Let’s say you are an average household with an income around $100,000/yr who has an increase in electricity rates from $300 to $500 due to Joe Biden’s new national energy policy known as the Green New Deal. That’s $200 more per month for this initial economic/energy “transition” moment.
That extra $200/month equates to $2,400 per year.
That $2,400 per year is static economic activity. Meaning nothing additional was created, and nothing additional was generated. The captured $2,400 is simply an increase in the price of a preexisting expense.
Take that expense and expand it to your community of 100 friends and family households. The $2,400 now becomes $240,000 in cost that doesn’t generate anything. $240,000 is removed from the community economy. $240,000 is no longer available for purchasing other goods or services within this community of 100 households.
The economic purchasing power of the 100-household community is reduced by $240,000 per year.
Take that expense and expand it to your county of 10,000 households. Now you are reducing the county economic activity by $24 million. In this county of 10,000 households, $24 million in economic transactions have been wiped out. Meals at restaurants, purchases of goods and services, or any other spending of the $24 million within the county of 10,000 households (approximately 25,000 residents) has been lost.
Now expand that expense to a larger county, quantified as a mid-size county, of 50,000 households. The mid-sized county has lost $120 million in household economic activity, simply to sustain the status quo on electricity rates. Nothing extra has been generated. $120 million is lost. The activity within the county of 50,000 households shrinks by $120 million.
Expand that expense to a large county of 100,000 households, and the lost economic activity is $240 million.
Expand that expense to a small state of 1 million households (2.5 million residents), and the lost economic activity is $2.4 billion.
Expand that expense to a state with 5 million households (approximately 12 million residents) and the economic cost is $12 billion in lost economic activity unrelated to the expense of maintaining the status-quo on electricity use. This state loses $12 billion in purchases of goods and services, just to retain current energy use.
These examples only touch on household expenses. The community, county and state business expenses for offices, supermarkets, stores, etc. are in addition to the households quoted.
Meanwhile the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the community, county and state, remains static because the GDP is calculated on the total value of goods and services generated in dollar terms. The appearance of a static GDP is artificial. In real Main Street terms, $12 billion in economic activity is lost, but the price or increased value of electricity hides the drop created by the absence of goods and services purchased.
Fewer goods and services are purchased and consumed. However, statistically the inflated price of electricity gives the illusion of a status quo economy.
Now expand that perspective to a national level and you can see our current economic condition.

My grandfathers are rolling in their graves
My grandfathers can’t rollover in his grave. It’s been foreclosed on.
Graves? That’s where the elites want to put billions of people.
With technology not as many workers are required in their estimation.
They look at most of the world population as cockroaches who consume too much.
It will take years to reverse the madness even if it was stopped tonight.
Yes evil walks this earth and it kills from afar. They are very few in numbers.
I almost pity the elites if just one nation, just one declares war on them, (the elites).
They, the parasites, will have brought it upon themselves.
Yes, I think that these utopian socialists like mass graves as much as the national socialists.
For the life of me, I will never understand the thrill these sociopaths get in watching others in misery, much less doing all they can to inflict that misery and devastation upon them.
And they do…they really do enjoy it.
I’ve wondered about that myself. How can there be so many onboard with what strikes me as sociopathic thinking/decisions/action.
Read C.S.Lewis’ The Screwtape letters for a humorous, but true to character as the Bible presents Satan. These evil ones are just that to their very center.
If only these elitists were patient. Demographers are predicting a world population collapse in about 30 to 50 yrs.
“Government” is the free-rider of Production. For every $1 in taxes, please do not tell me we get $1 back as productive services.
Add the Finance, Insurance, Real Estate, and Medical to U.S. GDP and ask your self how long this engorged Bumble Bee can fly.
government in economics is called sink costs……it is something you pay for as a structural expense that you have no choice about and comes with the added loss of opportunity costs which is what SD is referring to here…..when you remove revenue that could be used for the useful economic activity it cost not only for that specific activity but also removes the multiplier effect that it WOULD have generated…this is typically calculated as a factor of 6 – 8 to 1 as that dollar spent moves through the economy generating further economic activity before it is again issued for circulation
Government is welfare for liars, cheats, and thieves.
Government is liars, cheats and thieves!
You are being far to kind.
We dont really get ANYTHING back from the bureaucracy
well you DO in a properly functioning government…..the one we have now requires even further sacrifice
And we’re supposed to thank them for it!!!!
Every times you post that a holes picture, I just want to grab that purple tie and do you know what!
POTUS Trump said it best when he told us these are some SICK people.
God Bless America
Let’s Go Brandon!
This is not sustainable to the next pres election.
Perfect start to a head banging afternoon
AND now take the increased energy costs and overlay the burden this creates for all the other items in the daily economy a household will purchase.
All items that involve transport or fossil fuel fertilizer are added to the multiplier. Please inform me of any items in our day to day purchases that are not effected by the contrived increase in the cost of fossil fuels.
Along with the grain market that is supposedly blocked by the Ukraine war with Russia…so bread, oil are being controlled by russia with this fake war while we pay higher prices for bread and gas?
Biden is and idiot, but not so much, he’s protecting a son and does not have a clue about policy. Biden has a goal, but it’s just about protecting his convict son and not about American interests.
Sanctions by US/EU caused shortages in US/EU.
Those pushing the green bad deal look at it in terms of its better to let the state spend that 240$ than you.
.
Why, of course.
They will sink it Solyndra scams, electric battery and used windmill blade (asbestos?) garbage dumps, and more and more EV charging stations for their cars.
What? You don’t think they are giving up on eating out, do you . . .?
Solyndra on steroids and to think that that fiasco was only in 2011. Do stupid people ever learn?
And let’s not forget that the cost of energy whether it’s fossil fuel or to convert to this new infrastructure by the public governments at the local, state, and national level. They will pass on those costs right back to the taxpayer who’s already getting shafted in the form of higher electricity rates so now their property taxes go up.
It’s really very simple; energy is the lifeblood of any economy. The heart of any Nation is its economy.
Kill the energy and you kill the economy. Kill the economy and you kill the nation.
The next generation goes back to the Dark Ages.
Only fools and mental defectives cannot grasp this very simple principle.
as I have been telling my Leftist acquaintances for years….a modern economy operates on an abundant, available, and CHEAP supply of energy……absent any one of these and you disrupt it….they are working on limiting all three
They are just carrying on with Obsama’s War on America. This stagnation going on now is reminiscent of his Obamacare stagnation years, where you could work like crazy and end up worse off, (the leftist Utopia where nothing makes sense.) only difference is almost everything has doubled in price in 1.5 years of Joe Stalin’s Reign…. so it’s going to be a full blown collapse at this rate. This is some serious 3rd world banana Republic BS…. but what do you expect with a bunch degenerates running the show.?
Well … that IS their goal, is it not?
What happened to the extra $200 per month that the electricity provider received for delivery of the same amount of electricity?
they spent it on their fuel supply to generate the electricity….just like your cost to provide for your needs are subject to inflation so are theirs under BBB
In other words, it remains in the economy.
The wealth of the electricity consumer is diminished by $200 per month, but that $200 continues to flow though the economy from the electricity provider to the fuel provider and so on.
in the end with added profit from higher prices, it will result in higher taxes which is always a government goal…remember the government LOVES inflation and plans for it….it devalues the debt they create and causes an increase in revenue collected as taxes as the income of citizens to rise….their purchasing power loses ground but this is of little concern to the government as long as their cut grows
nah, Biden is making sure it leaves our economy and enriches losers in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Venezuela.
…wealth continues to flow to the fuel provider who pay the Biden increased royalties, federal lease costs, importation costs, and so on. It doesn’t remain in the OUR economy.
Yes, but it transfers the wealth within that economy.
It will be used to create solar farms where food used to grow.
I prefer the giant windmills scattered all over our farmland. If you sneak in stealth-like, you can stand under them and wait for the birds to drop. Sometimes I bag a hundred a day. Only way I can afford to eat meat. The bald eagles are really tasty.
Are their any windmills in the Dakotas ? I prefer pheasant!
I’m in the Midwest, and we have lots of pheasant. They tend to stay low, so you’re prob outta luck. But if you have EV’s, the pheasants can’t hear them when they’re crossing the roads. You might be able to bag some that way as roadkill. Plus some deer, fox, buffalo, and the occasional human.
Peoria, pheasant is delicious I find when they are clean and dressed as soon after death as possible. In the UK where we lived, pheasants killed are hung until they are gamey. Maybe you knew this. And those I never tasted.
Additionally, many a pheasant found a home in our rural garden. My husband would pick them off from the Dutch door, the top open, at the back of the house with a 410. Blessings to you.
LBT, I can’t handle gamey meat. Worst thing I ever had was quail eggs, served as a delicacy in London, on a Presidential delegation at a fancy party. I thought they were mushrooms, and was glad to take one offered to me on the tray.
Once I started chewing on it, I had to excuse myself. Awful! That was on the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and I can still taste it to this day!
That taste that one remembers I know too well. And, like you, I am not partial to a gamey meat.
But what is one to do when at a party of import when offered a delicacy such as you described? Exactly what you did. I bet your exit was graceful, made with all the decorum you could muster. Brava! Still LBT😉
Crazy tidbit. That night, at the RAF museum reception after I got sick, I got onto the elevator…alone with a handsome man with longish curly hair, dressed rather modernly. The place was shut down to only those of us on an exclusive list, so I wasn’t worried that he looked out of place.
He made some polite small talk, and pressed my floor button for me. I could barely keep from staring at him, because he looked exactly like my favorite rockstar, Robert Plant. His smile was magnetic and I could hardly believe I was alone in England with the spitting image of my idol.
I went about my way, knowing it couldn’t be, but never forgot that elevator experience. Years later, I learned that Robert Plant is a huge WWII RAF buff, and financial contributor and collector. (Sigh.) If only.
Oh myyyyy!!!! The people you see on British lifts! A bit of a thrill there. Now you know, but don’t you wish you knew then?
Funnily enough on my first trip there, I got into a tiny lift with Daley Thompson, the decathlete. And the funniest part of it was, I had just come from the touristy thing of seeing Madam Tussaud’s, where they had a wax work of him.
He was the spit of that waxwork. So while I was trying not to stare, I was giving him the side eye, which I’m pretty certain was so obvious. Half of me wanted to get an autograph, and the other half thought it might be terribly gauche…so I didn’t. And I’ve been forever sorry that my reticence got on the way.
Love that story, Peoria. Ah, memories!🤗
LOL, side eye, yep! Oh, to go back with the savvy and confidence we possess decades later.
Amen! Didn’t have it when I was younger. Something only age can deliver. Blessings to you, Peoria.
Maybe I should make my target millkill ducks, although they may be flying to high.Guess I will have to go with the songbirds , starlings and the occasional bird of prey.I,m getting hungry for some tenderized dove.
Lots of crows. They want us to eat crow.
Never tried crow.I assume its nasty ,per the saying.
We’re loaded with Canadian geese in CT.
I heard HRC was a partner on some Solar generation farms, can’t remember if they were based out of Little Rock or not, but I believe they signed big money contracts with cooperatives to provide a certain amount of power for say 10 years, etc, but the HRC company also received all the Solar credits Biden is giving away “up front”, whereas the cooperative (that normally provides the power) did not get any solar credits. This was something she just got into, seriously Lol. Funny how that works out.
Like when she made a killing in the futures market, knowing nothing about futures.
She still does that, only it’s her donors doing the trading!
It pays for oil from foreign sources as our cheap oil is off limits. It goes to the people that design and build green energy scams. It goes to the higher fees that government charges. It goes to pay for higher shipping costs for everything because all fuels are more expensive.
But, mostly it is the tax that pays for the increase in the money supply. Government created money has a cost and this is how we pay it.
Prepare your standard of living to go down in the next few years, by a bunch if inflation gets worse.
The living standards are already hitting rock bottom for most people. Most of the folks on foodstamps and free housing etc…. are living in fantasy land…. all the others are faking it till they make it….. most won’t at this rate, bankruptcy is in their future.
I wanna be an optimist, but this Obama/Biden era socialism/communism offers no optimism at all.
And, don’t forget how much we support those millions of illegal aliens that we can’t even identify or vet.
Doesn’t that help the money disappear faster?
The comment comes to mind whenever local or any govt wants to pass a bond issue or new tax. “ it’s only a few cents or a few dollars”. They try to guilt the resistance by saying it is minuscule. Great math lesson for our economically challenged friends
Local Govt’ are racketeering specialist nowadays. Create a bond issue, pass it without anyone really knowing… then give all the contracts to their buddies who control all the construction, engineering, etc. outfits. We had a huge sales tax increase locally…. for an industrial complex that was a cornfield before. The officials said it was a good investment and they had companies who were going to move into the Govt’ owned complex, notice how that works? They used taxpayers future earnings to buy land that the govt’ then owned? Anyways, they built the whole area, did all the ground work/ civil engineering, new street lights, signs, etc. and the complex has nicer roads and sidewalks than the rest of the city! All the local firms connected to the govt’ got the contracts as usual. Now 5 years later we are still being taxed on it via sales tax (I think it was a 25 year sales tax increase.) and not one business has entered the industrial park LMAO. Businesses have actually been leaving the city now. I almost wonder if Obama is involved with it…. (Just kidding hahaha.) but those kind of scams are right up his alley!
Our small town is going to get a $30 million judicial center. It is our cut of the Covid Relief funds that we have to spend or lose. So the local politicians decide to build a new courthouse that only criminals and lawyers will use. Then they will need to decide what to do with the old courthouse.
Two years ago, this problem didn’t exist.
It only exists today due to incompetence, mismanagement, malfeasance, and arrogance.
It seems that Dunning Kruger effect is in full control of this administration.
You can’t fix stupid. The only choices are to ameliorate their effects, remove them, ignore them, and replace what sounds good with what actually works.
If anyone believes Biden, Granholm, Buttboy, Klain, McCord, Schumer, Schiff, McConnell, etc, can or will fix any of this, then they are part of the problem. They don’t know how, don’t care how, and only seek to gain power from everything they’ve screwed up. All of them need to be unemployed and/or imprisoned.
All I can say is to teach your kids: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/QPlOqV9Fjvo
Dr. Utopia’s Ism. “Make Mine Freedom”, 1948.
When Biden started calling half or more of Americans the enemy, fascist, etc.
He is telling you his goals… which is to bankrupt us, hopefully the GOP is catching on to these criminals before it’s too late for us peasants.
What we are witnessing in the energy sector destruction is not incompetence.
And where did that money — that pure profit for the electric compamy — go ?
“pure profit?”……have your energy costs gone up……guess WHAT…..so have the utility’s
OR are you one of those believing electricity originates from the wall socket?
To expand on your thought,
the last I knew the utility still had to amortize the cost of generation beyond paying just for the fuel/btu’s.
Equipment is not free or without maintenance.
My electric company is a co-op.
Prices have increased to meet the amount they must pay to keep the electricity flowing.
They are now facing increases in fuel for vehicles and maintenance of the vehicles, cost of equipment- to repair or replace. Just routine maintenance cost money. All of their operating costs have skyrocketed.
In years past they have actually sent refund checks to customers. Don’t see that happening any time soon.
I’m willing to bet the big power companies make record prophets. Our big supermarket chain certainly did, this last quarter.
so your supermarket chain also made obscene levels of “pure profit?”
Mayhap someone needs to start a discussion of the distinctions between revenue and profit.
The stores are also taxed on this higher revenue while their profits are squeezed by skyrocketing overhead costs. That can only mean more layoffs.
are you trying to talk to me about the difference?…….I am using a variation of the Socrates method to point out the ridiculousness of his assertions…they lack any thought before he posted them
do not worry…..among the multitude of math classes I have also taken several layers of economics classes in college….I am well aware
More for the benefit of the audience.
Buy toilet paper.
I would argue that the $200./month increase is more than $2,400./year as you’re paying the bill with after tax income.
I would guess more like $2,800./year.
if you want to consider it from an engineering standpoint that future value (FV) is in devalued dollars so it holds less inherent worth than in present value (PV) dollars
just missed this, but I just said the same thing.
2400 is more like 3400 for many folks in after tax. Imagine what gas is…. when Biden says $3.50 is $3.50….. after tax money is actually almost $5.00 per gallon. So technically all the people who were being pinched with 6-7 per gallon in California were already paying ~$10 in after tax money per gallon.
Wouldn’t you be paying the taxes regardless
You have to look at it as “if I want to spend $200., first I have to earn $230. because the gov’t is going to get their cut off the top (for most of us).
Considering those numbers are just based on electricity rate increases, the numbers are almost to big to calculate when adding in the inflated costs of food, fuel, and interest rates. I included interest rates because by this point many are using credit cards for normal monthly expenses.
When you figure inflation in with the Govt’ taking 50%+ in income tax, property tax, sales tax, nickle dime fees, etc. from most folks incomes nowadays.
We are looking at a full blown financial Armageddon. The reason why Trump’s economy worked is because he knew the damage that excessive taxes do to an economy…. which is why they (the GOP) passed the taxcuts and business credits/ writeoffs. He had our country running like a well oiled machine! Despite the commies trying to attack him every chance they got!
Given that energy costs are a paid first priority for many, the subsequent chain of payments and taxes also disappears.
I would expect a significant drop in the sales tax collections in many states and cities that impose them.
At the same time, government budgets related to energy costs are increasing.
This will cause many problems.
police departments are claiming to be out of fuel for their squad cars and no budget for more
Well, good reason to park at the doughnut shop, engine off, waiting for a call for service. No patrolling, more crime when the chance of being caught is so drastically reduced. Nice.
but but but, they got money for a gazillion new squad cars every year.
government is a funny animal….they often appropriate money for a specific purpose….it CANNOT be used for anything other than that….if you choose not to spend it how it has been designated often you just lose it
So that’s how they de fund them?
You had me at 100. So many people dont undertand the impact. Personlly I dont suffer much because I dont need much other than food, A/C and a cheap way to cook. I am very conservative in all things and when my electric bill last month hit 200 bucks I freaked out and reading here, I am guessing those with children and larger families to take care of freaked out a lot more than I did with my small bill that used to be 100 bucks or less.
Before I read here about the struggle, I listened to my local radio station WKSY and the morning show host BoB Rose who actually moved out of the Gainesville GRU electric district to avoid the high utility bills only to follow him with this egregious hike in the electric bills that followed him once Biden was elected. I cant even imagine paying a 600 dollar electric bill.
I am fortunate in the way I can control my energy consumption and pay a small electric bill compared to the rest of the country, but I cant fathom how anyone could raise a family now with the drastic increases in electric bills.
I never thought it would be such a bonus to live alone so I could afford to live a comfortable life because my needs are so small that I wont suffer what families do just to stay together.
I remember a time when it was cheaper for a family unit to all get together and share expenses. It seems that is no longer the case while I research the family energy usage apart
John, we are the same. Our bill in July was a shocking $277, and that was with the AC set on 86. I moved it immediately to 89 day/85 night. And we simply endured. But our August bill, while still over $200, was $60 less. We’ve known for 3 months the rate rise was coming, almost double the cost for kWh, so have tried to adjust for what we knew we’d be facing.
And yet on our town per the app people share news on, the screams of incredulity at monstrous bills have not stopped. All are truly outraged.
What’s going on, they ask. Is anybody else getting bills like ours, they query. How can this be, they cry. There HAS to be a mistake, they shout.
It is amazing to me as clearly as we have been warned this monstrous increase was coming, there are still huge, unbelievable numbers of people who weren’t paying attention. I don’t know what their reaction will be when those costs keep rising (as intended) and the grocery shelves are less full (also as planned).
We are seniors. We paid attention because on social security only we must. It’s what it is. I suspect this winter when the gas bills come in those same shocked people are going to be screaming once more, with no more idea about why their bills are eye watering than they did in the summer.
And like you I am terrified for people and their families who will struggle or be unable to pay their bills. And I say prayers for these people nightly that God Almighty will make a way for them. I hope He’s listening🙏
People are going to start moving away from Electricity (finding cheaper methods to cook, survive, etc.) as this corrupt Govt’ becomes more Abusive against we the People! This is common in #rd world countries. Cooking food with fire, woodstove, etc.
The EPA and their lackeys, the Green Police no doubt being formed here as in Canada, and in European countries, will descend like furies. It’s more than disconcerting to think what’s coming.
The Mayans always cook with wood. Many indigenous tribes do also. America is 3rd world now
My wife and I weaned ourselves off credit, 20+ years ago.
We spent many years getting ourselves ready for “TEICAWKI”; a collapse of civilisation.
We didn’t know the details or specifics, and noone could have anticipated what we have seen, but we knew it was coming.
I have sympathy and empathy for those that are suffering, I truly do.
The SIGNS were ALL there.
Didn’t need plandemic or AMA etc support for trangender ‘treatment’ of dysphoria, to KNOW the American Medical system was hopelessly corrupted.
Didn’t need to see liberas of tic toc, to know Public education system, ditto.
We are not, YET experiencing any significant ‘shocks’ to our lives or lifestyle, from the financial clusterf*ck they are doing.
Not to say it won’t effect us, just that it hasn’t, yet.
But then we don’t spend 110 percent if our income, and make up the shortfall with credit and juggled payments.
While in FL last winter, I was alone and am scrooge regarding electric use…one load of laundry a week, dried half of it in the garage. No AC on. Energy efficient light bulbs. Occasionally cooked a meal in the oven, nuked others and had mostly cold cuts…FPL bill was almost $90. I don’t see how families in FL manage…
I do know that many double up in some larger homes and split the costs.
🎵🎵killing me softly🎵🎵🎵
Comes to mind.
You missed the fact that the 100 K is gross, and the 2400 is net dollars. Assuming that you are in the 15% tax bracket, it is closer to 2800 Gross income.
Most people are taxed far higher than 15% when you figure all the other taxes.
There’s gonna be a whole lot of burning cities.
The recent EBT outage almost lit them off the other day…and that’s just drop in the proverbial bucket compared to what’s coming.
My Grandad was a Bazooka-man in WWII. Fighting the original cockroaches and he told me to never forget that one day they will return and to be prepared.
He taught me to fish, shoot, play golf, throw darts and above all to love our Beloved America.
He died my senior year of HS. Two days after I turned 18. He was only 66.
I promised him that we will never relent to these F’ing Nazis and make No Mistake that WE WON’T!!!
Good men must do bad things in life and if saving America from these heathens is a bad thing…
So Be It!
We Will Never
Die On Our Knees
May God Bless You All and may he have mercy on their souls

Just like Tucker says. Look at Europe right now. That’s exactly where we’re headed and there are American citizens who are just fine with that. It’s beyond disgusting.
Citizens yes.
Americans no.
My Ukrainian friend lives in Africa now… with her kids. When you start seeing this kind of stuff first hand, you know it’s getting bad! She couldn’t afford to live in Europe, where she was a refuge for many months!
I’ll bet our betters/con-gress…..
will vote themselves a raise……
at least $3,000 per month.
But they will NEVER vote for term limits…
California is going to ban the sale of gas powered cars. How many charging stations will that take to be built across the state? How many homes will require to be retrofitted in order to charge an EV? This is just another effort to force households into mass transit! California will eventually look like Cuba with gas powered cars being held by families and passed on to family members until gas stations are eventually banned in Cali!
not going to, have…..35% EVs in 2025 68% EVs in 2030 100% EVs in 2035, and some law VA passed a couple of years ago to mimic CA emission laws means they will do the same……TWO big problems, however…..already have electric shortages without adding new draws on the grid and not even close to enough raw material to even meet the 2030 mark let alone even higher…..remember EVs require a lot of different raw materials that are currently being mined at near capacity in the world
I’m asking Santa for a bicycle this year.
Those are the economic costs. There are much, much harsher costs coming along with this. What is going to happen when millions of people (already behind) don’t have electricity, heat, food. They will reach a point of desperation and it will all hit the fan.
No fan.
Needs electricity.
Going “Green” is going to put this country in the “Red,” Bigly!
Toss in mortgages for overinflated housings and food prices shooting up due to transport costs and you got a trifecta of financial misery. Not the worry, our 401k’s will help us along and oh lets not forget Health insurance actuarial table are going down the shitter due to clot shots. Yup, the boomers have everything well in hand…..
Its gone from trillions are at stake, to trillions are being stolen.
These people we see, like those two above, are going to end up crying and weeping in agony at what is gong to take place on this planet. They will not escape. They have their false god and are worshiping it with every decision they make. What is even worse its monopoly money (FUNNY MONEY), it has no value of any kind, no purchasing power no store of value no nothing, its only value will be to start a fire in your wood stove!
Their plan replace this funny money with some other form of funny money, just call it something else! This is their last hooray and the end of their worship of the false god, money!
Its will be a ruff ride, be prepare, do not be caught off guard!
Not that I agree that Elon Musk is the authority on anything other than electric cars…He came out to say we still need oil unless we want a economic collapse…not just in our nation but world wide.
I agree he’s correct, but didnt we know that already?
His companies rely heavily on specialized Manufacturing, without oil there is absolutely no manufacturing of any kind.
Excellent perspective there,
lets go brandon!
What is it Arabs living on sand drive Mercedes while Americans with more natural resources than any Nation in the World being forced to reduce our standard of living?
What happened to “be all you can be”?
What does any this have to do with MAGA?
The American people better not accept and adapt. The American people better demand and fight for what is rightfully and constitutionally ours.
How long until Mass Non Compliance happens?
#TaxRevolt
After the amount of insane widespread COVID compliance, with truly insane and clearly irrelevant demands and “rules”, do you really believe that we have a nation of people capable of noncompliance? They are 90% lemmings, that just keep marching over the cliff!! We’re doomed!!
I haven’t paid taxes in years with the hope my fellow citizens would join me. That hasn’t happened so now I’m going to have to pay the IRS to avoid prosecution.
I hope the bureaucrats in Ukraine and the DC grifters are enjoying your hard earned money.
I’m about to be forced to join that and other wasteful scams that rob our wages.
Governor Tom Wolf was joined by Representative Sara Innamorato and local officials at Roots of Faith ministries in Sharpsburg to continue calling on Pennsylvania’s Republican-led General Assembly to finally take action and support Pennsylvanians by passing legislation for the $500 million PA Opportunity Program, which would send $2,000 checks directly to Pennsylvanians in need using money the commonwealth already has in the bank.
https://www.governor.pa.gov/newsroom/gov-wolf-2000-direct-payments-to-pennsylvanians-will-make-a-life-changing-difference-for-families-in-communities-across-the-commonwealth/
RDS is supposedly sitting on a $23B surplus in FL….where are their rebate checks for overpaid taxes?….I am sure those residents could use an infusion for utilities, food, gas, rent, etc.
My state went from $500 million hole for the past 10 years to $5 billion surplus. Funny how that Covid racketeering money laundry mat works out… for even stagnant states. Note we had a Democrat Governor installed in 2018…. even though it’s a Red state. SO how did she end up with an extra $5 Billion in cash?
We Floridians must have a balanced budget by Constitutional amendment. To do that, we need a massive surplus in hurricane and wildfire country.
Those excess funds are where they need to be. In Florida’s savings account.
I am not opposed to the advances of Technology.
But when the Government gets ahead of Technology by mandating what may or may not be produced it is insane on a number of levels.
For EVs, the technology is not there for range and pricing. The infrastructure is woefully inadequate.
Compare that to the advent of the Model T. Cars advanced technologically without mandates.
From an economic standpoint, EVs will be a disaster.
Let the Free-Market dictate advances in Technology, not the Government through mandates.
These evil doers knowingly are creating massive pain, suffering and hardship on millions of Americans simply because they hate low cost, efficient carbon based energy.
They would rather see people lose their jobs, homes, families and even starve before they will simply drill and leverage our abundance of coal, oil and gas natural resources for the good of mankind.
Now do you see why these people are pure evil!
it is called control……you control people’s food, energy, and housing and they belong to you……even WITH EVs you do not get true freedom of movement like you do with an ICE vehicle….100+ miles if you are lucky with an 8 hour stop for recharge does not sound like a speedy advance to me
They are evil and mentally sick. Period. Logic can’t explain their behavior.
As Obama says the prices will “necessarily skyrocket”
IF ONLY… it was JUST our electric bill. Fuel for the car, other utilities, groceries, insurance, meals out, and everything else that has recently gone up. This Green Tax is more like $1000 a month that I’m short now and I was barely surviving 6 months ago.
Won’t take much longer to foment a Revolution in the streets like we’re seeing in other countries now. I hope Iran overthrows their government. I’d like to see our current one removed, but who/what will replace it if it happens “organically” before November 2024?
We like to think we’re more civilized than those 3rd World countries but I don’t think that’s necessarily true anymore or at least now that our eyes are open and we know this is all intentional.
Infuriating!
EXACTLY.
Pa has earning power for now, Ma is a trophy wife.
But we are the providers of all holidays and vacations. Every family gathering and event has been massaged by Ma &Pa’s, gifted culinary skills as master smokers, brewers, and top earners. Pa is working at the top capacity of His profession. The golden handcuffs, are stiffling. But we only have two years left to retire. But Pa will never retire at this pace.
This summer we saw how our family members, 42 strong, are conflicted and compromised. Heartbreaking.
It wouldn’t be this way if they were more grounded in their faith.
The transponder has them sleep walking.
I will keep up the faith, family and country, till our last breath.
And this is what the current crop of “elected representatives” is imposing on citizens.
Name me one representative doing this MATH.
THEN ask yourself why not? Are THEY representing YOU/US? Or those Corporate interest that fund their campaigns?
If this is the best our government can perform, we need to determine just how much governance we DON’T need.
Aren’t our electricity rates set in a contract with the energy provider? So, our rates shouldn’t change until at least, our contracts expire and we have to renew. Am I missing something? Thank you!
More than likely some fine print about Cost Plus pricing. “Not our fault. The Provider raised its rates so we had no choice…”
I researched my co-op, we bought NG under a 3 year contract (18 months) left, so our KW is still ar 18 cents. Reading everyone here is painful cuz our bill hasn’t changed.
I’m curious about the number of people in Congress and politicians across the states who own and use electric cars. And why the gov isn’t using electric vehicles exclusively, specifically potted plant puppet Biden’s gov protection vehicles.
I want them to put their money where their big fat pie holes are. (Yes grammar police, not grammatically correct.)
A year ago or so a politician, can’t remember his name, who does drive an ev was caught in a snowstorm while on the highway. His car ran out of juice and died leaving him unable to driver or use heater LOL. He was so proud of himself for driving an ev, into shaming others.
Opportunity cost quantified like never before.
And smoke and mirrors revealed. Great post.
And Warren Buffet just happened to buy a bunch of electric companies a few years ago. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.
Democrats don’t do “maff”
Tucker talked about the world wide energy situation last night. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zn6c-UkqlHo)
He said high energy and fuel prices were the result of green new deal ideology and politics – Western leaders do not seem concerned in the least about the suffering and death in winter without heat, and destruction of citizens businesses and their nations’ economies.
Tucker said the policies of the US and European leaders, sending billions to Ukraine, ignoring their own citizens’ needs, closing down citizens’ businesses to save energy and destroying their nations’ economies “only makes sense if the goal is to destroy the West and make way for Chinese global dominance.”
This is no different than the price of diamonds. The supply is plentiful but the market keeps it intentionally low in order to drive up the price due to the demand.
That is money that used to go to local businesses and will be redirected. Everyone will be poorer while increasing the cost to live. The money will buy the New Green Deal (new people will get very rich) and pay the cost of printing money.
If one is paying higher prices for basic living expenses, one has to cut back
elsewhere. Restaurants, department stores, hair salons, barber shops, automobile
dealers, travel of any kind etc. all take a huge hit. People are laid off. Bankruptcies
increase, welfare increases, credit card and loan defaults increase; small businesses
close and the stock market tanks.
The US is now in a great recession or depression.
Yes, clarity will be obtained in the next 6 months or so. Be patient and pray. And prepare.
Thank you Sundance, I will copy and paste to my idiot friends!
You can’t fix stupid.
