Keep in mind, the federal court ruling specifically centered around the arbitrary nature of the original mandate, which exceeded the scope of CDC legal authority, compounded by the CDC breaking its own rules for public feedback in the implementation.
The mandate created by Joe Biden did not have legal structure. It was a dictatorial fiat that exceeded the capacity of the executive branch to create.
Congress could easily write a law authorizing mechanisms for the CDC and TSA to use in enforcement of a federal Transportation mask mandate; but they won’t – because the public would never support it. So now, a political DOJ has to wait for a political CDC to determine whether they still have any currency of influence amid the politics of COVID.
I doubt the CDC will attempt to go through the process to legally reinstitute the mask mandate. The political science just doesn’t support it.
However, as with all things leftist, narcissistic and Covidian, the moonbat tribe evaluate their worth through the prism of how much they can force others to endure. So, there’s a possibility the religious leaders within the CDC Church of Big Pharma, may just decide to inflict more social damage.
I think they are hoping the short attention span of their base has moved on to some other outrage in two weeks.

He is a decent guy, just a worrier. I “bit my tongue” and enquired about his wife as she is usually with him.
Well he hesitated ( as he knows I am one of the great unwashed)
He stated she’s home in bed and not well, she just had her 4 th shot, and seems to have has some kind of reaction.
We exchanged pleasantries and I wandered off once again accepting that one cannot fix stupid.

But there it is…the transformation requires alot of energy…and doing bad things requires far more energy than doing simple, honest things..those are natural…they are efficient..there is no downside…but to carry around packs of lies, it changes you..scars and all…and the body and the mind become fearful, reckless, petty, and then ultimately you just don’t want to do it anymore…you want to escape…but there it is..so many bad things and you know you did it all to yourself. no matter how hard you try…no matter what kind of transformation that you think you can pull off, no matter what next best set of perfect lies that you can conjur up will do anything to prevent you into making many many many more lies after that.
God Made US in his own image. I think it’s very clear that the lower energy state of doing the right thing and telling the truth is a fundamental “reward” miracle he created. I believe this to be true. I only saw 1 optional mask wearer today in a large grocery store. That is a big change since my last visit. The reluctant mask wearers have almost disappeared in most busy locations.
