Elon Musk officially took control of Twitter on Thursday evening.
Immediately after taking ownership, Mr. Musk fired Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Parag Agrawal, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ned Segal, and the Head of Legal Policy, Vijaya Gadde, the person who took responsibility for banning former President Donald Trump from the social media platform. According to The Washington Post, Sean Edgett, the company’s general counsel was also given the boot.
The CEO, CFO and top legal officers all immediately removed. Nice start. Immediately after the top brass cleaning, Musk Tweeted “the bird is freed.”
According to financial reports, the S&P 500 is exiting Twitter (TWTR) from its stock market index effective November 1st as Musk takes the company private and promises to open source the background code to the public.
While there are many people waiting to see exactly what the changes mean to the user engagement aspects of the intelligence community engaged platform, this is easily the biggest change in the public information space in many years.
(The Washington Post) […] Musk’s moves late Thursday signal his intentions to put his stamp firmly one of the world’s most influential social media companies. Musk has publicly criticized Twitter’s outgoing management over product decisions and content moderation, as well as saying he would restore former president Donald Trump‘s account.
[…] The closure of the deal ended a months-long roller coaster saga in which the billionaire — the world’s richest person — conducted a hostile takeover to buy the company at an inflated price, only to renege on the deal and then enter into a bitter legal battle with the social network.
But in recent days, Musk appeared resigned, and even enthusiastic, about his impending ownership. He showed up at the company’s offices unexpectedly on Wednesday, carrying a sink to suggest that the message that he would become owner needed to “sink in,” according to a photo he posted to his more than 100 million Twitter followers.
He plans to hold a companywide town hall on Friday. (read more)

Let’s just keep watching….
Tea Leaves: Vijaya Gadde did not unilaterally ban President Trump. Other governmental paycheck actors eventually will be named.

The suspicions surrounding Jack’s Magic Coffee shop are not new. {Go Deep} Indeed, the recent whistleblower claims of data insecurity seem to align with the overall theme that U.S. government interest are more than a little deeply involved in the domestic surveillance system known as Twitter specifically, and big social media in general.
In the most recent datapoint assembly, a solid dive by MintPressNews into the number of former FBI officials working at Twitter, shows just how enmeshed the federal police are with the social media platform. The scale is really quite remarkable. [SEE HERE]
Big picture – the number of FBI officials working for Twitter indicates some strong connective tissue behind both enterprises.
[MintPressNews] – […] The FBI is generally known as a domestic security and intelligence force. However, it has recently expanded its remit into cyberspace. “The FBI’s investigative authority is the broadest of all federal law enforcement agencies,” the “About” section of its website informs readers. “The FBI has divided its investigations into a number of programs, such as domestic and international terrorism, foreign counterintelligence [and] cyber crime,” it adds. How would it damage the U.S. government if claims about the Chinese government having access to all user data on TikTok, are shown to be identical to the U.S. government having access to all user data on Twitter?
Let that question settle in for a few moments, because that is exactly what I have been alleging since, well, 2011, when the U.S. State Dept first collaborated with Twitter in a joint public-private partnership to use the platform as a communication tool exploiting the Arab Spring uprising in Egypt, Libya and beyond.
The issue of Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop is an issue of financial viability. The business model of Twitter just doesn’t exist as a free social media discussion platform while running the ultra-expensive data processing system needed for millions of simultaneous users. A global chat that requires exponential database responses as an outcome of simultaneous users is just ridiculously expensive. {Go Deep} However, if the computing system and massive database were being subsidized by the U.S. government, then the viability of the ‘free coffee‘ business model makes sense.
“Cloud computing is one of the core components of the strategy to help the IC discover, access and share critical information in an era of seemingly infinite data.” … “A test scenario described by GAO in its June 2013 bid protest opinion suggests the CIA sought to compare how the solutions presented by IBM and Amazon Web Services (AWS) could crunch massive data sets, commonly referred to as big data.” … “Solutions had to provide a “hosting environment for applications which process vast amounts of information in parallel on large clusters (thousands of nodes) of commodity hardware” using a platform called MapReduce. Through MapReduce, clusters were provisioned for computation and segmentation. Test runs assumed clusters were large enough to process 100 terabytes of raw input data. AWS’ solution received superior marks from CIA procurement officials”… (MORE)
The integration between Twitter and the United States Intelligence Community has been hiding in plain sight:
July 26, 2021, (Reuters) – A counterterrorism organization formed by some of the biggest U.S. tech companies including Facebook (FB.O) and Microsoft (MSFT.O) is significantly expanding the types of extremist content shared between firms in a key database, aiming to crack down on material from white supremacists and far-right militias, the group told Reuters.
Until now, the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism’s (GIFCT) database has focused on videos and images from terrorist groups on a United Nations list and so has largely consisted of content from Islamist extremist organizations such as Islamic State, al Qaeda and the Taliban.
Over the next few months, the group will add attacker manifestos – often shared by sympathizers after white supremacist violence – and other publications and links flagged by U.N. initiative Tech Against Terrorism. It will use lists from intelligence-sharing group Five Eyes, adding URLs and PDFs from more groups, including the Proud Boys, the Three Percenters and neo-Nazis.
The firms, which include Twitter (TWTR.N) and Alphabet Inc’s (GOOGL.O) YouTube, share “hashes,” unique numerical representations of original pieces of content that have been removed from their services. Other platforms use these to identify the same content on their own sites in order to review or remove it. (more)
A shared hashing protocol is a form of data system integration.
The databases of the identified social media platforms appear to be integrated with the U.S. intelligence system. This relationship makes the U.S government a stakeholder in the financial sustainability of the enterprise(s). Thus, a collaborative effort to subsidize the underlying data processing fits the mutual benefit scenario.
Against this demonstrably evident context, Elon Musk taking ownership of the platform becomes an interesting dynamic.
Still ,I am locked out of my account, yet again! Won’t tell me what I did . 3rd time this month and lost count of how many times since Jan.6th.
I was banned several years ago for no discernible reason. Checked a few times then but couldn’t get back on. Last night I signed up again, no problem.
Awesome picture of “Baghdad Wolf Blitzer”.
Go for it Elon, post on Twitter the whole enchilada that Julian Assange has on the U.S.
Another tweet about a “touchy” subject …that is still up and visible…
I so cannot wait for PV to regain twitter presense. I have been praying that PV will stick with the facts and not conjecture.
God Bless America
Project Veritas?
yes.PV
sorry for the acronym..bad habit.
reminds me of a joke from my former uniformed days
Q: what is the TLA for that?
person: huh?
you know, the Three Letter Acronym (TLA)
🙂
there are two possibilities:
I personally am going with 1 part of number 1 and 3 parts of numbers 2.
I am optimistic, but with caution.
noting: sundance…this particular issue deserves its own special weekly update. it is very very very important. As I have commented and you are aware, the issue of a free and neutral speech “townhall” has significance that should be fully developed in your expert analysis. I urge you to take this on and make this a core piece of your investigative reportings. I will help as much as I can to support this work and I am CERTAIN others are very interested in seeing it fully resolved.
for starters:
a. how (by name and background) are the “software engineers” that elon recently visited to review core code. We must know who these people are.
b. who are the principal private investors. by name and with financial documents to prove the veracity.
c. has President Trump been speaking directly with Elon about a restoration of his twitter account and what are the details of that conversation.
d. will the “new” twitter formulate a ad and marketing campaign that is open to small biz, or just those gigantic usual suspects?
etc…etc.
it really is important to understand what is happening..the world is shifting…we do not yet know exactly what this all means. Investigative journalists are invited to this converstation.
God Bless America
God Bless America
These people feel superior and smarter than the rest of us stupid Americans. Funny how they did not see this coming.
In case some aren’t aware, such a huge positive event as this story on Musk & Twitter, has predictably attracted large numbers of DNC, Leftists generally (and FBI?) trolls here to try to throw water on it, and shape public opinion against him and Twitter 2.0.
They use pretty obvious diversionary posts to change the subject off the one thing that matters most: A free speech advocate just took away and opened up the largest, most influential social media platform in the World, from Totalitarians bent on ruling over us by force.
I didn’t see anyone explain this so I’m going to attempt to.
“A shared hashing protocol is a form of data system integration.”
Hashing algorithms are well known (MD-5, SHA-256, ect.). It is the RESULT of using these algorithms that is shared. Hashes are used by all companies to store passwords, as only one example. Here’s a basic way it works:
You type in a new password at your bank. Your bank’s program uses a hashing algorithm to create a hash of that password. This way, the sys admin does not know what your actual password is. Well, they might, if you use a simple password. There are databases of hashes that can be converted back into their original text.
This is from the web:
“Imagine that we’d like to hash the answer to a security question. We’ve asked, “Where was your first home?” The answer we’re given is, “At the top of an apartment building in Queens.” Here’s how the hashes look with:
Now, imagine that we’ve asked the same question of a different person, and her response is, “Chicago.” Here’s how hashes look with:
Notice that the original messages don’t have the same number of characters. But the algorithms produce hashes of a consistent length each time.
And notice that the hashes are completely garbled. It’s nearly impossible to understand what they say and how they work. ”
So, here’s what the social media companies are sharing with whomever:
Example: (Hunter Biden article/video) -> run it through the appropriate/coordinated hash algorithm = get a unique hash.
If one company/intel agency (censor) has defined that hash as needing to be censored, then that hash is shared. It’s extremely easy, then, for these large organization to rapidly censor an item.
My point: the protocol isn’t the issue, it’s the output of the data after having been run through the hash protocol that is.
Stated another way, if I knew your social security number/driver’s license number/IP address, and I shared it with all organizations, then it would be easy to censor you personally. The result of running certain data through a hash algorithm is a unique ID just like those.
Interesting info. thanks for sharing.
In all fairness, we probably also need an article about Elon’s Magic Car Lot.

UN Resolution 16/18 – Article 20.2 Mandate: “ANY advocacy of hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by law.
In March of 2011, after years of high level talks with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) & Muslim Brotherhood allies, and after involving herself in the Arab Spring Uprisings, US Secretary of State stood on the floor of the United Nations and passed a resolution that binds all member states.
The United States is a member state and, in direct opposition to the US Constitution, has moved ahead with a campaign to govern the United States in accordance to the standards set by the United Nations.
July 15, 2011 – Hillary Clinton spoke at the Yildiz Palace in Istanbul Turkey. She said:
“And in established democracies, we are still working to protect fully our religious diversity, prevent discrimination and protect freedom of expression. So, for all of these reasons, this gathering and the shared commitment it represents is vitally important. It is one of these events that has GREAT RAMIFICIATIONS FAR BEYOND THIS ROOM.
