This is sickening to read, and perhaps even more sickening to accept. CTH has long outlined the belief that Bill Barr was the Bondo application to cover the DOJ and FBI institutional rot, and John Durham was the ongoing spray paint application.
The bottom line is an ongoing DC operation to preserve the institutional credibility of the justice system. A credibility, which is – at this point, entirely destroyed – yet the effort continues.

The basic legal case brought by Durham is predicated on the notion that Christopher Steele’s source for his dossier, Igor Danchenko, willfully and intentionally lied to the FBI, and therefore Danchenko is guilty of purposefully misleading FBI investigators assigned to the Trump-Russia/”crossfire hurricane” investigation.
This is where we must stop pretending. The Durham premise of a “duped FBI” is laughable on its face. No one in the FBI or DOJ-NSD was “duped” by false information from Igor Danchenko.
The lies, as they were with Clinton lawyer Michael Sussman, were well known to be false, yet materially beneficial to the unspoken intention of the DOJ/FBI, which was to target Donald Trump. The corrupt intent of the DOJ and FBI is the basic rot John Durham was appointed to cover over.
John Durham is running a Deep State cover operation to protect the institutions of the DOJ and FBI from evidence of their prior activity. The bulls**t of pretending this is not his motive is, well, quite simply nonsense and needs to stop. Look at today’s filing itself, overlay the timeline and you can see the corrupt intention of the FBI and John Durham’s clear objective is to cover for them.
The big picture takeaway is right there on the second page. Pay attention to the dates.
CONTEXT – From January 2017 through October 2020 the FBI was using Danchenko as part of its investigation. This includes the entire timeline of the Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissmann special counsel operation which took place from May 2017 to April 2019.
Danchenko was Christopher Steele’s primary source for information he put into his “dossier”. The DOJ-NSD and FBI used the Steele Dossier in lieu of a valid ‘wood’s file’ to support the FISA surveillance and search warrant application against Carter Page. The title-1 warrant gave the DOJ-NSD and FBI the ability to conduct surveillance over Donald Trump as a candidate and as a President. The warrant was issued in October 2016 and renewed thrice in 2017 (Jan, April, June).
The warrant was used to conduct electronic surveillance of President Trump during the time he was in office. Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissmann renewed the warrant to support their targeting of Trump and officials in his orbit. Most of the evidence gathered by Weissmann/Mueller was captured using surveillance legally authorized by the FISA warrant.
Without the Steele Dossier, there wouldn’t be evidence to support the FISA application. Without the FISA warrant there wouldn’t be legal surveillance of Trump. This is the importance of the Steele Dossier and as a consequence the importance of Igor Danchenko who provided the fabricated material within the dossier.
♦ We already knew from the Inspector General report on the Carter Page FISA application, the FBI had interviewed Danchenko in January of 2017, within days of filing for the first renewal of the Carter Page Title-1 surveillance warrant. However, we learn today -for the first time- the FBI hired Danchenko as a “paid confidential human source” following that interview.
According to Durham, Danchenko remained a paid informant of the FBI all the way to October 2020. Not coincidentally the same time when John Durham was officially appointed by Bill Barr.
So, let’s just stand back and look at this bulls**t scheme for what it is….
The FBI interviews and questions Igor Danchenko in January 2017 about the information in the Steele Dossier. Danchenko tells them the material he provided to Chris Steele was all hearsay, word-of-mouth, said in jest, bar talk. Essentially, nonsense [OIG report on those encounters]
Danchenko tells the FBI the material in the dossier was crap. Therefore, the underlying information that supported the FISA application was crap.
The FBI knows the information is crap, yet the FBI still used the dossier to get the first renewal of the FISA warrant (January 2017). The original application (Oct. ’16) and the first renewal (Jan. ’17) are word-for-word and page-for-page identical. The FBI and DOJ added nothing; they simply re-filed the exact same documents for the warrant renewal.
AFTER the January 2017 interview, the FBI hires Igor Danchenko as a paid confidential human source. This move can only be seen for what it was, the DOJ/FBI needed to mitigate the damage Danchenko could bring to their surveillance warrant authority, so the FBI hired him.
AFTER hiring Danchenko the DOJ/FBI then reinterviewed him before refiling the second renewal in April. With Danchenko on their payroll they don’t need to worry about him undermining the narrative or speaking the truth about the dossier. This approach protects their warrant. The surveillance warrant is renewed.
AFTER Robert Mueller is appointed special counsel in May 2017, with Danchenko still on the FBI payroll and under control… Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissmann now submit the FISA application for another renewal on June 29, 2017.
The reason to keep Danchenko on the FBI payroll is to mitigate any risk he might present if he were to speak.
As you can see from the Durham filing, Danchenko was kept on the FBI payroll throughout the Robert Mueller investigation and the special counsel also interviewed him several times. When Danchenko is interviewed on June 15, 2017, he is being interviewed as part of the Mueller operation. That interview was before Mueller renewed the FISA application on June 29th.
Igor Danchenko was kept on the FBI payroll from March 2017 through October 2020.
So, what happened in October 2020?
John Durham was officially appointed as Special Counsel by Bill Barr.

Danchenko interviewed by FBI in January 2017. Tells FBI dossier is junk.
FBI hires Danchenko in March 2017 just before renewing the FISA they now know is based on junk.
May 2017 Robert Mueller appointed to cover up all of the DOJ/FBI corruption that existed in the Trump targeting.
June 2017 Mueller interviews Danchenko, then renews the FISA.
February 2019, Bill Barr enters as Attorney General.
April 2019 Robert Mueller completes investigation.
May 2019, Bill Barr appoints Durham just to look into things. Immediately then begs Trump not to declassify any documents. Trump writes executive order giving Bill Barr ability to review and declassify documents.
October 2020, Bill Barr officially (and quietly), makes John Durham a special counsel. We don’t find out until December (after the Nov election).
October 2020, FBI drops Igor Danchenko as paid informant.
Put it all together and you see the continuum.
(1) Donald Trump was being targeted by a corrupt DOJ and FBI. (2) Robert Mueller was installed in May 2017 to cover up the targeting. (3) When Mueller is nearing his completion, Bill Barr steps in to mitigate institutional damage from 1 and 2. (4) Barr maintains damage control and installs Durham. (5) Durham takes over the coverup operation from October 2020 (Danchenko safe to exit) through today.
Main Justice kept a bag over Danchenko until they needed a scapegoat, created by Durham, to sell a narrative that Main Justice was duped. John Durham is charging Danchenko (working outside govt) with lying to the FBI while simultaneously avoiding drawing attention to the FBI/DOJ officials (inside govt) who knew Danchenko was lying and were willfully blind to it in order to continue attacking and investigating President Donald Trump.
James Comey, Robert Mueller, Bill Barr, John Durham, the Mar-a-Lago raid… it’s all one long continuum of the same targeting and coverup operation.

The timeline I have starts in 1996, when Glenn Simpson (WSJ reporter at the time) was covering the FBI providing the White House 600+ files on their political opposition (WH Chief of Staff Leon Panetta called it an innocent mistake). In 1999, Simpson penned an article about potential prosecution for FARA violations at Benex. In 2000, Simpson outlined absentee voter fraud being used to swing elections. 2001 saw Simpson write about FBI relying on private sector investigation materials. In 2004, he focused on money laundering out of Delaware, due to lax laws. In a miraculous series of coincidental events, Simpson repeatedly covered future Steele “dossier” mentionees who were then or previously had been targets of international law enforcement investigations, apparently : Dimytro Firtash; Paul Manafort; Alfa Bank; Mikhail Fridman; Ukrainian PM Viktor Yanukovich; Leonid Reiman; Oleg Deripaska; William Browder; Rosneft; Gazprom. Miracle of miracles, he also contacted McCain aide Rick Davis for a comment on Davis Manafort in 2008.
And we are to believe that, totally by miraculous fate, a guy being charged with lying to the FBI was able to concoct a series of reports that Steele assembled (pretextually writing as a Russian speaker with decent but limited English skills), and gave to an incredulous Simpson, who did not recognize the vast number of his prior subjects.
Lyndon LaRouche (included as a path to follow for the feds, a giant red flag for any reader familiar with LaRouche’s allegations re: the FBI and DOJ) alleged that he was persecuted as Trump now has been.
Rosneft shows up offering Carter Page $19 BILLION in stock, which is timed to trigger the FISA, while Rosneft’s US legal counsel is a guy named Christopher Wray at King Spalding. The deal actually emerging turns out to be Rosneft and CEFC, represented brilliantly by none other than Hunter Biden. And Chris Wray is never asked about Rosneft.
And the stupid section about Miami and the consulate: the Russian prosecutions there were decades ago, look up Tarzan, Little Odessa for a start, and one of the primary agents for the FBI was a guy by the name of Bob Levinson. I suppose the more recent crop of agents looking for him overseas never reviewed his cases, or they might have recognized a few interesting items included in the “dossier”.

Apology, transposed a number, to clarify from the “dossier”, p. 30 of the Buzzfeed version, listed as “Company Intelligence Report 2016/134”: “Detail: … 2. … SECHIN’s associate said that the Rosneft President was so keen to lift personal and corporate western sanctions imposed on the company, that he offered PAGE / TRUMP’s associates the brokerage of up to 19 per cent (privatised) stake in Rosneft in return.” The date of the “dossier” is listed as 18 October 2016 (the dates were initially redacted by the FBI, b 3-1), sources and methods); the first attempt was rejected as needing more info, the warrant was granted with info after the dossier miraculously supplied the allegations. Rosneft sold 19.5% percent to Glencore (founded by the late Marc Rich) and Qatar for $11 Billion in December 2016.
This was not the most egregious problem with the dossier, but it is one of the easier to explain.

Perhaps the most substantive revelation from this Durham filing is that the FBI tried to hide Danchenko from those investigating DOJ “Russiagate” misconduct by making him, during the Trump presidency, a paid intelligence asset of the government.
Devin Nunes, interviewed by Sebastian Gorka yesterday, seems to have a quite different take than Sundance on all this. According to Nunes, exposing the fact that Danchenko was put on the FBI payroll helps normal people see the FBI cover up. He was obviously put on the payroll, according to Nunes, to put him on ice, so that he would be protected from Nunes’s investigation. To keep Nunes’s team from digging into and revealing what would now have to be considered classified government “sources and methods.” Nunes implies that Durham is to be thanked for revealing this.
So we get the cynical interpretation of this development from Sundance, the more hopeful interpretation from Devin Nunes, and the optimistic interpretation from Brian Cates. We should probably listen to all sides before concluding that all is lost.

This could be interpreted in various ways, not all of them negative. One interesting one I saw recently goes like this:

That’s right. Somebody was surveilling and intercepting the electronic comms between members of the Trump transition team, transcribing those conversations and putting them in reports being passed around inside the Obama White House.
Somebody tipped Nunes off and showed him those reports with the transition team transcripts in them.
That alerted the FBI Crossfire Hurricane team to the fact they had insiders working against them to tip off the good guys and expose what they were doing.
One of the first countermeasures the FBI Crossfire Hurricane team took once they realized they faced exposure was to hire Danchenko as a CHS and put him on ice for 3 1/2 years.
Imagine if someone had exposed Danchenko and gotten to him back in 2017 when the RussiaGate narrative was still gaining steam; the Comey memos, the Mueller Special Counsel being formed, etc.
If it had come out then in 2017 that the Steele Dossier was made up fake crap from a Russian intelligence officer, their narrative dies.
So it was very important to keep Danchenko hidden at that time.
Which they accomplished by making him a CHS and paying him.
It’s kinda interesting that right as Attorney General William Barr was making John Durham a new Special Counsel in October of 2020, the FBI chose at that time to end it’s CHS relationship with Danchenko.
After 3 1/2 years of being assured he was protected, and that his role would never be exposed, not only was Danchenko exposed, he was dragged out into the light and hit with 5 false statement charges by The Special Counsel Who Was Supposed To Never Happen.
And now this Special Counsel is going to use Dancheko’s trial to blow a lot of minds as he maps out exactly how the FBI caught their own CHS in lie after lie, after lie..and kept paying him and using his fake shit to go after Donald Trump and his associates, all from March 2017 through October of 2020.”
I have said all along this was an attempted bloodless coup. Why was no one, not even the Republicans shouting sedtion and insurrection at the time? Clinton, the DNC, the FBI and you have to assume Pelosi, Schiff and Schumer all knew this was a lie. Trials should be held, and conviction gotten.

I was caution of Barr after seeing an interview of him with his good friend Ted Cruz, and then there was the connection with his father and Epstein. Quel dommage!

Everyone with a brain knew a career Connecticut Yankee Democrat Durham was never going to do anything but slow jam public opinion and the truth. There are no white nights in America’s Intelligence Community just as Edward Snowden and Julian Assange revealed .
The FBI has used ‘ignorance’ to hide their malfeasance for decades and on that basis alone their institution must be dismantled using their own admitted incompetence as cause..
When Durham’s chief investigator’s first question to Sundance (who uncovered the investigator’s identity)at their first official meeting is, “How did you find me?”, I immediately knew the fix was in; Sundance has corroborated his theory of the sham Durham probe with each passing posting.
What exactly are we trying to save? CPR is more for the providers and next of kin than the recipient (as years riding an ambulance has taught me).

The system is and always has been corrupt- bought and paid for by the central bank mafia who demands obedience. Trump was not obedient and neither are millions of patriots around the world (yes there are many in other countries who are watching the same goat rodeo we are here in the USA). The charade is coming to an end and now the globalists are falling back on intimidation and fear which will morph into jackboots on our streets. It has always been how tyranny plays out and the only question that remains is who and how will patriots stand up for freedom. I am a patriot and will stand with other patriots.
I saw nothing that indicated that Durham expected anyone to believe that the FBI was duped. Instead it seems he was showing that the FBI had tried to make it impossible for anyone to really investigate Danchenko. If he is a confidential human source, he must be protected from exposure. That is what they were up to.

Very good collection of related information that conflicts with elements of scenarios we have been told are the truth by one side or another. I have long questioned whether the supposed hostility between recent Democrat Administrations and Putin is not feigned.
Whatever else happened in Russia after communism formally fell there, you can bet the KGB did not lose the compromising information they had on figures in the United States and europe, or anywhere else. They also did not lose the phone numbers of their friendly contacts in those places. As is known now Ted Kennedy had sent an emissary, a Congressman, to Yuri Andropov in Moscow. Andropov was the former head of the KGB, then chairman of the communist party, and it is he who made Putin a colonel.
Now remember some other history. During the Bill Clinton administration, Putin retook Chechnya, which had earlier won Independence. Chechnya has a lot of oil and gas and is the source of much of Russia’s wealth now. The United States did nothing about Putin’s aggression.
Then, in the Obama Administration, Hillary gave Uranium One to Putin, and Putin was allowed to conquer Donbas and Crimea.
In the year before the 2016 elections rhetoric was used by the Obama Administration that seemed to imply we were about to go to war with Russia in Syria. That would have been completely illogical, but it did serve as a prejudicial backdrop for the information that Hillary was soon to be leaking to the press against Trump, as being supposedly a tool of Putin’s. And lastly, the material found by Hillary’s agent steele, was given to him by people who were mostly employed by Mr Putin and then supplemented by additional material fabricated by people working for Mr Comey.
We are lucky to have Mr Trump. Please question the premise that we also have Mr Putin. I’m convinced that he is part of our problem. I believe many have been taken in by a simple good-cop/bad-cop game the Democrats have played in cooperation with him and their mutual friend in Beijing.

CORRECT! Barr has continually said he is protecting the INSTITUTIONS, but the evidence says they are CRIMINALS. NO ONE BELEIVES BARR who should be DISBARRED for LYING to America.
I just want to make one comment about this story. The current case regards only Danchenko. It wouldn’t be appropriate to drag FBI wrongdoing into this case, although it’s possible that Danchenko’s defense will do that. What Durham does AFTER the Danchenko case will establish which side he’s on, truth or cover-up, it isn’t established by this particular case.
