A very alarming set of updates from the Uvalde, Texas, school shooting has everyone starting to question what was previously said by authorities about the events.
The Wall Street Journal has some updated information that is extremely disturbing.
TEXAS – […] “Victor Escalon, a regional director for the Texas Department of Public Safety, said in a briefing that the now-deceased gunman, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, lingered outside Robb Elementary for 12 minutes firing shots before walking into the school and barricading himself in a classroom where he killed 19 children and two teachers.
Mr. Escalon said he couldn’t say why no one stopped Ramos from entering the school during that time Tuesday. Most of the shots Ramos fired came during the first several minutes after he entered the school, Mr. Escalon said. People who arrived at the school while Ramos locked himself in a classroom, or saw videos of police waiting outside, were furious.
“The police were doing nothing,” said Angeli Rose Gomez, who after learning about the shooting drove 40 miles to Robb Elementary, where her children are in second and third grade. “They were just standing outside the fence. They weren’t going in there or running anywhere.”
DPS officials previously said an armed school officer confronted Ramos as he arrived at the school. Mr. Escalon said Thursday that information was incorrect and no one encountered Ramos as he arrived at the school. “There was not an officer readily available and armed,” Mr. Escalon said.
A Border Patrol tactical team went into the school an hour later, around 12:40 p.m., was able to get into the classroom and kill Ramos, Mr. Escalon said.
Ms. Gomez, a farm supervisor, said that she was one of numerous parents waiting outside the school who began encouraging—first politely, and then with more urgency—police and other law enforcement to enter the school sooner. After a few minutes, she said, U.S. Marshals put her in handcuffs, telling her she was being arrested for actively intervening in an active investigation.
Ms. Gomez convinced local Uvalde police officers whom she knew to persuade the marshals to set her free. Around her, the scene was frantic. She said she saw a father tackled and thrown to the ground by police and a third pepper-sprayed. Once freed from her cuffs, Ms. Gomez made her distance from the crowd, jumped the school fence, and ran inside to grab her two children. She sprinted out of the school with them.
Videos circulated on social media Wednesday and Thursday of frantic family members trying to get access to Robb Elementary as the attack was unfolding, some of them yelling at police who blocked them from entering.
“Shoot him or something!” a woman’s voice can be heard yelling on a video, before a man is heard saying about the officers, “They’re all just [expletive] parked outside, dude. They need to go in there.”
Parents can be heard yelling to each other that their kids were inside the school and that they needed to get in. A woman can be heard yelling at a police officer, “He’s one person! Take him out!”
The Uvalde Police Department couldn’t be reached for comment. A representative for the U.S. Marshals Service didn’t respond to a request for comment.
Asked at the press conference why law enforcement weren’t able to respond in the initial 12 minutes Ramos was outside the school, Mr. Escalon said that was part of the investigation. “Our job is to report the facts and have answers. We’re not there yet,” he said. (read more)

I had lunch with a buddy whose son attends Sante Fe HS (May 18, 2018 mass murder), and he said yesterday was pure hell for him until he got home from school. Thankfully now, the school year is over.
Of course it was the Feds. No one else is crooked or cowardly enough to keep desperate parents from rescuing their own kids. What are Feds interfering with local LEO’s job? This stinks to high heaven.
d’man,
The “end of this road”?
NATIONAL RED FLAG LAWS!!
And guess who will be “determined a threat”?
Yeah…..
Best,
skipper
Addendum :
Does anyone here think that blood-bag mcconnel will “resist”?
Again, Yeah….
Trannies?
YeahYouRightaud,
Are you being sarcastic?
No, I don’t necessarily consider “trannies” any more or less a threat than any other “adult”.
I was thinking perhaps a concerned parent attending a school board meeting? Or perhaps a TRUMP VOTER?
I am old. I got nothing to lose and Heaven to gain. Bring it. I am tired of this and ready to vomit this rotten crap up or go down trying. A lot better men than me have given all for this country.
Besides,,,Grandkids!
d’man,
I’ll be right there with you. I have no progeny, but this country has been wonderful to me, my family, and ancestors. I’ll not go down w/out a fight either.
“Better men”, indeed.
Be well, my Friend.
Best,
skipper
Red-light laws are ex-parte proceedings a violation of the Constitution. You have to have a right to have representation in court, and face your accuser!
Same with guardianship hearings. There’s so much abuse and graft because it’s ex-parte.
No due process.
Missy,
It sickens me, the perversion of our “system”. “Innocent until…?”
It’s not right, but I don’t intend to surrender ANYTHING!
Best,
skipper
By 2030 you will have no children and you will like it.
Sarc. I suppose.
I’d bet good money you are wrong. Primarily because I have children and grands too, so, you are wrong already. LOL.
Absolutely physically impossible to achieve their foolish musings. They stroke their egos but if they come to my part of the country with this jive they will get to eat it. These out of touch atheist SOBs are light on common sense and totally devoid of the favor of God. IMHO.
“Pride goeth before a fall”. The Creator of the Universe is never wrong, so you can count on it. Pray my friends.
Yes, yes, yes! This is NOT A FEDERAL MATTER.
Why was G. Floyd mase federal? Parkland? All the others?
Was the perp really dead, or did he go into WitSec, and was that why US Marshals were there?
Sounds so much like another shooting where law enforcement refused to enter the building. Hmmmm.
Looks like they took lesson from Sheriff Israel and his clown posse in Florida.
Or instructions from the same Derp State.
Given the disgusting, anti-Republican and anti-Second Amendment demagoguery displayed by Biden and all his surrogates arising from this event, I’d hit back very hard with the narrative that the events in Uvalde, Texas were created by virtue of years of maddening, anti-police political campaigns and destructive witch hunts that were promoted by Dem office holders, thus creating policy and training protocols that effectively put police officers in greater fear of legal jeopardy than actual criminals.
In light of BLM defund the police campaigns that a shocking number of once-sensible officials have embraced, is it any wonder that policemen everywhere have lost their way and are now accustomed to the insane notion that their role is merely that of social workers (per AOC)?
Would that be a low -blow, political hit on our naive communist Democrat brethren as pay-pack for their gutter politics?
Not one bit!
🎯
FJB & Dr Jilly are supposed to travel to Uvalde to lead our nation in mourning and unite us. I wonder how many eggs will be lobbed at the beast and how many expletives will be shouted
Hoping Trump supporters will give them a big ol’ Texas-sized “greeting”.😤
Texas law enforcement is falling down on the job, between this and that poor girl kidnapped at the basketball game and lefr to be sexually enslaved until Oklahoma police would act. Filthy disgrace.
I’d prefer pitchforks and tar and feathers.
Yep, I’m getting really tired of delayed/denied justice/due process for law abiding Americans, and automatic release for criminals. Need speedy trial and justice. Tar & feathers are good.
So now we know who the real hero was….and it wasn’t the cops.
“Ms. She sprinted out of the school with them.”
My thoughts exactly. If an unarmed Mother can enter the school and save her 2 children, why the heck could not one police officer do the same. Damn chickens!
The entire police force should be fired immediately and the national guard brought in until a new force could be hired.
Feds wanted them dead. Same same but people won’t believe it- happens over and over. All about “Gun Control” for the NWO.
But her kids were in 2nd & 3rd grade, so how would they be in the same classroom?
She jumped a fence, sprinted to the building without being shot, she had a key to gain entry to a locked down school, knew exactly where her kids were out of 600 kids, got in, convinced the teacher to unlock the door to the specific classroom where her kids were, and then convinced Ramos to not shoot her, then sprinted/waltzed right out to give her media interview.
Yeah, sounds believable.
She was also the pilot flying the Mig in Kiev that downed 5 planes the first day.
Cee eye aye.
You could be right, but, I just want to say…
The shooter was in the 4th grade classroom.
Most moms know exactly the lay out of the elementary school and where their kids class is.
There are master keys that unlock any door.
I imagine she knew her child’s teacher and could have already been in communication with her.
Most moms will die for their kids.
Just some thoughts.
I think we should have a Ms. Gomez statue placed in Uvalde. She is a Hero! God Love Her! Mama Bear! What the h@ll is wrong with the police?
This lack of action on their part is a NATIONAL DISGRACE. Just another one is a long line of NATIONAL DISGRACES
since November 2020. Counting……….
How did Federal Marshals get there so fast?
Asking for a friend..
Ramos was one of their “Assets”
Yup. It’s almost like Col Trautman told them right where to find his boy.
Jimmy – exactly! They weren’t going to take out one of their federally trained and armed ally/asset.
“How did Federal Marshals get there so fast?”
They live there in Uvalde.
So, who was interfering with whom?
Apparently the town is a staging area for sending illegals else where. 😒
It was a set up.
I read fat, but then I see fast. There are lots of fat cops these days, if they aren’t fat, they are bulked up on steroid weight lifting crap. Anyway, yeah, how about them Marshals, and where are the Texas Rangers on their horses racing through the dust to save the day?
WitSec for the perp?
When seconds count, don’t count on the cops to come to the rescue.
Especially when someone is shooting..
There are no secrets that time does not reveal
The man lived long ago but truer words have never been spoken.
One of the great Golden Age 17th century French playwrights. Contemporary to Blaise Pascal who was also a Jansenist.
This is why you must never be without a weapon.
Sheep or lion. No middle ground. Does “law enforcment” have the right to hold you back when your children are being slaughtered? Or do they merely have the power? Or do they have neither?
You know a LOT of those parents were armed. Why did they not force the fedthugs to stand down, send the bulk of parents to retrieve the kids while a few ‘covered’ the cowards?
The Marshalls would have shot the parents. I think that much is clear.
Our job is to die and watch our children die, and then watch Democrats celebrate on TV.
Neither.
If this is true, a whole bunch of LEOs should be fired for “failure to act” which is in 99% of agencies S.O.P.s. I know the agency I worked at would have done so.
They need to be fired and prosecuted for dereliction of duty. How could any human stand there and let those children be massacred . The kids that survived will be traumatized for life.
Prosecute for impersonating police officers.
Or maybe they had orders to stand down. Usurper Biden’s bad policies are no longer the lead story on the news, and Democrats will again try to pass laws to take guns away from patriots.
18 minutes of police communications missing.
But I doubt they will stay missing. A lot of people monitor police channels.
What are they hiding?
Cee Eye Eh orders from on high?
There was a case from Florida that went to SCOTUS that ruled police are not obligated to take action in a crime.
I think Sundance or a poster here had something about it back during one of the many riots where police did not take action for a citizen.
You and only you are responsible for your safety
But all the officers will live to get their taxpayer funded pensions. And isn’t that why we have police in the first place? 😡🙄😒
All those cops are worried about is collecting their pay and benefit package.
Most cops are pretty useless.
Thinking ahead. Two things:
Thing one – They will use this right up to the election to relentlessly shame and browbeat conservative candidates. It will be nonstop demonizing. They have nothing else.
Thing two – Their string-pullers really want gun control and they want it soon. The United States is pivotal to the globalist great reset and they need us disarmed. The mass shootings are just getting started, expect more.
Thing three – I think I’m going to buy a second AR-15 before you can’t get them anymore.
It will be tough to do if these parents are speaking out about the police failure, and even WSJ is reporting it. Plus the shooter was another LGBTQ+ head case. Bobby O’Rourke also blew it. This is not a winner for the Dems.
May 3, 2018 – Two teens arrested in ‘mass casualty’ plot in 2018 targeting a Uvalde middle school

People shouldn’t get too focused on where the kid got the money for guns and gear, or that the rifle may have been manufactured by Daniel Defense . It’s not really important, he could have picked up a $500 rifle and accomplished killing 20 innocent people.
The question brought up by the cost is who might have funded him.
Exactly. 17-going-on-18 yr old Wendy’s part-timers aren’t well known for their money-saving ability.
and apparently “owned” an expensive truck.
follow the money.
border town….staging for illegal railroad
human trafficking
drugs
weapons underground.
pick one.
We all find it odd that the side door to the elementary school was unlocked. Incredibly the killer entered the elementary school through this unlocked door.
Heck, he didn’t even need a rifle at all. With 60 + minutes to make havoc, a hammer, a knife, a hatchet, a screw driver, or even his bare hands to strangle the children would have worked. I don’t know how these LEOs will ever look themselves in the mirror again.
sorry, this is a major line of evidence that needs to be flushed out
Your first clue it was a *staged* event is that none of these loose ends will ever be further explained and the TV people will all be focused onto something else entirely by next week.
You know how a murderer lacks curiosity and interest about what happened to the body because he already knows the answer?
Like that.
Ramos had two AR-15 rifles and a Glock plus scopes, body armor and 500 rounds of 5.56. Sounds like a lot more than $500. No?
It absolutely makes a difference. He had to put up 5 to 7K. The kid was working at Wendy’s and living with grandparents. It’s absolutely germain number one how exactly did he pay for it (cash, credit etc) and how did he get the money.
Texas Police Lieutenant Says Cops Were Reluctant to Engage Gunman Because ‘They Could’ve Been Shot’
https://www.mediaite.com/tv/texas-police-lieutenant-says-cops-were-reluctant-to-engage-gunman-because-they-couldve-been-shot/
Unbelievable.
PD – “Hey, it was scary over there.”
Citizen – “Find another occupation!”
I don’t believe that for a second. Someone told them to do nothing.
The feds, no doubt.
I am afraid you are correct. Three questions: Was he on psychotropic drugs? Was he being treated at a government affiliated treatment center? Was he “previously known to law enforcement?” I am very familiar with this type of rifle and the manufacturers of the best of them. I’ve wanted to purchase a Daniel Defense for a long time. I have the itch, but not the scratch. That an 18
Year old was able to purchase one really makes me wonder if the Feds were involved.
Yes. That high dollar Daniel defense is a big red flag for me, as well.
Also was he involved in the 2018 incident?
(It’s been posted a lot, and on this page, so I won’t repost)
that’s part of the problem
each state and police jurisdiction has a well established active shooter protocol.
it ranges from go in hot and don’t waste a moment, first on scene makes contact with the active shooter.
all the way to
post up and allow the command center to run the tactical
in the former, there are risks involved but it emphasizes speed and to challenge the shooter rapidly.
in the later, that same tactic can happen, but it is delayed until the command center makes the determination and this gives the active shooter time to do pretty much whatever they want.
it really depends on the jurisdiction. There is no single operational plan for local law enforcement with active shooter crisis.
I am not casting blame..I just don’t have enough information to process to make a judgement…but I will point out that rapid first contact is always going to be the optimal tactic with those on scene with the capability to make contact with the shooter….But for ‘reasons’ many local law enforcement jurisdiction actually have in their SOP to take no action and to wait until a command center and authority is stood up. It’s a reality that speaks to lack of training, lack of budget, lack of training, and A HUGE AMOUNT OF POLITICS.
In my parish, local law enforcement has serveral memos of understanding with state and federal law enforcement. However the training and the budget and the demonstrated performance of first line police officers here are also put in a continuous rotation for school security. And there is always a two man, two vehicle, commed up patrol for each school and the policies call for these front line police officers to challenge the shooter rapidly and make contact. No waiting. No arm chair quarterbacking. They comm a threat to dispatch, call for backup units and special shooters and then they are REQUIRED BY POLICE TO USE LETHAL RAPID FORCE to neutralize the active shooter. It doesn’t matter if they are in a mall, in a school, in a theatre, in a restaraunt. The local law enforcement is trained very well to perform in a myriad of conditions. It really helps that many of our trainers and also uniforms are in fact US Military veterans who have combat experience. Not all, but the most important training is conducted by these people and the training happens all year long. We pay BIG taxes for our police force. I would have it no other way.
In these border towns, they just do not have that funding, resources, experience and training. Some do, most do not.
It’s hard to understand for most people to realize just how dirt poor some of these border towns are and the kinds of threats they deal with every single day…in schools..in public..at home. There is no waiting list for professional police officers lined to to take these jobs.
jmho
I hear and understand every single word you say, but at some point when does human nature of the heroic decent kind kick in? How do you stand around w/a weapon in your hand and know that children are being slaughtered and do nothing?
the rules of engagement for police jurisdictions vary.
these are not JUST policies, but also breaking from them exposes liability …
I know this isn’t every going to be the right time to discuss these matters, but fact is that there is an endless stream of ambulance chasing lawyers just WAITING for a police officer (ANYWHERE) to violate a police policy.
So there is that too. Police officers are trained in a specific way and warned about not taking certain actions. This is a reality.
Then there is the nature of the human being, training or not, that when faced with a delima will tend to freeze up and think and all kinds of things happen in the mind.
Q: if I go in right now, what are the odds this active shooter will start popping people?
Q: if I make contact with the active shooter will more or less people die?
Q: if I contain the active shooter to just one spot, with defensive positions and alerting the active shooter about this reality, will it reduce the odds that he takes even more lives?
Q: Can I avoid detection and get a solid head or center mass shot?
Q: how well have I trained with taking a shot like this with the weapon I have right now?
Q: can I talk to the active shooter and buy time?
Q: will I go home tonight and see my family?
there are so many things that go through the mind. It always looks like just a straight forward 20/20 crystal clear decision AFTER THE FACT.
But in the moment, as in combat, there are serious conflicts that even the most steeled warrior is confronted with.
This notion that you just burst in with guns blazing is a hollywood fairy tale. The police that are most effective are not timid and have a high risk IQ. These police officers are not common.
It is a feature and a quality almost exclusively located with special teams, swat and if you are lucky maybe from some combat vet now wearing police blue.
So to the “typical” cop, there is a policy and one they are trained to live by. They have few choices in such a regime and that is exactly WHY it is designed in this way.
Police departments in towns do not have the experience, the talent or the initiatives to actually train their own at the level of special teams. You only find that happening at the larger police jurisdictions where funding and the office of the police department is highly competitive and also highly prized for the top cops.
In these small towns it would not be unusual to see the police regulations state that active shooter situations will be at the authority of a command and control operational unit and task commander.
Active shooter holed up in a school with children is going to be, unfortunately, one of those maddening scenarios where the police policy will instruct the local police and first on scene to provide defensive perimeter security and contain the threat to just one location/spot until the special teams arrive to do the hunting.
the lesson in parkland is not lost on me. I am just commenting to help understand how police regulations, funding, resources, training and mentality and experiences varies…and the policies are generally trained to officers recognizing these things.
I don’t like it either. But that’s pretty much the state of police departments across america.
With all it’s defects, and flaws, I oppose a national police security force. In many areas, the line between local and federal is very blurry.
The reality is that no one had control over the situation.
Therefore, the law enforcement had no right to prohibit anyone from attempting rescue of their kids.
Being from S. TX, I can say ..
Most of these dirtpoor towns are like that because they’re Mexican. Many illegals, cartel members, single welfare mothers, etc.
As in MX, tax evasion is a local pastime. They don’t think much about tomorrow, live and eat today. Probably don’t pay their police much.
This is typical of almost every Mexican-American neighborhood. My mom taught in those school districts.
Most Americans would have trouble understanding the survival culture & fatalism that precludes vision, discipline, planning, ambition, etc. It’s the outgrowth of a near-feudal culture.
So sad. But typical.
And they have been overwhelmed with illegals for years and worse since Biden took office.
I so don’t want to believe that!
That’s obscene, if it’s true.
That anyone would obey that order makes me physically ill.
It’s better if they were scared and cowards than to obey orders to let children and others get killed/shot!
And with the surveillance capabilities in use now, any cop who even thinks about disclosing stand-down orders will likely commit suicide or have a fatal car accident.
Bingo!!
Any cop that was impeded by those thoughts when innocent children are being murdered should find a new job.
Yes, and it should be making license plates. Gross dereliction of duty gets people killed and that’s why it’s a criminal act of cowardice.
Un-effing believable.
‘They Could’ve Been Shot’
This is like firemen refusing to enter a burning building cause ” they could get burned” What?
Makes me think of the 9-11 Firefighters going up those stairs in the towers. God rest their souls.
They only have pounds protective gear on. We will never know the full truth, but those that can be identified need to pay a price for being stooges.
Most GSW deaths are loss of blood pressure from organ, arterial, or tissue damage. This does not necessarily happen in an instant, though it can.
How many of these victims bled out, helpless, while the coppers sat on their butts, executing an “active investigation?” The entire leadership of that department and any officers on the scene should be fired and prosecuted for dereliction of duty, if not accessory to homicide for every child that bled out.
I wonder if that can be determined by autopsies and if so, then they need to look at charges of manslaughter ???
One thing I have learned in my long life is the democrat memes always contain quite a bit of truth.
ACAB is one of them.
The good news is if there ever was a civil war the cops would all run away.
They will go home and protect their families just like everyone else.
“Very Disturbing Updates From Texas School Shooting, Gunman Fired Outside School for Twelve Minutes, Federal Marshals Blocked Frantic Parents From School Before Shooting Started”
blah blah blah….
how do we know these people are lieing ?
( simple: their lips are moving 🙁 )
let’s wait and see ALL the evidence tested either in a court-of-law or a Coroner’s Inquiry, eh?
any incident likely to impinge on the fundamental HUMAN RIGHT of the 2ⁿᵈ Amend. in any way, shape or form needs to be, @ the v. least, rigorously tested in a court of law all the way up to the SCotUS and, then, be tested by an ind. committee of inquiry as well as, say, a Senatorial hearing and, if necessary, involve a referendum of registered voters……
☞ meanwhile ☜

“let’s wait and see ALL the evidence tested either in a court-of-law or a Coroner’s Inquiry, eh?”
Like epstein and many other court cases? Sure. Why not? After all, that’s where all the facts come out.
Yea, right.
“epstein and many other court cases?”
uh-hun…
and: are you relying on what the media tells all y’all abt such cases or on what a careful perusal of the actual court transcripts reveals, eh?
Both. And still, we don’t have all the facts.
yeah we’re gonna get all Vegas shooter evidence real soon I heard
Exactly
WTF are you talking about, “living?” It’s “lying.” All these parents and witnesses are telling consistent stories, which jibes with law enforcement antics MSD shootings.
“All these parents and witnesses are telling consistent stories”
yeh?
sez WHO?
the only way to determine ‘consistency’ is in a court-of-law where such ‘witnesses’ can be cross-examined by competent and experienced counsel….
mean-while: in the light of many other dubious and contradictory accounts of so-called ‘mass shootings’, we are, @ the very least, entitled to be sceptical of ‘the official narrative’ …
Well, there is the story about Sandy Hook that the bodies were never seen. Will we see these kids bodies? Las Vegas shooting, we got all the details on that one////
This story and new facts gives off a distinct odor of “stand down” orders to police. How can they just stand there listening to children being murdered? Imagine arresting parents trying to rescue their own children! The coldness and mental and moral vacuity of Joe R Biden infects everything.
I get how terrified the parents were. I get how they wanted something done NOW!*
What I heard today is law enforcement was waiting for the law enforcement with the right equipment and body armor. By the time the initial LE (unarmed) were on site Ramos was shooting through the classroom walls with the high powered rifle for anyone approaching the classroom. They needed the body armor to approach.
What good would come of having the first LE massacred or the parents for that matter?
*There was a shootout between the perp and law enforcement near my daughter’s preschool. We heard it on the news at work. I remember how terrified I was when I called the school to check the status. By then the perp had been taken into custody. But it is beyond terrifying to think your child is in danger.
An hour plus. And Mama Bear ran in and grabbed her kids. Shame.
Couple of things. I am familiar with AR 15s. The ones that are sold to us peasants can’t fire through building walls.
Second, why would heavily armed well trained officers have lost a gun battle to an 18 year old kid?
Just stop.
“can’t fire through building walls.”??
I see lots of news articles of people killed in drive by shootings that go through walls. So I asked my husband about this comment.
He was a hunter safety officer for his gun club. He said he has a lot of rifles and every one of them can shoot though walls.
Don’t know where you get your rifles but I recommend you test that theory out before standing in front of a wall with live ammo pointed in your direction.
Houses are made of tissue paper.
Schools of bricks.
AR-15 is not a high powered weapon despite the spin.
“Houses are made of tissue paper.
Schools of bricks.”
Ha, ha, ha, ha
I am from the baby boomer generation. It had a strong “make do” influence. Like Robb Elementary my school had a lovely façade at the front of the school grounds that would give you an impression the buildings were substantial. In back of the façade were WW II barrack buildings that had been moved in and modified for classroom use. Across on the other side of the playground were the “new” buildings. They were prefabricated modular structures.
Since your experience recalls schools as brick buildings sounds like you may live in an area with steady growth rather than an explosion of growth. While Robb looks new, the buildings themselves don’t look substantial. They have lots of windows, a flat roof etc. My guess is they were a moderate to low cost build.
Also my guess is that they would be able to recognize if there were holes in the wall where the gunman shot.
Yes many rifles can fire through walls. An AR 15 is essentially a 22 caliber. It won’t shred through walls. I have taken my rifles on many different properties that allow all kinds of different target testing. One of them allowed us to shoot up camper/trailers. We had about 9 of us unloading on them from the outside. None of the AR15 shots breached the whole way through the camper walls.
You want to shoot a hunting rifle at a wall, sure that will rip through. Those guns are meant to take down large animals. AR15 are nothing more than for target practice and do not have the power of a hunting rifle. So being that your husband is a hunter, I’d venture he’s not using an AR15 for his prey.
And again, why would highly skilled cops lose a gun battle to an 18 year old kid? Why would they be massacred?
“why would highly skilled cops lose a gun battle to an 18 year old kid?”
These are some of the numbers from “my generation’s” war.
1,857,304 were drafted into the U S Army during Viet Nam war. Many were 18 years old.
2,709,918 served in uniform in Viet Nam during war.
58,220 American service members died in Viet Nam. Five of those were only 16 years old.
No matter the age of the shooter. The weapon is dangerous. A barricaded shooter goes high up on the dangerous scale over someone in the open.
We had an 18 year old friend who was a gunner on a helicopter. His job was to kill people and things (ex: water buffalo) and break things. Like a barricaded shooter he was very good at his job.
Anyone with a weapon is dangerous. It would be a big mistake to underestimate someone because of their age.
The little kids, with no body armor, had to face the shooter. Why couldn’t LE?
Yes and 19 of them and 2 of their teachers are dead.
How many LEO’s and parents would satisfy you?
Given that armor and lack of weapons were in the discussion why not have the “equipment” stored on campus for access by the arriving LEO’s??
I don’t know what it said but Senator Ron Johnson tried to have a best practice school safety put into place after Uvalde. He had asked that it pass by unanimous consent. It was developed after the Parkland massacre by parents and others familiar with Parkland. Chuck Schmer shut it down in the blink of an eye. After all the democrats have plans to put the crisis to work.
The police have no duty to protect YOU or your children, courts have held they exist to protect ” The community at large “.
Police will try >>> TRY <<< to prevent you from defending yourself or your children.
Yeah , now sell that gun control to promise how it will make us ‘ safe ‘
They’re losing and throwing everything at the board including killing innocents to try and get our guns.
Why do I get the feeling that in time, We’ll find out that the shooter took his own life?
Watched the information on Tucker Carlson. This is unforgivable dereliction of duty on the part of police, SWAT, marshals, and Border Patrol.
How come we haven’t heard from any other teachers or the principal there? I’d like to hear their stories of what happened.
I remember the Smith Mtn Lake shooting, the father was on Tv before his daughter got to the morgue. One of the sickest things I have ever seen.
thats what happens when you hire people to “serve and protect” who do not want to, or even are required to, serve and protect. if the cops would not enter, the parents should. protect yourself, protect your family. cops dont have to. more often than not choose not to. Ive seen it firsthand when me and my wife needed help. they stood around laughing and making jokes. they refused to allow the medics in until i got mad and told them we are leaving. then they forced me to not actually take her to the hospital. because of that my daughter was born on a gurney in our front yard. cramed into the night clothes my wife was wearing.
Ms. Gomez drove 40 miles to pick up her children after the she heard about the shooting, so what was she mad at the police for. I get that parents were frantic, but they can’t just rush a crime scene. Not sure why she is making herself a victim in this and placing blame on the police. It’s sad that the police are being made the enemy for everything that happens anymore.
Evidently, the police can’t rush a crime scene either.
Even when loaded down w/protective gear, guns, and ammo. Odd that.
I wouldn’t be so sure the Ulvalde police have protective gear. It’s a small town.
Wow. You have seriously lost touch with what’s important in the world. I am so glad I am not your child depending on you to save me from “an active crime scene.”
It sounds like these were Paul Blart rent-a-cops standing down, not policemen with weapons. I’d like to know why it took so long for the real police -those trained with actual weapons and body armor- to arrive at the scene. When were they called?
There are many inconsistencies.
I can’t imagine why the murderer would wait so long to carry out his deadly plans. They may have all been killed already, including the murderer.
My neighbor, a rookie cop, was killed rescuing a child from a gunman during a domestic disturbance. He left behind a pregnant wife and two young children.
Sorry, but I will never rush to bash the police. I know too many HEROES. I also know too many people who believe FAKE news.
In some of the videos I see they did get the yellow tape up good. I mean there is that 😛
I think with so many phone cameras out at these things, they are going to have to rethink their MO. This ain’t going to be like Las Vegas.
The truth of the matter is Police have been standing down for years now. Years. We just never thought they would obey the order when kids were being slaughtered
Remember the school shooting when Trump was president. The cops and armed guard delayed going in and were basically cowards and allowed the mass shooting. This reminds me of that last school shooting.

I guess the manufactured crisis at the supreme court and Ukraine didnt work time to move on to the “gun lobby” derp.
Monkey pox is kind of a bust too. You can’t hype a disease that affects gay men just before the sainted Pride month! This isnt the 80’s \s
Try windows if door cannot be breached. Drive EMS vehicles through walls if necessary. Incident Commander on scene froze up.
flash bangs? smoke? shot guns? think outside the box as you say
if it were my child, yes my car is going to go through the wall
btw, they just had an active shooter drill at that very school within the last couple months. no doubt law enforcement scored themselves very well
Active shooter drills? What do they do, cower in a corner waiting to be murdered?
I think parents should review those “drills” and come up with a better plan. Teachers should be armed, for one. No more “gun free zones” either.
The feds just screwed the pooch big time.
The Latinos will not let this go.
Neither will we.
In communities across America tonight there are many parents and communities getting organized into response teams to prevent this from ever being perpetrated again by the feds or any other law enforcement agency that attempts to impede the rescue of children from armed attackers.
This is so beyond the pale I can’t find the words. It’s grievously worse than could have been anticipated. It’s broward county on steroids.
There must be a reckoning.
Indeed.
“The Latinos will not let this go.”
Yep, been saying that.
God Bless them if they can get the job done.
Amen.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see angry relatives of those innocent children try to retaliate against those that stood by while their babies were slaughtered.
“If it can save even one life”…….isn’t that the cacophony from the left and politicians of all stripes regarding health? From the looks of things with this report public schools are too dangerous even for armed LEO’s, so close them all permanently to save lives (and as an added bonus, save brains).
We’re on our own now, and we have to band together. It’s tribe time. Amazing how fast the thin veneer of society collapsed.
Isn’t it amazing how the ENEmedia controls us? I don’t know why we listen to anything they say anymore. It’s really sad.
And a “sad” thing about this (besides the obvious) and it ties in with the Larry Nassar fiasco is that when someone does have info or video/photos, they know not to provide them to law enforcement. The best thing will be to put them out to the largest audience so law enforcement can’t ignore it. They brought it on themselves.
According to this thread, the civilians are supposed to come first, by law.
Appears lots of scrubbing occurring on Twitter.

I think it’s your device or connection, these are all still operative here.
I have a suspicion that a standard protocol for police (across the country) is to secure a perimeter and wait for some SWAT-like unit to arrive.
Of course, by then intended victims can be slaughtered without meaningful opposition.
Standard “workplace” training tells people to “run, hide, fight.” That’s placebo for the gullible – especially in the ever-more-common “open office” designs.
Particularly since (most) employers prohibit people from being (legally) armed. So concealed carry capable employees who might otherwise defend themselves and others are, instead, set up for slaughter.
One starts to wonder if the authorities actually want a higher death count.
I agree that the protocols must be reviewed. No more lambs to the slaughter.
Hmmm, another thought. Is this an example of nationalized law enforcement? They don’t have any ties or emotional attachment to the community? The one mother who got out of her cuffs was only able to when she found a cop she knew. Imagine if they are all strangers and maybe rotated in and out frequently so they don’t become attached to the community?
Doesn’t the Left consider this is post-birth abortions anyway? Then why all the shrieking from the Left about “gun control”?
So they can end the rest of us.
That’s easy, the usable tissue has been……
compromised. I want to clarify the sarcasm here so no misinterpretations.
Isn’t it interesting how the non prosecution of Federal LEO’s for failure to act leads to LEO’s failing to act.
Add this Narcissist into the mix. Trying to get a photo opportunity for her Netflix reality show.
vile and despicable.

Hmmm, and 110% chance she has armed security with her. Like that big dude behind her. Probably has big hardware under his suit jacket in the heat of south Texas.
There’s a whole lot of wiggle room in that statement. What the hell does “readily available and armed” mean?
It means that nobody was there besides Paul Blart. They were waiting for help that was VERY slow to arrive.
These cops were pros at neutralizing parents.
But active shooters of their children, not so much.
Weak, feckless cowards. Go slither towards your pensions.
“To Protect….and to Serve”
Protect and Serve whom is a VERY important question right now…..
As Salty said, the shooter was in there “40 Fkg minutes” and the police did nothing but stop parents from trying to rescue the children. I hope the parent they tackled presses criminal charges against those officers and sues the F outta them all.
I very much consider it a badge of honor to being shadow band by those that place themselves at the forefront of free speech just because I articulated an understanding of the said, “Exercise.”
I await this speech, “To being exercised solely based on a past reference!!!”
I guess I touched to close to home in my, “Repackaging of narratives/ taking points.”
Three things.
First, the protocol for schools has to change. Instead of training teachers and students to hide in place and wait to die, they must be taught to grab anything they can use as a weapon (a sharpened pencil, a pen, a heavy book) and fight for their lives. Three kids with sharp pencils could have blinded him, wrestled him to the ground, and beaten him senseless. We are, all of us, our own first responders, and everyone should be taught to behave as if no one is coming to save you. Here, no one came.
Second, even though the gun shots may have stopped, how many of the wounded bled out and died while the police stood around outside and did nothing for over an hour? The medical examiner can answer that question, but probably won’t.
Third, a question. Responding law enforcement stood around and did nothing for over an hour other than prevent anyone else from intervening to rescue the people in the school. Thus my question: if the intention of the persons in charge of the scene was to maximize the number of casualties, isn’t this precisely how they would have managed it?
Finally : SANITY!!!!!
Every officer and school/city official hat responded or was involved in ANY way needs to be arrested and detained without bail until they are tried. Suspended No Pay.
They all deserve the same fate as the kids inside that they were too cowardly to protect. Or maybe they were waiting for a properly licensed crisis social worker to calm the situation. i doubt seriously that the official report will do anything other than cover those in charge’s six o’clock position.
Movement is life.
Move, move, move, run, jump out of windows, it’s a ONE STORY BUILDING.
Movement is life.
Do not hunker down and hide unless you can’t run and evade.
Fighting a gunman with pencils is hopeless.
The students who survived the Virginia Tech massacre were the ones who jumped out of second story windows while their holocaust survivor teacher tried to hold the door closed. Instead of 20+ dead like in the ajacent classrooms, there were only 4 dead in this classroom because there REST JUMPED OUT OF WINDOWS on the orders of their teacher.
Cho killed 32 at VA Tech. 17 others were wounded.
May I offer my condolences to the poor families of the innocents massacred in Texas.
When anyone talks about “run or die” it brings back sad memories of another massacre.
Many years ago I lost many good friends and colleagues in the Piper Alpha oil platform disaster in the North Sea.
The ONLY survivors were those brave men who jumped several hundred feet into the freezing sea. ALL those who perished (167 men) obeyed the Health and Safety orders to remain the dining room and were fried alive.
So yes – action is often better than ‘following orders’
It also brings back sad memories of our other Scottish crime, the Dunblane school massacre with some strange goings on where the madman was given guns despite our struck anti gun laws.
He was allergly friendly with the local constabulary who gave permission to get a gun licence – something about being members of some secret society – or something.
May the innocent rest in peace and the guilty have no shortage of eternal warming.
‘strict gun laws’
There is NO magical law that would change the outcome , if EVIL wants to kill , they will find the means to do so , Schools should always be on lockdown during hours of operation with Armed security , you know like the protection our Politicians get .
I think of 911 and that high rise fire in London a few years ago. People were told to “shelter in place” and died. Those who got out lived
When bad things happen the first thing to do is GET OUT. RUN.
Fourth graders fourth graders these are fourth graders how can they do this
Exactly. they did do something. they actively blocked people from intervening. how is that not called accesory to murder?
