And so it begins… An Ottawa Judge has denied bail for convoy organizer Tamara Lich citing the severe threat she poses to the Canadian government and the destabilization of democracy in Canada.
From the 30,000-ft level, the timed delay of the judicial determination appears connected to last night’s parliamentary approval of the Emergency War Measures Act. The Crown stalled the judicial appearance until Parliament affirmed authorization of the EA. The Act provides increased legal measures for the Crown to keep Lich in the bowels of the dungeon as punishment for her high crimes and heinous mischief.
Despite the government and judicial framing of her actions, Mrs. Lich remains only charged with “counseling to create mischief,” interpreted by the communists in the Canadian judiciary as a grievous offense so serious in nature that her incarceration status must remain higher than all former terrorists encountered by the Canadian state.
“You have had plenty of opportunity to remove yourself and even others from this criminal activity but obstinately chose not to, and persistently counselled others not to either,” the judge said, adding that “this community has already been impacted enough.” (link)
Additionally, the government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has requested a gag order against Mrs. Lich, which would forbid her speaking to any of the accused co-conspirator dissidents; “A non-communication order that would bar Lich from any communications with three fellow convoy organizers and leaders: Chris Barber, Pat King and B.J. Dichter.”
Following the J6 playbook to a tee, the government of Canada will likely transfer Mrs Lich to a detainment and isolation facility for re-education. As expressed by actions of the Crown, Tamara Lich is considered more dangerous to the Canadian government than ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

In absolute numbers, the member you responded to is correct, compared to the entire population, they were a small number. However, if we review history, we can see similarities, even in more adverse actions like our own Revolution for Independence. In reality, a very small portion of humans participated. History reflects this throughout time.
The good news in the truck convoy protest is, even though the Government resorted to force, thankfully no one died as a direct result of the convoy, or other border blockades.
Compare that to the riots and actions of government and their mercenaries in the U.S., both recently and over our history. I’m kinda envious of the Canadians.
A poster has remarked that Tamarra Lich refused the bail conditions will stay in jail for 8 more days and that the judge has threatened her with considerable prison time for her proposed crime of “counseling with mischief” or something like that.

The American Revolution began 1775 ended with treaty in Paris 1783.
We lost many battles but eventually won the war.
And the Colonists tried diplomacy for many many decades, writing letters and sending emissaries to the King before finally going full on “revolution” with our Declaration of Independence and started firing away at the Brits.
They had a sense of timing and worked toward the American Revolution and what became our country.
The did not just decide to go from writing letters in the late 1600’s to shooting up Lexington in the late 1700’s over night.
this is also my understanding of the American Revolution. There was a period of nearly 30 years prior to 1774 where specific events occurred and pain experienced by the AMERICANS up to and including economic, financial, political, legal and spiritual pain as well as death! Historians tend to fixate in “key” pivots and attempt to place some starting (and ending) dates on the American revolution. But if you walk through in great detail all of the conflict, there was plenty of it well before 1774.
it is “easier” to record the revolution in that manner, and certainly is how history is retold in the modern education system.
When I first began examining the American Revolution on my own, I realized it was appropriate to understand the NATURE and mechanics and features of revolutions, and learn what they all have in common…
this is when I started to read more in depth about how they all develop using general theory

I recommend the above. Brinton is considered THE authority on the subject matter and his work to describe the “stages of revolution” was a watershed moment from an academic standpoint. Others can disagreed on some of the criteria and application, but most agree it is quite accurate as a general theory. Brinton examined the nature and the events of 4 major revolutions that DRAMATICALLY DEFINED the modern era: English, French, Russian and American revolutions.
He states there are 3 stages according to his thesis by which all 4 of these revolutions followed.
However, there are some “discrepancies” he asserts with regard to the American Revolution that shows there was quite a bit of difference compared to the other three.
I examined this and based on his work, broadened the theory (using as a guide other informed historical facts and authorities on the matter), and adapted his 3 stages into a 7 stage model. (not my original work or idea to be clear, but one I believe is more precise wrt American Revolution and more importantly how his stages of general theory are most likely to describe revolution in the now and into the future).
thus, 7 stages, and not simply 3.
His seminal work still remains solid, no doubt about it…but it would seem to me that breaking the 3 stage general theory into 7 stages more closely matches how revolutions evolve and explain specific shifts of the paradigm.

I have never understood why the governors of the states the J6 prisoners are residents of, don’t demand their release. It is bad enough that their own representatives and senators have nothing to say, but DC is rotten to the core. States should have stepped up long ago.

As I watched the youth of Canada in the convoy, including young truckers, I was heartened. Plenty of us are old and our time is short. Those of us so motivated can provide that final and full measure of devotion to the survival and prosperity and freedom of the young who will follow us and inherit the planet.
Watching the interviews with war veterans at the War Memorial in Ottawa, I saw their quiet determination. Their toughness and courage. Men who’d been through a lot. Inspiring.
It hasn’t passed the Senate yet and the debate is not going well for Trudeau, the Senators are very skeptical and seemingly unwilling to go along with this.

In Canada senators are appointed, not elected. They hold the position until age 75, when they are required to step down. Because they do not run for election, they are not as rigidly divided along party lines as the House. However, obviously the appointments are quite political, and 52 out of the total 106 have been appointed during Trudeau’s tenure, according to Wikipedia.

Looking at the judge’s comment it makes you wonder why he doesn’t issue arrest warrants for anyone that listened to Mrs Lich’s public statements. How is she responsible for what others do as a result of what she says? No one else can make their own decisions?

Why do you assume polls are real, legit, and accurate?
I don’t know and we surely have reason to be skeptical of polls. At that same time, I’m witnessing the transformation of the West and the direction it’s going is not good. And not just because of the nature of the “leadership” but also because of the nature of the citizenry.
Once you own the minds of one or two generations of people, you have quite a lock on things. In my view, this has happened without a doubt. Many of us talk about this experience of interacting with others – “zombies,” “brainwashed,” etc.
So when I read a poll like this, I don’t automatically write it off because it jives with the dramatic changes I’ve been observing in the West for many, many years.
I am not quite so jaded as to the loss of minds of the young.
Several posters on another thread mentions as to how they were raised and educated in religious schools for all of their young formative years.
The teaching of the religious schools were endless, repetative and repeated in their home life.
Yet amazingly many of them, myself who was educated the same way and all of my siblings, grew up to be adults that rejected these teaching and moved on with our lives to think for our selves.
Not all of our fellow friends and students we kept in touch with through life rejected the teachings some took it all in, some adjusted and adapted the teaching to accomodate their growing beliefs.
I also have seen evidence of many young people starting to think at least if not act yet, for themselves.
It is hard, very hard to contain the Human Spirit.
Forgive my possible misquote, I think it goes something – “When we choose safety over freedom, we are doomed to receive neither” – To be kind, most people, and possibly for a good reason ARE sheep – and sheep will choose safety EVERY TIME. Thank God, there are also sheepdogs among us.
Yeah, but how many people identify as Democrats now, much less as “likely Democrat voters”? I think the honest Democrats have moved on, and all who are left are leftists. So this poll might mean 65% of 10% of the population…
