That’s not exactly accurate. There is a small number of odds and ends still available on Spotify that are listed under “Neil Young” – none of his albums, as far as I can tell. I’m assuming it has something to do with who controls the rights to specific tracks and these odd lots are not under his catalog’s purview. That said, his moral grandstanding (and that of the other artists who followed his lead) looks even emptier now than it did several weeks ago.

In one of those industrial units where they have bars, restaurants and artisan clothes and jewellery stalls, some locals had set up a community centre. They were providing instructions on first aid, acting as a food bank / soup kitchen and an area for making petrol bombs.
Let’s imagine how this pans out…..BBC ‘Shock, horror, Putin attacks civilian community centre, women and children dead’.

It’s somewhat interesting that the western media is stationed around Kiev, where there is little military action. They are not in the Donbass region, where the fighting is actually occurring. So, where, exactly, are they getting footage of civilians running for their lives in the midst of the war? Putin has set up humanitarian corridors for a reason. And interestingly, it’s the Ukrainian soldiers who are preventing Ukrainian civilians from using them.
