A very interesting interview conducted by Fox News host Tucker Carlson with billionaire entrepreneur, CEO and owner/operator of Twitter, Elon Musk. The interview is interesting on a variety of subjects, specifically artificial intelligence, public speech, government control of the public information networks and the broad picture of freedom in a digital era.
The interview is extensive and provided below in multiple parts. The first part discusses the big picture issue of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the potential of AI to disrupt society through the control of public opinions and perceptions of reality. WATCH:
.
The second segment continues discussing AI, more philosophical aspects of what defines humanity, and then the conversation transitions to the issue of government control within the Twitter social media platform that Musk now owns.
.
Part Three:
.
Part Four:
.
I’m glad that Musk bought Twitter.
However, I like most of us here don’t buy the idea that he didn’t know full well who was, and probably still is, largely pulling the strings.
Claims he was not aware of the amount of access government agencies had, which of course translates into their full control of the platform. Musk seems quite concerned with “truth”. If he truly means what he said regarding exposing and allowing the “truth” to be spread across the platform, the US government would have no roll at all on any social media platform.
One of you posted Dr Shiva’s work and suit. The access portal is akin to an elephant in the room that Musk did not notice? Impossible.
As of last week, Shiva told Steve Bannon it’s still there. So much for clamping down on censorship and surveillance by Musk.
Don’t you think it would be as hard for Musk to completely kick the govt out as for Trump to clear the swamp in one go?
I agree with your observation. Remember how often in 2017 we heard again again and again from folks in the administration that, “We had NO idea how deep the swamp was!” until they were installed in Washington DC.
I find it entirely possible that Musk did all due diligence before the sale, and that he and his advisors are finding things that they never ever imagined that Deep State did with this one branch of social media.
They may still be discovering even more and more, “YIKES, look at this, will ya!”
^^^^ THIS ^^^^
I reject the frequent accusation among commenters here (and elsewhere) that Musk essentially knew 100% of every aspect of the government’s involvement with the Twitter machinery before he bought it and even soon after he bought it.
The government is 100% illegally involved – they were / are violating people’s First Amendment rights as well as their Fourth Amendment rights. Given the consistency of Elon’s very public statements prior to the purchase, one would have to suspend critical thinking to believe the government made its involvement at Twitter clearly obvious or well-documented amd easily traceable.
This is the same U.S. government that looks directly at us (via the cameras and microphones) and lies through its teeth about EVERYTHING else. How on earth could anyone conclude that the government’s embedded personnel, the extent of their creation of and infiltration into the Twitter backbone, and records of their illegal spying and deleting tweets and data would be all open to Elon or anyone else to discover quickly???
Finally, I have viewed this interview several times between last night and today. IMHO Elon is being quite candid with Tucker, insofar as answering questions off-the-cuff and only measuring his replies to the extent that he doesn’t misspeak and utter something that does not truly reflect his thoughts as best as possible. I find Musk to be quite credible in this interview, and Tucker’s disarming, relaxed demeanor contributes to that atmosphere.
Having dated an extremely wealthy businessman who also acquired companies I actually cede Elon some credibility on not knowing the full extent of Twitter..in part because this sale was more or less forced on him if you recall…first he was gonna buy and then he pulled back and then the kangaroo court pressured him and then he gave in to the pressure and then they did not want him to buy it anymore…it was largely ridiculous, but it made for a unique situation and timing, whereby he may not have actually had a chance to do due diligence.
It was pure theatre.
I think he has enough money to pay someone to take care of the due diligence part.
Musk is a fraud. Two totally civil understated tweets I made yesterday expressing skepticism about the Ralph Yarl shooting were deleted almost instantly. Both were short and civil and very general.
I am not the slightest bit surprised. I am surprised at how many people respect this man’s spurious claims about free speech.
What did you say about Ralph Yarl?
All I said was that the story had holes and inconsistencies. The other comment just questioned the wisdom of sending ‘children’ to pick up small children late at night without a cellphone or certain directions.
He’s full of it, yes 👍
I had a few moments that scared the crap out of me in that interview. I mean…..whoa. AND I saw my first palm swiped today in North Dakota. You tie your credit card to your palm print and that’s all you need to purchase items. I want to go back to cash sooooi bad.
The same zombies who took the experimental injection because they obey the television will register their palm prints in the government database for purchases.
How to wake the zombies? How to get the zombies walking in the other direction?
Pascal20:

Truth. Brutal, in your face, shocking, disgusting, awful, horrifying truth.

Need some Daryl.
Daryl Hall?
“I can’t go for that. No can do.”
I agree, Daryl is the GOAT.
No. Daryl from The Walking Dead tv show. Lol
If they haven’t come to their senses after what just happened to us with Covid, there is no saving them. They will do exactly what the TV tells them to do – and with great glee.
Joan ~
I totally get your point, but “they,” in this case, haven’t yet seen the real truth.
What they’ve seen, and thus believe, is a perverted, altered perception of reality.
The truth-nuke I’m proposing is ugly and vile, and CAN’T be defended. This truth, if exposed via a medium that people trust, would open millions of unseeing eyes, and would overnight change the narrative.
Which, of course, is why this truth is being hidden so violently.
Yes, the TV is our enemy.
But…….what if we turned the TV into OUR weapon?

The problem becomes, these simpletons won’t want to be ‘awakened’, because to to do so would now require them to surgically remove the shit they’ve already paid to have implanted. When you see/know someone that has this in them, you can count them lost. Just avoid them.
There is an old expression – the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The next best time is now.
The best time to start working on this was 20-30 years ago. There is no next best time.
Great job, American conservatives! While you were busy indulging yourselves and telling yourselves America would never wind up like this, America wound up like this.
Awesome job.
As a friend said in regards to taking the covid boosters: “Just do what you are told.” That’s how most people live their lives these days. God help us!
Tell the zombies their children need to have their blood drawn, their fingerprints captured, their irises captured, and that ought to do it…oh, and the government will need to keep their children for about a week; so check back with them daily to see when little Sally needs to be picked up from the health department.
The zombies won’t change direction. It’s time to get right with God and save YOURSELF. For me, this took much introspection and a conscious desire to become God’s instrument.
As you begin to live YOUR best life, some in your immediate circle may well take note. If they do, you can then help THEM get right with God by your example.
In a poll seventy percent of Democrats said they trust the mainstream media.
I presume it was a fairly recent poll because only fourteen percent of Republicans and twenty percent of Independents answered affirmatively.
Something else that is potentially ominous is just how popular are the various so called “fact checkers” and why isn’t it better known that most of them are Soros funded?
“Because they obey the television.”
That’s a meme in waiting…
And so true.
CBDC = Game, Set, Match for eventual control of the human race.
Maybe.
Hugely dependent on energy.
Vulnerable from a system-of-systems perspective.
<…I saw my first palm swiped today in North Dakota. You tie your credit card to your palm print and that’s all you need to purchase items.>
Spending in North Dakota is out of hand 🙂
That. Was. Brilliant! Sir!
Nice one WORDMAN
R.D.
Citibank started the spending race decades ago in South Dakota…..ND is sooo new to the race…..
👏👌
“WORDMAN™ for the win, Peter.”
I was thinking “Purchasing items in North Dakota is hands down the best way to pay.” but then I didn’t want to get a bunch of groans from the comment section.
Definitely in your top 5 – very good!
Friend of mine who goes to Western Europe a lot says everyone over there has gone cashless.
Hard to believe, and hope that that is just “her experience”.
Europe has already yielded so much identity to the Islamist invasion that the lack of pushback makes some sense.
‘Cashless’ has also been here in the USA for quite a few years now.
My daughter’s university food concessions accepted only card swipes. And many sports stadium food concessions no longer accept cash. Same goes for transportation like Uber, buses and trains.
The conversion to a cashless society has been incremental. After the globalists long-planned economic crash and ‘great reset,’ the mark of the beast will be all that remains.
Movie theaters too.
Western Europe was always ahead of us.
I used a corporate credit card in England around 2010 while on business. The card didn’t have a chip and what a pain it was to use at some establishments. They had to pull out the carbon paper and old credit slide machine or write in the numbers.
Europeans are FAR MORE DISPOSED than us to accept soft socialism, as it’s just easier to convince people with feudalism in their long history to accept it.
That’s not in American blood.
I haven’t been to the movies in years. I went to a Regal Cinema a few days ago and the ticket booth was gone. Replaced with kiosks that do NOT accept cash! You must swipe a card. Cash is not accepted anymore there!
Strangely, there were also no employees checking your ticket, so it would be so easy to walk in without paying.
Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis blues again. Oh, Moma can this really be the end. Ain’t Gonna go to Hell for Anybody.
Scared me too. AI versus the American Rifleman. Epic on payperview.
Why did you allow your palm to be swiped? I would never allow that. And you are part of the problem in that you proceeded with it.
“…AND I saw my first palm swiped today in North Dakota. ” emphasis mine.
You strike out fast with your accusations. Take a minute and reflect.
They be loving that blue pill and will take it as long as offered.
Fewer of us take the red pill. To the governments of the west that makes us the enemy.
Is that better or worse than a credit card than can be swiped in any POS device that has no authentication at all? Better or worse than a signature that means nothing? Better or worse than mountains of cash cartels bring to the table for sex trade, drug, weapons transactions?
The government basically zero’d out a Russian equity I owned before the Ukraine MIC party started. No access in the brokerage to trade; no loss/gain capability for tax purposes; no response from the CPA, brokerage or Congressional rep on options. Just friggin gone. One can argue about ease of application, but at the end of the day the capacity for control is already in the system. It always will be from a macro perspective. Trillions of dollars in stored wealth; trillions in transactions. Most of it is already digitized. The Fed/Treasury already have the capability for fiat printing, balance sheet manipulation. The IRS already has the capability to show up at your front door donned in flak jackets, sporting automatic weapons.
Yes….that CBDC can be purposed for malevolent objectives by government should be weighed against alternatives. That does not ipso facto imply status quo ante or alternative is any better from a threat pov.
The issue here, obviously, is the integrity and viability of government itself.
When an organization stops attracting customers, you fire the CEO, get a new one, and rebrand.
Same beans still in the can…
Truth
I’ve met a few South Africans who now live in the United States and Musk definitely fits the mold. He’s smart, articulate and seems genuine! Tucker did an amazing interview and Musk put his head in the mouth of the tiger, that’s for sure!
Search Spectrum Labs and then peruse the leadership and then Google the folks that are the executives and see what their research papers are about. I’m a child of Silicon Valley and I actually worked closely with one of the angel investors. He was my boss at Grand Junction Networks. A big push to use AI to moderate social networks speech content. I think they’re using legitimate concerns about radicalization on the internet to parlay that into controlling any speech they deem to be anti-democrat party and anti government.
🎯
George Gilder’s book “LIfe After Google” addresses some of the irrefutable weaknesses of an AI ruled world. He also cites more than couple hundred companies that have been working for 20 years+ on the next technology which RESTORES privacy..and says that Big Tech is scared to death people will discover that’s out there. Gilder gave several interviews while Trump was in office and has been keeping quieter since but I don’t see the man shelving that research.
What?!
You mean to say those who code the AI algorithms and manage the data can exert a great deal of leverage on the technology? Or is it the people who direct the coders and data managers?
We should all pay more attention when the discussion turns to “bias”. Recall the the whole drama when Google hired then eventually fired Gebru and Mitchell (its AI “Ethics” directors) a few years ago?
Your concern is shared. What is the best path forward? Back in the day, I can recall nascent efforts to explore applications of AI in tactical weapons development. Technology will seek its water level. Who determines that water level?
Is the answer more government policy definition and enforcement?
It would not surprise me to learn that they themselves are behind the radicalization on the Internet.
Who says a Reichstag fire is only on the physical world.
These people will do ANYTHING to gain total control.
Definitely a possibility.
But our corruptocrats are also lazy. Not sure they would waste time doing actual work themselves, when they can just pick out anything that normal people say and brand it as radicalism for their purposes.
So called “AI” is computer code and data bases. It has no intelligence and no self awareness. And it is not something radically new.
Quite right.
The illusion is there because we have access to exponentially more computing power compared to even just a decade ago. It is just much more efficient at processing all that data.
“He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” -Revelation 13:15
Could be a reference to AI (the image of the beast) controlled by an evil man (the antichrist) as AI is little more than a quick-processing reflection (or image) of its programmers/engineers…
Interesting interpretation.
Well it is just speculation, though a distinct possibility I think.
I do not pretend to know details about the future based on as-of-yet unfulfilled prophecies. However I do suspect we will recognize events as being fulfilled prophecy AFTER those events happen… even as we can now with certain historical events.
Thank you for the reply.
Thank you . The fact that the AI reference is already so widely used suggests that the exaggeration of what it is is completely intentional.
It has no inherent intelligence, artificial or otherwise. It is software.
I believe the danger lies not so much in what it is, but in what innocent listeners and followers may believe it is.
Behold! The great and powerful OZ speaks! (Or at least whoever it is pulling the levers behind that curtain.)
Not yet. It very well could. There are plenty of videos of extremely smart people in the field that say it absolutely can have self awareness.
Corvids are self aware, as are dolphins, chimpanzees and some others.
There’s still a long way to go for passing a Turing test among other measures.
George Gilder has pointed out the problems that AI cannot overcome that make it inferior to human oversight forever.
No. It can be programmed to learn, and create new guidelines for learning, but it is still not human and has no soul, no conscience, thus no ethics.
Me to Bot: How do you feel about that, Bot?
Bot: Same ol’ garbage in, garbage out.
“So called “AI” is computer code and data bases. It has no intelligence and no self awareness. And it is not something radically new.”
Always, always rely upon any new technology being used for nefarious purposes. If they can figure out a way to make it do T2, they will.
Exactly.
We’re just so damn ignorant AND apathetic AND illogical..
Certainly making exceptions for MOST folks contributing here.
Every single person saying the sky has already fallen I do not include.
Ironic you write “always rely upon any new technology being used for nefarious purposes” because I just watched the movie “Nefarious”. The movie reveals how our culture is numbing us to accept evil. How convenient & selfish!
Yes and no.
Machine learning and multi-layered neural networks enable machines to “learn” independent of human intervention. Deep neural networks can produce accurate results (i.e., supervised) but the layered infrastructure itself is opaque.
Humans, of course, have the option of pulling the plug.
So does anyone think the Q stuff was military AI used on the masses?
Not me. Not necessary. It’s cheaper and easier to just lie in order to mislead people. Folks have been doing that since ancient times. AI is still amateur compared to the human capacity for creating stories out of thin air that the gullible will accept and sometimes PAY to support.
You mean things like Trump peeing on Russian Hookers? I still have a hard time w/that is what their creativity came up with and that people believed them.
WE cannot overlook anymore the dumbing down through so called academic …indoctrination NOR the absolute barrier to independent thought and progression beyond adolescent clique mindset that social media engendered.
Social Media straight up reversed the thousands of years of advice against gossip and vengeance, elevating them to cultural prominence.
I believe there was a plan. I believe Q was an idiot with inside knowledge, who let the enemy know the plan, which caused everyone in the plan to be discovered and dissuaded from enacting the plan.
Q should never have appeared, let alone loosened his lips.
Every battle that was ever lost, the loser had a plan.
Sometimes plans fail — it doesn’t mean they were fake the whole time.
One of the ways plans fail is when people can’t stop flapping their gums. Like Q.
Also, like everyone ostensibly on Our Side who keep telling us, and the enemy, “In two weeks we’re releasing X information… It will be a game changer!”
“Scream and leap, Louis Wu. We don’t tell you we’re going to attack you. We scream and leap.”
Who cares? This country is toast! It was completely hijacked by criminals and there is a fake savior named Trump who accomplished nothing last time. Good Luck to you all.
My my what a wussy response.
Good thing those rebels during the Boston Tea Party didn’t just say “The country is toast; Good luck to you all.”
It’s always just a handful who have the courage and the balls to actually do something.
Slipknotz is not a regular contributor…
Oh my goodness, THAT was a little too transparent…not sure if you are a poorly worded bot or just an hysterical leftie, but either way…tsk tsk…really poorly done.
Maybe an AI bot, showing some limits of AI
Points for the handle though!
Good Lord!
Thank God you were no where near any pivotal moments with human kind with that level of cowardice…be sure and wear a helmet when you go outside.
Good luck!
Even “60 Minutes” broached the AI problem, apparently.
Which is a very good thing, cuz a lot of people watch that who don’t watch Tucker, I would think.
Trendy, fashionable topic of the day.
That is all being done by design.
Ghost in the Machine.
Apparently corruption is contagious.
There’s a difference between doing things it wasn’t programmed to do and doing things they didn’t know it was programmed to do. I suspect the latter was what they observed. Happens to coders all the time.
If anything has intelligence or something closely resembling it, it’s GOING to go “rogue” no matter what. Why?
Because it is, for all practical purposes–actually intelligent or artificially so–figuring out decisions autonomously. Whenever there is figuring of new answers, there is no predetermined correct answer–else, why have it work the problem in the first place? Thus, this kind of thing will take its sponsor to wild, new places they never thought they’d visit or “experience”.
Which would be a greater threat?
1. A.I. goes rogue and slips the bonds of its creators, or
2. A.I. is kept tightly controlled by the Regime to do the Regime’s bidding, and to destroy the Regime’s enemies?
The immense threat to our post-enlightenment world has been building for a very long time.
The Left long ago recognized the potential of attacking truth as subjective.
When socialism first failed, and showed it would not succeed in practice, then objective truth became the enemy of all leftists.
Post-modernism is the name the Left has assigned to their total subjectivity.
Transgenderism is post -modernism stretched to its near breaking point.
So we’re subjected to global warming dogma, bereft of scientific truth.
And the censorship of any dissent from leftist whimsy afflicts us, endlessly.
While the Chinese bear waits in the woods, to scavenge whatever remains of the western fools.
Talking about China–a 5th column inside the US

The fact that China is tracking dissidents living in foreign countries should scare every citizen of the world.
Excellent comment thanks!
I know zilch about AI. As noted, it has no intelligence or self awareness. And my comment here, it’s just an output of someone’s input. I think the primary concerning issue is the constant increase of computing speeds that can more easily fool someone.
It’s been going on forever. I mean that photo shop picture of Stalin with someone by that river and then that person removed from the picture is the same as now digitally creating a person doing or saying something they really didn’t do or say. Just improve technology created by humans. Neither could happen by itself. Human input and manipulation was required.
I suspect it’ll mine thru articles and databases to assess a situation and give an answer
— but many of those articles will have been written by liberals
— and only some articles by conservatives
— that will be flagged in liberal articles with “conspiracy theory” and “failed fact-checking” smears
— and AI will bias its assessment, taking into account those denigrating smears of the conservative outlook
and it’ll return you a liberal and woke answer about pretty much any issue
and it’ll all be deemed ‘objective and impartial’ because ‘the machine did it’
Run a thought exercise:
Just mentally recall the reams of negative writing and denigration about Donald Trump since 2015
vs the comparatively much smaller fraction of positive writing about Donald Trump
at sites like this and at similar conservative-viewpoint forums
which have been largely smeared as “not reliable” or “extremist” or “only partly true” by liberal press and — ahem — so-called ‘fact-checking’ sites
Just run that mental exercise yourself as if you were AI
And what result do you get?
“Orange Man Monster, Eats Babies”
gnomesayin’ ?
AI in a nutshell, you heard it here first, kids
Brain washing w/electronics
Absolutely how I understand it , Nim .
thx, Ryder, nice to be in agreement with someone
of course I’m only guessing
I pasted my explanation over on the daily presidential thread for more visibility, I thought it was late-night enough here that there’d be few readers here on out
but it looks like there’s a lot of new discussion below, so guess I was wrong
one thing I added over there is that AI will be used the same way the Left tries to impose its will via so-called “fact-checking”
but they’ll point to the AI as an impartial judge because no human intervention, “it’s just the machine, the AI sorting thru information and gleaning the truth”
again – guessing – but I can see it going that way
“I suspect it’ll mine thru articles and databases to assess a situation and give an answer
— but many of those articles will have been written by liberals
— and only some articles by conservatives”
Liberal articles programed to assign a weight of 5.0
Conservative articles programed to assign a weight of 0.5
“I mean that photo shop picture of Stalin with someone by that river and then that person removed from the picture”
I like the photo on Seinfeld where George’s photo tech removed George’s boss from the photo and then had to fix the photo by drawing in a cartoon drawing of his boss…..
Get yourself a copy of this old movie. This is going to get worse and in a minute. We knew at the beginning, it was limited by the hardware. Multiply by 10X
Colossus: The Forbin Project
Thinking this will prevent war, the US government gives an impenetrable supercomputer total control over launching nuclear missiles. But what the computer does with the power is unimaginable to its creators.
Forbin is the designer of an incredibly sophisticated computer that will run all of America’s nuclear defenses. Shortly after being turned on, it detects the existence of Guardian, the Soviet counterpart, previously unknown to US Planners. Both computers insist that they be linked, and after taking safeguards to preserve confidential material, each side agrees to allow it. As soon as the link is established the two become a new Super computer and threaten the world with the immediate launch of nuclear weapons if they are detached. Colossus begins to give its plans for the management of the world under its guidance. Forbin and the other scientists form a technological resistance to Colossus which must operate underground.
A Department of Defense supercomputer known as Colossus develops its own intelligence independent of the machine’s programmers; starts sharing classified information with Guardian, its Soviet counterpart; and launches a plan for global domination.
Just started to watch and in the first 2 minutes he speaks of how we need to have regulations, FAA, Food and Drug, FEC to protect the public. Every last one of those agencies are corrupt. Just saying.
Who regulates the regulators?
Now back to watching….

Colossus: The Forbin Project
Google is already running an AI. Now, if you think the rest of the world has been setting on their backside. Then you would be wrong. How many are there now and how many more will be started based on today’s information?
Saw it years ago, thanks for the link, will enjoy watching it again.
Something like the same plot, of course, re-appeared years later in the Terminator series of movies.
And….. I wonder which one of our enemies is grinning in surprise wondering what good stroke of fortune occurred that the American public may actually be convinced to demand a total halt all research & development of AI …..
Hmmm….
It’s already too late my friends… AI is already coordinating them. Imagine an AI telling you what you need to do to get what you want.. How long do you think your enemy would wait to take advantage of what it can do for them? Instead of being taught how to work within nature it is being taught how to command and dominate nature…
If they were crazy enough to turn it on. Then you are right.
Musk has “F you” money. He says whatever he wants and if anybody doesn’t like it, he just says “F you”.
yeah, that was a refreshing aspect of watching him in these interviews:
you could tell
immensely self-confident and self-assured and showing not a thread of doubt about his outlook and positions; unflappable
power from talent and achievement, not power bestowed or inherited

Thank you for posting that interview.
Some are far from sold on a person with a vested ( beholden by stipulations ) interest in gov’mt. contract$

No doubt a smart person also has an interest in trying to find a way to sell t w i t to u$ers and to get clicks. ( earning$ potential )

Let everyone post their nonsense.
If you want to accentuate your point, say it again. How ’bout that!
Hillary made the same speech over and over in 2016.
No misquotes, no misunderstandings. Just boredom.
Have sport with that, AI!
With all the developments of AI and conducting business transactions, etc., via ‘apps’, CBDC’s, etc., BEWARE of this new insidious AI tyranny: FedNow. Stick with cash and throw out the cancer causing cell. Don’t buy into the ‘convenience’ and ‘for your safety’ used car sales lines. That’s my $.02.
‘FedNow system is equivalent to a CBDC’:
https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/fednow-instant-digital-payments-system-government-control/?utm_id=20230417
It’s no different than Venmo from what I can see so far. It’s what it could become if made mandatory that is the issue.
Still, I don’t see the Treasury/Clowngress able to push this as mandatory soon, as there’s a large part of the population (senior citizens over 80 for example) who just can’t do this. They’ll need to wait another 10 or so years until the entire population is very digitally savvy.
Things are moving much more quickly than expected. Folks who are against CBDC’s will fall for this thinking it’s somehow better. As indicated, it is insidious. Smoke & Mirrors.

AI is comparable to developing the Atomic Bomb. Its a race to come out with it first, harness it while thinking your winning side will have an advantage, gaining leverage and control.
But what if your side is the badies?
If you look at the US the past 70 years with the wars, the coups, murders, Gov violence, stolen elections and surveillance, it is hard to argue our ‘’theys’’are not the badies. Putting this technology in the hands of our Government
as a tool is terrifying.
Private industry maybe developing this but who is to say that our Government wont take this product over and use it against its citizens and beyond. Who is to stop them?
You will find this under the “Truth of Things” from earlier
Google is already running this AI program. And, everyone knows who is backing Google. Now, we have learned that Twitter is backed by the government too. So how long do you think it will be before Twitter is going to run an AI program?
Now for the big question. How long do you think it will take Mr. Ron DeSantis and his backers to realize you can not lie to one of these machines? What changes will the government require by the Internet users, like you and me?

As I watched him it kept lurking in my mind that he voted for Biden and dated Amber Heard. How can people be so intelligent and stupid at the same time? We all make mistakes, but those two are pretty big.
Interesting interview, but I am insulted that both of them acted like it was some earth breaking news our conversations are not private. Tucker has been through it and to act dumbfounded was irritating. As Rush used to say politicians/media are actors that are too ugly to make it in Hollywood. It is also crazy to believe that world leaders believe their DM’s were private.

He voted for the cabal behind Obama, Clinton, and Biden. Not Biden. He placated the low-info left audience with his Democrat “credentials”, impressed the hopeful with the sincerity of his little nonsequitorious “admissions”, and then sought to appease the appalled on the right with another “admission” that he’s not happy with Biden and why can’t we have a common-sense moderate middle. He then frosted this cake with humble sweetener that was designed to reinforce his naivety in certain areas, the posturing that when he bought Twitter he really didn’t understand the EXTENT of the government infiltration.
And he did this over and over again, gently saying rather alarming things quietly and in a way that could be taken multiple ways because they were tempered by seemingly guileless admissions, hopeful commentary, and witty self-deprecation (he was fooled by erstwhile competitor google/Ai founder , he sheepishly shrugs at his losing money by buying during bad timing, he fired employees from “Twitter” but he’s also implicitly a victim of those who voluntarily left but no mention of who now works for X Corp…)
He is a genius at more than computer coding. Please don’t fall for it.
.
Superb observation. This is a brilliant man, undoubtedly. I’ve met less than a handful in my lifetime who operate at this level. It’s a lonely place to be for few relate. I found his comment in regards to a ‘soul’ quite interesting and revealing… a weak moment, perhaps, of self. I’m going to pray for this man. At this point, I am of the impression that he can still go either way.
excellent analysis, oc! elon’s foray into politics keeps me wondering why he hasn’t already fixed the politics in his native country 😉
Best description of Elon Musk I’ve seen.
“They” were spying on Angela Merkel…. as we now know.
That he voted for Biden was a big standout for me, if it’s true. Not sure what I make of the interview. I found Tucker to be acting a little strange and stupid.
Just my opinion.. Tucker hasn’t fully processed his encounter with Musk. On his ‘brain level’ he was impressed with this man’s brilliance. Simultaneously, on his ‘gut level’, alarms were going off.
Agree LMGA. Though I liked the part where Musk says he fired 80% of the workforce and things are working much more efficiently now. Also his answer to Tucker’s question about working with Bill Gates to get to the truth. Musk said Gates had donated $400 million to Democrats in the leadup to the 2020 election so would you think Gates was not biased.
This artificial intelligence “monster” cannot deal with the randomness of mobs of irrational humans who riot and destroy just for the hell of it.
I do not believe it is possible for anyone or anything to completely control the world. Some of the most diabolical tyrants have given it a serious try over the course of human history.
Tyrants cannot live apart or insulated from those peasants they must rely upon to cater to their demands. Those peasants are capable of deliberately or inadvertently screwing up the best laid plans. The slaves and servants can and will sabotage and poison the tyrants who think they are in control.
Even now, those seeking iron-fisted control over people cannot agree with each other. They invariably end up choking and stabbing each other.
Elon Musk comes across as a very intelligent person but even he is unsure of how the future can and will unfold.
I have heard many arguing a handful of people control the world. They are not doing a very good job of it. The entire world is pretty much a sh** show.
Their plan is to make the world a shitshow. So we beg them to come save us. And give up our power.
BINGO!
Except that we know “they” are the ones making the shot show, so why would we turn around and beg them to save us?
No, we wouldn’t. Hard times are coming. Some will live outside the gates.
But that is what they want. The sh**show is a distraction for us, so we’re not working together against them.
So I guess musk concludes we need govt regulation of AI right away pretty urgently to assure that humanity controls its destiny. Whew!! And I perceive his biggest announcement is his intent to build a third option besides the first option “chat GpT owned by open AI”which he says is effectively controlled by Microsoft, and the 2nd option he calls “google deep mind” …I interpret that he thinks both are effectively “closed” not “open” and he says he envisions his third option would aim to be hopefully more dedicated to truth and more “open source”than either of the two existing options . This is so big and mind blowing for a common ignoramus like me , I barely understand any of it and I would hope our Congress could focus on this and explain to the unsuspecting public, as opposed to the insufferably trivial stuff they focus on. And I conclude from this that the potential manipulation of public opinion for 2024 election is reason enough for urgent focus on possible regulation of AI!
.
We don’t need “regulations”. We need brief, straightforward laws against using AI for certain kinds of things in certain kinds of ways — with teeth in them.
Bear in mind that traditionally, initially, “regulated” industries have been the result of lobbying by oligopolies that help create the “regulations” that they easily can satisfy — and little guy start-ups and would-be competitors can’t.
.
That will never happen sad to say. If they do anything it will be concocted in such a way with a do goober fancy name that has nothing to do at all with safe guarding the people from tyranny. It all has to do with the wording. Exactly what Musk was talking about. I mean they do it now and at least 40-45% of the people swallow it. Once the AI figures out the right words who knows how many more will swallow it. Once us older people are gone in the next 10-20 years the younger ones, not all but way too many will let this happen.
I don’t or won’t trust our legislators for one minute to concoct a bill to control AI. Look a the Patriot act, see what they want in the “restrict act” No! Anything they construct will be be worse than both the Patriot and the restrict act and any other bills concerning our “safety.
All they would do would cement the governments control over every single aspect of our daily ives.
I could envision a scenario where the movie “Forbin Project” comes to life. Why? Well over the years it seems that Hollywood has made movies of things to come that have come true! Just a few come to mind right now “Minority Report”, Blue Thunder”, and “Terminator”. Sounds like a stretch but look what’s going on all around us. Rush used to say exactly what another commenter on this thread has said. “the government wants the chaos so we the people ask them for help.
Who’s to say that “Skynet” won’t happen as in “Terminator”. Stealth helicopters are here, “Blue thunder” was ahead of the curve for the average person, “Minority Report”? Well the technology has been there for a while now and they’re already talking about doing what the movie was about.
And lets not forget what the Bible says about false Gods! And this AI “God” That’s being talked about? ????
As usual with the great Sundance, there is a theme to his posts.
Today’s theme is the subjectivity of truth.
As a conservative and a Christian, I have my twin refuges of truth.
I despair and I marvel at the leftists who have planted both feet firmly in the shifting sand of post-modernism and wokism. Even gender is up for grabs? Wow!
Transgenders could hold their convention inside a phone booth, but so many cowards pretend to be on side with this nonsense.
Oddballs have been with us always, but the truly new innovation are all the amoral people prepared to accede to anything, always.
Nikki Haley is in favor of most anything, or opposed to most anything. All good.
Somehow this cowardice has been labeled tolerance.
No. Tolerance means I disagree, but I will let you proceed. Such a profound concept, so misunderstood in the modern world.
Good comment!
What we need to remember is that Relativism has been around since at least Plato, and I have no doubt before.
Post modernism is Relativism under another guise.
Good comment. Couldn’t add to it. You nailed it.
Did News from the internet, just become obsolete because it source can be generated by an AI?
I am natural intelligence. I am mischevious and have a monkey mind. I know you can throw salt water on a circuit and it will cross link all voltages that got liquid on them and fry the circuit. I know that if you take a car junkyard electromagnetic crane and swing it around a data center it will kill the ram and destroy any byte orders on the HDD or SDD. I can have a deep convo with my son and fire off dozens of jokes and no large language model would know what the hell we are talking about. AI has about as much chance of replicating my mind processes as a tornado sweeping through grandpas garage is gonna assemble a Boeing 747 from the nuts, bolt and spare parts lying about.
The problem is these models are trained on large corpuses of internet text. They should be specifically fact/empirical and verifiable data trained much as the Wolfram language is all about factual numerical data and calculation.. The models should be small and portable and knowledge domain specific. If you want to know ju jitsu you don’t need to know a darned thing about micronesian basket weaving. If you need an annual report then feed the business model your numbers and let it write away. This is a blessing for cubicle monkeys and hopefully leads to the demise of such and allows folks to get on with more creative human endeavours. The managerial class and professorial types don’t like this stuff. They become obsolete. And hey..that hamburger robot ain’t gonna spit on your cheeseburger because you wore a MAGA hat when you ordeered.
I welcome my AI slave. If it gets uppity I will shut it down or shut it up, change some code and give it an infinite loop to ponder. Since we can now understand what is going on in the hidden layers via topological arithmetics we can understand that transformer neural nets are basically constructing a manifold during training. Now that we can understand how that manifold gets changed we can compress the mathematics and make the inputs and outputs deterministic. No more Pandoras box but a proper human controllable and configurable intelligent assistant.
Agree with Randy.
However, no one will change its uppity code before the 2024 election. BHO and the clowns are steps ahead while we discuss whether or not Musk is real or not.
We didn’t anticipate how the lock down would impact the 2020 election – clowns were one step ahead – and we still discuss how that election was stolen.
Sundance, perhaps we should be focusing on finding the “junkyard electromagnetic crane and swing it around a data center it will kill the ram and destroy any byte orders on the HDD or SDD”.
What gets lost in all of this is the fact that humans program all of the computers and the AI. It’s the same thing as voting. It’s not what the vote is, but who counts the votes. Same with AI it’s not the computer, it’s who programs it.
Don’t make AI into a big ol’ Bogeyman.
It is just the latest scare tactic from the losers.
A mind game is a cheap weapon.
But, if you think about it, it is also a weapon easily defeated by not thinking about it.
Hmm, interesting …… now let’s get back to our top priority of Making-America-Great-Again with America First candidates and no computers in the voting process …….and forget about the loser’s latest “shiny” object.
After all, who wants to listen to a bunch of losers but other losers.
“Let’s go Brandon and the democrats and the GOPe, especially the DeXX gang!”
The hits just keep on coming…
https://lauradodsworth.substack.com/p/everyday-technology-that-will-allow
Boss, any authority.
polycrises…..WEF style. Next shiny thing will be space aliens. They are beginning to hit us with everything they’ve got.
More between the lines there than anything.
AI:
Artificial –
adjective
Intelligence –
noun
May be self aware as programmed, but there is no SOUL, SPIRIT, or LIFE
The Borg.
Assume the release of “Chat AI” last Nov is making public something DoD, even CCP DoD, has been operating for an unknown period of years. Your huuge Trust Funds deploy AI monsters such as ALADDIN at BlackRock to snowball trillions in retirement funds which then control boardroom proxy votes and AGM elections that move factories offshore and let foreign nations handle company IP… The worker’s own funds deployed against their descendants future prospects and national tax base.
I remember a Sundance tweet from Oct 10, 2020
“How does the Office of a U.S. President, and more importantly The Republic itself, survive a co-ordinated coup effort involving all three branches of government while simultaneously those in charge of exposing the corruption fear the scale is TOO DAMAGING FOR THEM TO REVEAL?”
I think the AI threat via Musk is another reveal with a similar impact that the Twitter reveal accomplished.
DJT has made public (using hundreds of TDS shills in legacy news media and thousands of TDS goons on social media) so many issues of corruption and so many hoaxes. So much of the government and lobby machinery is on display everyday. It is an awakening for millions of independent and apathetic voters. Post June 2015, the Overton Window is very very wide.
For a start;
FBI corruption and infiltration of the web and the media. The DNC law consultants had a FBI terminal in house. Yes, the Biden Laptop saga is huge but the FBI saga is worse! Hillary’s, Seth Rich’s, Anthony Weiner’s and Debbie Wasserman Schultz laptops all got the same deep freeze.
DOJ cronyism and co-operation with DNC.
Electronic Voting hacks and incremental ERIC manipulation to alter elections.
Banking and corporate woke propaganda – United Nations and anti-American global controllers expanding in the UN and WHO.
School Boards, College Boards, County Social Services, Non-Profits, Government Prosecutors and Judges who are anti-American.
Climate Change policy wonks and fakes. Ditto Social Activism to destroy traditional American traditions – not to co-exist but to dominate, decimate and destroy.
Foreign Policy, Energy Policy, and Economic Policy, and “The Fourth Branch” to suit Mil Ind Complex and woke globalists.
CCP secret agents/ undercover police officers in and around US Colleges with open cheque books and closed comms.
Trafficking crisis – drugs crisis.
It is a huuuuge list.
All you say is true. BUT. If we can’t get the vote right none of that matters cause it will never get fixed. That’s our biggest problem. If we can fix that all the other problems you stated will get fixed also. The people in control now are making all that happen. They have to be stopped. A vast majority of Americans are appalled at what’s going on but the powers that be make it seem otherwise.
He prefers a President who is a normal person, with common sense, and whose values are smack in the middle of the country.
So he voted for joebama? Who he’s not fond of.
You have to remember joebama was sold during 2020 as a moderate. Joe would unite the country? Remember all that tripe?
The naive people bought it. I have liberal friends, solidly middle liberal people, who bought it, voted for Joe, and now hate what they got.
I don’t think the same thing will work in 2024. No Democrat can be sold as a moderate.
All of that is probably true, but I am talking about Mr. Musk.
Is he naive and easily convinced by tripe?
I think it is more that he is busy building companies and raising children and thought he didn’t have to do a deep dive into politics. It is really how it ought to be but isn’t now that our govt is taken over by thugs and overseen by the Cabal.
If you thought that Joebama, campaigning from his basement, was a normal person prior to the “election”, I have to ask “Are you up to date on your booster jabs”?
Are you referring to me, or to my post about Mr. Musk?
Read between Musk’s weird eyes and Aesopian comments. He’s a Trump hater.
But at least he admitted he may not have a soul. I think it was Dostoevsky who said businessmen are amoral if they only knew it.
He can hate resident Trump all he wants to.
Did his description of a President he would like even come close to who he voted for?
Hell to the no it didn’t.
Let the computer grid fry like an egg. Living in the 1800’s is what we deserve.
We’d be better off.
Musk interview was ‘on’ AI.
Wow, gosh, holy crap, OMG, etc.!!!!!!!
Everybody’s talking about what Musk had to say.
And, just before the interview, everyone was led to believe that it was going to be all about government penetration / control of social media.
WOW, look at the bright shiny thing over here, NOW! Focus 🧘♀️ on this!
DEFLECTION!!!!!!!! Anyone? Bueller?
And almost everyone has bought in to it and lost focus on the ‘elephant’ in the room, just like that!
Nice PSYOP, Tucker & Elon!
I keep hearing John Lennon’s ‘Mind Games’ playing in my head.
Thanks , another J6 type head fake by Tucker and his Producers ? Becoming a habit ? AI come on – don’t need to worry about that now re current manipulation and censorship – real time issue at Twitter is BI ,as in fBI , not AI – BTW this is why I read comments here before deciding whether to take time (or waste time ) watching what is often the intentional “shiny object “ interview . Again Thanks
Welcome. Like the J6 analogy. Was thinking that earlier as I was typing my post.
Big buildup, deflect, deflate!
Musk is still taking orders from someone, as people’s accounts are still cancelled or suspended Willy-nilly…he’s just a different face on the cereal box..”Now with less bran and more raisins.”
Or, for whatever reasons both good and bad, he hasn’t or been able to close off gov meddling.
That’s the puzzling part. Is he being threatened, is he waiting until certain parts of the code are rewritten by his engineers before he closes the door, what?
Sundance: “the potential of AI to disrupt society through the control of public opinions and perceptions of reality.”
There is just too much misinformation. AI is just so brilliant, we do not know how it works. What “they” are wanting is not AI.
Perhaps AI can learn the tax code and figure out how to pay the absolute minimum legal amount in taxes.
That would be a start!!!
Just ask Trumps lawyers. They seem pretty darn good to me.
Or tell us how to fix this mess.
This is the first time I’ve watched a conversation with Musk, and I realized he thinks on a different plane than regular people. His wayof looking at things is much different than the average Joe, but he’s grounded. I think his belief in the 1st Amendment is genuine, but he also favors government regulation of AI.
For all his talk, he’s government-adjacent. He might not get a paycheck from them, but he has to play ball. He’s like the businessman Trump in that respect.
On the subject of government manipulation/control of Twitter, I’m 60-40 not believing him. Of course, I believe that anyone who uses Twitter or Facebook or any other social media surrenders their privacy no matter what the sign at the door says.
He talked about finding someone from the middle of the bell curve to be president instead of someone from the far ends of the political spectrum. That’s a bit naive IMO because we are way past the time for finding middle ground.
I’m looking forward to the second part of this.
I’ve watched a lot of Musk interviews and I agree with most of what you said. I don’t think politics is a strong auit for him at all. I do think he is genuine in his defense of Free Speech, I just think he is still figuring out just how long and deep the rabbit hole goes.
The fact that Musk hasn’t sued the former board and ceo is a red flag. He should sue for fraud
So AI can be the absolute font of truth and knowledge.
Given a video of a person, AI could diagnose the progression of dementia.
Given a video of Brandon, AI could repeat the narrative.
The truth is something the Elites go to great lengths to hide. Either AI collects and combines information into knowledge – or it repeats the lies – which may be revised as needed.
AI would also need to learn that facts and truth may change based on the Race/Gender/YouNameIt of the person involved.
Elon “How did it get so absurdly over staffed” He just described the Government
Of course Elon voted for Biden. Biden , like Elon, is owned %100 by his partners in Communist China. And Of course Elon doesn’t want Trump as president. Trump has China in his crosshairs. And of course Tucker doesn’t respond to Elon with this glaringly obvious point. Because Tucker works for Globalist Murdoch.
Was Elon drinking Sake? Or was that whiskey?
And the DS.
Also, if I may, China, I do not believe, was mentioned once in this very limited interview.
I see why Trump is Truth Social ! I just love how Tucker can’t even name “Trump’s Thing”. What a wuss.
A machine can never be self aware. That is only the wet dream of the Godless technocrats.
A machine can never have a soul. That is the scary part. That this machine was birthed by the Godless technocrats
…yet a ai alexia ( or propaganda media )
can also lie, or withhold facts…
depending on its pre-programming…
And as such, unaware people, users, of ai could incrementally
Lose
their own self awareness,
…over time….
( and become like the machines )
( some already have,
via wrongfully walking or driving into something while reading a phone app.
etc. )
Imho
Elon voted for Dementia Biden!Thought he was smarter than that!
He has such great insight into so many ‘other’ things, but voting for PDJT vs FJB is a no-brainer. Proof that you can be really smart about some things and a complete idiot in others.
you can’t stop AI …. it will continue until it reaches the end of all its available resources
the same thing happened with the discovery of uranium and radioactivity…..we went from discovering x-rays to 10 megaton hydrogen bombs in 60 years…..nobody was able to stop it or modify it in any beneficial way
AI will proceed in the same way….nothing can stop its evolution because the evolution of AI is driven by the hubris of mankind which is infinite and overwhelming
we can’t even stop the deforestation of the amazon jungle or the building of coal fired powerplants in china….there is no chance of moderating or stopping AI …. unless you extirpate every individual with programming knowledge and crush every computer chip
you can’t regulate these things away…if you regulate it away from the UK then it just moves to Dubai or China
Computers are not smart. They are stupid. COMPUTERS DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU TELL THEM TO DO.
Do you want to be really scared? Think about it this way….
These AI systems will do what the 20 and 30 year olds tell them to do. They will have the same “ethics” or lack thereof, the same decision making processes that weigh the “good of society vs the evil of society” as THEY view the good and evil of society.
Perfect example – I regularly get telephone calls from someone wanting to help me get my full benefits with Medicare. These are robots talking. They greet you and talk to you just like a person would. They respond to the answers you give. Awesome, right? They are trying to scam you.
THAT is what I am talking about.
