Why would InBev hire a Lit major? If this were still Anheiser Busch, they would have never hired her, since she doesn’t know or respect the brand or the community that created it. Plus, Why would they hire a glorified lit major is beyond comprehension. She isn’t even a successful lit major, either, because writers are taught to know their audience and write to that audience. She insults hers and doesn’t know who they are, much less respect them. Her characterization of the brand’s consumers as “Fratty” and with “out-of-touch humor” is dangerously tone-deaf and disqualifies her as an individual who can market the product. She seems to have somehow missed the values that created the iconic brand -something she does not have the creativity to accomplish. The modernisation of these values is all that is required- not a complete change of values. Just emphasizing the horse team would have been better. What an utter F- up at a time when I believe the Inbev contract is up for the World Cup. And don’t forget – Alissa is a hypocrite. She was all too happy to throw women’s rights under the bus by giving $75M to FIFA as a sponsor to Qa tar’s World Cup (and then suing for $47M).
They hired her because she sold herself knowing the language of equity and inclusivity.
She admitted Bud light sales were down and needed to bring in younger buyers. In a word she had to bullshit consumers into buying beer not made with hops but rice with beechwood thrown in for flavor.
Spent time in England and enjoyed every pint I drank. Returned to the states had Bud and got bloated. Haven’t had one 30 years.

I just found a New Yorker article written by her friend, Lizzie Widdicombe (Aug. 14, 2021) in which quotation marks are put aound the word “beer,” as if the highbrow can hardly bring themselves to utter the drink of the unwashed. Wow. Alissa’s friend Widdicombe even seems to find her friend’s career choice equally as baffling as the rest of us: “I have a friend, Alissa Heinerscheid, who works in marketing at Anheuser-Busch. This has always been slightly hilarious, because Alissa is one of the last people I picture when I think “beer.” ” Well, Widdicombe, that makes at least a few thousand of us. I, personally, could never stand any of AB products. Even the Ballantine 3.2 stuff at the Parris Island slop-chute back in the ‘50s was better beer.
When AB came out with Bud Lite my old DI told me that drinking the stuff was like “making love in a canoe… f&$kin’ near water.”
My wife of forty years still gets embarrassed when I ask, when in a restaurant, what beers are on draft and hear the usual AB brands and respond with “No, I asked what kind of ‘beer’ you have on tap.”

My angst is directed more at her “entry level” job: 2013-2015 Johnson and Johnson Listerine Associate brand manager, which on it surface seems benign but, is not. Associate Brand MGR for a major brand right out of college (only one summer internship)….how so? Oh, Harvard and then her grad school. That’s how….
But the gross error is that she then jumps to Anheuser-Busch Director of Value Brands not even a full two years later. College to Manager to Director in two years. Two. All because she paid 70k per year to go to school.
Not a single person from our local colleges, small and large, get that same chance. Instead it would look like this: entry level, same job….same job, then promoted to team lead, or supervisor. Stuck there for a few years, maybe five if your lucky. Then you can do the manager’s job. Some never get past this point cuz of people like Heinerscheid. If you do get the manager’s job….four, maybe five years, if your lucky you get to become Director- after 13-18 years of experience. There’s no jumping over positions.
This happens all over and in most companies.
We all work with or for people who are inept at their jobs but for some reason they are kept on the payroll. Yet, we all, also see, co-workers let go for minor violations that pale in comparison to losing 800 million in one day.
Nope, not this lady or those like her…rich parents or arbitrary traits that allow you to check a box get you into select institutions. You get to bypass all that experience and you then get to crash a brand in three days.
Don’t worry folks- she will be promoted- if not by AB, then by another company as they swipe her up.

@Ganas, reporting in with another data point: When I was handing out literature at the polls here in Maryland, in a precinct that’s roughly 50/50 black/white, it was the well-heeled, professionally dressed white women who were all in favor of redefining marriage. They were the ones who looked at my literature and told me I was old-fashioned and out of touch. (There was also one 18-year-old black girl coming to the polls for the first time with her grandparents. She told me, “Oh, that’s a Civil Rights issue. I’m voting for it.” To which her grandparents said, “Oh, no, honey! Believe us, we know what Civil Rights means. This is just immoral!”) I should mention that 29 out of 30 precincts in my district voted NO on the referendum to redefine marriage. This was 2012, by the way.

I have to state reality and the fact is women’s brains are simply different than men’s. Women have always had to implement different functionalities than men and their brains evolved differently as a result of performing different strategies toward those different functionalities.

If you want to pull out of this death spiral there are several things that will work.
One, make everyone work. I would guess it’s why many ancient civilizations had those massive projects of manual labor.
Two, Gods word as the manual for our lives taught from the earliest age, no exceptions.
People have no discipline to focus anymore, work solves that, especially manual labor.
Gods word teaches us how to think, how to focus, what is important, all the necessary issues we have forgotten. Problems would become apparent and we would address them, not make more problems.
Over time life would even out again.
Most think we need leaders. We need focus. What are our problems? First one is our leaders. We never address the problems because we work for these globalists not ourselves.
I would imagine if people ever knew Gods word, within days our government would be reduced. It’s there to serve those in government not us.
Id like to address this issue of male female.
There are many accounts we can be a male or female in our choices to live in our bodies before birth. As a spiritual being it isn’t important because either one is for selfless reasons. Take all the selfishness out of gender and see what’s left. A man is burdened with provisions and safety, woman children and caring for family. Sex is only in a marriage and it’s safety. Take away any one of those directives you end up with what we have now.
Its why God hates divorce, it leads to all kinds of sin. I would even go as far as to say, it leads to the confusion of gender. “What is my role”.
It can all be summed up in one word…idiocracy. Amazingly enough, the movie is about as believable as real life in 21st century America.
