A Texas jury has delivered a financial verdict against Alex Jones, awarding two parents of the Sandy Hook elementary school victim, 4.1 million in compensatory damages and $45.2 million in punitive damages. However, Texas limits punitive damages at $750,000. The verdict comes after a civil lawsuit against Alex Jones for defamation relating to his comments around the Sandy Hook school shooting, and his claims of a hoax.
During the trial Mr. Jones admitted his statements were false and accepted the events were horrific, resulting in the deaths of 26 students and teachers in the 2012 Newtown, Connecticut attack. Mr Jones and his media company, Free Speech Systems, were sued his false statements about the mass shooting.
(Via MSM) – […] “Alex Jones is patient zero for our society’s inability to speak without lies,” plaintiff attorney Wesley Ball told the jurors on Friday as he pleaded for them to “take him out of this discourse of this misinformation, of this peddling of lies and make sure he can’t do it again.”
Jones’ defense attorney, F. Andino Reynal, asked the jury on Friday to return a verdict that is “fair and proportionate,” which he suggested was $270,000. He previously asked the jury to award no more than $8 in compensatory damages.
[…] The trial was the first of three in which juries will determine how much Jones must pay in damages to Sandy Hook families. (read more)
.
I did not follow the trial, but I’m assuming this is a tough verdict for Alex Jones. It will likely have a chilling effect for his organization.
Will likely be overturned on appeal. Judge made numerous errors.
First they came for Alex Jones…
You know the rest.
First, they deplatformed Alex Jones
The default judgement on an alleged discovery infraction was preposterous. Judges are supposed to avoid default judgements unless no other avenue is available. A negative inference jury instruction related to withheld evidence would have sufficed if any such improper conduct actually occurred.
Jones is deep state disinfo , at best.
Based on,….?
Based on he’s full of it.
If you had to choose to trust Sundance or Jones….like duh. No contest.
I can’t trust both? I’m not sure how long Sundance has had this blog but I’ve been listening to Jones since 2008 and he is right far more often than he is wrong.
Ditto. A. Jones’s problem is he goes from zero to conspiracy in 3.5 seconds. He makes it waaay too easy for his political enemies, unfortunately.
I listened to him make the Sandy Hook claims live and at the time was wondering what the hell he was thinking. He’s admitted to having a drinking problem and has been far more measured as of late.
When I watched the video footage of the incident there were loops of kids continuously going in and out of buildings and tons of crisis actors. Immediately after the event they tore down the school hiding the evidence at the crime scene. Too many questions unanswered. Was an obvious false flag on top of a real drill of some type. Yes kids died but many shenanigans on top of it all.
Just like some in Texas who claim the school that recently had been “Shot up” was closed permanently when Covid reared its ugly head.
I totally agree. There is way, way too much that just doesn’t make sense about that whole situation. Is it beyond belief to believe that the deep state won’t do anything in their power to take away our guns??? And lets be honest, every one of these mass shootings leads to loud cries of gun confiscation and gun bans. When we are all standing before God, and He reveals all the secrets, needless to say, many of these so-called conspiracy theories will end up being the truth.
Just like Bill Clinton had the Murrah Federal Building demolished shortly after the Oklahoma bombing … with almost zero investigation … and rumored to hold the documents tying Hillary Clinton to the upcoming trial of her Whitewater scandal.
I was paying close attention during S.H. In fact, Alex was very late to the party. He began covering because so many other people were talking about all the weirdness. And there’s a mountain of weirdness. Go watch Wolfgang Halbig on Bitchute. He was a government expert witness in school shootings. HE said nothing added up on this one. Alex interviewed him.
Yup, I spent countless hours on SH- and AJ was late to the party. Wolfgang Halbig, nationally-respected school safety expert questioned the narrative and did NOT buy it. And then he had police/sheriffs at his door, and was run off the road. Professor James Tracy, a professor of media studies at Florida Atlantic University, did lots of research on Sandy Hook on his personal blog (I recall he made a connection to Bloomberg and some kind of Mayor gun-grabbing group), and he ended up getting fired, despite being a tenured professor of MEDIA STUDIES (it’s his area of expertise).
Yes, that was Dr. Wayne Carver-and he even made an interesting comment at the press conference, something along the lines of “I hope this doesn’t come down on the heads of the people in Newtown.” I also read claims about Newtown being a spook town. And I think that guy who are talking about was Gene Rosen, who claimed to be a psychologist, was not a psychologist (many researchers looked him up) and the story he told on different networks totally conflicted and made no sense. And then there were the porta-potties which were on the scene, but had to have been ordered weeks in advance.
You are right. He does that.
Why would he push a conspiracy so probably false?
Maybe because it was an actual conspiracy and he was correct?
Exactly!
Drunk
Attention-seeking behavior. Offering content that outrages gets you more audience.
Like a child. Does not matter if the behavior is good or bad . . . as long as it gets attention.
Jones can be too little critical on developing situations, attention seeking/grabbing and self adertising in his approaches without being “DS iinformation”. This what the free press ntiipates. However, dems and the real DS actors have been getting huge free passes on malicious and intentional career/life destroying defamations since the 60s. Double standard justice again.
Maybe I’m a little callous but Jones may have hurt some feelings buffered by incredulity and my reflexive rejection of an idiot. An honestly erroneous conspiracy theory is [usually] not the same as being hounded by media to destroy your job by a long shot. At the same time he damages his reputation with erroneous statements.
You’re full of it. FNG telling us Jones, whose predictions have proven true over 20 years time frame, is obvious troll who’s against Jones’ 1A right to speech that’s offensive to others.
Jones was sued over actions against THIS family, not his past predictions. The First Amendment does not protect offensive speech that is both provably untrue, and causes actual damage to those being lied about. These parents who sued were NOT “crisis actors”, and their child WAS murdered. They were able to prove by a preponderance of the evidence (remember this was a civil trial, not criminal) that the lies Jones broadcast financially impacted them. The punitive award was because the jury was so disgusted Jones intentionally lied about a murdered child and his parents just to expand audience, an indecent act.
Yeah, the punitive award will probably get reduced, but this case won’t be overturned. Jones did it, and KNEW it wasn’t true, as he admitted at trial. He could have avoided this whole case by broadcasting a sincere retraction.
https://news.bloomberglaw.com/litigation/infowars-alex-jones-admits-sandy-hook-massacre-was-100-real
How on God’s green earth were they “financially impacted” by what Jones said?
If people you don’t know threaten to kill you, and you have to pay for security, and sue for defamation, you’re impacted.
Why were the parents threatened
is the law now that you must go along with the official narrative or be accused in civil court of being responsible for what other completely independent people say and do?
this is just pure lawfare for headlines. even without the ‘actual malice’ standard which exonerates Jones at the pre-trial stage, the case should have been thrown out just because Jones never told anyone to contact or threaten whomever these people are that seem to want to be famous for having dead kids and supporting national gun confiscation schemes.
also, it was a faked mass murder
“He could have avoided this whole case by broadcasting a sincere retraction.” -I M
No, not really.
The DeepState in particular and democrats in general didn’t give a damm what AJ was saying when the shooting happened. That all changed in 2016 when the InfoWars brand endorsed Donald J. Trump for president.
Since then he has been in the crosshairs of evil.
Regardless the LGBTPedo “judge” made it obvious she hated him and railroaded him, she should have recused herself-she was a joke and they’ve filled the Bench with her ilk
No contest, none whatsoever.
My homework, a con artist expertly mixes truth with lies , then your wallet or trust , is gone.
The Sting , best movie ever.
And your a complete and utter idiot.
Troll alert, ignore
thankx , newbie
Pretty sure we’re allowed to have differing opinions; most often based from our varying personal experiences. Doesn’t make someone who has a different vantage point a troll.
You are of course correct but I recommend you review some of the other posts by this person who apparently has not read SD’s rules for commenting.
This was Mr. Jones’ response, yesterday, after the first jury award of just over $4 million; and yes, he ends it by asking for money from his followers via buying his merchandise. It was nice to hear him admit his error though.
Rumble video, just over 7 minutes:
https://rumble.com/v1etprt-breaking-exclusive-alex-jones-responds-to-4.2-million-sandy-hook-verdict.html
Jones by selling products and merchandise is a step above donation beggars
My wallet? Never sent a dime to Jones, but I do like to listen to his opinions on issues. However, you see, I have a brain and don’t blindly “trust” anyone, (including President Trump, Sundance, etc.). And with that brain I listen and come to my own conclusions as to whether Jones makes sense on particular issues or he doesn’t.
So what you’re saying is, we should make YOUR brain illegal as it’s dangerous to our democracy?
(Some deep state goon probably)
Hal Turner & the fake nazi who organized the infamous Skokie National Socialist march were 2 government controlled “hate” spreaders. Allot of mafia/gangster criminals committed loads of crimes while under FBI control like Whitey Bulger/Steven Flemmi & Willie Boy Johnson. The last one the FBI refused to help the NYC DA in their case against John Gotti & his crime syndicate. “Getting Gotti” the movie revealed that. We see the FBI/CIA/DOJ etc as being very political and very criminal
I love how people that never listen shout out “facts” as if they are informed patriots.
What planet do you recide? Jones has proved more right than anyone.
Clearly he wasn’t right this particular time.
And what’s with the ad hoc insults? We don’t do that here. Commenters deserve respect, even if you disagree with them. Try offering a counter, or addition to the opinions and ideas presented instead.
At times I feel this way. Like he was put in place to make our side look bad. Even though much of what he throws at the wall sticks, he does it in a manner that gives those of us who are open minded and searching for the truth, a bad name.
He is like a caricature. He’s exactly like someone you would see being portrayed in a movie that is purposefully over the top in order to make it kind of comical. It’s frustrating. Which is why I could totally see him being controlled opposition. Doesn’t matter if he’s telling the truth. The manner in which he portrays it helps discredit our side.
He’s kind of line establishment RINOs. They are put in place to screw us, while simultaneously making our side look bad and Moronic.
The positive side of Jones is that a lot of what he says turns out to be true. I just wish he was better at delivering the message so people that are more in the middle would take him seriously and not immediately be put off by his delivery.
So I agree and disagree with your post, if you get what I’m saying.
And don’t get me wrong, it’s entirely possible hes 100% legit. But he hurts himself and our side often at times. Case and point, this very situation we are discussing this evening.
Yep
Bingo!
I believe it was Kevin Shipp, former CIA turned whistleblower who said the CIA uses a tactic to distract the masses. They have someone tell you most of the real story then their story goes off the rails at the end into crazy town so you think their whole story is bogus.
Alex Jones fits the profile of a media personality doing just that. Tells a story, then says something like “the govt putting something in the water that turns the frogs gay”.
I can’t say I follow Alex Jones. I don’t listen to his shows so I may have it wrong. He seems like someone who getting a lot of good info out there but there’s a taint to him that turns people off.
That may be all by design to draw the following reaction: “Oh you’re not one of those who follows Alex Jones are you? If you believe him then I suppose you believe the aliens are coming for us next or the govt is contaminating the water to turn the frogs gay?”
I think there are a lot of people in media/social media who the term “limited hangout” could apply. They tell you some but not all of the story.
If he is serving some dark hand or dark purpose, then a good question to ask is: “Why this and why now?”
he knows not to name ‘them’
Alex Jones has awakened many people, though I still suspect that he is a disinfo agent that works for MOSSAD. The judge was probably some libtard corrupt scumbag. I am sure AJ will appeal it and win.
He works for the CIA and is actually Bill Hicks.
Who knows? That doesn’t mean Jones is wrong.
Who sues someone because they have an opinion? Who does that?
If those kids were murdered, I would think their parents have more pressing matters on their minds than worrying who has a differing opinion of the incident.
I believe they doth protest too much.
Totally agree!!!
Either way, this Jones/Hicks lawsuit is used to frighten and ultimately crush anyone effectively exposing the dirty deeds of the actual regime in charge [“deep state” aka officialy, COG].
And that is exactly what this is all about! AJ is too much of a threat to the Deep State & NWO. Whatever your opinion of AJ, understand what has driven (& financed) this entire thing.
If ‘I told you so’ was a person…Alex Jones would be it.
Just like Robert Johnson [Bill Barr]:
“Terry Reed had been in frequent telephone contact with the man he knew as Robert Johnson. Johnson directed the drug trafficking and drug money laundering, the training in Arkansas of Contra pilots and fighters, and authorized Reed to set up the CIA proprietary in Mexico. At a later date, Reed learned that Robert Johnson was really William Barr, appointed by President George Bush to be Attorney General of the United States.
Reed’s CIA contact, William Barr, known at that time by his alias Robert Johnson, told Reed that Attorney General Edwin Meese had appointed Michael Fitzhugh to be US Attorney in Western Arkansas, and that he would stonewall any investigation into the Mena, Arkansas drug-related activities. This obstruction of justice by Justice Department officials did occur.
What else is new…
Thank you for the Barr source article … but I can’t help but wonder … with all this CIA power & Judicial control – how did bush41 lose to Clinton?! … was the loss intended?
but this is insane..that kind 0f m0mey because he said s0mething 0ver the t0p!! This is the legal system and there will be a heck 0f a l0t m0re c0nservatives getting slammed..Y0u wait and see..
And you know this how exactly?
The other day I happened upon a conversation between Joe Rogan and another guy. During the conversation Alex’s case came up. Joe he and Alex have been friends for a very long time and mentioned Alex’s appearances on his podcast. He further mentioned that despite his on-air antics, Alex is right more often than not. He gave the example that for years Alex had been telling about epstein island and the going on here. He said he always told Alex the things he was saying could not possible be true – then the whole epstein thing came out… He said that was just one example of things Alex told him that has since been revealed as true.
I still don’t know what it is that Alex said about Sandy Hook that is the source of this, but I suspect the lawsuit and the verdict were purely political.
It’s because he is right more often than wrong, that when he gets it wrong he does that double down routine the democrats have perfected. This time it got him in trouble. And because he has been proven right so many times that when he is wrong, there are quite a few that refuse to believe the great Mr. Jones can get it wrong. Thus, some folks get called trolls because they questioned why this one was so hard for Alex Jones to walk back.
Past right or wrong actions are irrelevant. What Jones said (repeatedly) related to THIS case was that the murders at Sandy Hook were staged, and that the parents were “crisis actors”. After a number of these broadcasts, his followers began harassing and threatening the named parents. That’s classic libel/slander/defamation, not political.
Jones also made many avoidable mistakes during trial. He admitted knowing the assertions were untrue. He admitted it was an irresponsible act to broadcast them. He lied about having Sandy Hook texts on his phone, which the prosecuting attorney had sent him as part of discovery. He lied about having posted a picture of the trial judge burning, on fire. They caught him on these and other lies during testimony. As sometimes happens in civil trials, the defendant made his own defeat much more likely by what he said and did during the trial.
In an important way, Alex is no different from the rest of us. No human can save us from ourselves. It’s not a crime to be wrong but there is an implicit unconscionably to do so in a reckless manner without due regard or due care.
Add to that an apparent conflict of interest intertwined with efforts to monetize the error and you have the formula for a mess like this. Whether this arises from avarice, malice or stupidity, the result is the same.
For me, the bigger question involves the precedent this sets for wrongful media behavior arising from an apparent willful attempt to monetize fraud or cause harm to others. What does this forebode for media that does so in an apparent economically conflicted way?
There seems to be a pattern of instances in corporate media that look very much like the monetization of advocacy to enrich or protect the strategic institutional interests of their highest paying advertisers, be that a political party, investment or insurance firms or pharmaceutical corporations.
To do such things willfully via the apparent misuse of readily knowable wrong, misleading or conflicted information or narrative, or doing so to protect, increase or otherwise sustain sources of their advertising revenue, creates questions of wrongdoing that cycle between extortion and the monetization of fraud or otherwise unconscionably deceptive monetized distortion.
This becomes even more problematic when such operates in the corporate policy of the media entity. When they do so with guilty knowledge; when they knew or should have known; when they used indolence or simple negligence as a shield against the recovery of damages by injured parties, what then should we as a society impose?
Alex, in trademark spectacular and grandiose manner, however unintentional, has spotlighted an issue that desperately needs the attentions of our courts and the political will of our citizenry.
The UK Medicines & Healthcare products and Regulatory Agency just published deaths due to CV19 mRNA vaccination numbers from January 21, 2021 to July 22, 2022 (19 months) and compared it to deaths from all other vaccines (>70 vaccines) used over the same 19th month period.
If the report is correct, it demonstrates the mRNA/CV19 class of experimental inoculants caused 7,402% more deaths than all other vaccines and vaccine technologies combined over the same 19 month period.
It does not seem unreasonable to question the suppression of this information by monetizing media in a manner that serves the interests of their most lucrative advertising relationships or most treasured advertising accounts. Their apparent silence and suppression of such apparent facts protects the industry clientele who pays them, the bureaucrats who apparently collude with them, and the politicians who will apparently reward them for being the defending gatekeepers and custodians of dishonest and misleading narratives.
Such a tortious cadre collective operating a cabal actively networking corporate and institutional interests and their insiders are considerably more dangerous to us all than a mere experimental inoculant that is 7,402% deadlier than all other vaccines in use combined.
Neither Man nor Society can live on lies alone. That is on us if we do nothing about it. We should be terrified by such apparent racketeering and our apparent mutually shared failure to effectively challenge and attenuate its wrongdoing.
May I recall the faithful words of a great fellow American, Satchel Paige:
Jones was ridiculously stupid with his nonsensical claims and has no one to blame for his own idiocy. Years ago I used to try to listen to his radio show when it was on XM but it made me feel like tearing my own fingernails out with all of his lunacy. He is always trying to get attention and be in the center of controversy, but in this instance it looks like he exceeded his goal.
Constant interruptions. Like Hannity and Ingraham. Fake gravelly growl. The guy is insufferable. He’s also morally bankrupt where his marriage was concerned.
Who are you?
” Now let me interrupt you right there …….. ” — Its a meme for a reason
I’m sure you know the facts.
FNG right out the box full on body slam of Jones shows arrogance and moral superiority traits of libtards. They come here often to drop their libturds. Ignore them.
Agreed 100%
Jones is an attention junkie who will say ANYTHING to get views or clicks.
The jury got it right
Alex Jones didn’t knowingly poison billions of people like Big Pharma did. We do not have a system of ‘justice’any longer.
And unlike the fake media, he never lied us into a war, he didn’t lie about the stolen election, and he hasn’t been lying about the poison kill shots and encouraging people to get them.
So he doesn’t have the right to free speech? Do you?
Exactly. Alex Jones has an opinion. Boo hoo. It’s a free country, is it not?
The First Amendment does not protect opinions you KNOW are false, that cause others harm. Jones admitted AT TRIAL that he knew the assertions were false, and that it was irresponsible to broadcast them.
And given all that’s happened in this country and that we have been lied to about just about everything by the US govt and fake media, we should question EVERYTHING, especially when the narrative is oh-so convenient for the people who want to grab the guns.
“The jury got it right”
Another undercover Nazi against the true meaning of “free speech”.
It’s a shame we cannot talk openly about sandy hook. No one can speak about it without being labeled a hater or a nut. There are dozens of weird and strange events that occurred that day and the weeks beyond, much like Vegas. Sandy hook was in the wake of Fast and Furious. The left will stop at nothing to take our guns, And project veritas has on video from dem operatives that they do release crazies. But these aren’t the point, the school administrator that did all the intense research was who Alex wanted to hear – gave him a platform, the guy asked a lot of questions, made several good points.
So now it’s illegal to ask questions?
God help this country.
https://www.reformation.org/NobodyDiedAtSandyHook.pdf
indeed. It seemed very strange at the time, but I didn’t give it much thought as the general reaction was horror and sadness. There were many anomalies that have not been explained. There is a lot of evidence that this event was indeed a false flag
https://www.bitchute.com/video/ML0CXjJWi1Tu/
Wow! Thanks for posting. I had a couple of pdfs of Fetzer’s book bookmarked, but they have since been taken down. Yes, there were endless anomalies.
Las. Vegas
Definitely an inside job
And … the father (Seddique Mateen) of the Orlando Pulse nightclub mass murder (Omar Mateen) was/is an FBI informant!
I worked at a school that had a crazy swat team “response” to no actual threat on the premises.
It was bizarre to say the least.
We had practiced those lock down drills for years, but when that “swat team” burst through the front doors, the whole building froze. The front office was so startled, they did not even send out a signal.
I took this event as a threat, or a practice drill, for an upcoming false flag event. So I left that job, not wanting to be there for the real thing
It’s amazing how many “drills” turn into the real thing. S.H. had a planned drill 20 minutes away that same day too.
Yes, Professor James Tracey, a professor of media studies at Florida Atlantic University, who wrote about SH on his personal blog, did many posts on how a “crisis industry” rose up after 9/11 and how there was a business of doing shooter drills and other drills of mass casualty events across the country. Years ago, I worked at a school as a psychologist, so I paid a lot of attention to SH. When CT released photos, etc from inside the school, I studied all of it and this did NOT look like a functional school. When citizen researchers made videos of the images, a lot of teachers commented that it looked like a decommissioned school that was used for storage. There was what looked like damage from a flood with lots of mold around, disability violations, and everything was stacked up in front of the windows (kind of the way schools look at the end of the school year)–there’s no way that the school could have been functioning like that–there were fire code violations all over the place.
I was a city pool lifeguard in the 90s. We used to do mass casualty event training. I can see an industry of actors playing injured people for emergency response growing out of things like the competitions and training that I went through. Being accurate in behavior so a first responder can quickly triage whatever random situation you come across is very useful.
I am sorry it scared you but do you know anything about the tactics that are needed to deal with an active school shooter?
Hint: The “response at Uvalde was just about the exact opposite of what is actually required to stop the killing as soon as possible.
I share your general distrust but you really need to study all this a bit more. The false flag ops in these big events have all been by the feds over the last 30 or more years.
Sadly, there has also been complicity by some local police departments that are very vulnerable to woke political pressure since the chiefs of police departments are basically “at will” employees of the
city politicians.
Sheriffs’ offices thankfully are a lot different in general in that in most states sheriffs are constitutional officers who do not report to the county politicians but rather have independent authority.
It is true that some sheriffs are woke and their agencies reflect that usually with low morale and incompetence (like the leftist sheriff in the Parkland Fl school shooting).
Most sheriffs however are not toadies of the feds and in fact are our last line of defense by law enforcement against illegal actions by the feds.
I am the SWAT commander for my county sheriff and can attest he is a constitutionalist and strong Christian.
We understand the increasing (due to the continuing disintegration of our society reflected in the horrific video games that teens and younger immerse themselves in as well as that harmless “weed” etc.) threat of more mass shootings by the younger generation primarily who generally have little regard for or understanding of human life.
Indeed, you would likely be shocked by the many many comments found on the Uvalde shooter’s computer from “friends” in chat rooms and his own high school that flat out encouraged him and cheered him on when he talked of his plan beforehand.
Many of us who have gotten classified briefings on these incidents see through the lies told by the feds about these shooters. Many of us are also persuaded these broken teens (there is a very clear profile) are singled out, manipulated, equipped and goaded by truly evil federal
agents. There is just no way that many of these incidents could have occurred without such support.
Finally, the tactics we use for these situations are to destroy the shooter as soon as we can get to him or her. There is no time for dawdling or trying to talk an active shooter “down.”
Our deputies train a great deal on the fact that whoever gets there first (or is already there as an assigned place of duty) MUST move immediately to the shooter and kill him or her and that the deputy may well not survive either.
Deputies are all equipped now with rifles and Level 4 (good against rifles) body armor as the trend for these killers is to use rifles as it requires no real skill to be effective, especially in the close confines of a classroom. In fact, the Uvalde shooter had never fired any firearm in his life until he started murdering children in the school.
Deputies do not wait for back up and they do not stop to tend to casualties.
The local swat team was not aware of the incident that took place at this school. The “swat team” that burst into the building came from somewhere else.
That is a salient fact not clarified in your post. If federal, they had no jurisdiction anyway so your assumption of intimidation is likely correct.
The feds simply cannot be trusted.
So
“… Uvalde shooter’s computer friends – chat rooms – his high school -encouraged and cheered him on …”
was actually
“… singled out, manipulated, equipped & goaded by truly evil federal agents…”
Truly horrifying.
Was the Uvaldi mass murderer on psychotropic drugs too?
Yes, we should QUESTION EVERYTHING from our criminal govt and the fake media. Especially when they are using such events as pretext for taking away our rights to defend ourselves. Although most of the internet has been scrubbed of SH evidence, there are still SH documentaries on bitchute (e.g. “We Need to Talk about Sandy Hook” and “Unraveling Sandy Hook in 2, 3, 4, and 5 Dimensions). Videos on SH are also still available on www dot uncensored dot tube, and there are posts on SH at winterwatch dot net.
Interesting, I find it absolutely amazing you paid for a radio service and then listened to someone you despised so long you ‘felt like tearing my fingernails out’
Sounds like you have a major psychiatric illness that needs treatment.
You do realize most radio is free and you can always turn the dial before you self-harm?
Are people not entitled to their own opinions? What’s the problem, anyway?
It depends entirely on the opinion. You can’t say or publish opinions that you know are false, that harm others. That’s what the libel/slander/defamation laws are all about. This was basically a defamation case. Jones knew it wasn’t true, and admitted it was an irresponsible act during testimony.
Does anyone think the parents were as badly affected as they claim? I’m well aware of the Alex Jones reporting of Sandy Hook and I didn’t believe it for one second and wrote it off as a media stunt. Did so many people actually believe it and do significant damage to the parents?
He is a “right winger” and he said something people did not like. Therefore he must be punished. He must cease to exist.
I am wondering that IF the exact words spoken by Jones were spoken by a soft-voiced, but determined lady, maybe that difference from his growling style would drastically reduce the nasty reception by many of these commenters.
It would be interesting to read a script of several of his loudest rants.
And, more important than any other fact is that he is a right-winger, and we all know the desire in the Left to crucify as many of us as possible.
They sued because the damage came from his audience, not him directly. Apparently, they were harassed by people saying it their children didn’t die and it was all a hoax.
So. If someone says Tucker, Don Lemon, Laura Ingraham, Rachel Maddow talked about something on their show that made people make mean phone calls they should be bankrupted?
That argument makes no sense whatsoever. Charge people for harassing phone calls if that is happening. That being said disgusting as it may be people have every right to say right to those parents faces that they think it’s a hoax. It’s called free speech.
Interesting to see how easy people can shoo away the utter earthquake grief can cause people; especially the loss of a young child, at school. Most people do not recover from that type of loss.
Then to have complete strangers harass them for years, making fun of that grief, makes one wonder what has happened to humanity.
So can we expect the people that have lost loved ones as a result of the poison shot will receive compensation due to strangers ‘harassing’ them because they are claiming the ‘vax’ killed their loved ones? Rhetorical qsn!
If their children had actually died, I would think they had more pressing matters to attend to. Who cares what Alex Jones thinks?
I imagine it affected the parents as much as J6 threatened America with insurrection.
Useful faux victims.
Bingo!
I think you’d be wrong
When your child is murdered, in School no less, a child…
How can you be so flippant
You never get “over” it, never
Maybe not. My brother died in a car accident, his fault, age 17. My parents were sued by the other party in the accident even tho the guy only broke his arm and my brother died. That guy didn’t give a damn about any grief my family felt.
You deal with it, and you keep living your lives. Apparently these people are a bit fragile and saw the opportunity to make a buck off the death of their child. Shame on them.
I believe the parents may be looking for a payday but most importantly attention. There are an awful lot of Sandy Hook parents that think because their kids were killed they get to take away the 1st and 2nd Amendment.
Frankly, they have no claims to any special treatment or anything else – parents lose their kids to murder everyday in Chicago and no one cares, and everyday in Baltimore, Philly, etc.
If we don’t have the right to have opinions or theories different from what the MSM spouts then we are completely controlled slaves not allowed to have our own thoughts.
The left went after Alex using attention-seeking sad parents to shut him up because they must control all media and means of communication. Beyond that, the judge in this case disallowed Alex Jones the right to a defense.
Alex Jones is right most of the time – I question the response to any questions about Sandy Hook – what is the government trying to hide? Does anyone believe the official Las Vegas shooting story? I don’t. What about 9/11? Oklahoma City bombing? TWA Flight 800? Uvalde? When the FBI knew about the Parkland shooter and why they did nothing? etc.
Good post, Lulu.
Apples and Oranges
Much as I dislike her, remember when Ann Coulter got in trouble for making the same points about the “9-11” wives? Yes, these people suffered horrific losses but that does not mean they are above criticism.
Totally agree, Lulu.
And this needs to be bolded and repeated:
If we don’t have the right to have opinions or theories different from what the MSM spouts then we are completely controlled slaves not allowed to have our own thoughts.
They are basically telling us that we are not allowed to question the official narrative ever.
And bike rider Hogg’s daddy was FBI and mommy was CNN.
I resented the parents using their grief to demand my children being less safe in their schools – just because their child’s school failed to protect their child.
Gun-free zones are GUARANTEED safe zones for mass murderers!!!
Father ‘Parker’ comes to mind as a devastated parent. So called dead children lying on the floor in the school for two days.
What parent would put up with that. A cop responding could not even find the closed down school. Had to radio for
help and directions. Clowns dressed in camo gear in the woods around the school. I closed the door on this one.
As a parent I would have gone insane over Alex
Have you ever looked into the emergency response? The local air-evac company had 3 helicopters spun up and ready to fly. They never got the phone call. How many kids died waiting for help? Would that piss you off?
Totally true! Nationally-respected school-safety expert, Wolfgang Halbig, talked about this. Yet the parents have no problem with that??
I guess it depends on how you define “significant”. These particular parents were able to prove they had received numerous death threats from Jones’ listeners.
AJ started off by telling long tales years ago. However along the way he became more in tune with politics particularly world politics. He is the first person I ever heard use the term “globalist.” He has been right about several things over the years. But he went too far to suggest the kids at Sandy Hook didn’t die. There is a distinction between that and a false flag. Sandy Hook could have been a false flag but the children were killed regardless. It seems he conflated the two.
His 911 ‘Bush did it’ theory was also absurd imo…. he should appeal this ridiculous verdict though, and stop giving ammo to our and his enemies.
Who do you think did 9/11?
IMO the best documentary on 9/11 is this one–it’s very long (almost 5 hours), but totally refutes all aspects of the official story:
https://www.bitchute.com/video/Lp81hoFneM4z/
19 mujahadeen who the cia and fbi ignored or let it happen to go into another 20 year war
Thank you for your “imo” about Bush’s involvement in 9/11, but imo there is more than enough evidence that the Bushs’ both had plenty to do with 9/11. Alex Jones and many others have presented a lot of evidence on this and I certainly don’t see how this theory could be called “absurd”, but you are definitely entitled to your opinion.
Um, i saw stories where people dug for facts, and it was revealed that some of those Sandy Hook kids showed up as actors other events. …..Nuthin’ simple about Sandy Hook….
If you aren’t allowed to question it – that’s a smoking gun.
Yes. USA is all about questions. And comments. And opinions. It’s the American way.
And I think right away the CT police came out at a press conference telling everyone that they were not to question it and to only get information from “official sources” (as in the fake media and the corrupt govt.)
And I think Gov Malloy slipped and said something like “we were warned that something like this was going to happen”
And Obama flew the parents on AF1.
Please stop the insanity
All I know is that the parents, no one in fact, except the wacky medical examiner, was permitted to see their children’s corpses. I’d never accept that.
He has every right to think or say they are alive (though I don’t think he actually did that). The same way many people believe Elvis and Jim Morrison is alive or that JFK lived out his life on an island or that his son is still alive in hiding. Why would that be illegal? or even subject to a civil suit?
Correct amd he was probably drunk
The “strange things” list in the details of Sandy Hook is strange. From the “laughing off camera/crying on camera” father to the strange matter of the actor who played two roles as both a father and an armed responder. (people were able to track down this actor’s work and there was a short film where he dramatically “shot himself” with a revolver and rather that show any such thing, the film cut to a scene of an empty shell casing falling to the ground. That was hilarious — a revolver being fired followed by a shell casing falling to the ground?? What kind of revolver is that?
There was also the strange detail of no medical helicopters flying around and all manner of other things an expert on school security brought up.
There’s really something very wrong with Sandy Hook and also with Uvalde. The difference is that Texas isn’t allowing things to be hidden from the public as much and the the Uvalde story is crumbling very very badly. In the case of Sandy Hook, everyone was silenced into speaking against the narrative.
When you see things which are very wrong and you’re not allowed to talk about it? You know something’s afoot. Just like so many other things like “election fraud’ and anything related to problems encountered by people from the COVID19 injections.
The list of things we can’t talk about just grows and grows.
For those bot following – the judge is a rabid anti trumper. A rabid Karen.
Little to do with AJ, he will survive – this sets up Mao’s Red Army to silence and next imprison, followed by death to any speech that doesn’t tow the line
https://theinfowar.tv/watch?id=62ec4ff4b9d5f049268aa272
Exactly, Jones isn’t our representative in the war of good and evil (as Christ should only be), but THEY think he is. Just as Trump represented us, so they hated him, so they hate Jones.
Right or wrong, Jones doesn’t always mirror my feelings, though he does frequently enough that I patronize his podcast.
This does not matter to “them” (they who hate “us”). Because while we can divorce a man from his beliefs and judge him according to his actions, they believe that our beliefs and us are one in the same (maybe I said that wrong, I’m thinking as I type this).
They see us as the enemy because of our beliefs, we see their beliefs as the enemy, not them….until they act on them.
That judge is just a woman, once a child knit together by the Supreme Creator in her mother’s womb. But now she has chosen to tear down free speech and has made a mockery of justice. I don’t hate her, I hate her actions. Unfortunately, people on the other aide identify as their sins so when we hate their sin, they believe we hate them.
AJ isn’t always right, but for better or worse, he is our canary in the coal mine. As much as Trump was, AJ was there first and they’ll do their best to make an example of him. And I respect the hell out of the man for fighting, he isn’t perfect and he may be a grifter, but even in the face of all of this, he hasn’t stopped reporting about what they hate most.
“AJ isn’t always right, but for better or worse, he is our canary in the coal mine. As much as Trump was, AJ was there first and they’ll do their best to make an example of him. And I respect the hell out of the man for fighting, he isn’t perfect and he may be a grifter, but even in the face of all of this, he hasn’t stopped reporting about what they hate most.”
That was 100% on target.
I’m no fan of Alex Jones, but this is a precedent I’m not sure I can support. Do you not have the right to an opinion????
Not if your opinion is contrary to the approved demonic narrative.
Correct … best example … the left despises Suprene Court Justice Clarence Thomas because he refuses to endorse the democrats welfare plantations agenda.
In the 60’s we got beat to a pulp for having an opinion the group didn’t like. Now things apparently are more civilized. I kinda miss the 60’s.
IMO the verdicts will be overturned on appeal and/or some settlement will be reached. Texas does seem to be having some systemic issues of late, from the state house to the locales like Uvalde. Looks like the Communists have established a beachhead there.
If anything made the frogs gay , it was A.J.
Everyday the perverts currently in charge of our government outright lie over everything.
1. Illegal immigration is good for the USA = Lie.
2. There is no money to build the border wall = Lie
3. The elections aren’t rigged = Lie
4. Homosexuality is good and healthy = Lie
5. All white people are bigots, racists and terrorists = Lie
6. Global warming is real = Lie
7. The Chinese virus wasn’t created in a Fauci funded lab = Lie
8. Ukraine is a victim of Russia = Lie
9. Gun control is about making everyone safer = Lie
10. The MSM is unbiased = Lie
11. Joe “Touch and sniff” Biden got more than 30 million votes = Lie
12. A woman can be a man and vice versa = Lie
13. Abortion is not murder = Lie
This is just the tip of the iceberg, it is these people that tell their damnable lies that need to be held accountable with prison time and more.
Actually he was using hyperbole to point out the water supply is full of female hormones and pesticides that mess with animal sex hormones as evidenced by hermophradite and sex-changing amphibians.
It also more importantly affects humans – see the sperm counts in young men they are very low and dropping.
Actually I believe he was reading from a scientific study that observed changes in frogs in certain environments with increased level of pesticides.
Testosterone drops started when we started importing Chinese useless products.
Rachel Maddow, all CNN propagandists, NPR, NYT, the list is long. Where are the lawsuits for the propaganda that they spewed and still do?
This is a very pertinent question, they get away with it, anyone remember Russia, Russia, Russia. They are still doing it including FIB director Wray who would not admit Rx3 was a hoax.
There was a lawsuit against Rachel Maddow for all her propaganda and bombastic lies about certain individuals. The Judge ruled that because her show was an opinion show there was no libel or slander as it was not a news show.
Can’t imagine that Mr. Jones’ lawyers will not appeal using that same ruling, which set a precedent. Judges like to follow precedents, means they don’t have to take responsibility for their rules. Pretty sure the judge on Mr. Jones’ lawsuits has created piles of appealable reasons.
It was different from the Covington kids, because that was news shows spreading lies so CNN and the other stations did end up being held libel and paying huge sums to settle with the kids, the school and that one student who got the brunt of the news medias attacks.
I didn’t follow the trial either, but I find it difficult to see how they justified compensatory damages.
While lawsuits are often about hurt feelings, the courts generally don’t order monetary compensation for what should be addressed with an apology.
Put plainly, I can publicly and knowingly lie about you, but to sue me you have to show you suffered some monetary loss as a result of my lies.
I don’t really care one way or the other about Jones, but fear this will have a further chilling effectvon free speech.
Is what he did any more aggregious than pretty much any story in Natl. Enquirer?
They lie. They know they lie. Few if any who read the rag really believe the lies, and few/none are actually harmed by the lies, monetarily.
I always put Jones in the same category;
“My childs father is a Bigfoot/space alien/ Jfk.”
The elephant in the liar’s room is the Covid operation. Can’t swing a dead lawyer in that room without hitting a liar who directly or indirectly caused economic or life ending/threatening events. Epic stuff. Makes old AJ look like a pleasant sunny Sunday afternoon.
I think his lawyer sucked. His lawyer inadvertently sent a copy of his iPhone to the plaintiffs attorney who then leaked it to the J6 committee. AJ needs to get a new lawyer and appeal.
“Inadvertently’? How does a lawyer “inadvertently” send that kind of information to the opposing side?
I didn’t follow the trial either, but found this for later listening:
Alex Jones; Rumble v. Google; NYT; FBI Corruption; Trump Indictment Risk & MORE!
https://www.bitchute.com/video/gBfmG4r0zSNu/
“Attorney Robert Barnes gives a terrific analysis of the Alex Jones trial and how he’s never seen anything so ridiculous and totalitarian. He RIPS journalist, Alex Berenson’s coverage of the trial.”
I do not know this man.
What his gig is. He is repulsive.
But are you f-ing kidding me that, this was anything but horriying.
Playing devil’s advocate here… It’s moments like this one in the links provided below which feed the conspiracy theory. Robbie Parker, the father of a girl killed at Sandy Hook Elem, comes out prior to a press conference and is *laughing* prior to going to the mic. I can’t exactly imagine myself in this situation, but I can’t see myself feeling much levity in any moments immediately following this tragedy.
The below link is a combination of the Robbie Parker video followed by what appears to be an acting coach talking about how to get into character to be able to cry for a performance, which Robbie Parker appears to be using prior to speaking at the mic.
Perhaps the Robbie Parker guy is a complete sociopath and he felt that in order to come off appropriately for the press conference, he needed to employ an acting technique to portray the proper emotions that he was not able to produce naturally. Or maybe he was medicated in some way. I have no idea.
But when ‘regular people’ with a suspicious and conspiratorial bent see a father on CNN, who ‘should be’ grieving and inconsolable, *laughing* prior to a presser regarding a tragic event like Sandy Hook, during which one loses their own daughter, ‘conspiracy’ will come to mind for those who don’t believe much of what they see and hear in the media, and for them, “LARP” will come to mind.
I didn’t follow much coverage of Sandy Hook at the time, and did not see this particular footage until about a week ago in reference to the Alex Jones trial, but upon seeing it, it really comes off as strange to me.
Yes, I saw that one back when SH happened. Most of the other SH evidence videos have been taken down, but there are still some up on bitchute (“We Need to Talk about Sandy Hook” and “Unraveling Sandy Hook in 2, 3, 4, and 5 Dimensions”). You can also find some informative SH posts on winterwatch dot net and some videos at www dot uncensored dot tube.
He has the same right to speech as you do. Your speech may be offensive to him, and his may be offensive to you; but offensive speech is constitutionally protected. The lawsuit was about shutting down free speech the communists who overthrew America don’t like. Jones is theatrical, etc, but has a decades long track record of being right on pretty much all of his “conspiracy theories”.
And that’s why he was sued. His (false) hoax claim gave his enemies the ammo to shoot him down. In a fair court his appeal should prevail.
Reality, has left all reality.
I don’t give a !@#$ about his free speech.Blah, blah.
What is, is what is.
In real time, we are entitled to our opinions.
But if you are absolutely a lunatic fringe, pay the piper.
Let’s draw the line but never forget the dead children.
DEAD CHILDREN.
Honestly, hey Alex Jones, I hope you are wiped out!!! Bye.
Sorry grandma, you already admitted that you don’t even know who he is. So, at this point your misguided opinion is not really helpful.
Reading the sub-thread, I couldn’t help but wonder about all the hoopla over Uvalde, same state as the trial, bunch of kids dead, cops standing around, has all but disappeared from the airwaves and interwebs. Poof. If Sandy Hook had problems, Uvalde has problems in spades.
TBH, I only know of AJ because Millie Weaver used to do reports for him. I got interested in her coverage after Charlottesville. Never did watch AJ though.
I doubt he lies or exaggerates any more or less than any other media. The press has long been the leading liars, neck and neck with lawyers and politicians, in the nation. Their lies about the Covington kids were an excellent example of American mendacity.
IDK, I tend to be against feeding the corrupt judicial system and its liars. They suck our resources and our lives, win or lose. It’s a lousy system made worse by corrupt people getting rich off it. That’s America I guess.
This sets a terrible precedent..CRAzy!!!!!!!!
Yup! The message is: don’t question the official narrative or we will bankrupt you in our corrupt courts.
Please understand. While this is a “Texas” jury, it is actually an Austin jury with a flaming, corrupt, liberal judge who made dozens of errors. This is a Texas district court. The jury is corrupt, and there observers who heard troublesome comments during the trial. The appellate court around Austin will probably not overturn; however, when it gets to the Texas Supreme Court, I will bet 80-20 the verdict will be overturned and a new trial will be ordered.
The judge is a lefty loon based on her FB profile pics and some of the things she said in front of the jury will help on his appeal.
Seems like an easy 1st amendment appeal
“you said something that hurt my feelings!!!” so what
Jones is a public figure. Can we now go after all and any public figures who say things we don’t like? Especially media?
This creates a slippery slope indeed.
Quite.
Lawfare strategies are all about setting precedent for making it costly for you to defend your rights.
Technically unlimited resources of the State vs individuals with limited means.
Defy them and they’ll bankrupt you.
What If ” Operation Mockingbird ” was not only inside MSM , but inside ‘ alternative ‘ media too. ?
Like Jones or not, he is an example what will happen to us all for speaking out and continuing to counter official narrative regardless.
As one said of 45, “His kind must be destroyed never to rise again (sic)”; apply that to us all.
60,000 IRS are coming and everyone who voted for Trump will be audited. s/
Carrie D.: It’s already happening to the rest of us.
How were his statements defamation?
agree saying the murders were a hoax may be false but how is it actionable?
Can the FBI be sued for making false statements about Trump and many others?
I CUT THE CORD in 2005. Have no idea who Jones is! No comment!
Since he isn’t on regular or cable tv, cutting the cord is irrelevant. Jones is a syndicated talk radio host, who also owns a web site named Infowars.
For some reason, I’m amused by comments that suggest they aren’t comments. It’s like all the people in here who post “comment deleted”, which is in itself a comment. I delete comments too. No need to POST that I’ve done it!
That’s effing BS!
Had the GD fkg authorities across the board done their job and acted upon the MANY red flags and warning signs that the murderer exhibited for YEARS leading up to that horrendous day tptb would not be chasing AJ over some crap coming out of his big loud blabber-mouth.
If it stands, could set a precedent to allow PDJT to sure CNN using project veritas with CNN admitting knowing there was no there there wrt Russia collusion hoax
He was used as the trial run for deplatforming back when it hadn’t yet been normalized.
Hate him, call him a mossad agent, whatever. Next one will be someone you like.
This is what many on our side do not seem to understand. Alex was the first of many. When he was de-personed I saw a lot of “conservatives” say he deserved it because “his is a kook”. They never stopped to think that the same would happen to our President…now look where we are.
Amen.
G_d help us!
The “military” involvement of the US government in Ukaine will lead to a hundred if not a thousand times more deaths than at the Sandy Hook school shooting but there will be no outrage at the politicians who are pouring gas on the flames of the conflict. I find it obscene that neither the President nor his cabinet and nearly all the US politicians of both parties are warmongers and not seeking to be peacemakers. Why are there no loud voices in Congress and the Senate calling out for peace and the few that would being drowned out by the rest?
The lives and limbs of troops, be they Ukrainian, Russian or American, mean nothing to these people.
I am with Sundance on this.
I didn’t follow the trial and don’t listen to him.
I do think that this is indeed a slippery slope.
There was no trial.
This was judgement of guilty by a partisan extremist judge. A complete end run around the judicial system.
The jurors were then picked only because they agreed they could deliver big money to the parents.
It is and was a kangaroo court coming soon to your neck of the woods.
See VivaFrei for more info.
https://rumble.com/user/vivafrei
Thank you for pointing this out. Alex Jones wasn’t allowed to call witnesses. How could this ever be a fair trial. A lot of what the prosecution presented was cut and paste videos.
It was all a sham.
Back when SH happened, the questions were no different than Uvalde. The whole scenario didn’t make any sense and AJ only thought out loud. Why because he’s a journalist and broadcaster.
Going after Alex Jones is just a step in going after anyone deemed a “conspiracy theorist”, a purveyor of “misinformation”. The Sandy Hook tragedy had all the markings of the types of false flag events we have seen over the years.
Many of which had FBI involvement, in one way or another.
We know for a fact that many “shooters”, especially young men, have psychological issues, and were/are taking drugs for their condition. That doesn’t change the tragedy, but it certainly changes how I view them.
In my opinion, going after Alex is just part of the grander scheme. In reality, who gives a crap what someone else says, even on the airwaves? There is a helluva lot more damage being done with government support in mutilating children and importing criminals. Those in government are the real criminals.
This looks like the left are trying to define what is ‘disinformation’ – make it a crime and prosecute people for committing it – and – abolish free speech which they hate – all at the same time.
The weird part is they lie all the time about everything.
🎯
They do have a disinformation department newly created.
To my knowledge, this incident was the first topic to be entirely scrubbed and then banned from social media.
You were not, and are not, allowed to talk about it on mainstream platforms.
It became the justification for all the censorship was has followed in its wake.
Setting aside the character of Mr. Jones and his handling of the incident, this ruling is another precedent stemming from that event. It is another bad precedent which will be pushed to the extreme by activists and lawfare agents.
Without parsing the pros and cons of AJ, who I do not follow or know much about, it is rather telling but sadly very common nowadays (with so many “experts,” mind readers and clairvoyants who know the innermost thoughts of others) that so many commenters in this thread alone are doing exactly the same thing they accuse AJ of doing/being.
Ya gotta buy the ” Good ” tin-foil , not the cheap stuff or it don’t work.
Wow—that was quick—Exhibit A to my point but you likely cannot see it.
You should also take a minute to re-read the comment posting rules—just sayin’.
My thoughts? Starting with removing infowars app from app stores in 2017 (?) TPTB have been working on silencing Alex Jones for quite some time. Why?
There may be more truth than we are led to believe?
To this day there are many who believe Sandy Hook is a hoax. Just yesterday, I saw a meme stating David Hogg was a crisis actor for Sandy Hook and Parkland.
Why are the parents just now bringing litigation? Who paid for the attorneys?
There are no coincidences.
Sandy Hook, as with the Las Vegas shooting, had a lot of details that were very shady. I don’t think we’ve gotten the real story of either event so far. And likely never will.
To question something obviously fishy should not be a punishable offense.
Add to those 2 just about every mass and school shooting.
The Uvalde incident in particular reeks of federal 3 letter agency involvement.
As a LEO, I attended a briefing on it by DHS last week. When I asked how this flunky kid with no job living in a tarpaper shack could buy about $10k worth of guns, ammo and gear (he had 50 magazines fully loaded—he did not know magazines could be reloaded and had never fired his expensive ARs until he got to the school) the DHS agent said amazingly, “he saved up his money.” You could hear a pin drop as we all processed such a breathtaking lie.
…he did not know magazines could be reloaded…
If he loaded them himself, he knew they could be reloaded. If loaded stripper clips and guides were found in his ruck, he knew how to reload his mags quickly.
If someone gave him the magazines already loaded, maybe he didn’t know they could be reloaded. Also, reports by fellow students on his anger issues and bullying make him sound not very intelligent, so if he received the mags loaded, maybe he didn’t know they could be reloaded.
There is a paper trail of his ordering them but your point is well taken that he may not have been the person loading them.
This kid fit the profile of these teenage killers just about perfectly. His online record shows lots of violent video games (including some that actually have school shooting themes as well as bonus points for shooting LEOs), broken home with substance abusing parents, moved in with grandma who also was “known to the police,” cut loose from school after over 200 absences in 2 years, regular user of marijuana (that harmless drug), fired from part time job at fast food place for poor performance, lots of talk at school and online about shooting up a school, his nickname at school was “school shooter,” lots of anger outbursts.
He texted and posted what he was going to do after texting he shot his grandma in the head and his computer had 100s of congratulatory comments from others (many from Europe and other areas of the world).
They think it started with him being bullied in 4th grade because the room he went to and shot up was the same one he had been in when a 4th grader.
Given the disintegration of our society, there are thousands of teens out there with nearly the
identical profile. The internet is a sewer with many chat rooms etc. where these psychopaths have echo chambers that pump them up to think and do things they may not have otherwise if not reinforced by others.
We are finding that most teens today grew up with a computer and phone given to them by “parents” as a pacifier when infants and toddlers (yes that young) and babysitter with zero parental supervision as they just were too busy to raise their kids. Many of these kids were also abused in every way imaginable often by the “boyfriend” of the mother (and often the mother joining in the “fun”) with both of them being drug and alcohol abusers.
Most Americans nowadays are just “too busy” to worry about such unimportant things.
He also tortured and killed animals and carried around a dead cat which is one of the key indicators of a serial killer or mass murderer.
WOW! My jaw would drop to the floor.
You mean he spent $10k on guns instead of a car? Sure.
The scene from the movie Crossroads comes to my mind. You don’t have a car ? How you going to get any Pu— without a car.
The truck he crashed on his way to the school was his grandmothers.
You might be surprised to know that there is a tremendous change with teens now, even hormonal boys. Fewer and fewer care about having a car.
In fact, in my state the license agency has closed a number of offices due to the drop off in demand for drivers licenses.
They think in terms of ubering or “socializing” via their phones or computers. They also have drunk the Kool Ade about saving the planet and think any nonelectric vehicle is sinful in the religion of climate change.
I am no longer shocked when I patrol the halls of schools here (all the way down to primary grades) by the language nearly all of them use—loudly and without any apparent embarrassment. The F-bomb is seemingly used in every sentence now.
Of course it is easy to see how that has happened, given the same filth I hear adults using as well as seeing it online—even by self-professed “patriots.”
Virtue (as our Founders used the term) among Americans is increasingly rare it seems.
The plaintiff atty called for Jones platform to be destroyed. Told the jury they needed to destroy him. Well beyond what the jury should be told. Damages. Yes. But the jury should not be told to destroy someone as a deterrent. That’s a bridge too far. This is likely to be ap0eaoed imo.
Attorney summations of this kind are not evidence. That’s in every jury’s instructions. Of course stupid people might still be influenced, but attorneys are advocates. They are allowed to ask for too much from a jury. It’s not a basis for appeal.
Having sat on a number of juries, my experience is that it is not just “stupid people” who are swayed by inadmissible or non-evidentiary information they see or hear (in or out of the courtroom) Very few even listen to the judge’s instructions either.
Yet more indicators of the moral bankruptcy spreading through America in our post-modern world that has no time for God.
Yeap.
Last time I was a juror and we took a break some of the other jurors started talking about the case. It did not make me popular among “my peers,” but I loudly spoke up and told them to stop talking about the case.
One of the first things we were told, and something jurors are told over and over again, is to never talk to anyone about the case while the trial is ongoing — including your fellow jurors.
First time I was a juror back in my 20s the verdict was overturned because two of the jurors were talking about the case — in the hallway — while it was still being presented. Never heard what happened after that, but I knew all the work and time and money that went into that trial was wasted.
I’ve sat on four juries.
Each and every time the judge — four different judges in three different cities — told the lawyers beforehand NOT to act and/or put their emotions on display. One judge told the lawyers that they are NOT Perry Mason, and he didn’t want them acting like him, either.
Judges, if they aren’t leftist plants, will remind lawyers of how they are to act within the courtroom — if they start to play lawyer.
Free speech for everyone means people can be wrong. People can be oddballs and have crazy ideas.
Is tbere anything in the Constitution that says that people are not allowed to broadcast their incorrect free speech to the masses?
The MSM does it everyday.
I hope this goes to the Supreme court to settle once and for all that free speech does not mean you have to be right. Or that a gravelly or squeaky voice loses you your rights.
I am also seeing that this decision is sneaking in a group right to not be offended.
Those folks on here applauding this decision scare me more than Alex Jones idiocy.
“Those folks on here applauding this decision scare me more than Alex Jones idiocy.”

/\ That’s a fact, Jack! /\
AMEN! AMEN! A-M-E-N!!!!!!
For anyone that watched the news media on the day of Sandy Hook especially the very first hour or so the media blew it royally
At first they was more than one shooter, maybe two shooters with one or two running out the back door into the woods
then there was all kinds of disinformation going on within the first two or three hours and days
What surprised me the most was the media was on top of it almost before the police were!
Sandy Hook it’s an issue I’m still on the wall about but with all the things that the government has done that I’m not on the wall about maybe Alex wasn’t out to lunch
You sure you’re in NW and not NE USA? All your info correct…..
Local media that morning said pistols were used. And front door was shot out. And yes, black clad shooter ran into woods. Later that day chopper footage showed cop taking what looked like Mossberg 500 or Remington 700 from car trunk.
Autopsies were never released, that I’m aware of; so caliber never known. Could’ve been released since then, however.
CT’s 2014 laws in response to SH included millions for mental health. To this very day, from what I’ve read, CT has no mental health programs in place that the law provided for.
Adam Lanza’s mom was incredibly naive for allowing firearms in her house. She’d tried for years to have her son put into mental health programs. Don’t recall why he wasn’t accepted. I’d have been afraid to sleep in the same house with Adam that had firearms; even in a electronic lock gun safe.
Well I moved from NE Oregon to SD. But why change a name I’ve had for over 14 years now…
Forgot to say–I forgot about that trunk bit.
One part that is really weird is why did they tear down the school. Can’t find anything on the age of the school, but in picture it does not look that old.
Read the comments on the autopsy article–Seems no one saw any rifles, but they say there were rifles used. Even principal said he would have not let the shooter in if he had seen a gun. Rifles are pretty visible.
One other thing that was buggy to me–Never heard of a mass shooter shooting their victims almost a dozen times.
‘The worst I’ve seen’: Autopsies that moved veteran medical examiner to tears as report reveals each tiny body had been pumped with between THREE and ELEVEN bullets

Well we ever know especially with the way things are going now.
Yes, the media kept changing the story- I remember them saying he was wearing body armor, but when researchers pointed out that that was impossible (like maybe you can’t buy body armor in CT–there was a weird law), then they changed the story and said it was a fishing vest (so they are telling me cops can’t tell the difference between body armor and a fishing vest??)
I spent hours and hours on SH–I also recall Joyce Riley, host of the power hour radio show, had an ex-military type of guy on and he really did NOT believe the official narrative (on the guns/weapons side of things), basically saying it was impossible for a kid of his thin build to have been carrying all that weaponry.
And there was also something about the noise of the guns–I think they initially said that because of his Aspergers he has sensitive to noise, but then when people pointed out/questioned how he could have tolerated the noise from the gun shots, then the media added to the story, saying he was wearing earplugs.
Years ago I worked in a school as a psychologist, and I had lots of experience with kids with Aspergers, so I did NOT believe this story from the beginning. I also went through all the evidence CT police posted. I don’t believe this was a functional school–too many fire code violations, flood damage, mold, etc.
Anyone with Autism or Aspersers the noise would have had them going ballistic!
Then to think that he shoot most of the children over 10 times each.
Only two parents brought the suit ?
The injustice department also just paid out millions and millions of dollars to the parent of sandy hook also.
Now do Donald Trump against the USGovt lies. What’s that worth? A hundred gazillion?
There are other parents also bringing civil suits against Jones. This is the first one that completed a trial. The next one’s in Connecticut.
So what if he said things which ended up to be untrue?
This is nothing more than a money grab and to set the tone for
conservatives making “false statements” re the stolen election.
And don’t start with the parents who already lost a loved one
were so hurt and distraught over his remarks that they needed
to sue. I call BS!
The greatest hurt they experienced was that they lost a child.
To profit off of that loss is – I don’t even have the words.
Well said.
Very surprising Jones did a full 180 in court.
If you look closely at Sandy Hook, there’s a lot of stuff that doesn’t add up.
Very hinky official story. Just like Parkland and Uvalde.
Many details just don’t make any sense.
No good explanation ever comes out either.
The corruptors drew a bead on him and were not going to let up.
So Jones was sued for making false statements. So a precedent is now on record, and PDJT has some more ammo maybe for his lawsuit?
Dissapointed with Tim Pool comments about Alex. It is not about the money. The lawsuit was BiaS.
Alex Jones was nuts to say those things but I don’t understand the amount of money
People say crap all the time amd if it were my child I would go ape shit
But it seems the left never pays
He will never claw his way out of this
Punishment. He must be destroyed. He has unapproved thoughts. He said unapproved words.
“During the trial Mr. Jones admitted his statements were false…”
That’s the bottom line.
Is it?
Statements can be made under duress.
Plenty enough publicity, outside influences, and general shadiness involved to permanently cast a shadow over the judgement.
The phrase “admitted his statements were false” is an example of misdirection meant to cause the reader to think Jones deliberately lied and thus, deliberately sought to hurt the parents. What many people won’t see here, is that millions of people make false statements based on SINCERELY HELD BELIEFS:
“You won’t get Covid if you’re vaccinated”
“Masks work”
“The vaccine is safe and effective”
“People are born gay”
“The election wasn’t stolen”
Sincerely held beliefs that turn out to be false aren’t, or shouldn’t be, actionable causes (something you can sue or be sued over).
Excellent comment.
When one has the equivalent of a bazooka aimed at one, one tends to shout ‘uncle’.
He must have changed his tune because the first and only snippet I saw, he says he believed those statement to be true and then the biased activist judge went on an improper tirade against him.
I heard comments made by Tore Maras that all the real estate around Alex Jones studio is Russian own. I have no way of verifying that statement. Psyops is constantly feeding us a bunch of stuff but I remember thinking how odd he’d be in a Russian real estate zone.
China owns a myriad of property in America. Maybe even next door.

I haven’t been following the case closely either, but this seems like a decent breakdown of what happened, despite the source:
EXPLAINER: Is Alex Jones’ trial about free speech rights?
https://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory/explainer-alex-jones-trial-free-speech-rights-87782266
The key fact to remember: “Jones seemed to sabotage his own chance to fully argue that his [2A] speech was protected by not complying with orders to hand over critical evidence, such as emails, which the parents hoped would prove he knew all along that his statements were false.
That led exasperated Judge Maya Guerra Gamble to enter a rare default judgment, declaring the parents winners before the trial even began.”
Another excerpt to note: “Typically, the first question jurors answer at trials is whether the speech qualifies as unprotected defamation. If it does, they address the question of damages.
Jones’ trial largely skipped the first question and went straight to the second. From the start, it focused not on whether Jones must pay damages, but how much.”
I always worried about when people would say that sandy hook didn’t happen.
I like Alex jones, best of luck to him.
I followed the trial with Viva/Barnes. It was a joke. The judge was more Left than satan and didn’t allow the defense to submit almost any exculpatory evidence. Free speech was on trial. This whole suit was brought to silence ANYONE who has opposing views. Far-reaching ramifications.
Contrast and compare this to the defamation suit brought by Sarah Palin against the New York Times. The judges in both are biased and let their opinions be known. In Palins trial everything is dismissed. In the other he owes millions. There are 2 systems of justice in America, and they’re rubbing it in.
Thanks for risking it all for America Alex Jones. Most conservatives are too afraid of being sued to do that.
You were the first to get de platformed for a reason while others looked the other way and thankful it wasnt themselves being attacked. Until now.
He should do like O.J. and never pay.
Something tells me OJ has a special privilege that allows him to get away with that
I think most of OJ’s money was in his retirement package/pension which can’t be taken if I remember correctly
OJ’s move to Florida saved him from having to pay.
who gives a crap about OJ, not me. OJ is a loser and got off from a murder charge due to jury intimidation. Jones (IMO) got screwed for being politically incorrect
Seen a piece a few days back that his business filed bankruptcy.
Oberlin College STILL owes Gibson’s Bakery $36 million even after an appeal.
WTF?!
