Hunter was paid by the wife of a former Moscow mayor $3.5 million in February 2014 for “consultancy” fees & subsequently in 2015 in some sort of “loan arrangements.” I don’t recall right now if FJB participated in the Uranium One deal in which Russia got 20% of the U.S.’s uranium holdings in the U.S. in 2010 & the Clinton Foundation made $48 million.
It looks like Hunter started negotiations with China in 2009 or 2010, but maybe as early as 2008. Ovomit went to China in 2009. FJB went to China on Air Force 2 in 2010, accompanied by Hunter where he introduced his father to a Chinese businessman he was negotiating with & later landed a $1.5 billion deal that other U.S. businesses couldn’t get. So I’d say Ovomit made FJB his point man on China sometime in that 2009-2010 time frame.

If you have a deal to build something, like a hotel, there is provable value in exchange for money. A building is worth something; a Trump-brand hotel is worth a definable amount over time.
