The official position of Democrat party, and the official position of the White House, is that elementary teachers should be talking to kindergarten students about gender, sexuality and transitional guidance without parental notification or involvement.
A few years ago, that official position – promoted from the podium at the White House – would likely have been considered radical. In a climate where technology, popular culture and influence is recognized as a social currency by the political class on the coasts, what was radical is now their platform.
However, staking this position comes with inherent risks, as highlighted by a Harvard/Harris poll released today [DATA HERE], showing that two-thirds of the people responding to the question do not agree with the DNC and White House:

67% of all respondents believe sexuality discussions for grades K-3 should be left to parents. 33% support schools teaching sexuality to 5 to 9-year-olds.
While 51% of Democrats agree that teachers should be involved, only 17% of Republicans and 31% of Independents agree.
I wonder if the response statistics would change if only “parents” were polled?

When I emailed the superintendent to question if one teacher should remain in the classroom, I received a five paragraph response. Her point was that they were totally unaware that a KINDERGARTEN male teacher complained about not being able to discuss his homelife with his partner during instructional classroom atmosphere. Yeah, and homeschoolers in particular don’t enjoy the schools getting $10,000 in taxes per student while a homeschool mom gets absolutely none of that and usually does a better job for 1% to 5% of the price, and doesn’t even get an educator tax credit. But if there’s one thing worse than paying public schools for a job we’re doing, it’s getting government money and the government strings attached.
Yes, these are complicated things which should be considered. The “system” which served us well for many years, is no longer functioning to benefit the USA society as a whole.

Teacher’s job is to teach what’s on the sylabus. If there is an issue umrelated to the subject matters, it is the Parent’s place to address it…. Not the Teacher. The Teacher’s job is to teach the course and notify the parents of anything they, as the adults responsible for a minor, should be made aware. The child/minor is not the client in this dynamic.
What Biden is arranging is industrial scale grooming of children by co-opting the rightful duty of the schools, paid for by the taxpayers, and perverting that duty into an agenda of psychological manipulation of the undeveloped minds of children so that they believe the lie that they can change their biological sex, that is determined by their DNA, by surgery that is mutilation of their genitals and by hormone blockers and hormone enhancers that alters their body chemistry and that have to be taken for life. We need to pray for God to stop this assault on children’s precious minds and pray for any specific actions to take, such as: contacting sympathetic federal and state legislators to block Biden’s efforts; drafting new legislation to stop the spread of pedophilia by way of public education; running for local school board and other positions of influence; attending school board meetings and demanding the ability to monitor classrooms either in person or be video; requiring that parents be able to review and approve all written materials available in the classroom and libraries; and requiring that school nurses must record all information about puberty blockers and other transgender-related matters in children’s files and that parents have the right to access these files at any time. There could be several other actions that prayer will reveal. But we cannot sit by stunned and feeling helpless in the face of this unprecedented war against small children who are both vulnerable mentally and are unable to understand and respond to the aggression. Instead, we adults have no choice but to respond for them because we are ultimately responsible for what happens to these children who depend on us to defend them against this war on their minds and bodies that would render them physically unable to reproduce and ruin their chance to have normal family lives and human dignity.

I’ve known some bikers who are great people.]
To take it a bit further, a lot of people are into gun culture. I like guns and have no problem with that. Now if a teacher brought a bag of loaded guns to the Kindergarten class and let the five-year-olds handle them without their parents’ knowledge or consent, I would have a problem with that. We would rightly say that children do not have the presence of mind or appreciation of consequences to handle firearms at five.
What if a teacher really wants to teach them how to drive a car? Does the teacher get to decide?
Yet teachers want to talk to five-to-eight-year-olds about topics that are complicated for adults. What if they want to talk to your little Suzy about getting a full-face tattoo and a disk in her earlobe. Are you cool with that, progressive parents?

What would a lesson plan even look like to teach about sexuality to a 4-9-year-old? I am a baby boomer, a 70-year-old middle child of 5 children. Most of what I learned growing up was from my older siblings and schoolmates. In school, we learned about “stranger safety.” In high school, we watched films about STDs and what not to do in sexual relationships. We had to get permission slips to even attend such lessons. I knew how babies were created by the time I was 8 – got in trouble for telling my babysitter’s daughter the facts, followed by a sigh of relief from my Mom because she didn’t have to explain to me about the bird and the bees.
I realize that kids nowadays are much more sophisticated with the internet and all, but it is just wrong to have teachers teach children 4-9 about adult sexual relationships. When kids reach an age where they are old enough (teenager?), maybe they should have a permission slip from their parents, or at least their parents should have the option of having their kids not attend due to religious or other personal belief systems.
I don’t know of anyone who agrees that teachers of k-3 children should be instructing/discussing things of a sexual nature. If I did know of someone who agrees with that type of thing, me being me, I would flat out ask them why they want children that young to be introduced to sex…. and what’s more, something which is that backassward way of thinking about it.
