Though it can be fun to laugh at B-B-B-Biden, getting angry at this moron is a massive waste of energy.

Many thanks for posting about this courageous man. Vigano is truly a stalwart enemy of leftwing radicalism within the Vatican (and elsewhere), as was the ultracourageous John Paul the Second.
Frankly, I’ve been unable to overlook the media’s strong preference for the use of the word ‘overturn’ in reference to Dobbs v. Jackson, something we even see in the good Archbishop Vigano’s superb, published remarks (unwittingly, I’m absolutely sure!).
This usage beautifully suits the leftist narrative by equating the 1973 Supreme Court ruling to a duly enacted federal law representing the will of the people through their elected representatives, which was certainly never the case here.
Admittedly, an actual law that the Supreme Court would strike down (or ‘overturn’) is a more rare and extreme act of government (and the media knows this very well!), although the Court’s striking down or ‘overturning’ an actual law would be fully in accord with the concept of the coequal branches that undergirds our Constitution.
In fact, the Supreme Court did not OVERTURN any enacted law called Roe, it REVERSED its own earlier, judicial fiat in a RULING called Roe that was erroneous from the moment the Court gaveled itself into session.
In sum, to use the media’s preferred term ‘overturn’ in regard to Dobbs loses sight of the actual truth, i.e. the American people, by their voice, had never democratically approved of the terms or conclusions set forth in the legal ruling called Roe, and furthermore, notwithstanding the media’s current, willful misrepresentations, Roe itself was never a law.
The media will, however, continue to use this legally improper descriptor ‘overturn’ for all the wonderful demagogic purposes it fulfills, although they do know quite well that Roe v. Wade was a ruling THAT WAS REVERSED, not a law that was OVERTURNED.

Interesting – I live in an island in SC which it’s main industry is tourism. Government intrusion into every aspect of the economy makes it difficult to separate political manipulation but if you were a gas station with large orders for incoming gas and you are seeing less customer demand because they are literally priced out of discretionary driving, then you are stuck sitting on inventory or having to reject it upon delivery at some penalty.
Eventually, demand must fall as people literally can’t afford prices and then you will see prices drop along with jobs.
That’s the conclusion I’ve come to. Supply probably staying the same, but demand dropping because of the costs. In the rural area I’m in, the amount of traffic going by our place has definitely gone down. Almost everyone has 2 or more vehicles, and 75% of them are probably gas guzzling trucks. In the Auburn/Lewiston area, I’ve yet to see an EV and the two charging stations I know of in at least 2 towns near me are out of order. Our “governor’ has spent millions on EV programs, and it seems like most of us are giving her a big thumbs down. The only place you’d probably see a few of them is in Portland (Cambridge North😆), but I don’t know for sure because we quit spending money in that city and county a couple of years ago.

Government debt used to be financed through bonds so you could say the bond holders (lots of foreign governments there) but with the government now just printing $Trillions of dollars out of thin air, that represents uncollateralized debt so I’m wondering how that gets factored?

It printed so much money it now is forced to raise rates but now those rates forces the government to service debt payments and it has no money. This winds up with the government borrowing money just to pay interests on existing debt.

There was a case in Kentucky where a 90 something year-old man was robbed in his house. The perp was laying in the front yard with six bullets in him. The guy went back inside and reloaded, and pumped another 9 bullets into the guy. When the judge asked him why he shot 15 times, the guy replied, “he wouldn’t stop moaning.” He was found not guilty.
I say she should keep firing until the perp drops. He was probably hit a few times in non lethal areas which might be why he didn’t fall until shot at the 6 times. She would have no way of knowing if some shots missed or there were misfires in those 6 shots.
As long as she didn’t stand over the wounded perp and fire shots into him I say she did the right thing.

ADVANCED AIR DEFENSE FOR UKRAINE
“US to Provide Ukraine With Medium-to-Long-Range Surface-to-Air Missile Defense System”

This air defense missile system has a truck mounted launcher pod for six missiles and target tracking radar. Some NATO nations have various versions.
The missiles are AIM-120 AMRAAM, like the air launched version. Maximum range is stated as 30 miles, and 85,000 foot altitude.
Ukraine has similar, Russian designed, systems that are probably running out of missiles.
The limited range means the system will be within range of the longer range Russian MLRS rocket systems if deployed near the frontline. That means shoot-and-scoot tactics are necessary. This means only a modest improvement in overall Ukrainian air defense at the front lines.
If the system is good at shooting down cruise missiles and short range ballistic missiles, as is probably the case, this may mean a significant defensive upgrade for key assets away from the frontline.
Every single weapon we send to Ukraine will wind up in a Russian lab so it can be analyzed and reverse engineered. Some because it will naturally fall into their hands. Some because Ukraine is so corrupt they will sell it to Russia.
