Tonight, the midterm elections are held in Wisconsin, Connecticut, Minnesota and Vermont.
In ¹Wisconsin a lot of people will be interested in the GOP primary race for governor.
The republican candidates include Trump-endorsed MAGA candidate Tim Michels -vs- Pence-endorsed Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch for the republican challenge to current Wisconsin governor Tony Evers. Wisconsin has a strong establishment GOP club, and the MAGA team is at a structural disadvantage.

In CT President Trump endorsed Leona Levy just the other day.
Pray that President Trump’s endorsement is enough to cause her to win. We have a RINO on the ticket – Themis Klaridis – and two conservatives: Leory Levy and Peter Lumaj. Although you make my point, you make an equally good point. Couple of points; first, the raid was at 9am. Second, Trump was in New York at Trump Tower.
Third–and this is the biggee– raiding Trump’s hacienda was done PRECISELY to prevent him from being on the ballot in November 2024. If we can’t vote for who we want to, what is the point?

I would write Trump in as the write in candidate, and so would millions more.

We need confirmation that because Trump won’t be able to run it doesn’t mean that Trump can’t be elected via write-in voting.

So, just imo it seems like a good bet that Trump could run even if they convict him of something? No?
The only constitutional limit is the Fourteenth Amendment prohibition against insurrection, or having given “aid and comfort” to the enemies of the United States.
However, the mere filing of a charge of insurrection would have to be sustained by a jury before that amendment would apply.

Actually, Vermont was historically a Republican state going all the way back to the Whigs. They were always pro 2nd amendment. Leahy got elected in the 70’s and in 2001 Jeffords, who had been elected as a Republican in the late 80’s, left the Republican Party to become an independent who caucused with the Democrats.
Vermont was infiltrated by New Yorkers and liberal college students. Who knows if the voting machines have also played a role?

People don’t realize a few things about iPhones.
1) Don’t use iCloud backup it is not encrypted at rest on the Apple iCloud servers it is only protected by your iCloud password. Apple will turn over any iCloud backups if they receive a lawful court order to do so. Notes that are locked have an extra layer of encryption protection that even Apple cannot unlock (don’t forget your password). iCloud texts (blue) are likely heavily encrypted but SMS /MMS (green) texts can be retrieved by the cell carrier.
2) Backup to a computer via USB-A or USB-C lightning cable, make sure the backups are encrypted and set a strong long passphrase of seemingly random words which is at least 16-20 characters long. You can add numbers and symbols as well. Don’t use any birthdates, SSN digits, etc.
3) Enable Data Erase option (wipes on 10th failed login attempt)
4) Disable USB Accessories (prevents some USB hardware attacks)
5) Don’t enable Apple Watch unlock (useful with masking) and Don’t enable a second FaceID alternative appearance
6) Set a strong long passcode instead of a numeric one. Something 16-20 characters long with symbols, numbers and a phrase.
Here’s the handy trick few know about:
As you are handing a FaceID / TouchID iPhone over squeeze the side button and the volume down button (think up also works) and hold until it vibrates. You can fidget in your pocket while doing this. This puts the phone into Emergency Mode but it also locks the device and disables the biometrics. You must then enter that long passcode you created to unlock it and enable FaceID / TouchID to start working again. If you used a 4 or 6 digit passcode instead of a long alphanumeric one with numbers and symbols and random words strung together then you are not protected from a brute force attack.
Congratulations, you just made it extremely hard for anyone to easily access your iPhone. If you have a new iPhone with the latest iOS release it is far less likely to be decrypted. Even with those fancy government tools. They might be able to bypass the wipe after 10 attempts but they won’t be able to bypass the encryption easily. With a long and strong password it could take 100 thousand years or more using the worlds fastest computers brute force attacking many times a second guessing the password. Having an older iPhone more than a 3 years old may be risky, not keeping it up-to-date might leave an exploit that could be used to unlock it.
Remember, nothing digital nor software based is entirely secure. Nothing is entirely secure. There is almost always a way to crack hardware and software but at this level, it’s extremely difficult.
Lot a work. Just use post it notes. Start stuffing your mouth full and swallow when you hear the magic words ” HI I’m your friendly fbi agent and I’m here to help you”

In my little township, we usually have less than 100 vote for a primary. My husband and I were 133 & 134 and there were more people behind us. Great turnout for a primary in Wisconsin!

In Arizona we usually have around 27% participation by registered voters in nor Presidential election year primaries. We are at 35% in this one, and the Republicans voted in numbers 40% higher than Democrats.

Voted today in WI. Spent more time that ever researching the candidates, some crowded tickets.
I did research, too, but some of the choices were like a rock and hard place. All their websites say what they think we want them to say. I did my best and voted for Trump’s endorsed candidates and I’m hoping that the “splitter strategy” doesn’t work!
I’ll say I didn’t vote for any current politicians other than a couple running unopposed, and Ron Johnson. Haven’t been happy with a few of his votes lately but big no on the guy running against him.

The polling in Wisconsin suggested a close race. It may not be that close at all if this continues.
Kleefish simply did not perform strongly in those early dumps and Michels keeps plucking off key counties.

My township uses paper ballots. New machine to feed the ballot into this year, it didn’t give me warm fuzzies. Used to be a simple ballot counting receptacle, then the votes were tallied by hand. This new beast was very computerized. Thinking I’ll volunteer to work the general election. Live in a very red area but don’t trust anything computer when it comes to the county or state level.

By all means vote, but who are we kidding? Yesterday proved that we’re going to have to take to the streets, probably armed, to stop what the other side has planned for our country. They are NOT going to let Trump run. They’ll concoct some reason unless we start showing some backbone and make the other side back down when they pull these stunts. And to do that is going to take MASS reaction. We need to make them understand that we far out number them and we have have far more guns. We need to make them understand that we own the streets … and their food, water and power supply. That without us they will live in their own filth. We need to be using a playbook from the other side and develop means to notify our side immediately when things like this occur so we can immediate form flash crowds to oppose them. Trump was wrong to agree not to tell his MAGA supporters about the raid until it was over. He should have announced it and let thousands of us gather outside Mar-A-Logo to intimidate the FBI back. To make them realize we are not going to stand by and just let this happen. Doing so is only going to encourage more such outrageous, lawless, thuggish behavior on their part. Not doing so will encourage them to think they can get away with a Second Coup. When the FBI demanded Representative Scott’s phone he should have refused. We all need to stop cooperating with these people. At every opportunity. As Gingrich said … “these are bad people doing bad things.” Now is the time to stand up … not once the coup is over.

How is that a myth?
Actually, we far outnumber them. There is NO WAY that Biden got 81 million votes, much less 60 million votes. Trump won the 2020 election. There are more of us. They cheated. You don’t disagree with that, do you?
And as far as armed force is concerned, there are over 400 million guns in this country and something like 95% of them (or more) are in private hands. That means for every gun the military, police, and armed portions of the government can field, there’s a 100 times guns in private hands. And most of those guns are owned by conservatives. You don’t disagree with that, do you?
And, all together, there are maybe 3 million people in the military, police and all governmnent agencies with guns. So if a third of American admit to owning at least one gun (and they do), we outnumber them by at least 10 to 1 in the number of armed people we can put on the street.
I sure you’re reply, but most of this people won’t do that. My response is that many of the people in government with guns could not be relied on to go against the American people either. I believe there is a law against interfering with Congressional papers and such.
Communications with his constituents would likely be covered under the Privacy Act.

Michels up 10,000 votes over Rebecca with 66.6% counted. If people had followed Trumps endorsement it would have been a walk away. Rathum has 4.9%.
