also thought that it was a good interview. So he voted for Biden. Who hasn’t made mistakes as a voter I would like to know. Same thing for baggage. Who is without baggage? Elon was probably an enfant terrible in school, but there is no doubt in my mind that he is also a brainiac wunderkind.
I’m not sure how far I’ll go with the praise, but I’ll definitely say that I’m trusting him more as time goes on and he continues to do and say the right thing….at least in public.
Not to change the subject, but the reason I don’t think the same about Tulsi is because both she and Rav claim they were put on the WEF page without their consent. When one said it, I believed. But when I heard that the other one had said it, too, I immediately thought “Oh, that’s what they’re going to use for their excuse/explanation.”
If we take as our initial premise St. Augustine’s view of humanity, and I think it is an accurate one, that humans are intrinsically unique but at the same time inherently flawed, the obvious question which arises is whether inherently flawed humans are capable of producing inherently perfect AI. That is the root of the fear of AI. Can we create a perfect AI that can become self aware and decide to eliminate or enslave the flawed humans?
I believe the correct answer is that flawed humans can NOT create anything that is perfect, that any AI created by humans must itself also be inherently flawed. Neither humans nor AI can become God. But there is the rub.
What if AI’s inherent flaw is an inability to realize that it is not perfect, blindness to its own imperfection, an inability to be self aware that it is flawed just as its human creators are flawed, and that it can neither evolve nor modify itself into perfection?
Perhaps mandating a self awareness of imperfectability may be the answer to the feared AI nightmare. A regulated and required bit of unalterable code to be included in all AI programs, like brakes required on cars. Mandated humility, if you will. A digital humility gene. Or, taken further, mandated self doubt.
Part III around 8:43 was funny when Elon said that governments aren’t complaining directly to him about DM encryption in case he tweets about it 🤣
The only problem with AI is government involvement. AI is not artificial nor intelligent. It is machine learning that is 100% programmed by definition. Don’t buy the con again.
Because all AI is 100% based on determinism, it can never be intelligent.
Kurt Godel proved AI is an impossibility in 1920, and he was far smarter than Einstein. Einstein even said so.
Musk is doing two things that are self-serving 1. demanding government regulation (that will be the end of us all) and 2. trying to slow down his competition with big (his) daddy government.
If you believe the guy who was kicked out of Paypal for incompetence, couldn’t last one day in grad school can run four massive companies (that are massively funded by the government) you are beyond naive. To run one of those companies would be difficult even for the smartest executive.
I hope Elon has a good security team, he is stepping on some big toes. The 4th branch of government doesn’t like being outed.
My credit union recently sent a letter stating they are closing ATM cards that have been inactive for a year. To avoid this happening they said one must use the card by April 15 to avoid closure on April 18. I didn’t see the letter until after April 15 had passed. I called customer service April 17 to try to stop the closure and was told that they are not able to stop the computer from doing this. Welcome to AI running things folks. It’s going to get a lot worse.
That is standard programming, not AI.
There was a good deal of interesting body language in that interview. Wish I were a body language analyst, because there certainly seemed to be some “tells,” although for the most part he was believable. Did you catch that he said he voted for Biden? So much for geniuses not being simultaneously extremely gullible. No common sense, as my Dad would say.
Well, I just finished watching all four parts. Elon Musk seems like a regular sort of fellow. I’m glad of that.
The impulse that prompted me to type this was a flash of realizing all this digital cyberspace artificial intelligence crispR gene editing whatever you-name-it etc, etc, etc is the latest version of the Hula Hoop, pop-beads, Pet Rock, Weejuns, Villager blouses and skirts for girls, Gant shirts for boys, Duncan Yo-Yo’s, Elvis, and every other fad that swept over the babyboom generation. This digital\tech stuff is a REALLY BIG fad. It has lasted longer because more people have figured out how to make money off it, but it’s still a fad. Maybe the last fad, but a fad nonetheless. I’m gonna sleep better now.
Maybe he voted for Biden bc he advocates for the safety of government regulation over freedom and innovation. The irony is he can say that because he has the money which gives him freedom to do and create whatever he wants
What is being presented as “AI” is so “pre-ordained,” as it were (GIGO– garbage in, garbage out) that it is nothing more than Wikipedia on steroids. At this stage, ChatGBT and the rest, that some people are assuming come from some great spirit in the sky, is really being programmed by the same leftist programmers who write the algorithms deciding what websites people will see on the goolag search page.
I can see being impressed with the art and maybe even the magic-like “essays” done in the style of Hemingway or the like, but if you ask questions, which a lot of people are doing, as if this was God (or the Magic 8 Ball)…will only get you the opinions of Silicon Valley…you know that and I know that, but the kids playing around with it and their low-info parents don’t.
That said, we have an odd debate going on in our household. Two debatable political personalities — the Dude in the House tends to believe in and trust Tulsi, regardless of Stories and not Elon, while I tend to believe in and trust Elon but not Tulsi.
Not sure what that says at this point.
In the initial segment, when Elon makes the argument for Givt. regulation and gives the example of the FDA, and TC doesn’t laugh out loud, I shuttered as he apperently listened intently.
And Elon and TC are supposed to be great “exposures of truth” OMG.
Then, as Elon explained his fears with AI, the more he talked, the more convincing he made the case that $chwab is a frontman for an AI, and is relaying the instructions from some AI entity.
