Speaking at the Gridiron Dinner in Washington DC yesterday, former Vice President Mike Pence directly blamed President Trump for the events in Washington DC on January 6, 2021, saying:

Be of good cheer. Despite the main takeaway being pushed by mainstream media, these remarks strike me as good news.
These remarks indicate to me that the professional Republican control officers are growing increasingly desperate as President Trump continues to command the new Republican Party. If Ron DeSantis was making ground, the professional Republican class would not be as desperate as these remarks convey. All of their collective GOPe effort isn’t working…. they are starting to reach for the kitchen sink.

Hey Pence! I’m from Indiana, and still have a lot of family and friends who live there. Almost all were/are Trump supporters. And not one of them that I know of thought he should have chosen YOU as his VP. These friends and family range from fairly liberal to very conservative, but the one thing they have in common is that they never trusted YOU. I wouldn’t say they actively disliked you… at the time. But that was then, this is now. There are parts of the state that I’d advise you not to show your face in. Don’t believe me? Once you announce your joke of a run for the nomination, I DARE you to hold a rally. If you manage to draw more than a few dozen, the only reason will be that people are coming out to show their OPPOSITION to you. The larger the crowd, the clearer it’s gonna be just how much you’re disliked now.
