Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Caturday, sun, spring!!!!
Perfect song for this morning on my porch with my first cup of coffee! Sang the Doxology to accompany the bird song, and then came to the Treehouse. A little cold here this AM in central AL, 41 degrees, but looks like it will be a beautiful day.
Good Morning Riley!
The treehouse has the smartest branches ☺️ Your branch showed me something new 😊 thanks! ❤️
Not HERE! Spring is delayed.
Hi Rah!! I’m just daydreaming….have snow in my local forecast for nex weeks nights. Ugh 😖

Protect your chickens.
Amazing. 😯
Thank you. Another fine example when the sound of music performance and dance mingle for a fine result.

Hppy Caterday, Treepers. Pet your kities for me. Boots and little Tinkerbell are rejoicing at the return of warmer weather. Going in and out for them is a BIG DEAL. They come in for food, and then come in for food . . . They do this repeatedly. They love being outside but they also love being inside near their food dishes. I’ve put food outside for them but that clearly isn’t what they want. I’ve decided that what they really like is the contrast between outside and inside. It’s the process of going in and out that they like. Of course, me being their indulgent person, who am I do question these kitty preferences? Oh, well. . .
On Twitter, why do people with opposing views follow and comment on the viewpoints and opinions expressed by the author of the original tweet?
Is there an enjoyment in trolling people you disagree with?
This is a serious question.
Pride.
I would say Pilate was not cowardly, just despicably manipulative. Cowardly wasn’t a Roman virtue. They did stoop to it now and then, like after Hannibal repeatedly wiped out their armies.
But you don’t hold conquered territories by ruling with cowardice.
Eventually they revolt. And you have to wipe them out again, gaining yet more loot and slaves. Like everywhere else the Romans ruled.
Have I just uncovered the first deep state conspiracy against the people of the Roman Empire? Trick your subjects into revolting so that you can conquer them again?
Or was that just a natural response to Roman rule? The Romans did have a tendency to totally wipe out places that revolted too many times. Like Carthage. Or Jerusalem.
I think I’ll stick with my first take. The Romans didn’t rule by cowardice.
Exellent point, cowardness is the fake ruling class, the only reality strength they built on what’s now termed peodophilia, the Roman Legions were built on boys growing into men incerted for purpose of abused to abuser, this evil has not changed, the long haired hippy type bloke put it all out there only to be crucified like so many others since.
All through the different evolution of laungage and technology evolved the bullshit phrase ” all roads lead to rome” has been used now for 2000 yrs in the coverup of the true meaning.
The Roman gameplan is no different today than what it was 2000yrs ago with the exception of the slaves ingenuity .
I think you missed the point.
This isn’t about how Romans conquered or ruled generally.
It’s about one how one local Roman governor caved to a Jewish mob clamoring for an innocent man’s death.
When the mob suggested he was “not Caesar’s friend,” he buckled.
Well, the actual point was the wise question.
In that regard, my comment is a distraction. Not meant to be, but it is what it is.
If you look into it more, you will find people who think Pilate was manipulating the Jewish leaders. Playing ‘how badly do you really want this’ and making them beg to get what they want. That way he reinforces that he is in charge and makes them owe him for doing what they want.
But feel free to think Pilate was weak and buckled to their pressure. Neither opinion makes this the important question.
Pilat was just a politician trying to minimize the unrest in a conquered land where strife was a constant. The less Rome heard about unrest the better it was for him.
As you state it was not Pilat which caused Jesus to be crucified, but the jealousy and fear of the Jewish clergy. They were the ones that lead the mob.
The Jews clamored for Christ’s crucifixion; the Romans (Gentiles) obeyed Pilate’s order and carried it out.
All are guilty.
“…so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone” “. . . that through death He might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil” ” . . . And being made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him” (Hebrews 2:9,14; 5:9 ESV).
Amen.
Sean Hannity claims over 90% of the Roman rank and file were good people.
Here’s some music history . . .
50 years. Hard to believe this was so long ago . . . 🙂
I met Burdon, drunk a few, he wasn’t drinking at the time, took a keen interest in listening to the non-suckarses, 80s by memory, good bloke.
yup – you nailed it
You got to me, Flyover:
“Oh! even now, you can recite the words to many, many songs from various genre and just a few notes of a song’s introduction takes you back immediately to that first time you heard it, where you were and who you were with…”
My head nodding, my eyes teared up.
When I was young I was playing LPs and 45s at home, listening to songs on my transistor radio, and the car radio was always on and tuned to my station when I was in it as passenger, then later as driver.
The good music permeated us in the 1960s-70s.
It became part of the fabric of our being…this is why the memories and feelings that Flyover wrote about come back so readily when a trigger song begins.
Sad that they can’t reconcile even to make music together again. I have their first album – vinyl, and have played it millions of times since my teens. Their combined voices and their lyrics still speak to my heart.
Here is one you might not have seen Garrison. They spoke of “Woodstock” being written by Joni Mitchell. Here is Joni performing it and describing what inspired her to write it back in 1970.

Capitol and Vee Jay Records settle their feud out of court over the rights to recordings by The Beatles. Capitol contended in the suit that Vee Jay’s rights to the Beatles had been cancelled on August 8th 1963 for non-payment of royalties. Vee Jay was forced to stop selling “From Me To You”, “Please Please Me”, “Love Me Do” and other early Beatle releases.

NATIONAL FORMER PRISONER OF WAR RECOGNITION DAY – APRIL 9
Since the Revolutionary War, over half a million service members have been captured. This number does not reflect those lost or never recovered.
This day honors the courageous men and women who have endured brutal treatment at the hands of their captors. As a result, they’ve also suffered separation from family and displayed incredible endurance and faith during their captivity.
On this day in 1942, the largest number of U.S. Forces were captured by Japanese troops in the Bataan Peninsula in the Philippines. After battling through extreme conditions and prolonged battles, the captured troops were forced to march 65 miles to the prison camp. Without medical attention, food or water thousands died. The mistreatment continued for those who survived the brutal journey. In the compounds, deep in the unfamiliar jungle, the hardships, brutality, and suffering lasted more than two years for those who could survive.
God Bless All Those That Have Served Our Nation!
WW II POWs of the Japanese generally lived 10 years less than those that had been POWs of the Germans.
As US forces invaded the Philippines the Japanese started murdering the POWs that remained there. Many of the prisoners had already been shipped to Japan for slave labor on “hell ships”. Some of those never made it because the Japanese ships they were being transported in were sunk by US submarines. There was no way for the US submariners to know that a ship was carrying POWs.
Those that remained in the Philippines were generally those who were in poor enough physical condition that they were unlikely to survive the ordeal of a hell ship and would be of no use for slave labor. They were “The Ghosts of Bataan and Corregidor”. There were some Brits and Aussies among them. They were the sick, lame, blind, etc… IOW they were totally a liability to the Japanese who by this time were getting desperate enough to start using Kamikazes.
US forces had invaded Luzon and were fighting in Manila. Cabanatuan, where the largest POW camp was located was north of Manila. Word had reached US forces through the Filipinos that that soon the POWs at the camp would be exterminated.
Thus was mounted an effort to rescue the POWs. The US force that would make the attempt was the 6th US Army Ranger Battalion assisted by a Filipino unit called The Alamo Scouts. The Filipinos moving through friendly country they had grown up in served as the recon element and during the approach. Then during the raid, aided by other local Filipino Guerrilla elements, would serve as a blocking force on the main avenues of approach to the camp to delay any Japanese forces attempting to reinforce the camp garrison.
The raid was the most successful POW rescue mission in the history of warfare. It is an epic story in both unconventional warfare and bravery.
When the Ghosts of Bataan and Corregidor returned to the US the ship that was carrying most of them passed under the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco on its way to the docks. Flowers, money, even theater tickets, rained down upon them from the bridge above.
An excellent account of this raid can be read in: The Great Raid on Cabanatuan: Rescuing the Doomed Ghosts of Bataan and Corregidor: Breuer, William B.: 9780471037422: Amazon.com: Books
It makes no sense to ship mouths to feed when you are desperately in need of food and oil and other war time needs. Yet the Japanese did ship these malnourished slaves. And they did plan to kill them.
Those sufferers that lived must be grateful that their torture was extended instead of being killed earlier. Not that anyone would be grateful that they were tortured and starved and enslaved, but grateful that they weren’t killed.
They were growing their own crops as POWs in most of the camps outside Japan and that was the only way they would get fed. Japan was not a signatory of the Geneva Conventions, and thus were not required under international law to abide by them.
In many cases the Japanese did try to at least abide by the convention law which said that POWs must be fed the same as the military which was their captors. However the Japanese ration had about 2/3rds of the calories that the US ration did and the larger Americans and Europeans and all suffered from malnutrition and the diseases associated with it to one extent or another.
The Japanese also refused to distribute the Red Cross packages that were sent for Allied POWs because if they had the captors would have been eating better than their guards. And the guards were eating better than the average civilian.
At the POW camp where the “Special Prisoners” were held that the Japanese refused to report the conditions were even worse. Gregory “Pappy” Boyington and the skipper of the USS Tang, Dick O’Kane (The best US submarine Ace of the war) were both “Special Prisoners”. Boyington recalled eating a whole bone like a dog would he was so hungry.
The Japanese civilians had been under partial rationing since 1938 and full rationing since 1941. By 1943 the average Japanese civilian was only getting about 80% of the caloric intake deemed necessary for long term sustenance.
As more and more fit men were inducted into the Army the ability to grow the rice and other crops needed to feed the people of Japan decreased. And so over half of the rice for Japan was coming from Korea leaving the Koreans to subsist on wheat usually deemed only suitable for livestock feed.
The largest number of Japanese troops were stationed in CBI (China, Burma, Indian) theater. The Japanese Army in China often plan offensives targeted towards productive areas for the harvest time of the rice and other crops so as to be able to feed themselves.
Also the Japanese logistics were very inefficient. Ships were under the jurisdiction of the Army, Navy, and various industrial organizations and they did not coordinate with each other so often ships ran long distances empty because they were only in the service of the particular organization they belonged to.
Add that to the fact that from the beginning of the war Japan only had about 2/3rds of the merchant ships they needed and that quickly got worse from 1943 on as US subs started sinking them at a prodigious rate.
Thanks for all the details.
One more fact. The US knew about the order to kill the POWs and many other things about how the POWs were to be treated. They had broken that code and thus could read the messages and orders being sent to the Japanese commanders of the various areas.
But there was nothing they could do. To protest or report it to the American people or to anyone else would reveal they were reading the Japs encoded transmissions.
Fascinating!
Thanks for posting that, rah.
Your welcome. I wish that more people would learn about how tough it was. Especially our younger citizens. This kind of stuff simply is not taught though.
I hope you enjoy Rah.
Ghost Soldiers is another good one (I think I got the title right). During the pre-rescue part of their captivity they were trying their best to be in reasonable physical health and though that they looked pretty good. When the Rangers showed up, the POWS thought they must be Supermen because of their physical presence. Another interesting point was one day, as the Japs knew the GIs were coming, the prisoners woke up and there were no guards, no Japanese–they had no idea what to do

Happy Caturday, y’all
This one came from a photo spread I’ve seen before, it’s at a wharf where there are hollow spaces under the pavement and holes in the paved surface, and a colony of feral cats living in burrows underneath. Photographer caught this little guy peeking his head up
” I’m a man of means, by no means
KING OF THE ROAD..”
Now THAT’S cute!
Lil’ dude on the right appears to be smiling.
Meanwhile, to my right on the couch, is 19 pounds of female Maine Coon…….who tries her BEST to fit in any sort of container that would hold her. Orrrrrr not!
About a week ago I got a call about a small job so I went to “check it out”, an old secluded farmhouse occupied by a little old man is what I found upon arrival.
Invited inside for a cup of tea I sat in the lounge room looking at all the pictures on the walls, he came back with my tea and an alcoholic beverage for himself, this was 10 am.
On the mantlepeice sat a statue of Jesus with half burnt candles either side, no other religious items were present, I said nothing about the little Alta as like I’ve said here before “It’s none of my business”.
We talked for hours discovering common ground on nearly all fronts, no stoop in his younger days, one of them little blokes you don’t mess with, we call em “knockabouts” here , a term that demands respect.
Our conversation led back to heritage, both (I’ll say) Bill and I not only come from similar backgrounds but both Irish Catholic Descent, I related my pedigree but left out my main relative in this regard as sort of “I don’t lag or brag” sence that is common to do here, well he took the challenge with words I won’t repeat.
Fast forward a week, yesterday in fact, I go and do the job and another round of conversation ensued , this time though Bill was prepared, I asked about the little Alta and got the prompt reply “I believe in God so f*ckin what !
This is exactly the attitude I have previously pointed out here.
Our belief systems were so similar you could swap em, he also when younger took a great deal of pleasure bashing peodophile’s , Mungrel was very impressed !
Bill showed me his Irish / Australian/ Religious Pedigree.
First a beautiful painting called ” The Chalace Tree”, then the story unfolded.
His direct relative line goes back to the pommy persecution of Catholics in the 1500s, he’s great, great, ect was a Preist, forced to do mass in secrecy in a secluded forest the mass was discovered and the Preist murder on the spot.
The Chalace was then stolen.
Hence “The Chalace Tree” as under the tree whist giving mass the Preist was murdered, the congregation outed also.
The Chalace resurfaced in 1735 and Bill showed me pictures, I wrote the inscription down, inscribed in Latin :
COK . ME .FIERI . FECIT . ANNO . DOMINI . 1590
The name : ” The O’Keeffe Chalace”.
Mungrel made new freind.
If it wasn’t for you mob I wouldn’t have bothered writing down the inscription, I thought one of you mob might like to translate 😁 !
Goodaye Mungrel. What an adventure you had! And a new friend to boot!!!!!! ☺️ Thanks for sharing! ❤️

Morning, Cat💓 What a story. Mungrel’s life is one right after another, and none of them dull. Thanks for providing that link. Once I get that first cup of tea, I’ll be looking at it.
Goodbye, son! Very interesting ew friend you’ve got. Got to run now, quite a busy day ahead.
Cheers.
Good morning, G💓
Good Morning grandpa ❤️
I AM impressed with your encounter, Mungrel, as Cat has said💓. All those nondescript roads we travel, the banal every day paths we take , expecting nothing, but finding a treasure along the way. A sign, it seems. At least I choose to look at it that way, and so I find joy for you in that story. It’s wonderful, and told in your usual beautiful way.
We all know God is everywhere but I think especially in places where we may least expect to meet Him. I’m so glad you took the time to write this. And I’m overjoyed that you found your way here, where we know He is. Little gifts that really aren’t so little, I think. I’ve always thought you were a remarkable man, and I can’t imagine our tree without you. LBT💓
Good Morning Betsy ❤️ mungrel’s story was a beautiful surprise to accompany my morning coffee. The paths the treehouse leads us on are truly led by God, imo. 🥰
And it can’t go unsaid, your branch must be near the top. I can’t imagine this tree without any of its branches!!! They’re all amazing!!!! ❤️
So true, Cat! As I’ve said a few times, I read this site for a lonnng time before I climbed up to an unoccupied branch. I never thought of commenting. But Sundance’s sudden expulsion from WordPress to where he is now necessitated my signing in, which I did, not intending to comment at all. But as WP has said of himself, Something gave me a nudge, and so I jumped on that branch. I am so glad I did. My life is richer for it, dear friend. Thank you💓
Betsy, what is LBT?
Good morning, Slowcobra💓
I’m so glad you asked! LBT is a nickname Mungrel’s gave to me presumably because I’m so forthright and opinionated in what I post. It stands for “Little Big Thunder”… which fits because I am short and shrinking daily (unfortunately). The smaller the vessel, the louder the noise, as I tend to think. Blessings to you, Sc.
Oh! Ok, thanks, I must’ve missed that!
thank you for your blessings! And to you as well!
A fascinating story!
Thanks for sharing that story mungrel.
Nice, when art was art and painting was feeling art .
Thank you, Dora! Such pure, sweet voices!!
Absolutely lovely!
Thank you, Dora!

Have You Seen Jesus?
After that, He appeared in another form to two of them… —Mark 16:12
Being saved and seeing Jesus are not the same thing. Many people who have never seen Jesus have received and share in God’s grace. But once you have seen Him, you can never be the same. Other things will not have the appeal they did before.
You should always recognize the difference between what you see Jesus to be and what He has done for you. If you see only what He has done for you, your God is not big enough. But if you have had a vision, seeing Jesus as He really is, experiences can come and go, yet you will endure “as seeing Him who is invisible” (Hebrews 11:27). The man who was blind from birth did not know who Jesus was until Christ appeared and revealed Himself to him (see John 9). Jesus appears to those for whom He has done something, but we cannot order or predict when He will come. He may appear suddenly, at any turn. Then you can exclaim, “Now I see Him!” (see John 9:25).
Jesus must appear to you and to your friend individually; no one can see Jesus with your eyes. And division takes place when one has seen Him and the other has not. You cannot bring your friend to the point of seeing; God must do it. Have you seen Jesus? If so, you will want others to see Him too. “And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either” (Mark 16:13). When you see Him, you must tell, even if they don’t believe.
O could I tell, you surely would believe it!
O could I only say what I have seen!
How should I tell or how can you receive it,
How, till He bringeth you where I have been?
WISDOM FROM OSWALD CHAMBERS
For the past three hundred years men have been pointing out how similar Jesus Christ’s teachings are to other good teachings. We have to remember that Christianity, if it is not a supernatural miracle, is a sham.
Ever think about the time Gods word was written, recorded. A fraction of time.
Empires rise and fall but God is eternal.
We are at a very uncertain place with our current nation and world. Evil has been allowed to proliferate and push aside Gods eternal rewards.
We have attached ourselves to temporary things, evil things that will have to be destroyed. Does anyone see this?
When you attach yourself to God, you are attached to eternity, to all God offers. Regardless of feelings or loves God is the only way.
When a man says he is a woman because he feels as such God says your feelings do not matter it is your role in life to be a man, the best man you can be.
Not an addict, or a liar, or an adulterer, murderers.
Your feelings do not matter, you were not created for sin, separation from God.
It’s nothing we all cannot see, it is much easier to allow than to stand in truth. But, as all now are realizing, there is no end to being cancelled for your beliefs.
Be canceled for truth and your victory is sure. Truth always wins, it is eternal, of God.
That our children are being used by Satan himself is clear to me and millions of others. That there are millions more, apparently, who are prepared to offer our unspoiled gifts from God as sacrifices to a perverted cult is something which is beyond my ken to understand. All it would take to stop this particular madness would be for all doctors to say, “NO!! We will NOT participate in mutilation, nor will we join you in your madness!”
I haven’t heard one voice from this now debauched “profession” speak out and refuse to do what the government is ordering. And the DoJ and HHS are threatening to destroy, by force of regulation or prosecution, those who will not act as ordered.
This includes abortions (even and especially by Catholic and other Christian hospitals and doctors, private though they be). In California laws are being passed which make perfectly legal abortions for women at any time and up to 7 days after a live birth. State sanctioned murder for a procedure that once was touted as “safe, legal, and rare” after Roe was judged constitutional.
And now? The most wicked physical destruction of those who are simply pawns for the insane mob. How on earth did we get to this point and overnight as well it seems?
Children shouldn’t be deciding if they want to be a boy or girl. God already did that for them.
I stole that. It’s true. And that should be final.🙏
I have re-read my post above and feel the need to clarify.
It is the Catholic and other Christian hospitals feeling the ungodly heavy hand of government which is trying to force those entities with elimination if they will not perform abortions and mutilations. I pray cases will be brought and that the inhuman demands of those despicable agencies will be finally and forever crushed.
Betsy, I am going to send your post on to my family members and friends.
All true.
The Holy Spirit has spoken through you to many, many others.
Oh my, aDoozy. You’ve given me such a gift. One of my prayers includes the request that when I open my mouth or post (and here is the only place I do so) I ask that the Holy Spirit guide me and my choice of words. Thank you. 💓 And may His blessings be with you and your family and friends.🙏

More proof of the driver shortage.
Walmart Will Now Offer Up To $110,000 Salary For New Drivers, Announces 12-Week Training Program | The Daily Wire
When I first started driving a big truck Walmart only hired experienced drivers with a spotless safety record.
To this day driving for Walmart is one of the most desirable jobs out there. Good pay. Though your out for five days you know exactly what, where, and when your doing the work before you go and the times to get to the various destinations are more than reasonable.
That is not, and has not been the case for truck drivers. Several drivers, including three that I know of that were doing the same on-call job I am, have gone to Walmart. All of them were white males.
If I were younger I would have gone too. But it makes no sense for me since I’m getting near the end of my driving career and have high seniority where I am. I’m not giving up my three weeks paid vacation a year. Besides that, I still get more home time than I would get as a Walmart driver.
Good morning rah. what do you know about water tables on the Pacific coast? I have pictures taken 17 years ago where streams and springs were gushing. now, they trickle. any ideas will help our general discussions about same amount of rain but where is the water. thanks, merrie
Southern California has enjoyed a good period of having far more precipitation than they would normally get as relative to the long term average. Now, with greater population and agricultural needs they are in trouble.
Quite simply, that arid land cannot support the number of people and the agriculture they currently have in the long term. Their problem has been somewhat delayed by taking water from other states, but now those states have developed more and have increased population also.

I once met Roy Clark and Buck Owens. I had the opportunity to watch a private filming of Hee Haw in the studios in Nashville. They were both incredibly nice to us. Roy Clark had incredible guitar skills. I was also impressed with the studio band. These guys could do anything that was asked. There was one song that was a bit high and Roy Clark asked if it could be dropped a half a step. The band said sure and started up without a capo in sight.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.
AMEN.

Hopefully, he, like each of us, takes advantage of what time is left to repent of sins.
The lesson I teach this week is from Isaiah 46-47. In Isaiah 47 we find this:
10 You felt secure in your wickedness;
you said, “No one sees me”;
your wisdom and your knowledge led you astray,
and you said in your heart,
“I am, and there is no one besides me.”
11 But evil shall come upon you,
which you will not know how to charm away;
disaster shall fall upon you,
for which you will not be able to atone;
and ruin shall come upon you suddenly,
of which you know nothing.
This passage is about the destruction of ancient Babylon. However, there is a New Testament theme in Revelation around the resurgence of a Babylonian system that will be destroyed at the end of the age. In reality, the Babylonia system is a condition of man’s depravity and it is the destruction of that system that will be central to the judgement of Christ when He returns.
I notice the similarities to the enemies that we face today. “Secure in wickedness” is a perfect description. They think they are unseen, but God sees. They think wisdom and knowledge makes them like a god. They claim, “I am, and there is no one besides me,” but only God can make this claim. Evil, disaster and ruin will be their fate.
We must all pray for them – that they will repent, turn away from wickedness and turn to God. All of them, especially the notorious ones that we despise.
God still performs these miracles for us. When we face wickedness, evil, disaster, God is there to, cause “ruin…suddenly…” to our foe.
God took charge, directly in my life, against evil, “…ruin will be their fate.”
Godspeed, and in thanks to His grace.
Romans 8:28
He does, poyeema, but sometimes we have to wait for them. I’ve been the recipient of many, and the most glorious I’ve had to wait years for…but they came, all through His timing. His is always work in progress. Trust and patience and faith are everything.
I have prayed that the eyes and hearts of the people who are now working on Satan’s behalf will be opened and changed. I can only hope that His will will allow what I’ve prayed for to come to pass.

Good Morning Ms Idaho 🙋♀️
Finished settling in?
We are ‘in’. Finding things I know are here is a challenge.
Then, Monday, I began to fight a cold. Now that I am doing better, Doc has it.
Bah, humbug…
So, we have not had a chance to visit the pool or exercise room – but we will!
Frank field where are you?
perhaps I missed a post (?), but I haven’t seen frank in quite a few days now.
Doc had a career opportunity to do ‘plastic surgery’. He opted for ENT and HNS (head & neck surgery) instead. Why? Because no matter how you ‘fashion’ a person’s face or body it is always ‘wrong’. As you surmise, the problem is not ‘physical’, it is mental.
Its another thing to fix something that is broken, and he did lots of that.
I commented to Betsy Jones yesterday “the beauty of your soul shines with a blinding light”
That got me to thinking (always a dangerous thing to have happen)
What if?
What if Satan’s focus is on the physical ‘body’. Look, your nose is too big. Look, your butt is too small. Look, you need to lift weights and ‘bulk up’. Don’t even mention being overweight – bulimia and anorexia are devastating problems.
No matter what you do, you are ugly.
What was that old joke? Beauty is only skin deep – but ugly goes clear to the bone…
What if God doesn’t ‘see’ your physical body, but the light shining from your soul? What if we are all lights of different colors and intensities, lighting up our universe? Reflecting light like different size and cuts of gems?
And no, I am not referencing Bushes’ thousand points of light’ garbage.
I’d best go get my morning cup of coffee.
Have a fun, Blessed day
Brilliant!!!!!!
I like the pre-coffee thoughts you have, Ms Idaho ❤️ 😊
miłej zabawy, błogosławionego dnia !!!!
😘
hugs back at’cha
Afternoon, ms idaho💓
How interesting your piece is. You’ve hit on the reason I prefer British productions over the drek Hollywood and attendant companies produce. Watch any British production and you will see actors who look like anyone you might encounter on the street there. Fat, thin, big noses nor not, old with all the physical attributes that go with that age, young..as God made them and as He has made us all. It really allows the viewer to focus on the plots and the acting as opposed to the body (in most cases) unbeautiful. The actors character shines through.
The unattractive penchant here in America to judge books by their covers is sad to me. Someone I once knew did just that, and I was the recipient of that judging. It ruined forever how I viewed him. It’s too bad people have so little recognition of what they are as opposed to how they look that they think plastic surgery on the outside will fix the in.
And I’m not disparaging the profession. Lives after burns or accidents have been restored by a surgeon’s skills. God’s gift to doctors who can do that is not to be disparaged, but rather celebrated and given thanks for. I just wish more people would simply “let their little light shine”. That God given light can make someone so much more beautiful than any plastic surgeon can.
There…those are my thoughts on your musings😉. All blessings to you and Doc. You both must be shattered after your move. There is nothing like a cold to make one appreciate good health. I always forget how rotten one can make me feel. The standard ” treatment” in the UK was whiskey, hot water and lemon to bring it out. I never tried it because I hate the taste of whiskey. But everyone else swore by it. I never argued. Hope you both are back to full strength in short order🙏💓
Betsy
Love your comments on my comment 🙂
Re judging others – I always liked ‘watch what they do, not what they say’.
Re: treatment for our colds. We used to have a sip of Brandy on a daily basis. Somewhere along the line we lost our taste for it. Wine once a week is ‘hovering’ on no-go.
On the other hand – I bought some chicken bullion. Microwave some water, add bullion and voila – soothing to sip.
Also, from years of selling nutrition ‘stuff’, we have a sore throat tincture, a cough, cold and flu tincture, Elderberry blend, phyto biotic (herbal) blend – and that’s in addition to our regular ‘stuff’. Oh, and lots of scoops of anti viral, anti bacterial monolaurin (coconut oil concentrate).
Annoying, but bad effects minimal … No Covid, no clot shots.
My big regret is that I really want to get Doc to the exercise room and me moving in the pool. Probably next week (to be safe)
Other than that, we are adjusting to our new digs. We had an early war getting the TV to work with the Roku connection. And just yesterday I got my printer to talk to my computer. I had to buy a few things we need here.
We can’t really cook. Its not a problem with cooking, per se. But we only have the bathroom for cleanup. Have to be careful not to get leftovers into the sink and clog it up. Doc keeps saying – use the garbage disposal (the one from the apartment)
My plan is that we will have a minimal breakfast, a main meal out or TV type dinner, and a snacky type ‘dinner’. With luck I’ll be able to shed a few pounds (between a better diet and exercise)
All in all, despite the ‘work’ of moving, I think we’ll be much better off here.
I always think whatever works, and it sounds as if, like me, you’ve worked out a regimen that delivers the best chance of perfect recovery.
As for the chicken buillion, I love that as well. But on coming back here I found all brands too salty. Just like when I moved overseas, I wondered why the Brits put no sugar (or very little) in their cookies (biscuits, as they are called over there). By the time i returned, I couldn’t eat a cookie made here! Too much sugar! I’ve not looked on Amazon, but we have a British Emporium where I live that has all our faves from the UK…at exorbitant prices I admit…including things for which I have not found here an adequate replacement.
One of those things is a range of stock cubes under the name “Oxo ” (beef, chicken, veg) that are the absolute best for either cooking or, as for a cup of something warm. Depending on how strong you like your cup, you can add extra water to taste. If I don’t have their beef cubes I will NOT make a pot roast. That’s how much I love them…so much less salt. I pass that on for what it’s worth💓.
We have a Roku box and love it!. We can get all things British on it for a start. My husband is a hook up all tech genius, so we had no trouble, but if I had to do it??? It wouldn’t happen. So glad yours is working. We cut the cord long ago. We are into our seventh watching of “Foyle’s War”…SO SO good! It’s our “telly comfort food” when we simply want to relax and marinate in exceptional television from across the pond (on Acorn, btw).
If you’re like us, you’ll work out a meal routine that suits. Once you’ve got that down, I hope you’ll start feeling “at home” once again🤗. In the meantime, I know you’re a woman who has made a lot of adjustments in your life, some on purpose…others not. In the end, it’s who you have by your side, and not so much where you are that counts. You know what I mean, I think.
So y’all get well and stay active. God WILL be with you.💓
ha ha
question for you
is it possible to do anything without God?
when we shopped there were only 2 brands of bullion – I didn’t buy Wylers
Getting to know Roku. The only one I’ve found so far (that I can get back to) is Midsomer Murders. Time will help me find more. Thanks for the tip re: Acorn.
Watching Real America’s Voice prep for the rally. They may or may not be better than RSBN – but I like the speakers better. RSBN has an enthusiastic woman whom neither of us can understand or follow. We have wished they’d get her some voice lessons – alas…
Assuming Trump will be ‘fashionably late’, as usual, plan to pop some popcorn in a little bit.
Midsommer Murders is super…and so many episodes. I’ll take a run through Britbox and offer suggestions. There are plenty of good ones, older ones, which have stood the test of time. Unfortunately, most of the newer offerings have leaned towards an overdose of women. Woke, doncha know. I’ll post the titles for your perusal😉
And I do believe in my heart that no, it is not possible to do anything for His glory without Him…even the smallest, seemingly the most insignificant things. As I admonish myself, do it with joy, or not at all. 🙏💓
Oh…one suggestion! on BB, look for the “Vera” series. Really outstanding. And my favourite “Shetland”. Now that one (several series) is just wonderful. We have watched them all several times.
I’ll have to start a new folder dedicated to your suggestions.
in general I do OK with over the air TV – but the constant Medicare and Omega XL ads get on my nerves.
One of Abraham Lincolns stories.
A man came up to Lincoln and said “I have something I think belongs to you”.
Lincoln responded “How can that be?”
The man said “Long ago a man gave me a pocket knife. He said he was giving it to me because I was the ugliest man he had ever seen. I think your the ugliest man I have ever seen. Even uglier than me! So here is the knife.”
😂😂😂….good one, rah!! Thank you!

The peoples’ republic of Washington DC is happy with their new communist, “I don’t know the definition of a woman,” woman Supreme Court Justice.
Ha! This morning I was arguing with my oldest Grandaughter about abortion. She said I simply could not understand because I don’t have a uterus. Later the conversation moved on the politics and she said there should be an age limit on how old a president can be. Then she got into how old people lose their mental acuity and such. I told her she could not speak to that because she is not aged!
Age and experience will take care of a lot of those opinions, rah, as you well know. If she’s lucky the awakening will happen sooner rather than later. We love them no matter what😉💓
She, with her soldier husband are now over at his parents house since he just got back from Korea and hadn’t seen them yet.
After our conversation I sent her these two e-mails. First this meme stolen from here posted by Mopar 2020:
Followed immediately by this one titled “I’m sorry I couldn’t help it”
“I remember watching you be born and holding you when you were maybe 15 minutes out of the womb. You, and all babies, are one of God’s creations as far as I’m concerned and my life would be poorer without you.
I could not have cared less about the pair of my sweat pants your mother was wearing when her water broke.”
Oh how lovely!!!! And hahaha!!! 😁 It sounds as if you both have an incredible bond. Just the best!
