Former Vice President Mike Pence delivered an establishment republican party speech at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH, today. During his prepared remarks, Pence denounced the effort of some people in the republican party who call for defunding the FBI.
According to Pence he was, “deeply troubled” by the behavior of the justice department and the FBI during their raid on President Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago. Pence continued by saying the FBI “rank and file” should not be attacked or disparaged for the political agenda exhibited by the organization they represent. It’s a weird statement when you think about it in context.
The FBI as an institution doesn’t do anything; it is the men and women within the institution that take actions based on corrupt political intent. The only way to address the behavior of the FBI is to do exactly the opposite of what Pence is saying. Institutions are made up of people. Taxes are high as F*ck….. just sales tax alone in my area is 10%….. Then when you figure you pay 30-40% tax on income , especially if self employed, or running a business which is actually over 50% when your tax is added off the top of income/profits with that tax amount included and not the bottom pretax amount. What bothered me more, is that in those pictures she usually looked like she smelled something bad. I remember a few candid shots of her alone with Melania, where she did have a genuine smile. Maybe Karen was not a happy person. Maybe she didn’t like her husband, either.

Well, we just don’t know. The Pences always struck me as overly pious, which can be irritating and fake. But maybe Karen really is genuine in her faith? With so many proven traitors, I just don’t feel good about going after his wife for not being tall, thin, and gorgeous.
At some. point I noticed the absolute displeasure on Karen’s face and I would watch her in all events with the 4 of them. Her body language repeatedly showed she did not like at least 45. She never looked at him when it would have been appropriate to do so. At that point I also concluded her husband didn’t like him too much either, or that he was thwarting him behind his back. He was the Brutus, I believe, playing out a role which culminated on 1.6.
Yes, it was weird. For a long time, I figured she was jealous of Melania, and just didn’t like the Trumps. Could be. But when she and Melania did some events alone without the guys, Karen often looked more comfortable.
Surely you’re right that Pence was Brutus – which would have made it hard for Karen to act normal around POTUS, whether she agreed with the coup or not. Could’ve been genuine distaste for Trump, or could’ve been guilt.
We just can’t be sure. I remember a few photos taken of me, where I looked like an unhappy wench in occasions which otherwise should’ve been pleasant. It was always because of the guy I was with, and I’m apparently no good at pretending.
Probably TMI, but for what it’s worth. At any rate, I have trouble casting stones at my age, and with all I’ve seen which is not what it appears on the surface, unless I’m absolutely certain the target is guilty.
Based on her conversations with hubby, I just don’t think she could cover up her feelings. It was obvious she wasn’t happy. Granted the source of her unhappiness could be many different things. Maybe she didn’t like leaving IN and being in DC and her husband traveling alot. Yes. We don’t know, but what ever it was it appeared, based on the body language I keening watched for 1-2 years, that her distaste of vented towards 45. She distanced herself in ever way possible – physically from Trumps in photo ops, never interacted or connected via looking at them or speaking to them. She put up a firewall. I think it was a conflict of interest. Her husband was trying to straddle the fence, serve 2 masters – GOPe & Trump. It didn’t work. Very sad and we the people suffered as did 45.
Remember the big deal Pence made of not being alone with any woman other than his wife? Makes one wonder where that started. Maybe Karen knew he wasn’t trustworthy. Just sayin’ – but of course we can only speculate. Odd birds, for sure.

Politicians will protect the FBI and DoJ because they fear being blamed if any sort of terrorist incident happened after cutbacks, controls, or efective oversight. The DoJ/FBI will exploit that fear to the max (and will stage false flag ops to up the ante). For these reasons, outright closing the FBI is not tactically viable from a political standpoint. The more practical approach, if topping abuse is the objective, is to revise the Patriot Act to put the Counterintelligence function in other hands, and devise some form of checks and balances to prevent politicization. Maybe that isn’t possible long term, since people working in relative secret will ALWAYS devise ways to misbehave.

I think we need to think hard about dismantling the FBI, if we simultaneously allow the uniparty to simultaneously implement a highly armed federal quasi-military police force in the form of 87,000 armed IRS agents and federal capitol police offices in every state.

I can’t finish it. The distinction between decisions made by a corrupt leadership, and the rank and file agents who “follow orders” and implement those decisions, is a false distinction and is without substance. In the end, each of us, including rank and file FBI agents, makes our own decisions daily as to who we are and who we will be, and each of us must live with the results of those daily decisions.
What we learned from both Uvalde and the Mar -A – Lago raid is that law enforcement agencies from the FBI to local police departments are filled with WAY too many officers and agents who either have NO personal sense of right and wrong, or who do not have the strength of character or will to follow it. Either way, how to weed them out?

Last time I check the States have police forces. The whole concept of a Federal police force was to combat organized criminals taking over the local police forces and local judges, via threats and bribes, primarily during prohibition. It is interesting how the modern FBI, operating out of the District of Corruption, has been infected by the same problem? In fact, they now act like the very mobs they were created to fight against, only on a nationwide scale.
I think Dan Bongino did a great interview with a former FBI agent, link below. When you combine his experience on who is a legit ‘constitutionally’ controlled agent and one that is not, we ‘might’ be able to reform the organization?
Basically, everyone in DC is corrupt and must go, full stop. In short, 99% of the agents in DC give the other 1% a bad name. We know who the good ones are because they are the whistleblowers. Plus the DC strategy was to corrupt and then push former DC agents out to the local offices, infecting them as well. The former agent describes how the process works and thus the career MO will make it easy to weed these ones out as well. Once again this is how a mob works.
Another key reform is to get rid of the secret FISA court system altogether. Unless some group is attempting to smuggle a nuke into the country this has no place in the American justice system as defined by the Constitution.
Such an attempt is correctly handled by the Office of the President and the military under clear national security grounds.
Rolling up such an attempt before it happens is one of the few things ‘worthy’ of all tools (constitutional or otherwise) we have to uncover it. Using those same tools to spy on your political opponents and ordinary Americans in ‘search’ of a crime is clearly unconstitutional.

Once you realize that the FBI and the other “intelligence agencies” have blackmail on any politician with a modicum of power and ability to make policy, it all becomes much clearer. The FBI interferes with and warps national elections. It hires complete frauds as informants who are far worse than its targets. It humiliates or exempts government and elected officials based on their politics. It violates the civil liberties of individual American citizens.
The FBI’s highest officials now routinely mislead Congress. They have erased or altered court and subpoenaed evidence. They illegally leak confidential material to the media. And they have lied under oath to federal investigators.
The agency has become dangerous to Americans and an existential threat to their democracy and rule of law. The FBI should be dispersing its investigatory responsibilities to other government investigative agencies that have not yet lost the public’s trust.

Marshals are hopefully still OK, unfortunately they take orders from…the DOJ. I used to work with both Marshals and FIB when I was a law clerk at the US Attorney’s office in L.A. The FIB agents usually had a ‘tude, the Marshals were great.
US Marshalls can be just as dishonest as the FIBS. Means justify the ends. I’ve personally been lied to in a work situation by a US Marshall. We were trying to work with them and they screwed us and lied. Learned a lesson that day when it comes to law enforcement (even local). Show me the warrant before giving out info. All it takes is one time to learn the lesson.
