The general convergence appears to surround: •a possible raising of the age to purchase a semi-automatic rifle (definition to be determined) from 18 to 21; •new federal red flag laws and/or financing to state government to construct ‘red flag’ laws; •increased federal funding for mental health screenings and facilities; and •new federal background check requirements for gun purchases.

We the people, not Congress, need to decide who is an adult. 18? 21? 25?
A man is generally fully grown by the age of 25; but, politicians and the military prefer 18 because its beneficial to them. The military even accepts 17-year-olds; but, what’s beneficial for the Country as a whole?
Every State has different laws governing who is an adult for drinking, gambling and even for determining who can have intimate relations, etc.
What can be done in one State, cannot be done in another.

So now you have to argue whether keeping 18 yo from purchasing a weapon at walmart,

Up until the early 1960s, shooting clubs were found in most high schools, including NYC. Teenagers brought their guns to school, gave them to whomever was designated safe keeper for the day, and then retrieved them for target practice after classes ended. No harm, no foul. What changed? Go back to the early day of our country….most 13 year old’s had at least a rifle and knew how to safely use it. After the shooting at Sandy Hook School in CT, the state legislature appropriated money for beefing up the mental health care system. When CT ran into budgetary shortfalls, what did they cut…you got it…the money funding those mental health systems. So Sen. Murphy and Blummie are downright hyprocrits. Don’t fund arming teachers that can intervene early in any attack…nope kids are expendable and need to die to promote their gun grabbing agenda….evil but true.
