If I understand correctly, what “triggered” the collapse, was a bunch of hedge fund type depositors, all withdrawing their $ at once.
THIS will cause ANY bank to “collapse” as banks invest their holdings, they don’t keep all of the $, in cash in their vault.
So, the very depositors that had deposits in excess of the FDIC insured limit of $250,000, withdrew their $, triggering the “collapse” and are now supposedly pressuring the govt to “cover their losses”?
This really DOES look like a “set up”, manufactured crises, maybe “just the beginning” as a way to try to ‘shoehorn’ Govt digital currencies.
THEY are playing a very dangerous game. The common myth (in my view) is that most of ‘us’ obey the law, because it’s the right thing to do.
I think most of us obey the law A) so long as we think, despite all it’s flaws, that it is being administered without fear or favor, and B) we obey the law, because we have “skin in the game”;
That is, we frankly percieve that we have more to lose, than to gain by ignoring the law.
Square “you will own nothing, and be happy” with “the most powerful, wealthy man in the world, is no match for the man that knows HE HAS NOTHING TO LOSE.”
In the end, “High tech” does nothing to change this basic reality, nor to negate “Abe’s theorem” about fooling people.

Audit probably told them hire more diversity for the win
As a CPA I lost faith in the leaders / controllers of the profession when “they” changed the rules to no longer require Lower of Cost or Market for the banks’ bad real estate loans in the real estate mess of 2005 etc. Because the banks were Too Big to Fail, FASB / SEC did not require them to write down the bad loans to market. But LCM still applied to everything else.
So just realize your run of the mill CPA is still diligently maintaining his / her eithics, but those at the top are questionable or part of the sewer.
The auditing profession is no different than the rest of Wall Street Globo/Homo.
Depends what they were auditing.
It may be different in US, however in Canada, an “audit” engagement done by a firm like KPMG is a test of the control systems in place and a risk management tool for reporting purposes and provides an opinion (on accuracy) of the management prepared financial statements; it does not actually determine investment risk or worthiness.
Perhaps we need to start requesting detailed bank financial statements to review before we trust a bank with the safekeeping of our hard earned money to use as the banks own investment vehicle in turn for us to consider it “safely” stowed…

About 10 months ago, my long time internet service, WAVE, became ASTOUND here in Oregon.
I received a woke garbage notification (out of their CA offices) assuring me that it was their one and only desire to leave me ASTOUNDED with every service they provided. They went on and on, in print, about how they wanted to astound me. Too much. Just way too much.
So I circled the hysterical “we want to astound you!”)summary statement with a black felt tip pen and wrote across the face of the notice, “Good grief…just do your job.” and mailed it back.
About six weeks ago, I cancelled the WAVE/Astound, service which cost $73/month, and signed up with Verizon, which costs $25/month. Less than two weeks after I cancelled, I started getting marketing materials from them about how badly they want me back. They are ready to prove to me that they are the very best service available….for $25/month. I continue to receive similar materials about once a week.
Correlation and/or causation? We can only hope.

Side issue: when I turned the modem, etc in at the local WAVE office, the desk gal asked (a bit huffily) do you have a new provider. Why, yes, I do.
Did someone come to your house to install the new equipment? Why, no. It was a self-install unit from Verizon and is perched very nicely on the top shelf of my computer desk. My daughter-in-law took care of it for me.
Oh. Well then you don’t have a new provider. (That was the actual end of the conversation!) Hm. Funny thing, to this very moment I have perfectly performing internet service from the self-installed unit perched on the top shelf of my computer desk.
Well, that is interesting. Our Grande internet, landline etc became Astound last year. Haven’t seen a difference yet, but will be on the lookout. I hated the name—-don’t astound me, do as Sharon says and Do Your Job!
There was no change in charges or service when “Astound” took over. I just got tired of paying $73 a month when I could get the same service elsewhere for $25.

But if you changed services, they suddenly wanted you back real bad. Willing to give you their best deal. Even willing to pay you to change back.
Recently I found my bank does the same. They were advertising rates on CDs. When I went to transfer from my account to buy a CD, they told me the rates only applied to “new money”. So I took my old body and withdrew my “old money” from my old accounts. New paradigms folks.
Indeed, here in Canada my bank had the same offer. Unreal, how they are one and the same everywhere. The best is to take, as you said oldschool, your old money and keep it where it is safe, not in a slimy bank. Both hubby and I like to deal with cash only, if the opportunity provides it.
We do the same.

The key aspect which will doom the Ukranians, along with USA/EU/NATO, is: industrial production, or rather the utter lack thereof. If a Russian military commander asks for 40,000 artillery shells per day, along with the tanks and weapons needed to use them, he can get them delivered consistently. And they won’t cross “enemy territory” to get there.
USA/EU/NATO has to send their wunderwaffen a distance roughly equal to the distance between El Paso and Houston by train, over enemy territory and under skies that it cannot control. Turns out that a billion-dollar Patriot missile system burns up just as readily as anything else does. Drop a single precision munition on top of that train or ammo dump and watch the fireworks. 🎆 🔥
When NATO tried to construct “the mother of all proxy armies” and then send it against the Russians “to the last dead Ukranian,” they totally miscalculated with regards to almost everything. Turns out they had no experience nor memory of “fighting a conventional war against a first-class industrial power on its own home turf.”
USA/EU haven’t done such a thing in eighty years, and when they did Russia was probably their most important and potent ally. The one who paid by far the greatest price in blood. NATO never has. Which means that all of them, despite their braggadocio, are merely “paper tigers.” Russia and China know this, and the rest of the planet is very quickly finding out. “War Is Hell.”
“Real War” is an ugly, conventional, ground-based slugfest. There’s no way around it. Not with wunderwaffen, not with “tactical nukes,” not with anything.
So, to win a real war, you must have three things at once: well-trained manpower, industrial production, and logistics. USA/EU/NATO/Ukraine has none of these things in any depth. Whereas Russia (and China) has them without limit.
So, since they cannot win the war, the losers fantasize of some kind of endless stalemate. But Russia has the indisputable upper hand: this war is going to go on their terms. Until it ends.
They also dream of negotiations, but they blew that chance with “Minsk 1 & 2.” Particularly when they openly admitted that the entire thing had been a deliberate deception. “Fool me twice …”
This military operation is going to finally and decisively end in (probably, partial) surrender: “victory” as “the victor,” Russia, alone defines the term. Likely, the achieving of their original stated objectives and nothing beyond this. The boundaries of “Ukraine” have changed over and over throughout history, and this is simply going to be the latest example.

Russia has set 3 objectives but think there are now 4. And they will not stop until they have achieved these objectives. Putin has said this numerous times.
-Demilitarize Ukraine.
-Denatzify Ukraine.
-Liberate the 4 regions that have legally been added to the Russian Federation.
-Assure security of the Russian Federation.
There is already dissension in the EU and within NATO countries regarding Russian sanctions and supporting the Ukrainian war. BRICS is strengthening. NATO is not winning the war but the US keeps dumping money down the proverbial toilet into Ukraine. The world sees this and Russia doesn’t mind.
China and Russia are emerging as world leaders. China just brokered a major detente between Iran and SA, decades long adversaries. We could have done this, but the world sees the US only wants war. The U.S. took down the Nordstreams, essentially a brazen terrorist act.
Foreign money is being pulled out of US Treasuries. Oil is being sold in other than petrodollars, thus the petrodollar is starting to die. The U.S. signaled it wants to war pivot to China. Question is when does the US pull out of Ukraine?
Maybe when Trump wins office.
Well how many people have language, religion and ethnicity in common with the US in Iraq or Afghanistan (aka goat herding country) ? Considering the ethnic makeup of Ukraine, Russia has a pretty good chance of making it work. Especially from the Russian Ukraine I have been hearing from. I just called my local congressional rep’s office and spoke very politely to the aide and directed him to Regitiger/Sundance’s J6 Fedsurrection article. I gave him a very short synopsis about how the event was staged to enact emergency powers to bypass the constitution and ignore the normal rules for certification. The aide knew about the Treehouse but did not know about the article. He looked and found it and said he would read it. I am going to call a few others
Look up your or any other House rep and call them. Tell them politely and friendly about the J6 Insurrection article and direct them to it. I tried Gaetz’s & Boebert’s office but they may be out for lunch atm. I have to go to work so I can’t do more, but those who can here is a link and you can call more than your own Rep. I have always been disturbed by trolls who get so much pleasure out of being contrarian. They really make me cross when we are supposed to be thankful for all things.
This morning it came to me. Trolls are great for concentrating our arguments, for bringing out points that refute their postulates, for making us think about how we really feel about an issue, for making us research events and issues, for looking at other arguments for another position and either accepting or rejecting it, for keeping us from being a reverberation chamber far from reality.
So, I still don’t like trolls, but I can truly say today, “Thank you, God, for trolls.”
I try and use them as a positive. Generate my posts on that subject to counteract their bs. Of course once must be aware of their ‘baiting”
In my vernacular, “a troll” is either a robot or someone whose only purpose is to be controversial or annoying. A key hallmark is that there is no substance to what he is saying. (For those who remember back that far, “you could probably program ELIZA to be a very good auto-troll …” Google it.)
But, what is a hallmark of – especially – this site is that “here you will find ‘dissenting opinions.'” You might not agree with them, but there’s a real person out there who does. And who knew that he could express that opinion – here – and be heard and considered.
Importantly, here you almost never see “ad hominem attacks,” where the attack is focused upon the speaker himself versus what (s)he is saying. That sort of thing, when it occasionally happens, is very quickly shot down. (Thank you, Community and Moderators …)
Yes, I agree. Especially when THEY advance arguments, for their position, in an attempt to sway others to believe them, (which is WHY “rolcons” troll) and Treepers reply, and destroy their arguments, with logic.

I am a lifelong follower of Politics, and have been amased at how both RINOS (in the primaries) and Dems in the General, in 2022 midterms, simply refused to debate MAGA Candidates.
Firstly, this is a blatant admission that they can’t win the debate, and that “showing up” and losing would be worse for them, than not debating at all.
Secondly, as KL pointed out, how can you ask for people’s votes, and yet refuse to State and defend your policy positions to the electorate, by open debate with your opponent?
And, of coarse it’s further “proof” they are “campaigning” for BALLOTS, not VOTES.
AGAIN, note that both RINOS and Dems refused to debate, and like McConnell parroting Schumer on J6 tapes/TC, and on Ukraine “support” it exposes the Uniparty, for all to see.

At some point in college, I learned that Albert Einstein never became fluent in English. He was 54 when he moved to the United States, and had not needed it before then, since German was a prominent language of science and math during his most active decades of writing and study. He wrote almost exclusively in German his whole life, and in a flowery, verbose style typical of persons born before 1900. Aside from that, he sometimes tried to express himself mathematically rather than in sentences. For example, the true version that Einstein wrote of the last quote you listed looks like this:

Non-mathematicians may not get what that means, so some anonymous secretary (he employed several as translators) came up with the re-expression as a sentence. I guess a bank with about 30 branches in Georgia is way small. Another with branches in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee would be similar.
While all digital is watchable one way or another, I’m sure they would want all Americans in 6-8 huge banks. Easy to put that “account frozen for 14 days” meme into reality. So sad.
