43 years ago when I decided to get clean (it only lasted a year) I was quite the vitamin and mineral nut-30 bottles in front of me everyday or week and back then one of them was royal jelly. Back then it was probably that good s___ Steve Martin talked about. You know-placebo. The source article said that foulbrood ran rampant during the 1800s and the early 1900s in bee colonies in parts of the United States. So if it is not a problem now, why vaccinate? Something very fishy here.

Not defending the above people, but AFB is bad news. I have hives, and while I have not had it I know that you can lose entire hives in mere days to this. Not all the workers as they live several weeks. However once the pupae succumb, it can go down hill very quickly. If you have multiple hives you could lose everything in a couple months. I would be interested in being shown exactly whats in it, as well as how it’s administered within the royal jelly – AFB is usually transmitted to pupae via the feeding of royal jelly before the capping of the comb where eventually a bee comes out. AFB is ingested by the pupae and kills them via rapid replication after the comb is capped leaving a scaley bacterial mess that easily moves around once uncapped.
In no way am I saying I trust the above, but at the same time I can’t discount it. We have lost hives to mites, and moths. Even the best kept apiaries can have issues unfortunately…
To top it off the only truly effective solution for most beekeepers is to literally torch everything – hive to beekeeping suit. Everything. Set it on fire….
