CNN conducted another poll to evaluate voter trends [pdf data here]. The results show a significant drop in American opinion of the economy with 77% rating the current status as “poor,” and 23% saying it’s “good.” Additionally, 66% of people polled disapprove of the way Biden is handling the economy.
As CNN painfully noted: “Even within the Democratic Party, just 7 in 10 approve of Biden on the economy (71%) and helping the middle class (71%), considerably lower than the 86% of Democrats who approve of his performance overall. Fewer than half of Democrats say Biden has improved the nation’s economic standing (45%), down from 58% in December.” (article link)
In the video discussion, CNN Political Director David Chalian is just gobsmacked, stunned and amazed that 63% of these people are saying they are buying fewer groceries because stuff is just too expensive. WATCH:

I keep getting PDJT’s emails pushing the “Don’t Blame Us – We Voted For Trump” welcome mat. Um, NO THANKS! We enjoy using Trump beer glasses, we love Trump and are very MAGA but we are not advertising ourselves to strangers. Most around us seem to feel the same. This state is beautiful and we have a sheriff who never enforced the draconian Covid mandates (plenty of places obeyed anyway), but state gov. is 100% cancerous and we have a governor who rivals Pelosi in the eyebrows and idiocy dept. I really envy folks in better states. Parts of the country definitely seem insane.
I went to D.C. twice in 2010 for 2 major Tea Party events (the March and then the Kill the Bill rally) and it was truly a party atmosphere and a fantastic time. NO one attacked us or even made a nasty gesture. Incidentally, the groups I was in were very diverse and the main thing uniting us was love of America (and disgust over Obama). Having been a longtime Dem, 2+ decades ago, I now believe one of the things that deranges Dems (besides mental illness and self-loathing) is the continual failure of their elected politicians. No matter how the pols debase themselves it’s never enough, and not one of them these days is at all admirable. I want to see PDJT get another 4 years in the WH but I don’t know if it can ever be. And DeSantis, whom we also love, deranges the Left almost more!
This is correct. As long as the Democrats can count the votes, it doesn’t matter what “we the people” think about any of their policies. They can destroy the middle class (Trump voters) and still get “re-elected”. Unfortunately, with a corrupt DOJ, I don’t see any way to overcome this election fraud we’re about to experience.

I’m cutting back on everything to throw more money at food and other items we use, when I see them on sale. I’ve actually doubled what my budget is for the last 6 months. Yet what we are eating day to day is less than my old budget.
I’m not paying the high prices that I’ve seen. The exception is bread, I don’t have time to bake right now and it ticks me off that it’s risen so high. We are doing fewer sandwiches.
I have a deep pantry and freezer so when I see a good sale I stock up. In the past I’d only buy a reasonable amount so I wasn’t overwhelmed. Now I look at something like tuna and the Best Buy date and say how many will the store allow me to buy? Do I want to come back tomorrow and get another round? When it’s something that needs freezer space and there isn’t any, I take out a turkey I got after Thanksgiving. Then I have a week (while it defrosts) to make a plan to cook it.
Last week it was butter at $1.35 a pound at Lidl. So far I’ve found something on sale at a good price to stock up on every week.
At some point I’ll have to start paying higher prices, but I’m trying to push that as far along as possible.
I’m not blindly looking at the grocery total and still buying the same old things. If strawberries are through the roof, we’ll snack on carrots. If eggs are high, we’ll have more oatmeal. Since soda has gotten high we are drinking other things.

This is not addressed to Treepers and I don’t exactly know where to post it. But anyway, I’m a fan of those who make decisions for the rest of us having first-hand experience. To wit: 1) If you opt to start a war, you must don your helmet and go fight, preferably in the front lines. 2) If you allow illegal aliens to pour across the border onto other people’s private property, you must take them into your own home, feed, clothe and educate them. 3) If you spend our money into oblivion, you must live like the rest of us: no pension, HUGE cut in pay — maybe even no job — and crappy health insurance. 4) If you prefer Marxism to a Constitutional Republic and socialism to capitalism, you must live in Venezuela for at least 5 years as a normal person not an oligarch and Lastly, 5) If you vote for abortion up to and beyond actual birth, you must submit yourself to the same (it’s not too late to let someone who has vowed to Do No Harm to puncture and collapse your skull and tear you apart limb by limb as they pull you through a small tunnel) in which case we wouldn’t have to worry about what you’d dictate for the rest of us because you wouldn’t be here and all your decrees would be null maybe this should’ve been number 1)
