My husband and I say that everyday. My father in law fought on Guadalcanal and my father was a Drill Sargent in the Army. Why not move forward with a replacement of the Demcommie Party? That would make just as much sense. We did not create these two Parties. They created themselves and we get to vote for one or the other, or not. If we want to have a Party of our own, we will have to carve out large chunks of voters from both Parties as well as at least 1/3 of all so called Independents. That means we will have several political groups aligned with us, not just MAGA. MAGA is nowhere near being a majority voting block, but this is our only chance to win. The problem is that all issues are yin and yang and multiple major Parties would mean that narrow minded voters would have even fewer chances to win.
The Libertarians are living proof of this. If we want to have a Big Tent Party, we will have to be more accepting of different viewpoints on a variety of issues. These are just the facts of politics within a Republic.
Problem is, when one Party has power over all of the institutions of Government, they can break with the boundaries imposed on their competitors and there is no longer a Republic. I think we have to get out of this box before we can hope to rebuild anything resembling a Constitutional Republic. I do not know how this is done, since history shows it has never been done before.
Republics built out of enduring bonds of like minded people will thrive until they deteriorate because of a lack of any remaining enduring bonds. This is why the worst enemy of a Republic is Totalitarian Government. Anyone follow that? Maybe the place to start is by getting the Federal Government the Hell out of the Education Industry. We have already sunk into a morass of having nothing but ‘diversity’ as an enduring bond, and that is an oxymoron.
