All I was saying regarding this particular situation would be best to reserve our temperament and hold fire. I agreed with Donna (below) that RDS has done some fantastic things for the state of Florida even if its just a morale boost. Critical thinking should not stop at Pres Trump. I have no complaints about his governorship. The inflation here is most likely due to the number of refugees that flooded this place. Before you give him too much credit let’s see what happens on the insurance front. And I too have lived in fl. for 25 years. Just got a notice from citizens that in order to stay insured by them you are required to get a flood policy by 2024 if you are in a flood zone.. If not in a flood zone then by 2026. Have had wind , flood and homeowners for 25 years. What concerns me is how much will they increase in the next year or 2. And yes, was grateful that down in sw fl. ,you could get away with no masks in most places. Pray and help others.
Hey Marc….both me and my parents had to deal with that wind thing too. Its sounds like bullshit but there is this inspection you can ask your insurance company about (for WIND). The cost will be about $100 so if they quote you much more than that its the wrong inspection. My parents literally went up 100% per year. Got that inspection and back down to the original amount. Same with me, but mine was to make sure my roof had been replaced since 2000. I’m in CFL so it might have something to do with that. I was able to get the flood ins cancelled when I first moved in several years ago. Like I said, probably depends on your location.

The big question that this raises now is will Trump fight extradition to New York? DeSantis has said that Florida will not assist New York State. If Trump choses he could fight this extradition since it appears he will have his own state of Florida on his side!
Trumps civil lawyer was on with Tucker and she was of the opinion that Trump should surrender in New York. I think this is very bad advice (I think Trump hired her for her looks – she is drop dead gorgeous). I think people want to see Trump fight the extradition to New York and the eventual humiliation ritual.
Politically of course fighting extradition with the help of DeSantis will elevate DeSantis among voters so maybe it is better that Trump surrenders.
It’s a trap.
Meatball will not back Trump up, will back off his “strong words,” and leave Trump exposed and looking cowardly for hiding in Florida.
It would also force Trump to remain in Florida to avoid extradition directly from a Rally in another state.
Trump should call on governors of other states to proclaim that they will not assist an extradition. All of the republican governors at least should be able to make that pledge.

It doesn’t matter what RDS says. He has no power. If President Trump refuses to go or fails to surrender, then NYPD can request a UFAP (unlawful flight to avoid prosecution) from the FBI. The FBI would then arrest President Trump wherever under that federal UFAP and deliver him to NY. Once in NYPD custody the US Attorney would drop the UFAP and there you have it. I would not be surprised if this isn’t already in the works should President Trump not self-surrender.
