Ever since the Roe v Wade decision, Republican candidates have had a great motivator to turn out conservative Christian voters and raise campaign funds.

With their #1 goal achieved, that decades long conservative Christian crusade is over. While other issues do resonate, none are anywhere near as vital as abortion.
Republican fund raising and Voter turnout among conservative Christians could see a measurable decline.
Let it go local.
I hardly think that’s realistic. The left can’t even raise a decent riot over this, and polls show that the only people motivated are the usual suspects – who always vote left anyway.

But coming out in massive numbers is no longer good enough to overwhelm the cheating.

I am seeing just the opposite! I am seeing conservative Christians rejoicing and being encouraged. I am seeing gun owners rejoicing and being encouraged. When people feel that they’ve finally been heard, they get more enthusiastic, not less.
In my opinion, I see a greater willingness to get involved now that, seemingly, the tide seems to be turning towards sanity.
I initially thought the same thing but read a piece by Josh Hawley, the MO Senator, that made me view it differently. In Hawley’s view, the religious conservatives will now have more influence and the corporate wing of the party less influence. Previously, McConnell and other RINO leaders could keep religious leaders and their voters on board by pledging to appoint conservative judges, and religious voters held their noses and voted GOP despite the corporate friendly policies that are harmful to regular Americans. The RINOs no longer have that leverage and are now going to have to answer to the party’s base on other issues. When you think about it, it is strange that so many southern, midwestern, and western states that are very conservative have RINO governors and senators. Hopefully Hawley is right and that will start to change.

The whole notion that defamation requires you to read minds and know the intent and thoughts of the people who lie about you makes it almost impossible to win a libel suit.
All you SHOULD be required was that:
-it was a lie
-the party who wrote the lie knew there was contradictory information OR
-the party who wrote the lie can not present evidence to back up the lie other than to claim “confidential” sources
At a minimum, the libel suit would force equal space at the same prominence of the story handed over to the plaintiff so THEY could write a condemnation of the story backed with the law suit.
AND
Full payment of all court and legal costs borne by the plaintiff
AND
Any financial harm caused by the lie to be compensated
And
A nominal punishment fine of $100K which multiplies by 10x each time another lie is brought before the court against the same plaintiff by the same party.

Check out Scott Pressler’s crusade to get people to register as Republicans. His effort has been monumental in educating and registering people in typically ignored areas. I’m not sure what his totals are, but his effort makes a huge difference.
No doubt thousands are waking up and rejecting the “woke” messaging. They are rediscovering freedom, accountability, American values. I welcome, and am grateful to all.
Some are our strongest and most vocal fighters…thinking immediately of Dr Malone, Dr Wolf, #walkaway, Dr Kory, etc.
Some just know something in very wrong with the Democrat party they grew up with, and don’t want their children brainwashed with gender bending ideology or pressured into any type of medical procedure.

The Republican party welcomes them, but the danger is that the “new recruits” are not ready to understand that the Republican party is just the Democrat party with a different face.

From reading comments, it appears to me that many here have lived a more blessed life than I have and I wish you all the best. I hope to never have represented myself here, as anything other than nothing much. I am not special or unique to any one outside of my Heavenly and Earthly families. I have made good decisions and horrible decisions throughout my life.
Dear Fr.,
I am very, very sad today. We are 63 million babies late. And one of them was mine.
I was impregnated by a former high school boyfriend, having had been passed out cold, after a night of drinking and when I woke up, he was finishing up. As simple as that.
As much as I prayed the weeks afterwards. I was pregnant. I had just divorced my first husband. I was 27, a Mother to a 5-year-old girl, taking classes and working fulltime. I rarely drank and was celibate for two plus years prior, to this chance meeting in a bar. It was a one-night stand because I would never see him again, after doing that. I didn’t know this guy anymore.
When painful, sickening things happen to you, by people you know, you just go silent with the shame.
After everything was taken care of, I finally gave in to going on one date with Pa, we worked together, long story, I didn’t want to get fired. He was the most respectful man I had ever known in my life and 6 months later, we got married by the Justice of the Peace. (To this very day Pa is still the complete gentleman he was 33 years ago)
I wanted a Church blessing, for Pa, He deserved more. The further I got from the abortion, the more I realized, what I had done. So many good things were happening in my life, I felt like a fraud. I started to get scared and anxiety ridden. I had everything the second time around, that I dreamed of my whole life. I knew God didn’t abandon me, I abandoned him. Everything was wrong inside me. So much sadness and joy, at the same time.
I finally approached Fr. A and we filled out paperwork for an annulment. It took a long time to come back from Rome, about a year.
In the meantime, in confession, I told Fr. E , everything, every single detail, about all of it. He told me He would try to help, no promises and went to the Bishop. We waited.
Fr. E called me into the rectory, one day and said that I had been forgiven and absolved by Bishop H. Pa and I were married by Him, on the evening of April 6, 1991, the 5 of us including our two witnesses. I owe everything to that kind, most gentle Irish Priest, He didn’t stay much longer at Sacred Heart of Jesus, after that and retired to Waltham.
I think of that Bishop and Priest today, who saved me from hell. But I cry because I had the misfortune of being born in 1961. The only thing “The Sexual Revolution” gave to woman was getting date raped. And to think those a@#$%&e feminists said it was the big ‘O”, we were getting.
34 years ago, I was told it was a “clump of cells”, and I believed it. I sure know better since.

To my way of thinking, this is the exact opposite of “imposing” any “views” at all upon the country. And, “that is the point.”
Perhaps the biggest problem that we have been facing all these recent years is that the Federal government has been the one “imposing” all sorts of things upon the States and their People, and that the Supreme Court has been personally writing law according to its own pleasure under the doctrine euphemistically called “substantive due process.”

Ukraine had the press embargo that they were withdrawing to protect their troops. But they finished and announced it a couple days ago.
Russia has been steadily, but slowly, advancing in the region for a very long time. This isn’t a turning of the tide. The city has had a bit of back and forth in the fighting, but this just shows the Russian progress creeps inexorably forward. Ukraine sorely needs a turning of the tide.
I am though surprised that Ukraine ordered a withdrawal instead of demanding they defend in place to the last, like at Mariupol. Maybe this hints that U.S. is now giving orders.

I am writing to urge you to use your statewide registry of Floridians who have taken the Covid-19 vaccine to immediately launch a full-scale investigation of health outcomes in vaccinated vs. unvaccinated adults and children.
According to the CDC, Florida is one of 27 states that maintains a registry of all residents who receive the Covid-19 injections.1 Any doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or other healthcare provider in Florida who administers Covid-19 shots must report to the state registry each vaccine recipient’s name, age, home address, dose number, and type of vaccine received.
Governor, you must understand that your state’s decision to maintain such a registry threatens patient privacy and invites abuse. Even if your administration has no plans to use this data to discriminate against the unvaccinated, future administrations may be inclined to do so.

Upon reporting the tweet, Twitter said it didn’t break the rules.
