I think we all knew the Pennsylvania GOP Senate primary race was going to be close, but wow, it’s really close. As of right now, only 1,750 votes separate Mehmet Oz and David McCormick, or a mere .2% of the more than 1.3 million votes cast.
According to the Philadelphia Enquirer there are approximately 105,000 mail-in ballots to be counted and no one knows how many of them are republican ballots. Politico is estimating around 21,000 of them are republican ballots.
Regardless of the outcome from the mail-in ballots, it seems a recount is a certainty as Pennsylvania state law requires an automatic recount if the difference is less than half of one percent (.50%).
PENNSYLVANIA – […] Pennsylvania law requires an automatic statewide recount if the top two candidates in a race are within half a percentage point of each other, which Oz and McCormick currently are.
The secretary of state will make that determination by “the second Thursday following the day of the election,” which would be May 26.
The recount would be run by the individual counties, and it would have to start no later than June 1 and be completed by noon on June 7. Counties would have to submit results to the state by June 8. (Non-recounted races need to be certified by June 6.)
Recounts rarely change the results of elections, even incredibly close ones. Races with margins even in the low thousands usually hold. But in the closest of elections, small shifts in the corrected count can have an effect on the eventual winner. (read more)

The only factor that pushed Dr. Oz to the top of the race was the endorsement by President Donald Trump. Without President Trump’s endorsement there’s no way Dr Oz could have won (perhaps) Pennsylvania.
Hopefully that means Oz will keep America-First at the very top of the policy agenda as he heads into the general election against a big time socialist, John Fetterman, the Democrat candidate.
In the interim, it looks like we will have to wait until after June 8th to know the official winner on the republican side.

They have to know how many mail-in ballots were issued for each party. It is not even a question.
That makes sense, although I’m going by Ohio rules. In a primary, if you request an absentee (mail-in) ballot you have to say which party you want to vote in. Even at the in-person voting you have to tell them whether you want a Republican, an Independent or a Democrat ballot. A general election would be different. Hmm.
All ballots have to be accounted for. Here, absentee ballots by mail (ABBMs) are are entered onto a spreadsheet when requested, mailed, received again at the elections office, and notation in made if the ballot was accepted or rejected. Voters whose ABBMs were rejected are sent form letters notifying the voter and noting the reason.
It is kosher for people not to return their ballots and create a shortfall in ballots voted. It is never kosher for the elections office to receive more ballots than were mailed out.

Save the numbers, it’s all a crock anyway. We live in a Post-Representative Republic America; we’re now a New and Improved Banana Republic, with shiny new communist technology and a brain-dead populace.
It is an absolute necessity that we start having America First primaries to decide who our candidates are going to be. AF decides who it’s going to endorse with Trump at the head of that table. And then our candidates need to run ads explicitly calling out the “splitter strategy” and calling on base Republicans to unify around the AF candidate to take out the eGOP candidate.
Nobody seems to want to start a new party, so that’s really the best option. Barnette might be legit, but we need to get that established earlier than 3 weeks before the voting and if she’s not the AF candidate, and stays in the race anyway, then we know she’s a plant/splitter. (I’m just using Barnette as an example, she might be terrific, but at some point AF needs to be able to tell people who the MAGA candidate it…perfect or not that’s who we’re going with.)

I believe he made several wrong choices because of that. Your wish may come true. Both OZ and Mastriano may have little chance to win now in the general election. The Barnette supporters might be no shows due to the lies that were spread about her by many trusted conservative websites, pundits and candidates. It’s likely that the democrats will remind everybody how Barnette was treated in the primary. Instead of allowing the natural course of events and permitting Barnette to win or lose on her own merits and by doubling down on their lies about her they may have inadvertantly destroyed enough of the MAGA movement in Pennsylvania to make it ineffective in future elections.

Stop thinking about the MAGA candidates as republicans. There are not enough of them to seize control over either the house or senate. Instead, think about them as the minority party in a coalition government with the republicans. The r’s will need the MAGA coalition to wrestle control of congress from the democrats. Once in control, they will need MAGA Caucus member support to move anything through congress. This is where our leverage lies. This is where we can extract something useful for the America First agenda. But for that to happen, the MAGA caucus must be part of the ruling coalition. Which means we have to vote for whoever the republican is in the general election.

Here is the daily registration pattern for Otero County along with the approximate dates that the state joined the voter registration system ERIC, gave the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) write-access to our rolls, and our Secretary of State (SOS) gave Rock the Vote enhanced access to bypass her website when registering voters. You can see that there is a dramatic increase in the amount of manipulation starting in 2018. There are also no times when voters aren’t being registered, even though until 2020 we had a state statute that required the rolls to be shut down during elections:

So the delays in counting ballots happens just like the 2020. Are we in an echo chamber? Pa law says to the effect that all changes to the voting system must be made by the Legislative body. The delay in 2020 was done by the Pa. Supreme Court. not the Legislative branch. The SCOTUS viewed that as a nothing burger. The skies are getting darker for our Constitutional Republic. Storm clouds look really threating!

Barnette was not the problem.
There were too many Maga candidates on the ballot. If Sands and Bartos had just dropped out a couple weeks ago, their totals combined would have put Oz or Barnette over the top.
Quit splitting the Maga vote between 5 or 6 candidates. If you’re going into the election w/ under 10 % of the vote, get the h*ll out.

We can all thank Trump for trying to force MAGA to vote for someone who isn’t MAGA at all. And frankly if you really cared about splitting MAGA you would STFU because every time one of you blames KB you just piss people off. Not smart if you want to get people to vote for the R in the general.
His endorsement of Oz was, at the time to block McCormick when Oz jumped in after Parnell, the real MAGA candidate was forced out.
PDJT endorses the best candidate that can win, which at the time was Oz.
Barrette was relatively unknown at the time, probably in the single digits.
This race unfolded unlike any other.

Kathy Barnette had the best chance of beating John Fetterman in the general election. She would have not only pulled in Republicans, but also the Black & female voters.

John Fetterman is not well-liked. He’s not particularly bright. He is also 100% THUG & BULLY — and comes off that way.
But, Fetterman has the entire Democrat machine behind him.

I’m not familiar with Pennsylvania election law. Is there any chance between now and the election steps can be taken to prevent voter fraud (voter ID, no drop boxes, etc)? If not, the Philly vote counters might well decide this election, again.
Allegheny county voted heavily for McCormick. This is from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette this evening: “Thirty of the county’s 1,323 precincts — or just 2% — had not yet reported in-person voting results as of Wednesday because memory sticks remain inside of the scanners that read the paper ballots. In one other precinct, a memory stick failed and county officials will need to rescan the votes. By Wednesday evening, the county reported that it had retrieved all but eight of the memory sticks, but hadn’t yet posted any new in-person vote totals. The process of retrieving the scanners, and unlocking them to retrieve and read the memory sticks, can take up to six days, and updates on the race totals likely will come Friday ‘at the earliest’ according to county spokeswoman Amie Downs.”
In short, in 2 counties, Lancaster and Allegheny, there are enough malleable votes to swing the election either way. My money is on Bridgewater and Goldman Sachs and the ghost of John McCain. In other words: McCormick.

It is unacceptable for Allegheny County to delay any further. What people don’t understand is that this works a lot like the reason we demand recusals.
It’s the mere appearance of impropriety that poses a danger to the system, sows distrust and kills integrity.

They’re not even releasing Election Day totals for Allegheny county until next week. Total fraud machine activated.
I don’t know why they allow mail in ballots that have not been received by election day to be counted. If someone wants to use the convenience of using a mail-in ballot the onus should be on them to mail it with enough time to be received by election day. If their ballot doesn’t arrive on time or gets lost that’s their problem.
So it takes weeks to recount something that was counted in one day since they didn’t count mail in ballots until after poll closed. BULLSH*T!!!
You know they will count and count until WEF-friendly McCormick “wins.” The establishment also wants to deliver another loss to a Trump endorsement. Mark. My. Words.
The MAGA base was split between McCormick and Barnette. MAGA support was generated for McCormick because he was endorsed by the Trump endorsed favorite Parnell after he dropped out. MAGA support for Barnette was genuine grassroots. At no point in the primary was there even the slightest interest in Oz from the MAGA base. If Oz wins it was because just enough Trump loyalists suspended their disbelief and voted for him. I don’t think there was any GOPe splitter strategy going on here at all.
Oz, or McCormick, have their work cut out to get the support of this Barnette voter. Obviously I’m not voting for Fetterman but I may sit out the senate race.
Thanks, a good analysis. I didn’t realize that Parnell had endorsed McCormick. I noticed that most voters interviewed by journaists said they voted for Oz because PDJT wanted Oz, no other reason. Some even said they didn’t like him, but were doing it to support PDJT.
It seems Oz may struggle in the general to bring a not insubstantial part of the base with him. The hard truth is that for the first time MAGA leadership and major media elements of our own MAGA movement smeared and knee-capped one of our own the only actual MAGA candidate in favor of a WEF, dual citizen leftie. Hope that horrible behavior hasn’t actually done permanent damage –collapsing part of the MAGA base.
Or maybe there is a silver lining to be found out ofthis knee-capping of one of our own. —Perhaps MAGA will gradually move away from wanting to be led and move more into rolling up our sleeves with relying so heavily on MAGA leadership to do the heavy lifting for us. Don’t know –am struggling with the bad taste in my mouth re Barnette’s treatment by her own MAGA leaders. I assume the GOP establishment controls the GOP primary vote tabulation. So expect their candidate to emerge with the win.
I have been working on a few numbers from this article and I believe that Dr. Oz should win the re-count unless McCormick has almost 57% of the absentee ballots which have either his or Dr. Oz name selected. This would mean Dr. Oz will have to have at least 43% of those votes. This depends on all of the other candidates having the same sub total percentage of the total in person voting of 37.61% of the overall count. I don’t think that can even be guessed to be true, but I don’t see that percentage being more than 10% off in either direction.
McCormick obviously believes that his percentage of all of the absentee ballots is much larger than his percentage of the votes cast in person. Still, it looks like Dr. Oz will probably win the nomination. Since the only numbers that will count are the final vote totals, none of my numbers actually matter at all and contain nothing but conjecture.
I really like elections, if they are free and fair. If not, the estimated 21,000 absentee ballots will turn out to be either way too many or way too few. If McCormick wins and there are far more absentee ballots than the projected number, I will suspect election fraud of the kind we saw in 2020. If Dr. Oz wins and there are far fewer of those ballots, I would also suspect election fraud.
