We should no longer be disillusioned about DeSantis. He is simply yet another RINO Republican who did some good as governor to project a positive image but has aligned with the Bush McCain Romney Cheney Rove “Squish” Big Money wing of the GOP Establishment.
We have enough history in our rear view mirror to recognize the pattern – they all seem great at first to the untrained eye, but then they gradually but steadily reveal their big corporate-globalist-country club leanings while talking tough but then dancing around or ignoring real conservative issues that impact everyday Americans.
There’s also another important factor I’ve noticed of late. Let’s call it the ‘married with children’ factor. Wherever you see this very natural wonderful and beautiful scenario in a politician, you also see an extra dollop of greediness because life is, in fact, growing more expensive, and after a few years of life in DC, where the majority of friends and acquaintances are–let’s just say–flush with money, you begin to view that as the norm. Before you know it, you begin feeling that your checking account is chronically about a 100K lighter than you’d like it, and then, ultimately, you overcome your natural moral inhibitions because now you see that literally everybody you know (wife has pointed out!), has a yacht and a condo on the Riviera. At that point (after seeing the bills pile up after paying off the fancy clothing bills just to attend all the obligatory gatherings (can’t wear the same thing twice!), you start accepting Karl Rove’s invitations–and then you’re sitting pretty with guys, and the wife and kids think you’re the greatest. Then the John Thune’s of the world start feeling proud of themselves and their high calling when in quiet reflection they admit to themselves that really the most dangerous thing to a democracy was– all the time– just extremist idealism like MAGA!

I think we should require our Congress reps (both chambers) to live together in average government multi-family housing while in DC. No exceptions, not even the reps from MD, VA, or WV. It can have underground parking and be secure from access by the unwashed masses but should not provide luxuries beyond what anyone grossing $175K / year could afford in the DC area.
Maybe if they had to live in such minimalist housing- just above barracks level – they’d be less interested in hanging around for decades.

Emotions get you KILLED in such situations.
COLD anger means just THAT; it’s NOT that you don’t feel anger, it’s that you DO NOT allow your anger or any emotion, to dictate your words or actions, or beliefs/views for that matter.
Look at how many of us, who rightly cheered what Lindsey said at the end of Kavanaugh, wrongly transferred their EMOTIONAL FEELING about Lindsey’s WORDS, to Lindsey him/her self.
THATS what allowing emotions to “color” your judgement does.
It sets you up to get “played” time and time again, and it’s up to YOU to stop it.
Actually it’s the same strategy as the Democrats, just more subtle. The Democrats claim they support the blacks in America and now all people of color, but after elected, they don’t support any legislation that will actually help the blacks and lower income people that are stuck in their world.
Same for their position on the rich, taxes, environment. They run like they care and after elected it’s all BS.

A South Dakota company by the name of BPro “gifted” their TotalVote software to New Mexico, in exchange for a series of what would turn out to be very lucrative, sole-source contracts to develop a customized interface between the SOS, clerks, and TotalVote that they called “IRIS.” IRIS was renamed “SERVIS” (Statewide Elections, Registration and Voting Integrity System) in 2017.
According to the BPro website, TotalVote is a “centralized voter registration and election management system that securely captures and manages voter, candidate, and all election information. It is the only software system that encompasses the entire election process into one system.” (emphasis added).
TotalVote has no Election Assistance Commission (EAC) certifications whatsoever. Meaning it does not comply with the Help America Vote Act and it has never been tested by any accredited third party. However, as previously established, it is certainly touching parts of the election that require certification.

If these systems truly need to exist to manage complexity (and that’s debatable), then, as has been suggested many times, they need to be Open Source and monitored and audited by external parties (plural) that have a TRUE interest in election integrity and transparency. You can’t trust ANYBODY… the vendors, the election outsourced Election Operators, the SoS’s, the State and Local Governments, The Feds, etc. etc.
You know, treat the U.S. like a bunch of babies, and keep a close eye on elections like a Third World Hell Hole.

A long time ago, a very Catholic hospital and institution of higher learning–you know, med schools etc, was doing “uterine reduction” surgeries on multiple birth pregnancies from their infertility program. They would select the fetuses they wanted to survive and basically remove the others. I can’t recall if the parents had a say in how many were allowed to live…
Your typical surgical consent includes a statement that the body tissues removed (in any surgery) are given to the hospital…I forget the terminology, but you get where i am going with this.
Don’t know the selection process was made or what happened to the babies once removed but this was before the year 2000.

You’re comparing apples and oranges.
First of all, what Bolsonaro’s supporters did is not at all what I’ve suggested. They didn’t have the message I’ve suggested. In fact the protests in Brazil occurred AFTER the other side had *won* the election … according to the vote. Maybe they cheated, but it was too late to do anything other than riot. I’m talking about forcing changes to the election system iwell before that happens so that the communists can’t claim an election win.
Second, what Bolsonaro’s supporters did was senseless … attacking the Congress, the Supreme Court, the Presidential Palace BUILDINGS. I’m not suggesting anything of the sort. If we eventually have to use force, we go after the people who cheated, not the artwork and government buildings. The fact that happened just shows there was no clear message … other than *maybe* a desire to unseat the guy who *won*. But no means of doing it. Like J6, if that was an insurrection, it was really poor one. Now we may come to that in this country, if people like you let the democRATS cheat in 2024… assuming the rest of us don’t want to live a 1984 existence … but I’m not advocating that now. Not at all. I’m trying to avoid such country destroying violence but just ensuring a fair election. If they can beat us fair and square in an honest election, then how can I complain?
Third, the Brazilian Constitution has nothing like the Second Amendment. Here in the US, it is a Constitutional RIGHT … in fact, a much stronger right than the UNIPARTY will admit. In Brazil, an Executive Order in 2004 allowed the Federal Police to confiscate any firearms which are not possessed for a valid reason … and self-defense was not considered a valid argument. Few if any of the demonstrators carried guns. That is not what I’m recommending happen here. I think we need to exercise by our 1st and 2nd Amendment RIGHTS.

How massive? Millions (like I suggest)? No. Hundreds of thousands? No. In fact, just a few thousand people (maybe 10000 in total) made up your massive demonstrations around and in all the government buildings … much smaller crowds than on J6 . And for arms they mostly had stick and stones, knives and machetes. About 200 of them took off their cloths as their weapon. So when they broke into the government buildings, the riot police and the Brazilian military had little difficulty breaking the demonstrations up and arresting the participants. That’s not at all what would happen if conservatives did what I have suggested. The police and military wouldn’t know what to do with crowds the size I suggest, armed as I suggest.

Can you prove that? I heard the military helped oversee the election and said there was no signs of fraud. So if there were any military on the side of the protestors, they didn’t make it very well known. Did any of the military you claim were on the side of the protestors get arrested … or bring guns to the fight? Yes, as protestors marched, the military police escorted them … sort of like the Capital Police escorted the J6 protestors inside the Capital Building. I hear is that one of the big protests took place at a military installation and that the protestors called for a military coup … which didn’t happen. That doesn’t sound like the military was on the side of the protestors.

This was, from the beginning, a very clumsy “false flag attempt.” They were hoping for a “huge protest,” and they even hired a local actor to emulate someone else. But the bottom line is that the majority of the actual American People did not take the bait. And so it was a nothingburger.
Bragg certainly did not address any of the legitimate issues raised by his superior in the US Congress, and I am sure that Jordan will not accept this response. Nor should he.
It obviously does not matter at all if someone “publicly stated the expectation that he might be arrested” for some offense promulgated by your office. The only thing that matters is the legitimacy (or, lack thereof) of your “cause for arrest.” Which, oh by the way, is nonexistent.

But the very simple fact of the matter is that (at least) Maricopa County utterly and knowingly defied these requirements.
The Trial Court mumbled something about “laches,” but it is perfectly obvious that this was always nonsense.
The contestant does not have to “explain how it happened.” Does not have to find “intent.” (It could even be “a genuine mistake.”) Only to demonstrate doubt. And this she most-certainly has done. These election “results” cannot be allowed to stand.
Arizona law and precedent very-simply states that Arizona voters are entitled to believe beyond reasonable doubt that the published results are correct. If they are not, the Court can either “declare the winner” (as they once did), or “order a supervised runoff.” In this situation, I consider “a runoff” to be the only viable choice. “Do it over,” and this time do it very carefully – with a brand-new set of officials involved.

Kari Lake is trying to celebrate the fact that the Arizona Supreme Court sent one of six challenges she made to the 2022 election back to the lower court with an order to reconsider it. Let me be perfectly clear: The AZ Supreme Court is very obviously doing this as a stall tactic. It has rejected the other five challenges, which were all equally strong and valid. The only reason its using the sixth challenge as a stall tactic is because the lower court obviously erred in ruling that Kari Lake had no right to question the signature verification process after the fact. In fact, Lake was not questioning the process; she was arguing that election officials did not follow the process as written in law. Once the lower court acknowledges that Lake has the right to challenge the signatures on that basis, it will be free to claim, as it did on the other five issues, that it’s irrelevant because Lake cannot prove it affected the outcome of the election. Then it will go back to the AZ Supremes and they will say, okay, now we’re all good here. This will all take another three months. Mission accomplished.

And, instead of ruling, this remand will take… HOW long?… to go through discovery and wrangling again and have a new trial… when. And at what expense. And even were she to win… then what… appeals again. Months? Years? At which point there is no viable remedy. And since the case is fact-intensive and based… the outcome will be (at best?) shame, shame, follow the law next time (while all the other cheating goes utterly unpunished and unaddressed.)
I get that there’s so little good news that some conservative media and others are grasping at anything that might seem a bit uplifting. Not clapworthy. But this is distressing. An honest court following precedent would have overturned the election.
