As we move down the road things become clearer. Ukraine is not going to win the war. The 2020 Presidential election was a fraudulent election and people are going to go to jail as a result. Sadly, this is not unique. More blatant, but not unique. The younger generations are more concerned about others “feelings” than protecting their young. Judging has become a profanity rather than an excercise in wisdom.
Growing up, my parents did not choose my friends, but they surely restricted me if they saw something in a friend (or their parents) that they judged as a “bad influence”. Back then it was smoking or a manner of dressing or a friend being raised by an ill equipped grandparent who allowed too much freedom. Looking back, the friends that were off limits all went on to unwanted pregnancies, alcholism, drug use etc. Their judgement protected me.
Today, I see certain friends of my grandkids that exhibit unhealthy behaviors and tell my kids to steer them away from those friends and cultivate the more stable friends. I am met with resistance and accused of judging and lectured about needing to understand and be accepting of these troubled kids. They are more concerned about the feelings of other children than the healthy nurturing of their own and confuse acceptance with participating.

I’ve been thinking about making this post for a while, and I finally decided to make it.
At a certain point in my life as a pro-choicer, I discovered something: In order to be intellectually honest in my pro-choice thinking, I had to be willing to look around at all of the people I knew—my family, my friends—and be willing to say, “It would be okay if you had never been born.” And I had to be willing to say the same about myself, too.
And I actually was willing to say this. While my mother was pregnant with me, my father tried to pressure her into an abortion, and you know what I thought when I found out? I thought, “She should have gone through with it.” I was a burden; I made everyone’s lives difficult; I wasn’t worth loving or sacrificing for; I didn’t matter. I had so completely internalized this message about myself that finding out that I had almost been killed in my mother’s womb was no big deal. I mean, hey, it would have saved us all a lot of suffering. The cost-benefit analysis seemed perfectly clear: I just wasn’t worth it.

You are replaceable.” Those were the consequences of my worldview—the worldview which says that each and every child conceived in his mother’s womb is theoretically disposable; the worldview which can talk about “what you have to offer” and how “useful” you are, but can say nothing about the worth of the “useless.”
And I think our society has done a pretty decent job at living out that vision: the Vision of Replaceability. We don’t just treat the unborn this way. We treat the born this way, too. We give up on our spouses when our marriages stop being “useful” contributions to our lives. We give up on our families when the going gets too tough. We give up on our romantic partners when “the spark is gone.” We give up on our friends when we’re not getting what we “need” from them. We’re a culture of quitters. We love when it’s convenient for us. And people are often inconvenient; they demand our time and attention and care; they’re not perfectly suited to our desires the way objects are. So, we objectify them. We pay attention when it suits us and then tuck them away on a shelf somewhere where we keep the rest of our “toys.”
Is it any wonder that we don’t think that we matter? We’ve never seen it. Is it any wonder that many of us cannot even conceive of true selflessness? That the notion that someone might actually want good things for you and might actually not expect anything in return and might actually not just be doing it because “it feels good to do good things” seems so foreign and strange? Should we be surprised? It’s all we know.
And this is the root of the culture of death. This is where death starts. It doesn’t start in war zones or brothels or abusive homes or abortion clinics or execution chambers. Those are its manifestations, but that’s not where death starts. Death starts with people as things. It starts with “you are only as necessary as you are useful.” It starts with “you are not precious; you are replaceable.”
So, we leave ourselves with no resources when we are truly confronted with death. We have nothing real to offer to the suicidal, the eating disordered, the self-injuring, the depressed, the lonely, the abused. Nothing but empty words. We may say, “You are irreplaceable,” but do we mean it? Do we know what it would mean to truly mean those words? I don’t think we do. Not as long as we see each other as “choices,” as “options” in a sea of options. Not as long as we cannot honestly look one another in the eye and say, “It would not have been okay if you had never been born. You belong alive, and you matter, not because of what you do, but because you are you.”
And for those of us who call ourselves pro-life, that has to mean something. It has to mean that we see people as people; that we treat them like people; that we love them. Maybe the reason that the pro-choice movement so often accuses us of “only caring about fetuses” isn’t all unwarranted hyperbole; maybe they’re responding to the very real lack of true, genuine, selfless love in our society, and maybe we’re all in that battle together. How on earth are any of us supposed to know that that’s possible—that we could matter in that way—unless someone shows us? That’s where the culture of life starts: the moment when we discover that we’re loved.”
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my life, it’s that nobody cares. Whatever situation one is in, a few people will show sympathy, (a group that is ever-shrinking), a few more will say that person deserves it (a group that is ever-growing.) By and large, it is met with total indifference. Even the sympathy is fleeting: people are just too busy, too concerned with their own life and their own troubles and burdens, to bother with anyone else’s. I can count on one hand the number of human beings I have encountered, who could truly be said to care.
The homeless are treated horribly, like human cockroaches. I’m not talking about the junkies who trade their house for drugs: I’m talking about the one who lost his job and couldn’t make his mortgage, the one whose lease ran out and couldn’t find a new place she could afford, the family whose lower-level apartment complex was bought by the city and torn down and replaced with luxury condos that no one can afford. Those homeless. The ones with the cardboard signs saying “Need work” or “Need a job.” The ones no one will hire because they’re dirty, they smell bad, they have no address. The ones who have to be alcoholics or druggies or thieves, just because they’re homeless – whether they are or not.
Then there are the people in physically abusive relationships. “She deserved it because she didn’t leave him. She should have just walked out into the street with no money and no car and no credit score, nowhere to go, no friends. It’s her own fault for staying with him.”
The people in emotionally abusive relationships. “Who cares. He’s just Hollyweird scum, they’re all messed up. It serves him right. He deserves to be abused.”
The people trapped in modern-day slavery, completely in someone else’s power. “Just another Hollyweirdo, who cares about her. We have more important things to think about, like saving the country.”
Saving it for who? From what? What exactly does “the country” consist of? Is a country that is full of only people who think only about themselves, coldly living their lives for only one person, really worth saving? A people who sanctimoniously look down on and judge everyone else for any and every perceived failing? A country where it’s all about ‘me’ and only ‘me’?
Oh, but we have principles, we have values. Not the principles of expecting men who knock up a woman to provide for her and the baby, apparently. Not the values of coming alongside and succoring a woman who has made a mistake and done something stupid and is now faced with a choice: to submit to the culture that pushes and celebrates baby-murder, or fight nearly impossible odds to try and save herself and her baby. Not the principles of calling out abusers. Not the values of seeing a fatherless boy being tapped by a gang and inviting him over and talking to him and mentoring him. Not the principles of seeing and helping a single mother working two jobs and sending her kids to a school she doesn’t like because she can’t afford better. Not the values of love and charity and forgiveness.
Remind me what we’re fighting for again?
Much is said about the hypocrisy of the Left. So little is said about the hypocrisy of the Right: the ones who, in one breath, claim to care so much for the innocent babies being slaughtered, and in the next, denounce their mothers and ignore the shiftless fathers. The ones who trumpet that the Left is waging the real war on women and turn around to hungrily consume pornography and denounce women having a right to vote. (I’ll admit, I haven’t seen the old “we’re all created equal” tagline recently.)
The ones who proclaim “we’re all individuals with individual minds” and then make sweeping generalized statements based on demographics. The ones who claim to seek truth no matter how uncomfortable it is, but ignore anything that points out flaws in their own preconceived prejudices (redundancy intended.) The ones who sneer “they’re mentally ill, they should be institutionalized” and then throw hissy fits about red flag laws, and not trusting the medical industry.
The ones who shriek “believe them when they show you who they are!” and “they want us all dead!” but then post about “they should all just die” “it’s too bad an earthquake wouldn’t hit them” “put them on that island that tips over.” The ones who ruffle their feathers in outrage when the Left makes fun of Trump’s name, and then turn around to come up with even more obscene mutations of their own political enemies’ names. The ones who decry the moral outrage and anarchy of Antifa, and then say we can only win using their tactics.

It’s hard to respond to your post. I know it comes from real experiences of the failure of the church to provide practical charity. A man who now has a successful radio show related his experience of being homeless. He said that people don’t understand how hard it is to come back if you lose your home. He related how he had to stand by at the grocery store till 9:00 pm when the leftover fried chicken would be sold at half price so he could buy it and take it to his wife and kids. They lived in a pay by the week motel. Those were very difficult times.
Here we are at a critical juncture. The right to life is standing on a major victory. I have a practical suggestion. A lot of people do not know that tithing is not scriptural or required.

A faith-based center for pregnant women in Colorado was vandalized and burned Saturday, and authorities are looking for those responsible.
Law enforcement officers were alerted to a fire at Life Choices in Longmont that morning, and upon arrival they saw the building was on fire and had messages scrawled on it that referenced the overturning of Roe v. Wade, according to the New York Post.

In the larger picture, I think that Trump brought to the front the realization that “the Federal Government,” and especially “the Supreme Court,” is not supposed to be “the grand arbiter of everything.” That the 10th Amendment really does say something very important.
We’re supposed to be a union of “United States, all different.” We did not create a Federal level of government – let alone a Supreme Court – to impose its will upon the States. “In diversity there is strength.”
Roe created a fifty-year-long cop out for other levels of government. It swept everything under the rug and said that the whole matter could be “decided” by seven old men. That laws could be “uttered” by a “privy council.” And, if you read the text of the thing (and Casey), that’s exactly what it was: it looked like a law and it quacked like one.
On another level, if the MAGA Movement never happened we would have never met on the Tree House! So cheers to everyone!

And this also shows how poorly educated most are when it comes to the Constitution. Also, how they lack the capability to perceive that in blue dominated states, abortions will still be readily available to those seeking them.

If Planned Parenthood were being firebombed in Longmont, CO, it would be the biggest story on every media outlet in the country.

Seven members and associates of the MS-13 street gang have been convicted of sex trafficking in federal court after taking in a 13-year-old runaway and coercing her into commercial sex acts in Maryland and Virginia.
The seven defendants all face a mandatory minimum prison term of 15 years when they are sentenced in November.
According to an FBI affidavit, the girl ran away from a youth home in Fairfax in 2018.
She was sex trafficked for nearly two months in that year before she was recovered by the bureau’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking task force.
The trafficking occurred in Woodridge, Virginia, and Mount Rainier, Maryland.
She was also beaten on two separate occasions 26 times on her backside with a baseball bat — once when she was initiated into the gang and once when she was accused of stealing from another gang member.
The seven defendants — six men and a woman — lived in suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia and ranged in age from 22 to 50.

The administrative state for the better part of a century, and really dating back to the Pendleton Act of 1883, has designed policy, made policy, structured policy, implemented policy, and interpreted policy while operating outside the control of Congress, the president, and the judiciary.
The gradual rise of this 4th branch of government – which is very much the most powerful branch – has reduced the American political process to mere theater as compared with the real activity of government, which rests with the permanent bureaucracy.
Question is, why didn’t he do it much earlier in his term?
He trusted too many of the wrong people. His administration was rife with back stabbing RINOs. He took advice from RINOs like Graham and McConnel.
Should he ever get the Oval Office back, I pray he has learned his lesson and will boot any administrative personnel out of the white House who has been there since Clinton. and Obama. Then vet anybody who is being offered those positions prior to them being given the job. That would be a good start.
