I would expect that the information in Sundance’s article yesterday is totally logical with regard to how Twitter is run. And it would be highly unlikely that Musk would discuss this publicly. If you listen to him speak, he is choosing his words quite carefully, and basically speaking about ‘free speech’ rather than the actual way that Twitter is run. In essence, the discussion is ‘superficial’, but is good to keep the issue of the ‘sale’ in the public eye.
I also noticed that as well. He doesn’t want to upset the apple cart, so to speak, but he does want the platform to have “more free speech”…Now what that entails is yet to be seen!!!!!!
NOTE: Opening up the algorithms to scrutiny is of tantamount “having everyone have a say”!!!!!!!! Twitter would have to have more servers to carry the load!!!!!!!!!

When I took statistics for grad school, while ‘learning’ the material, inside my head, I was arguing about the unknowns of individual human behavior, their thought and how could statistics be so “right”. that course proved statistics, if done honestly, will be correct. I’m really digging Elon’s defense of free speech. However, I’m not really digging microchips in the brain, a giant net of low orbit satellites (read – skynet), the premature push for electric cars and “green energy, which is hardly either”, etc.
Don’t focus on the negative, but be cognizant if it. Remember, his goal is to give speech, hearing and walking back to those with traumatic brain injuries/complications of strokes, tumors, etc.
Globalists want to mandate electric cars, chips in the brain, endless shots for every disease that might appear. At least he ‘says’ he doesn’t want to force people.
He does not act as though he wants to rule the world or kill 7 billion people to make it easier to rule the world.
The technology is already here. Some (like Elon?) will use it for the good. And others will use it for nefarious purposes like genocide and slavery.

If you’ve seen the movie ” The Accountant” w/ Ben Afleck, it gives a good example of how a person with Asperger’s may act:

Although his truth may differ from many, it is his truth. What he is trying to bring about, is for everyone to be able to say their truth, in a public forum, whether or not you like the person or the idea, so long as the law is not broken. How that would be monitored, with an open algorithm, getting rid of bots are a couple of his thoughts, and he is open to ideas.
I myself may not agree with all of his truths but do agree we should be able to exchange ideas freely without what appears to be government backed censorship. This move, I believe fueled by his prior experience w the government, gives me a hope.

Elon Musk – modern day Howard Hughes in many respects. I don’t care what Musk does with Twitter – IMHO it’s tear down job. I will never go back to Twitter – how will I know that some malcontent is not still lurking there for the intelligence agencies?
PS: Watched the SpaceX launch the other day – the self guided landing of the booster on a pad in the ocean was amazing to me, and always is. Such excellent engineering.
Why dont the host give Musk time to finish. It’s obvious that he is an introvert and he should be given time to get his thoughts together. You should get a clear answer after a few umms and stutters. a Lot is racing through his mind and untill it can make sense you will not get a clear answer.
Remember when we still had 3″ floppy diskettes, and AOL was the easiest way to get them? Well, it turns out that AOL was counting each of those floppies as a subscriber. It is said that when Ted Turner found out about this at a board meeting, a murder almost happened then and there.
I am openly suspicious that Twitter has been doing the same thing for a long time now. They claim “millions of subscribers,” and you can get “millions of followers.” But, “millions” is a very large number and I openly question whether it is actually true. Twitter lost a lot of money last year. It could well be that its star is beginning to set.
Let’s hope that Elon Musk targets a large media outlet like CNN, NBC, or ABC next.

Frankly, at my advanced age, this is the first time listening to Elon Musk in a Q & A format. I found it quite refreshing that science just reinforces “Common Sense” so-too-speak! The host was really interested in painting Mr. Musk in a negative picture instead of a more positive Q & A session. Mr. musks handled it professionally and frankly painted a negative picture of the host for all to see! Tipping my hat to Elon Musk!!!
Watching this interview…. have new found respect for Musk.
Ya know…every time I read this stuff I’m reminded that Musk is in bed with the Chinese over the Tesla deal. Free speech??? China?? Get it??
So I think that this is just another carnival show so he can keep in the limelight.
I think that he’s trying to challenge Trump’s social media conglomerate start up and this is the first step. AND I wager that China is putting in a lot of the money for the offer under the cover. (Just like the Saudi’s did). So the effort is two fold..take over the largest social media commenting site and defeat Trump. Run Trump in the ground. Rather obvious to those who have watched Musk and his MO. Remember he left Trumps economic panel is a well documented huff over environmental issues. Then cuts a deal with China (the worst environmental regime driven polluter in the world) for his Tesla efforts.
After all…when did Musk ever operate without getting some sort of Gov aid..even if it’s with the Chi-coms.

Thousands of elected officials are working for the Chinese in this Country and they do not produce anything. At least Mr. Musk actually produces something concrete.
Just a thought-is Musk in bed with China or is he luring them into his bed? He appears to be a long-term thinker. Freedom, messy at its genesis, is long lasting and resilient.
For example, it appears to me that most in free countries will not tolerate more lockdowns and masks as a way of life.

I watched the entire TED talk. Musk is certainly a genius innovator. However, I think of him as somewhat of a snake-oil salesman. He has promised autonomous driving Teslas for years and hasn’t delivered (not that I want to see self-driving cars on the road anyway!). His cars have some serious flaws that have proven deadly (exploding battery fires, software update failures that lock people in their vehicles, terrible customer service, etc.).
Also he seems to envision transhumanism as a good thing. It is not.
His attempt to take over Twitter appears to have genuine good intentions, but there is little chance of that happening.
Best if Twitter dies by it’s self-poisoning.
Tesla has car factories on 3 continents now churning out electrics. There are bound to be flaws and customer service issues here and there. Most modern-car owners hate that “check engine” light because it means a trip to the dreaded car dealership.
Anderson seems to be pleading that the legion of certified liberal morons who are currently censoring tweets are somehow less of a threat as fact-checkers than “the richest man in the world”. He is suggesting that “the wisdom of the liberal/socialist/Marxist crowd” is better than the wisdom of Musk or those he would offer up as fact-checkers. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The design of Twitter is fundamentally flawed. The whole 140 character limit is responsible for generating snarky come backs. The content is nothing but virtue signaling and insults. It is as if the platform was designed to be a way to post “Yo Mamma is so…” comments. There wasn’t a whole lot of censorship until they allowed attachments so images and video could be posted and thus was born a new platform for memes which are an evolution of political satire cartoons. The Left is terrible at memes and when the Right posts a powerful meme it goes viral and if you cross the invisible line of being way too nuclear to the narrative of the Left, the content is shadow banned and then the poster is suspended and eventually banned.
Twitter is not the public square, Twitter is a battlefield where snarky posts are lobbed back and force like mortar shells. Where one side has an unfair advantage.
Musk is almost as bad as Xiden with his stuttering and stammering. Painful to listen to him. It was like word salad, hard to understand his message. Clear as mud. He has made billions in green subsidies off the taxpayer’s back. That is clear enough to me. This worship of Musk is ridiculous. Until I hear something resembling a cogent thought or clear action of his intent suspicious cat remains suspicious.
There are people that talk, and people that do.
Elon is one of the later.

Something way more sinister is going behind the scene…
We know that Twitter is a front. But we also know that SpaceX requires a lot of government good will to operate (money + regulations).
Not sure Musk is an independent operator though… It is therefore more likely that what we are witnessing is a war of two or more rivaling “clans,” “families” or “groups” inside the government with Musk as a frontman.
Maybe he does have an unspoken motive of wanting to uncover the deep state involvement in Twitter, but the whole initial motive is the fact there is an attack on free speech on mainstream social media. And I think he is insistent on an established social media that encompasses both left and right wing people so that debate can be had. He didn’t just turn to Gab and the like. The fact is, those other alternative social media encompasses only the right as far as I know.
I really don’t think President Trump’s new social media is going to do it. People are on Facebook and they have family and friends that are left wing while they are right wing. They’re not going to stop communicating with them, or look at the pictures and news of the family they post. It’s just not going to happen. No one has come up with a viable alternative to facebook. Example, friend of my parents, a Trump supporter, has just recently joined facebook to keep up with her leftie family members, to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will not quit facebook despite what they do and their political stance.
As for Twitter, which is not about news of the family or friends, but it is more news of the day and debate on that. So, Elon Musk has chosen Twitter because of the constant suspensions, or banning, or silencing, etc. and that it should be an open public platform. How else are the conservatives might “redpill” the Lefties? It won’t be on Gab, it won’t be on GETTR. It’s good we have our own alternatives, but there is no open debate with the Left or giving them correct information.
If President Trump would have taken up on an alternative social media platform that is more free speech while he was President and stopped posting on Twitter, then I’m sure a lot of people, whether they liked or disliked him, would have followed as the Press surely would have followed him. But he didn’t and that opportunity has passed to have gained that momentum. I don’t think starting a new social media company after the fact is going to pull both sides together as a public town square.
A lot of negative thoughts there. “If President Trump had done this, or that, or…” Seems to me that President Trump had quite a bit to do in the short time he was President… and fulfilled a multitude of his pre-election promises… all the while fighting back against the evil that is our government… while the poster above assumes PJDT to be omniscient AND omnipotent. I suggest we should all be thankful that he was able to expose the extent of the corruption.
Yeah, okay, we were begging him to leave Twitter and go somewhere else more open to letting conservatives talk. We’ll see how his social media pans out then, especially with Musk now declaring Twitter is the public square. It will take some big names attractive to both sides to pull others over.

Reminds me of what recently happened. A popular online cooking forum ceased existence and I used to post there also. They sprang the news it was ending and people were scrambling to find a new home to continue the conversation. There is an existing alternative forum but many were not crazy about it but one person said they could create a new website for us. He kept this discussion in a specialized thread instead of starting a new one open on the forum for others to see. Basically what happened was everyone who wanted to continue left and established themselves at the other place as it took over a week of a back and forth for this guy to actually do it. He then created the new forum but it is dead as a doornail as people went ahead with the other existing place instead. The new one will die eventually, he was too late, the moment had passed.
Trumps Truth Social will die because you can’t tell the truth about the clotshot there without censorship or banning. He also made the yuge error of putting business marketing guys in charge of a tech venture. They were pivoting and dictating from a marketing POV and continually shifted directions and goalposts. The tech guys got fed up and quit. Ruby does not have a whole lot of devs to fill those shoes. It is not AJAX like Sundance said.
