There is a rather remarkable indictment against congressman Henry Cuellar (D-Texas, CD-28) that everyone should read. You might remember that Cuellar was openly critical of the Biden border crisis in the latter half of 2021. Approximately a few weeks after Cuellar was openly and strongly criticizing Biden, FBI agents raided his home {BACKSTORY}.
At the time of the FBI raid (January 2022), everyone noted the visible connection between Cuellar’s criticism of Biden and the launch of the DOJ investigation against him. The timing was just too convenient.
Last Friday an indictment was unsealed. Representative Cuellar and his wife are each charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit bribery of a federal official and to have a public official act as an agent of a foreign principal, two counts of bribery of a federal official, two counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, two counts of violating the ban on public officials acting as agents of a foreign principal, one count of conspiracy to commit concealment money laundering, and five counts of money laundering.
Interestingly, the charges and the activity date back to 2014 and continue over the next ten years culminating in the indictment a decade later.
I would strongly urge people to read THE 54-PAGE INDICTMENT.
What you realize when you read the indictment is exactly what we have talked about on these pages for well over a decade, the business end of American politics. Cuellar and his wife are a case study in how the average federal politician gets wealthy from selling their office.
All of the DC politicians participate in this type of influence selling. There are ZERO federal elected officials who do not participate in this process. And within that dynamic, we find the answer to how the Intelligence Community exists to control all of the DC political systems without any checks in their authority.
One of the primary reasons the Intelligence Community was so fast to join the effort to eliminate the threat Donald Trump, represented in 2016, was specifically due to the lack of corrupt activity (IC blackmail) that could be leveraged against him. Absent the ability to control the target, the IC must create leverage.
The intelligence institutions, in collaboration with the weaponized justice institutions, created the fourth branch of government. It was this system that was fine-tuned by Barack Obama and Eric Holder to target their political opposition.
Representative Henry Cuellar is a warning to the other compromised people in Washington DC not to challenge the administrative state. The “six ways to Sunday” groups will focus on anyone who threatens the system or breaks the code of Omerta.
Don’t read anyone else’s interpretation of it; instead, read the indictment [SEE HERE]. Then ask yourself if the DOJ/FBI knew this stuff for so long, why did they wait?
“I want to be clear that both my wife and I are innocent of these allegations. Everything I have done in Congress has been to serve the people of South Texas,” Cuellar said in his statement, later adding: “The actions I took in Congress were consistent with the actions of many of my colleagues and in the interest of the American people.” (LINK)
Why am I not reading a similar document pertaining to Relative 1 of the current WH occupant? The allegations are darn near similar.

Thank you for the expanded answer. Another thing they do is to take someone who is “clean” (no one is 100% clean so that’s a relative term) and find out what dirt they’re most susceptible to and then tempt/trap them with it. Then there’s family members.
Trump was not so owned. Schumer’s comment was aimed at him. Schumer was instead saying IC is corrupt in its power-seeking.
President Trump should save this indictment template for his next term. He can use it at least 535 times more in the next administration.

I read the indictment. Henry Cuellar and his wife, from the evidence within, look to be representing the interests of a foreign Country for sure. FARA and other violations seem to be obvious.
For sure, everyone in DC is doing this exact same thing – either taking money from a foreign Country, or a lobby group, a corporation, or a non-profit. Though the source of the money varies, the fact that they are collecting money from someone that is beyond the jurisdiction that they are SUPPOSED TO BE REPRESENTING (i.e., their district) is a constant.
For example, take the indictment, change out Henry Cuellar and his wife’s names and replace with Senator Joe Biden and his brother (and Hunter) and change the government to Ukraine, etc. and the indictment remains valid.
Rinse and repeat for everyone else in Congress and most other positions within our Federal government.
There was a movie not sure the name Because I believe more than one had this scene, but they hand you an envelope full of money each month or week and say “here this is your cut” to the new guy. He did nothing but he sure loves the money. Over time it becomes apparent he has to do illegal activities and he has accepted the cash already.
I suspect congress is just that way. Most I’m sure seek that out, I’ve been around too many people, most people who would sell their grandma for that opportunity.

I recall reading an article at least ten years ago now coming from a foreign press about how incredibly expensive it was to ‘do business’ in the United States Congress. I was stunned at the time by the brazen acknowledgement that our government was for sale and that the price tag was high. Foreign entities (this article stated) factored 10% of the entire project’s cost for bribe money to obtain Congressional backing. Needless to say, that was the moment I realized that bribery in our Congress was an open secret.

The part I like (I did read the entire indictment) was how Cuellar, as an elected official, had a fiduciary duty to represent the citizens of his district without corruption. This is true for all congresmen and women, and all Senators. It is true for all elected officials. Yet it happens to all our elected officials, and likely some appointed officials. WE ARE IN TIME WHERE WE ARE GETTING TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!! That is what started the Revolutionary War. Is there a way to stop this? I feel pretty sure the authors of our Constitution, a great document, had no idea the amount of money that would be spent corrupting this representation.
Lobbying is just a nice word for legalized bribery. Howard Hughes made this clear after WWII when he told Congress that he needed to wine and dine the military brass in order to get aeronautics contracts because that’s what the military brass demanded in order to award contracts.
The Keating 5 scandal. They asked Keating if he was trying to buy influence. His response was something like: Why else would I be doing this?
Maybe Cuellar’s statement about he only did what many more in congress do all the time is a shot at the administration that he’s not above taking down the whole lot of them.
But, then again, he may have put an enormous target on his back to be eliminated in another case of what’s commonly called Arkancide, even if it doesn’t involve the Clintons.

IF, I were congressman Henry Cuellar, I would seek out every television appearance, television camera, anyone with a microphone and social media and start naming the people that have done the same things.
