Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Thanks, GH! I could listen to such loveliness all day!
🙂
COME, HOLY GHOST, GOD AND LORD
“If you love me, keep my commands.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me.
The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
— John 14: 15-21, WEB
Today our congregation, with many Christians around the world, will celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit to the Church on the day of Pentecost. As part of the festivities, we’ll sing this hymn.
Wishing you a happy Pentecost, treepers!
And, shavuot sameach to you!!!!
Thanks, 5th!
🙂
Always found this reading comforting after Christ’s Ascension. Thank you 1530. His Spirit be with you.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with us all evermore, Amen.
Amen Betsy, and good morning!
Good morning, G😘 You sound bright and cheerful. All blessings to you, my friend.
Thank you 1530! May we be filled daily with the Holy Ghost!
I’ve been listening to a lot of choral Bach. A lot. There is nothing like him for a soul needing rest.
For Pentecost, I recommend his Cantata 34. There is exceeding joy in it.
Betsy, Bach is so good to listen to!
So many composers through the centuries have done their best work with religious texts.
I think I posted this before. It is all beautiful, but I especially like the section starting at 12:30.
For thou only art holy;
thou only art the Lord;
thou only, O Christ,
with the Holy Ghost,
art most high
in the glory of God the Father.
Amen.
Happy Sunday to you.
Thank you, 1530! I haven’t listened to that Mass in a long time. Those voices! And oh yes the section you highlighted.
I know the work is the opposite of this Mass, but my favourite above all is Berlioz’s Requiem. The most beautiful and serene of his compositions. Not any performance mind. But the one conducted by Jukka Pekka Saraste. In this one, which is perfection by all, there is a beauty which I can only call celestial. The trumpets at one point sound as I imagine they will when Christ returns. I can recommend it highly enough. I’d link if I could.
Thank you so much for the link. Music like this calms the soul, and who today can’t use some of that?
And the Bach I’m listening to is performed by the Netherlands Bach Society, a smallish group with powerful voices, each complementing but not competing with the other, if you ever have a hankering to listen to anything they’ve recorded.
Have a blessed Sunday, Treepers. Even in the most trying times our faith in Our Lord brings us through to His Blessings and His Light. I think you have to be there to truly understand this—perhaps be there multiple times before you understand that Our Lord’s love of us will lead us, will see us through. When times are hard, as they are now, I simply ask for guidance, I ask for His help in making the right decisions. I think the lesson to be learned (at least for me lately) is that when times are really tough . . . never lose your faith. Our Lord will always come through for us. Be well, Treepers . . .
Garrison, thank you. The Parting Glass always is a nice way to end the week.
The music for this Kyrie is very lovely. And the text is a good way to start the week. I’ll be playing the Kyrie tomorrow at church — a much shorter and simpler version, in English, for congregatiional singing.
Lord have mercy upon us.
Christ have mercy upon us.
Lord have mercy upon us.
Amen.
The Lord’s blessings are the same because the sentiment is there and that is what counts. Have a great Sunday! 🙂
Good morning, Garrison💖. Thank you for introducing to me The Parting Glass, which has, for myself, a deeper meaning. You are a blessing to me, and I hope, by his grace, that you are your wife will be showered with them in abundance. B🙏
Aww, shucks . . . Thank you for the kind words, Betsy, although now you have me blushing. 🙂 My wife’s decline continues. I’ve mentioned that she’s in the late stages of Alzheimer’s and seems to loose a little with each passing week. But with His help and the help of a really great country doctor I can care for her.
Re: The Parting Glass. The text, later set to song, has been around a long time, dating in Scotland and a bit later in Ireland from 1605. It has a deeper meaning for me too. The first time I heard the Face Vocal version, it spoke to my Appalachian/Scots-Irish roots. I’m told ny great-grandmother sang the Child ballads which means she probably knew The Parting Glass. I love the sentiment it expresses. It just seemed to fit well as a Sunday benediction for us. Be well and be blessed, Betsy.
It does fit. Exceedingly well. And this version speaks to me also, both vocally and with the heart rending Celtic (Gaelic?) instruments. My memories come to the fore with the hearing of it.
There are no words I can offer to you, except to say every day I am acutely aware of the situation you and your wife are in. You both are always in my prayers. As with ms Idaho, I am so glad you have a doctor who is of the old school variety. My dad was one of those. And as we descend in the eyes of the medical/pharma complex from human beings to hackable lab rats instead of souls in the bodies made in His image, the importance of medics who still
understand medicine as a calling only increases. That you and she have a compassionate doctor is one of those very special blessings. I hope when we have to face what all people face, we, too, will be fortunate enough to find one.
Our Shepherd and His Father will never leave you, though I know sometimes it feels as if you are facing things alone. And of course in our church here, the congregation is always with you in prayers and support. But you know this. Quite the army with a loving Commander in Chief in your camp I’d say. God bless you both, my friend🙏💖
So well said Bet! The art of practicing medicine has sadly been reduced to tablet waving button pushing and trusting without reservations the AI. In many cases not even taking more than a cursory look at the patient.
Numbers and income….that’s what we are for the most part. I see Obama(not)care premiums are due to rise, btw…53%… Subsidies going bye bye, right before the election …bets will be taken on the aforesaid subsidies being reupped. Because of course they will be. In the meantime our Part B we’ve just been notified are going up significantly as of now.
Still, G, so glad not to have to rely on the British NHS, which, simply put, is not fit for purpose.
Thank you, Betsy. 🙂
You are welcome always😘
Good morning Garrison, many blessings back at you and your bride!
Thanks, G. And blessings to you and your’s, also. 🙂
God Bless America 🙂
Thanks Jay. Thanks for the music. God bless America.
🙂
Good bless-ed morning to you, Mr jay💖
Blessings upon your house 🙂
Oh jay!! Thank you! How lovely is this picture? What a small miracle is the hummingbird? Said in the most sincere way, bless your big ole heart. 🤗
Morning jay!
🙂
Good on ‘ya, Jay. Thanks! 🙂
🙂
A song that has not been given it’s fair due.
And yes, I do have the vinyl copy. One of my most prized.
Thanx BDNB…had an old TDK cassette tape of that album and wore it out.It got destroyed in a brutal roll over accident down in Baja between Ensenada and La Fonda back in the 80’s.Memories… Blessings to all this Pentacost Sunday. 🙂
Good bless-ed Sunday morning, Casco💖 You may find this odd but for some reason, you were on my mind first thing this morning. I pray you and your family are well. I’m hoping this day finds you at home for a well deserved rest, and that you aren’t just checking in before you don your hard hat for mine duties. Blessings to you, good sir and my friend🙏Bet
Top of the mornin’ to you Bet!!! I’m glad to see you posting again after your little “break”.I usually only have the time to cruise through and read some prayers, and admit I was somewhat concerned for you the other day when I noticed most of our friends were here, but you weren’t.I am very glad you were just taking a “breather”.
I just have some running around to do today…dropping off materials and stuff like that. The mine has been washed out and is flooded after the deluge we had yesterday…drove through about 3 feet of water to find that out…luckily got the old Rodeo started again a couple of times to make it back home.
Last weekend’s wedding was kind of a washout too.I was a bit disappointed with the whole affair, other than the hill country around Ocala was very nice.
May the grace of the Holy Spirit be with you and all of us today and always. 🙂
How lovely to read your reply, Casco. Yes, my little break was little indeed, never meant to be more than that one day. This thread and the friends on it are as necessary as breathing.
I’m sorry the wedding wasn’t as you’d hoped. I hope it was for her though. I rewatched Fiddler on the Roof a couple of weekends ago, and the wedding in the middle of it always brings me to tears, as I think when we see our children, godchildren…those we knew when they were small and now grown, we in the congregation tend to drift to those memories, realizing how fast time flies and understanding we can’t ever get those times back. Ah well…such is life.
I see Florida is potentially in for it this week, weather event-wise. I hope the impact, if it comes, will not be damaging. And I will up my prayers for all in its path. Don’t know what work you can do in a washed out and flooded mine, so I hope you’ll be able to lean back while it dries out. Enjoy your day, my friend, errand filled though it may be😉
Good morning. Outstanding. Thanks for that one.
Good morning, Levi💖 All His blessings to you on this Sunday. We’ll take all He delivers and give unending thanks for them.🙏B
Good morning Betsy. Indeed, perpetually grateful for perpetual blessings. And God bless you and yours this day and every day. Cheers!
Thank you so much🤗!!

God’s Say-So
He hath said…so that we may boldly say… — Hebrews 13:5-6
My say-so is to be built on God’s say-so. God says — “I will never leave thee,” then I can with good courage say — “The Lord is my helper, I will not fear” — I will not be haunted by apprehension. This does not mean that I will not be tempted to fear, but I will remember God’s say-so. I will be full of courage, like a child “bucking himself up” to reach the standard his father wants. Faith in many a one falters when the apprehensions come, they forget the meaning of God’s say-so, forget to take a deep breath spiritually. The only way to get the dread taken out of us is to listen to God’s say-so.
What are you dreading? You are not a coward about it, you are going to face it, but there is a feeling of dread. When there is nothing and no one to help you, say — “But the Lord is my Helper, this second, in my present outlook.” Are you learning to say things after listening to God, or are you saying things and trying to make God’s word fit in? Get hold of the Father’s say-so, and then say with good courage — “I will not fear.” It does not matter what evil or wrong may be in the way, He has said — “I will never leave thee.”
Frailty is another thing that gets in between God’s say-so and ours. When we realize how feeble we are in facing difficulties, the difficulties become like giants, we become like grasshoppers, and God becomes a nonentity. Remember God’s say-so — “I will in no wise fail you” (rv). Have we learned to sing after hearing God’s key-note? Are we always possessed with the courage to say — “The Lord is my helper,” or are we succumbing?
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
Awe is the condition of a man’s spirit realizing Who God is and what He has done for him personally. Our Lord emphasizes the attitude of a child; no attitude can express such solemn awe and familiarity as that of a child.
Good morning FC. Hoping this new day finds you both chipper and beholden. The attitude of a child. I read somewhere and some time ago, someone suggesting that when our souls ascend that it is our childhood spirit that ascends. While I can’t recall the basis for the claim, my immediate thought was “wouldn’t it be a beautiful thing to spend eternity in the innocence and joy of childhood in the presence of the Lord”.
Have a wonderful day. Cheers!
Good morning, Cat💖
Almighty and everlasting God, in whom we live and move and have our being; We, thy needy creatures, render thee our humble praises, for thy preservation of us from the beginning of our lives to this day, and especially for having delivered us from the dangers of the past night. For these thy mercies, we bless and magnify thy glorious Name; humbly beseeching thee to accept this our morning sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; for his sake who lay down in the grave, and rose again for us, thy Son and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
Good morning Betsy, Levi, et al 🙋♀️
It’s fun to play like a child sometimes. I enjoy making mud pies lately. When God makes muck….make something good out of it. I like flinging it around.
Come on over 🎶
Good Morning grandpa ❤️
As Corrie ten Boom’s own father told her when she was young, he was there to carry the heavy things for her until she was older.
But being older myself, as so many others are, I find the “heavies” are no less so. It is a blessing to know there are Shoulders much broader than ours to bear our concerns and worries, so that for those of us weighed down, we can say as CS Lewis did, “You must do this. I can’t,” and know without doubt we will be answered and it shall be done, if only we let go.
Make those mudpies, girl, and throw them as far as you want. It’s good for the soul.🙏😉
Betsy….have you been watching the Pageant at Buckingham Palace? It looks like Kate had to take Louis for a time out…..and the Phillips’ girls and Zara’s kids are turning everything into a party. 😀
Oooooo!!!!! How coincidental you should mention that, Ad rem!
We were just this second talking about that. And I mean talking about it and here you are with the question.
He needed a time out. Charlotte when she was his age did the same thing, and as then, I was appalled to see Kate smiling away.
So it was with great pleasure that a picture has been posted today of the incident, with his uncle, the admirable Mike Tindall, Princess Anne’s son in law, who was sitting immediately behind the little miscreant, eyeballing him with his two fingers pointing toward his own eyes then back at Louis. I hope you understand the picture I’m trying to convey. Louis got the message. Mike is a splendid no nonsense type, and he was right to upbraid the little tyke. Good for him!!! It needed doing.
And I completely agree with you. Those younger girls…Mia, Savannah (Zara’s niece) and her sister could have used a firm talking to prior to the festivities. I get the feeling you would have done it and I KNOW I would have!! Blessings to you!
Oh…and many thanks for that link😁
My pleasure Betsy. It’s been a fun week, and I’m going to really miss the festivities. I need my own block party! 😀
Go for it!!! I bet you could do a really great one😁…and yes, it has been fun. The Queen is much loved there. When she departs, it will be a dark day. The end of the Second Elizabethan age. And the hands into which the monarchy will be delivered are not, shall we say, ideal. Nor are the hands after Charlie’s it seems. Ah well….nothing lasts forever.
LOLOL….Mike Tindall must have been placed there to do guard duty! Zara made a candy run, but that just seemed to hype them up even more.
Skipping to the Queen’s appearance on the balconey…..THIS time Louis got placed away from the Queen. And Kate kept her hands on both shoulders He’s a real pistol!
Oh he was!!! Just saw a picture from today in the Royal Box at the parade. Mike was placed on “guard duty”, the two boys in front of him either side. He’s giving the stink eye to George, who looks as if he is behaving, but the little miscreant is within arm’s reach on the other side.
I tried to see the video in the DM of Louis throwing a right tantrum. He is actually hitting Kate in the face, but it wouldn’t load, worst luck. I didn’t see Mike anywhere….even “worser” luck… I may try again. Kate can’t discipline in public. But wow, it looks as if a little private time with a Louis is in order. I volunteer Uncle Mike!!
Edit…can’t discipline in public…or in private either it seems and is clearly obvious. Discipline of children, I must say, is not a thing Brits do in general. More’s the pity. I’ve got a thousand yard stare myself, felt by all my children back when and 100% effective. I’d happily hire myself out if needed.
😀 😀 😀
Oh gosh!!! It finally loaded and was much worse, SO MUCH Worse!!!
The little miscreant stuck his thumb on his nose, fingers outward, and wiggled them right in his mother’s face. She tried to contain him but he wasn’t having it. Then he kept hitting her, then turned and slumped in his seat dramatically, folding his arms. Not very good, Dear Louis.
And Mike Tindall was sitting behind him, but the back of little Louis’s chair was so tall, there was no way Mike could have seen the display, lucky Louis.
(Lucky Louis sounds like a mob boss’s name no?) Tsk tsk…
SHUSH Mummy! OMG…..these photos are everywhere.
Uh oh….sorry, I gave you the blow by blow before I scrolled down!!
Wowie wow. These pics are much clearer than the video! Thanks awfully for posting them.
I’d have to go beyond the thousand yard stare I’m afraid. Dang!!!!! I mean really! DANG!!
Kate and William would have been cheered to the rafters if they had removed him from the festivities. It’s a shame they didn’t.
ROFL….give it a while Andrew, and no one will be talking about you. 😀
No Andrew this weekend… It was bad enough with the Harkles.
I’ve been doing some thinking about my statement that Kate couldn’t publicly discipline the misbehaving child.
I retract that.
She has an absolute duty as a mother to discipline him, no matter where they are. And if she feels she can’t, then William should have done it. They have done him no favours by not.
Thank you for the conversation, Ad rem. This has been the highlight of my day, a real nice trip back to my happiest days.😉
Seems to be a whole lot of purple at these events…(NWO)
Good morning Cat, Bet, and Levi. Have a blessed Pentecost! Fixing to take Nipper to church while I’m doing the security today. It is also a Holy Communion Sunday so being there for both services I get a double dose and I need it. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
Good morning Gramps. Nipper and church. Now that is something I miss. Such a great way to celebrate the day. I am envious. Have a wonderful day throughout. Cheers!
He got me up a little after 6 this morning, chirping time to go to church. 😄
Security takes on a more powerful meaning today, G, per this past sorrowful week in the state we live in and which I thought I knew, but don’t. I’m glad your church recognizes it.
Isaiah 12 goes well with this devotional:
”1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.”
Perfect for today ❤️
So much to unpack…thanks grandpa, Betsy, Levi 😘
Mornin’ Cat. Be well, darlin’. 🙂
Back at you and yours Garrison!! ❤️
Amen and amen.
Something different 🎶
He was alone so that we never are, nor will ever be.🙏

Good morning FC, i’m on a little late for me, incredibly busy day… got to eat my lunch finally at 1 am this morning instead of 4 pm yesterday.
Now its time for me to call the Dreamline.
Excellent concert… saw it twice. Getty made an heartfelt ending the tour for S&A as at the time he believed it was the last show for the Rush ever as they had canceled the 2nd show for Indy and rescheduled making it the last show for the tour.
RIP Neil

Celebrate pride? I don’t think so. On a number of levels.
A most excellent point. Thank you for pointing out what should be (but isn’t)obvious.
Sadly, what I am witnessing in the Christian churches and congregants in my area is the new “It’s All Good” denomination. The Bible has been undergoing interpretations by pastors and churches who are adapting it fit the current trends. We need to get back to the real teachings, not post modern interpretations.
OS, it is for exactly that reason that I am now a Christian without a tabernacle. When my religion began adopting the “all good” path I bowed out. While I recognize my own flawed self-hypocrisy and pray for forgiveness, I will not subject myself to the hypocritic, even blasphemous, conversions of any Sunday sermon.
And I ditto your “A most excellent point” to Menagerie.
Well-said levi. You just astutely summed it up nicely, especially recognizing our own faults against their conversions.
Good morning Cobra. Hope you are smiling, surrounded by sunshine and immersed in love and laughter. Have a wonderful day. Cheers!
Thank you levi!
Since I alone will stand before Him one day to account for my sinfulness, while here, I am accountable for where I pray. I choose to worship where I feel closest to Him, knowing that when I do, He is with me to hear my feeble, unworthy voice. I cannot do so in a place where His word has been rejected or His “shepherds” there have chosen to turn their faces from Him. Blessings to you, Slowcobra.
Thank you betsy!
Ty Levi. I also bowed out. Like you, I have enough of my own hypocrisy and sins to lay out to the Lord. God bless you, us all.
My goodness Levi….you, like Bet and others here have a wonderful ability and a way with words,of which I am most thankful. You have described to a T the situation I find myself in…and why, unfortunately,I belong to what I suspect is a growing denomination of Christians in America…ex-Catholics.
I find myself listening to what I guess would be described as southern Baptist?…not exactly sure.Chuck Swindoll,Paster Steven Davies…I used to like also Ravi Zacharias,as his radio program was on directly after leaving early morning mass on my way to the beach for my Catholic boy weekly “mikveh” in the ocean.I miss going to mass… 🙁
Southern Baptists, Casco, are in the news this week for all the wrong reasons. I read an article this week about the history behind the abolition of the traditional Latin Mass. It was disturbing. And I thought of Menagerie…and now you. A supreme comfort now withheld, banned.
It’s gotten to the point where, it seems, we must ignore those who are false shepherds, and focus on the message. I had a wonderful rector and family friend when I was small, as I have said a few times. He was a God directed and faithful man. There seem to be fewer like him these days… alas.
Enjoy your ocean dip!!🤗
Not sure if they are Southern Baptist or not…I just listen to them on the radio…BBN. Perhaps evangelical, maybe? I just know that I like the message…how to live in the spirit of the Lord in our daily lives, like I used to find in the Catholic church before they went “woke”.
I know there are still faithful and holy men, laymen and parishioners in the Catholic church who still abide in our faith in a traditional way,but their numbers appear to be dwindling…Archbishop Vigano for one,and there is a priest out in Colorado? I believe, who I have heard.I think he is ex-military,and his homily about the government and topics such as how they are dealing with covid were EXCELLENT!
I’m a bit too young to have attended mass in Latin, with the priest with his back to you,but one of my aunts said that they loved it and miss it.I believe in some places they still offer that, but nowhere near where I live.
I am not a “fan” of our current pope, but out of respect of the church and my upbringing,I will leave it at that.
The wedding I attended last weekend did not once have the word God mentioned.I found this to be extremely disappointing, but to each his own.I mentioned it to a couple of my friends there, and they noticed the same thing, and agreed to it’s travesty.Que sera, sera…SMH.
No God? In a wedding ceremony? No good…no wonder you were disappointed.
Archbishop Vigano, he a great and faithful servant of God, refers to the “pope” as Bergoglio, never Pope. He is quite forthright in speaking about what he knows and I find it disheartening for Catholics that it is not Vigano who sits on the Throne of St Peter. I don’t know if you’ve read his many articles, but they are findable. Cardinal Sarah, another servant of God, has also been sidelined, which is not surprising as he serves Him completely, but has fallen out of “favour” with the current Vatican.
But the Word of God is the Word of God and I’m sorry that churches seem to have given it second place, if at all, in their adoption of cultish ideologies. And when I say I’m sorry, I mean for the flocks of the churches who were so badly let down during the lockdowns. No excuses, shameful.
I agree Bet.The RC Church is a ways from Benedict XVI and JP II. I’ve read quite a bit from AB Vigano, but not Cardinal Sarah. Will look into it and thank you so much for the reference.
Stay blessed in the coming week and I pray that the heat forecasted is not unbearable. 🙂
Catholic upbringing here too, Casco. Like you, I miss mass. I miss the feeling of fellowship. I miss the sharing of the word of the Lord. I miss the interpretation of it. I miss the tradition of Sunday morning that includes church. But I have resigned myself to the position in life, the stage of life and the I am who I am because of the way I was raised and I am content with that.
God bless you, sir. Cheers!
Agreed Levi…I miss the “comradery” at mass with our fellow parishioners, and celebrating together the word of the Lord in person. In the meantime,I enjoy sharing prayers, hymns, music and experiences here with you,Betsy,FC,GrandpaM,Garrison,P,Duchess,Sepp,Ms.Idaho,Jay,1530,My Magic Wand,Rah,Home Is Where… and all of our lovely friends who make a house a home.
Of course I would be remiss in not thanking Sundance,Menagerie,Ad Rem,Stella and WeeWeed for the beautiful forum that they have provided and maintain for us to enjoy in fellowship of the the word of the Lord… and Thanks Be To God. 🙂
Cheers, to your every word written.
You and the rest of us are what we are…individuals shaped by many things. There is a lovely phrase used in Britain that fits here, I think…”take me as you find me”. Which all of us do with one another.
The corollary to that is “speak as you find”.
So many times in my life I’ve listened to people talking of others and their faults or slights by another, and clearly wanting a validation from me that I find the same of said person….when I actually cannot agree with them.
How to respond without alienating the speaker? I simply say I am speaking as I find, and I haven’t seen that side of said person. It’s the only way to avoid unpleasantness or upset and pretty much stops the distasteful talking about someone not present. I really like that phrase.
Beautiful.
😊👍
You are as I am Levi. As I said to oldschool, there is only one reason for this. Get the behind me, Satan.
Good morning, oldschool. This situation is not peculiar to our country. Looking worldwide it is very apparent that God’s foe is marching across it, leaving footprints everywhere. No part is untouched as souls within churches are plucked like fresh dewberries in the spring. I am both bemused and horrified. “I am that I am” is not open for interpretation. Blessings to you.🙏
Satan is roaming freely. Stay with God.
Yes…easily seen now.
We are all back to front in this country. We’ve dressed ourselves very poorly.
Good morning Angus! Seventh grade I believe (circa 1971 maybe). A friend’s older brother took us to see ELP. One of my first concerts. Outstanding memory. Cheers!
If you remember it, it must have been good. Glad to hear
Levi you and I around the same age. I must have been a geek, my first concert was with my mom and sisters in downtown Cleveland to see David Cassidy. Really still enjoy listening to him, may he rest in peace.
Good Sunday Moring Everyone. The Lord’s day. Prayers delivered. May today be a day of rest for each of you, mind, body and soul. God bless one and all. Cheers!
Today is the first day of the rest of our lives.
Enjoy yours!
Good morning HHC. Grateful to be here. Have a blessed day. Cheers!
same 2 u!
Seems like the right share for this time and place.

I love Daniel Greenfield, Levi. He is a gifted writer. Incisive and on point in every article. Thank you for this, as I have not checked Frontpage for a while.
About time:
The “gang” is the Guardians of the Children. They are a non-profit “comprised of motorcycle enthusiasts that use motorcycles as tools to help children who have overcome child abuse, ages 0-17, become strong, confident, and courageous again.” They told the reporter they were asked to be there by the police.
https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/uvalde-victim-funeral-bikers
So of course the feds go after motorcycles, Cat.
Harley Davidson’s production of motorcycles has been completely halted, because of “environmental ” concerns. And probably because patriotic folk especially love their bikes.
Wanted to say, I saw your yesterday post re b12 with methylocbalamim. Checked mine, got it!!! Thanks for the tip that I could verify I already had it. It doesn’t usually work like that 😘
Oh good!!! Apparently magnesium is good for energy as well. Go on! Check your cabinet😁🌷💓
Oh and WATER!!!! Lots of it! I find drinking a full glass often in the day, and especially when I’m feeling a bit limp does help💓
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Have a blessed Pentecost
And a blessed Pentecost to you and Doc, ms idaho!
Mental hugs back
I hope with all my heart the Holy spirit will enter us all, but especially here.🙏
IMHO – the Holy spirit (I say Holy Ghost) not only ‘will enter us all’, but is with us at all times. Whether or not we are aware of that (fact) is another matter all together
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
Jeremiah 17:9
You are given a gift(?) in which you have the choice of pushing a button and getting a million dollars (if it was today instead of 1986) and someone that YOU DON’T KNOW dies.
What would you choose?
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

It’s a beautiful Sunday here at the Indiana homestead. I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday.
I thought I was better yesterday but was not. Spent the whole beautiful day in bed sick. This morning so far I feel much better and plan to mow and get some things done.
Yesterday we ordered the Rush Revere book set for my Granddaughter to have here when we get her on Tuesday for a month or so. She can take it home with her when she goes. She is 7 but is reading at 9th grade level so she should be able to read them. It really is fun to watch her sound out new words. She is also a math whizz.
Monday I do the Skokie route again. I took a vacation day on Tuesday to pick up the girls at the airport. Then on Friday I take my daughter to the airport to return to her Daytona Beach home and we have our Granddaughter for at least a month.
I have to get her little electric car charged, or at least try to charge it. It has sat unused in one of my sheds for 3 years now so I’m not sure the battery is still good. We’ll see. If the battery is bad I think I can pick one up at our local battery shop.
Another couple years an I will have to get my go-cart going again for her. I have a new engine and a variable speed drive for it. Just have to find the time to get her fixed up. Maybe this winter over in Steves barn because he has a similar project he needs to do also.
I am a firm believer in getting a kid behind the wheel of a vehicle ASAP. I started early on industrial carts and forktrucks and it helped me to be way ahead of most of my peers when it was time to get out on the road for real.
Just like a BB gun and then a pellet gun helps a kid to learn the fundamentals of aiming and safety with a firearm. Of course I had a bit of an advantage. I had an uncle that was a national trap shooting champion and competed in both pistol and rifle matches also. He had his own range outside and an inside trap for target shooting with 22 pistols and took me under his wing. And so by age 9 I was shooting trap and hunting squirrels and rabbits with Dad. I spent a lot of hours with him, some of it reloading the shot gun shells we had used up.
So when I went into the Army I never qualified less than expert with any rifle or pistol and got the Gold German Schützenschnur which is the highest grade of their marksmanship award. Gawdy thing.

So happy you’re feeling better, rah. Sometimes these little viruses knock us for six for a short time. Then, gone.
Yes on getting youngsters behind the wheel, if possible, at an earlyish age. Ours were fortunate that they had that opportunity on their father’s extensive lands. And after this past week’s devastating murders here of the 4 lads and their grandad, the sooner one can start educating our young in gun handling and safety, the better. We are, and they will be, on their own.
Prayers up for a good and smooth week for you.🙏
Thank you. Meanwhile my driving buddy Randy has torn his rotator cuff and it is looking like surgery for him. That’s about two months out of action for one of the best of our group of salary drivers depending on when he gets into surgery.
Oh golly. Does that increase the pressure on the rest of your group? Torn RC…not pleasant. I hope he doesn’t have to wait long, rah.🙏
Yes I’m sure it will add work for the rest of us.
RIP RUSH your legacy goes on, way to go Grandpa!
With you rah. Nipper is getting his driving training with his great grandma’s golf cart for now. When he gets a little taller he’ll graduate to a ranch truck, the same as his daddy.
His “Shorter Border Order” is a brilliant idea.

Happy dancing here everybody!!!!!!!!! I popped off my riding mower deck belt again and fixed it, all by myself!!! 🤞 yay team feral!! ☺️ ❤️ Cats rule, at least for the moment 😉
isn’t it amazing what you can do when something needs fixing and you are the only one available to fix it?
I mean, it broke and you need it to work. if you don’t do it right it still won’t work.
But if you fix it you get more than a gold star – you have something that works
ps – that’s in the rules book
Hi ms Idaho!!! 😂 exactly!!!!
Stay fixed and cut three more acres for a test. I remembered all your “ms Idaho says, lucky says, bunny says” mottos. Big big HUG 😘
I was looking at saved stuff on my desktop – should probably go back to posting my daily motto’s – stop feeling sorry for myself and get busy. What say you?
I had almost forgotten them. Oh yes!!! Please?
They are such an uplifting way to start the day!!! ❤️
If it keeps skipping off first check the conditions of the belt. Then check the tensioner springs are providing the tension you need. The check your pullies, they can wear out and their bearings can go too. If you get a new belt the ones with Kevlar seem to last longer than the old standard type. Better to change it out before it breaks.
😂 you’re funny. That’s like letting a monkey loose with a wrench and a car engine 😂 for the time being, I’ll let my mower mechanic do the finer repairs. I’d end up with extra parts. This go around it had just returned from spring tune up, new spindles and new belt so it was operator error. No pay attention to cutting build up on top of deck. Thanks Rah! You gave me an idea to raise the bar. Got a Deere I could practice on. You’re the best!!! ❤️
Happy late Memorial Day:

Lawn trimmed and mowed, electric play car plugged in, glider swing moved off the deck and into the yard. Deck swept. I even felt well enough to have a lawn mowing beer!
As I was mowing on the zero turn, which I pressure washed after the last time I used it so it looks new again and the underside of the deck is clean, a fledgling Robin fell out of the maple tree beside me. There he was his wings spread in the open grass where he had crashed looking at me. I stopped the mower and walked towards him, intending to shoo him into the grass I had already mowed. The little sucker got right up and hopped right over there and took off and flew pretty well over into the yard of the widow lady next door to the south of me with no problem. So I reckon that’s one that’ll make it as long as the cats don’t get it.
The birds have continued to eat me out of house and home the last few weeks.
Our home as well. So many tiny ones in the early part of the year then…poooof…gone! I wonder if they were migrating. Now back the normal crew. Jays, cardinals, mockingbird and a million dove.
Gotta get a new battery for the electric play car. Plugged in for two hours showed no sign of life.

Sundance, is it purposeful that the comment function here is so barebone? I don’t see any ability to find and revisit them, I’m not sure if there’s reply notification, and there is no grace period on editing them. There’s even no way to sort them by age, popularity, replies, etc.
Thanks.

Another bloody attack upon a Catholic Church was just reported in Nigeria.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/06/horror-least-50-people-killed-satanic-attack-nigerian-catholic-church-bloody-massacre/
There’s multiple denominations of Protestants who allege Catholics and the Pope are not Christians.
Why then are almost all attacks on churches worldwide committed upon Catholics?
Satan obviously sees the Catholic Church as an enemy.
Which brings to mind.
Matthew 12
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
