Did you know the last regular order congressional budget was passed in September of 2007 for fiscal year 2008. That’s it. Every single year from 2008 to now has been a series of baseline budgeting, continuous resolutions and omnibus spending bills.

Not only that, next year, in the lead up to the election in 2024 the democrats will be able to cry crocodile tears and scream because the Republican house will be cutting spending, and the republicans can look heartless again. The only reason they’re jacking up the military budget is to give Ukraine more military assistance,they really don’t care about the actual soldiers. Senator cotton can’t even get new housing built on a base in his district.

Yes, it’s been done away with. It’s been replace with “trust in your representative”.
They change the budget or add to it with a ‘continuing resolution’. By not calling calling it a budget, all the restrictions and rules Congress is supposed to follow are ignored. The mainstream media protect the process. Another means to add money is through the Administration declaring an “emergency” of some sort. Covid was an emergency and at least 5 trillion has been spent so far on it. Hurricane Ian was a real emergency and the feds have spent less than 2 billion on that. Ukraine is now an emergency, spending on it is unlimited apparently. It would take a political revolution to overcome this where Congress is run by those interested in making a stronger America become the majority replacing those more interested in power and money. That was one purpose of the Tea Party and you saw how it was attacked and neutetered? It was a real threat to the power and money interests if it ever obtained significant traction and got power in Congress.

To live in a just society is actually rare in history but we had a fairly high level of justice in the USA until the Clintons appeared on the scene. Then we got the Bushs, Obama and Biden. People can criticize Trump but his actions were far more just than any of the clowns before or after him. True things have always been corrupt but the evil doers at least kept their worst cravings somewhat under control until recently. This is the Uniparty handcuffing HOR for a fiscal year. They are supposed to pass the spending bills, not deals made in the Senate. Our Government has become its own entity and is no longer functioning as the Constitutional Republic, we have outright socialists, communists, and traitors operating in our government. We have no legitimate means to air our grievances with the said government, only to be called terrorists or arrested by a weaponized FBI, fraught with criminals who seek to enslave or incarcerate us, Weismann, on a daily basis. When do we stop talking and start acting?
Then that means they are no longer protected by our Constitution. Maybe a few of them need that reminder.
Fiscal responsibility is GONE in the federal government. All of these spenders should be THROWN out of office for CORRUPTION. Every one of these bills is a SLUSH FUND for them to play with. When the MPs in Canada and the UK give a speech like this that is being recorded by a parliamentary camera, the small handful of his/her party’s MP’s that are actually in the chamber move from their scattered seats and sit behind the MP that is delivering the passionate speech.
At least the GOP Reps didn’t deceive the voters by making it look like there were other interested Reps, if any in the House, that agreed with Chip’s wise and rational speech.
