Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is playing the running-not-running game as hard as he can, given the Florida ‘resign to run‘ law he is intentionally breaking. Thus, the severity of the self-centered egoism from the man who calls himself the “savior Top Gov of America,” starts to take on context.
According to the DeSantis media operation known as “Florida’s Voice“, the sanctimonious meatball has already scheduled campaign appearances in New Hampshire, Michigan, Ohio and Maryland for April [SEE HERE]. Then, following the instructions of the brand management team in control of him, Ron DeSantis sat down with Rupert Murdoch’s toady, Piers Morgan, for an exclusive interview in both Rupert Murdoch’s publication, The New York Post, and Rupert Murdoch’s broadcast company, Fox News.
Murdoch, who owns Fox News, had previously given Ron DeSantis several million dollars for his personal wealth via a Harper Collins book deal, another Rupert Murdoch company. With full control over the brand image of the DeSantis effort, Fox News has been promoting the meatball for several months.
Timed to coincide with the Trump indictment, DeSantis sits down with Piers Morgan:
(New York Post) – Ron DeSantis knows everyone is waiting for him to say if he’s running for president. But in our interview, airing on Fox Nation’s “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on Thursday, he made it very clear that if he does, he can win.
“If I were to run,” he said confidently, “I’m running against Biden. Like we [him and Trump] are competing for the Republican, potentially, I get that, but ultimately you know the guy I’m gonna focus on is Biden because I think he’s failed the country. I think the country wants a change. I think they want a fresh start and a new direction and so we’ll be very vocal about that.”
“Do you think you could beat Biden?” “I think so,” he replied, unhesitatingly, and emphatically.
“I won with independents by 18 points,” he said, “and so that will be the same formula that we would take, and honestly forget about me, I think anybody should take the formula like that nationally. You can’t win with just Republicans. You’ve gotta win with independents and you need to convince some of these Democrats, which I was able to do in Florida, because they’re not woke, they don’t like some of the nonsense going on. They want their streets safe, and they want quality education. So I think you could appeal to people across the canvas.”
[…] “I haven’t made a final decision on it. I’ve told people that I’ve got a lot to do over the next few months in Florida. We’re gonna put a lot of points on the board. And then we’ll see how the dust settles after that, but I can tell you a lot of people realize the country is not going in the right direction and believe that what we’ve been able to do in Florida, if we can apply that nationally, we can get America back on track and back on our foundations.
[…] “And so, I take that very seriously, it’s humbling that people have come to me and asked me to do it or urged me to do it. So, stay tuned.”
“That sounds like almost a yes . . .”
“It’s a stay tuned!”
Why wouldn’t he go for it?
“Well because I’ve got a young family. I’ve got different obligations and it’s not the easiest thing in the world to go through and I also want to make sure that I have a very clear rationale for doing what I’m doing. All I’m interested in doing is getting things done and accomplishing things. I don’t need a title. I don’t need fanfare. I just want to know that if I put my mind to this, if we ever did that, and we’re successful, what could I do to make a difference and that’s what I have to have.” (read more)
I was always hesitant to say the Florida Governor himself knew about the Mar-a-Lago raid in advance. However, as time provides more hindsight and datapoints to review, this entire DeSantis operation reeks of coordination with the deepest elements of the DC Deep State.
What is hilarious is the title of the book, “The Courage to be Free”. It is in stark contrast to who DeSantis is.
He has little courage and he’s not free to be forthright.
It’s all scripted and managed and he looks like an absolute arse.
Courage doesn’t take 72 hours to formulate replies. What a putz.
He doesn’t get that the people crave a leader. They don’t like the snarky BS he’s trying to sell. He could have closed the gap on DJT by showing leadership and that he values the rule of law. Instead, he widened the gap he’s trailing and exposed exactly how compromised and scripted he is.
I was cautiously optimistic for him in 2028. Not now, he’s shown himself to be the FL version of Paul Ryan.
Totally agree, the scripts fail him. He can’t pull them off and maintain authenticity. His snark is offensive to all.
He still has the potential to lead and to shine, but he has to give up the snark, nobody needs that.
An even better strategy would be to support Trump, maybe be his veep, and lead the party in 2028. Got too greedy with nothing to back it up.
Republicans are in a tough spot, while it is true that every Trump supporter will vote for DeSantis should he win the nomination, the same can’t be said for every DeSantis supporter if Trump is the nominee. Unless Trump is able to pick up enough I’s and other’s votes to compensate for the lost DeSantis votes, it is a net benefit to nominate DeSantis. If we had a legit voting system. Unfortunately, the D’s are going to win the same way they did in 2020 because nothing was fixed. But don’t fool yourself, whichever one is the nominee, they will be destroyed by the same Leftist machine that terrorized Trump. And if somehow one of them should win the presidency, the D Party and many in the R party won’t work with either one of them, while at the same time in the streets, Leftists will burn this country to the ground.
Bottom line, I think DeSantis could be a great potus, however, I know Trump would be, because he already was.
You are quite presumptuous to think that every Trump supporter will vote for DeSanctimonious should he somehow become the nominee to run against the dimocRATs. The difference between them would be negligible.
Perhaps it would have been better or more accurate to say, “most, if not all” instead of saying “every”.
Still inaccurate, most will not support a candidate that is not MAGA.
This is a brave new world….why vote for the same people who believe in putting the international community before Americans?
Then what will you do? Not vote? Vote for another candidate that doesn’t stand a chance?
Some people say they won’t vote for the lessor of two evils, are you in that camp?
Yes and yes!
Just vote for MAGA candidates on the down ballot and either write in Trump’s name or skip the POTUS part altogether. That’s what I’m gonna do if they somehow keep Trump off the ballot. And, if that happens, it will most certainly be because we got cheated again. There is no way in hell any other Republican is gonna beat him in a free and fair election.
I asked him 3 questions not 2. So what are your yes’s?
Yup! I’m DONE holding my nose while voting!
So, if it is not Trump you won’t vote? Or are you a secret Biden voter?
Write-in.
So, you throw your vote away to help the D’s?
Enough give Biden a second term?
Polling shows the opposite.
Strange how proDeSantis always get facts wrong, almost like it’s deliberate.
Trump voters who’ve paid attention don’t see DeSantis as even a RINO… he’s a plant. He’s not just another jeb! or paul ryan. He’s their weapon to crush MAGA and Trump.
That’s why people who realize this are working hard to alert the public … before more damage and division happens
How on earth do you get Pro DeSantis from what I wrote?
I will not be voting for DeSantis if he wins the nomination, and I am a Trump supporter, so I can say with certainty, that you are wrong. DeSantis is akin to voting for Jeb! I have promised myself I am not voting for the establishment Republican or democrat candidate ever again. But that is just me. I do know many of my posse feel similarly.
You realize one less vote for the R gives that advantage to the D right.
One, I think you overestimate the number of DeSantis supporters. Most of his support is from Floridians and even many of them support Trump over him. Don’t you remember the FOX News video recently interviewing Floridians in a coffee shop? The majority of people in there supported Trump before Ron. Small sample but it’s telling being that this was in Florida.
Don’t forget that Trump represents a movement in this country. MAGA is a spin off of the old Tea Party but it has gotten bigger and the support(Populist or not) is defined as being America First and it is in direct competition to the RINO globalist aligned world crowd.
Ron DeSantis is a part of this crowd, and his past voting record in Congress, and his recent donations from this globalist corporate world demonstrates that RON is NOT MAGA.
I personally will not support DeSantis and I think I am one of many.
Why would Floridians choose to lose a good gov?
getting a nasty neverTrump lt gov?
Hard-core DeSantis is NeverTrump2016 + old Cruz Crew + a bunch of paid shills and anyone they can draw in
And then they migrate back to Trump anyway when he wins the nomination to stay relevant.
Palm Beach County Republican activists, the committee people and “worker bees” are 100% Trump. DeSantis needs Florida to win the national nomination but Florida is Trump’s base.
We will not abandon the man who ignited, inspired and energized the MAGA/America First Movement.
Trump excited and motivated millions of voters, including eleven million more voters in 2020 than 2016.
Trump is a winner.
Ron DeSantis is Neo-MAGA; Donald Trump ignited and inspired and energized and now leads the MAGA/America First Movement.
Look at DeSantis’ record before 2018….he voted with Speaker Paul Ryan and Club for Growth Free Trade Globalist including the Club for Growth Koch Brothers Libertarian Trans Pacific Partnership, lockstep.
DeSantis was NOT MAGA/America First until Trump won Florida in 2016 in both the primary and the general elections.
Then Ron DeSantis adopted the Trump MAGA/America First Agenda and Trump endorsed DeSantis in the primary against the very popular and powerful Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam.
Fueled by Trump, Ron DeSantis easily beats Adam Putnam in GOP race for Florida governor
Putnam, long the presumed favorite, spent an eye-popping $37 million in the primary, more than twice what DeSantis did.
ORLANDO — More than 1.5 million Republicans turned out for Tuesday’s Florida primary, but just one person clinched the GOP gubernatorial nomination for U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis over Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam.
The moment President Donald Trump tweeted in late June that DeSantis “will be a Great Governor & has my full Endorsement!” the northeast Florida congressman overtook Putnam, long viewed as among the brightest lights in the Florida GOP.
“Thank you, Mr. President,” DeSantis, 39, said Tuesday night in Orlando, with unofficial results showing him with 56 percent of the vote to Putnam’s nearly 37 percent.
The result was remarkable, both as a testament to the influence and popularity of Trump among Florida Republicans and for the deflation of a longtime Republican star widely presumed headed for the Governor’s Mansion since his days in Bartow High School.

That coffee shop in Florida is in Ponte Vedra Beach, where DeSantis lived for many years. He’s well known.
So, you are saying if it isn’t Trump then you are ok with the D candidate having a 1 vote advantage because you won’t for the R.
If you won’t vote for the lessor of two evils [R], I hope you realize you are giving that much more power to the greater evil [D].
I think you have misunderstood my post [as have many others] I in no way saying anything about the support DeSantis has.
I agree with your 2nd paragraph.
Your 3rd paragraph has no bearing on what I was saying.
Your end point needs a little clarification. Are you saying in the primary or if God forbid, he is the nominee?
How does your guy turn this around? He’s actually losing support quickly.
I doubt that fangirl interviews with Piers Morgan will do it.
Did you just read the first two sentences of my post? How do you get DeSantis as being my guy?
Peoples pundit has already been tracking those numbers, and you have it totally backwards –
I voted for DeSantis for governor. I will vote for Trump for POTUS even if he is running from prison (quite the Democrat dilemma that would be).
That would be throwing a vote away but go ahead if you think that is a good idea. I am shocked by the responses I have received to my post.
What makes you think “every Trump supporter will vote for DeSwampis?” I’m a Floridian who voted for DeSwampis twice – fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. This little RINO turd will NOT fool me a third time! He campaigned on being governor of Florida when he knew all along he intended on running for president and was just using us as a stepping stone on his way to DC. If you actually think I’ll vote for him as president, you must be delusional.
If, by some stroke of cosmic bad luck, Meatball winds up stealing his way to the nomination, I will write in Donald J. Trump in 2024 – John Hancock style!
I thought Trump supporters were logical I can see from the responses I have got, that that isn’t so.
This Trump supporter is not about to vote for DeSantis or any other non MAGA candidate. The GOP has stabbed me in the back too many times for them to deserve my loyalty. If we can’t get Trump back, it won’t matter anyway because all the rest of these GOP scum bags will just side with the damn Democrats on all the big issues anyway.
If Biden has not proven you wrong about it not mattering, I am shocked by the responses I have received to what I feel is the only logical thing to do.

I surely won’t be supporting DeSantis in ’24. In fact, I may NEVER support him EVER again. If he had any common sense, he’d gracefully declare that as long as DJT is in the race, that he has EARNED his place as the Republican leader. The fact that Ron hasn’t done that and, in fact, has gone the other way, criticizing Trump and abandoning Florida to pursuit his own, selfish ambitions (when he’s got decades left) makes me sick. He’s behaving a lot like any other snot-nosed establishment shill and is proving himself to be nothing more than another Paid Ryan, a slick, RINO/Swamp loyalist. (aka Swamprat)
The endorsement of DeSantis by Jeb! Bush was a striking development, which will haunt DeSantis in the 2024 campaign.
Most Trump supporters have nothing but contempt for Jeb! and the whole phony, Neocon, globalist, and corrupt Bush family.
I wonder who the ‘donor class’ that’s backing Desantis in all this is going to anoint to be the replacement governor for Florida? I mean that if Desantis is suppose to be the ‘great one’ with the Courage to be Free as far as the ideal Governor, then who could possibly replace him?
That would be an interesting question to pose to Desantis and his backers, now wouldn’t it!?!
DeSantis bails on his job as Gov, and Florida turns Blue because of all the transplants. That wouldn’t be good. He needs to stay where he is to keep Florida Red.
The name calling of De Santis is childish, on substance what wins has the vaccine salesman Trump delivered on? OK he succeeded in electing mitch mc Connell by endorsing him …. On the other hand despite Trump having abandoned the country to the Marxists, De Santis delivered safety prosperity and security from the leftard policies .
Put that in yer pipe and smoke it 🙂
in my mind, DeSantis did a “good job” because the big boys told him to do so.
Already had their hooks in him. Took a consensus of what the average Joe would like
to see their leadership do, then DeSantis followed it down the line.
The big boys ( and their media toadys) naturally villified DeSantis. Just because.
So, he got marching orders to play the “people’s candidate. The man of courage and
convictions” . And, received by Republican standards about 30% blow back, condemnation.
The product put before us is ( in their minds) Trump. But without all of the villification
that they’ve created.
If DeSantis gets elected, it will undoubtedly be betrayal to the people that have trusted him.
If you want an example of to what degree: think “Paul Ryan”.
Well put. Even early on I thought DeSantis got a pretty light amount of media hate. Now? Almost none. It’s mostly defense or puff pieces
Also no one stops him …
I noticed that with the university DEI stuff.
College board? Didn’t FIGHT? That’s a first. Really made me think…
Some of it’s just fake, like Disney. I’m not sure what %–because media don’t report on any of it
DeJeb goes after the low-hanging fruit. The no-brainer stuff.
You say all this like we haven’t seen it 1000 times by the massive number of “influencers” and bots.
You all deny fraud, which is jaw-dropping, except that you have to do so to claim Ron is a WINNER
You jump from Biden winning 81 million totally real votes to “why didn’t he fire fauci” to “but muh trump lockdowns” to “look at my score card trump lost the midterms”
Strangely enough, DeSantis overlaps w/Democrats
As of now, with a truly honest election system, RDS will not win.
He’s not a MAGA candidate, though he does play one on teevee…
if DeSanctimonius stab Florida voters will he even win the State?
Sundance, add a DeSanctimonious appearance at Hillsdale College on April 6th. I received the invite in the mail. It’s already in my paper recycling pile.
As Florida law currently stands, Gov. DeSantis cannot run for President unless he resigns as governor of Florida. Then what? However, there is pending legislation that his allies in the Legislature have introduced to allow him to remain as Governor of Florida while running a national 24/7 50 state campaign for President.
In 2022 millions of Republicans and other voters re-elected for Governor DeSantis for a four year term. He now plans to abandon and betray those who campaigned for him and voted for him in good faith believing he would serve four more years.
We will not see who is REAL MAGA and who is FAKE MAGA.
All I can say is if Trump is not the nominee, I’m staying home on election day. Probably a waste of time to vote even if Trump is the nominee, but at least I’m hopeful.
I’ll write Trump’s name in rather than not vote.
Did that with Ron Paul, will do it again. GOPe can deal with that.
NEWSMAX couldn’t hardly contain themselves today when they talked about how he has taken off the gloves and
went after PT he and them should be ashamed MUST be nice that people listen while this scum bag hits below the belt
PRESIDENT TRUMP SAYS THAT its desperation. I am proud of president trump and he is the only one who gets my vote
Gloves are off for PDJT now – Meatball doesn’t stand a chance.
It is clear that the best deicision for him would be to run out his time as governor, and then go after the presidency. However, it appears that he is being led by rino establishment traitors. Trump was the last American president. The USA is FUBAR. God is The only One who can sort this mess out. Too many traitors for many different reasons, but they’re all traitors, just the same.
Problem is – he already took the loot.
If Jeb De$anta$ tries to take on Trump this election cycle he will NEVER win a national election.
Please see Cruz, Jeb and Marco
Reminder – Meatball is not even a shoe-in in his own state. Lots of strong PDJT supporters in Florida.
I’m one of them! Trump all the way.
Am I the only one who sees the never-DeSantis people sound like the never-Trump people??? They would rather cut off their nose to spite their face. They would rather see the democrat win than any other republican than Trump. It is sad, I thought Trump voters were more logical than that.
you’re talking as if RDS is the only candidate. Logical?
I posted that comment because of the other comments I received to an earlier comment.
