We have watched police disturbingly follow orders from federal, regional, state and local politicians throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.  So much so, the severity of increasingly brutal tactics from law enforcement has been one of the most eye-opening revelations of recent memory.  The most recent behavior by police officers and RCMP officials in/around Ottawa, Canada, reflects this increasingly hostile approach.

There are thousands of recent examples from the U.S, U.K, France, Europe (writ large), Australia, New Zealand and now Canada.  What was once rare, perhaps unimaginable, is now commonplace.  It is far beyond unnerving to see this descent into totalitarianism, and it is even more unnerving to gain an understanding of how previous horrific events in history took place.

Yet, we must face these issues as they exist, and not as we would prefer them to be.

Unfortunately, the result of their behavior, a behavior that must be seen in the totality of its visibility, has been a significant drop in support from the general public.  We have long passed the time when “a few bad actors” could be accepted as the excuse, and we now enter that dark period where most people accept that police officers as a group are the enemy of free and democratic society.  WATCH:

.

There have been a few examples where the police have just refused to be the COVID enforcement mechanism for small politicians drunk on their new COVID power.  However, those few examples are sadly significant because of their rarity.  For the overwhelming amount of reference points, the regional police have been more than willing to be jackboots for the politicians.

When/if it ever becomes time to load the undesirables into cattle cars, the police have shown us how they will respond.

The folks at Rebel News gained a slew of leaked internal chat communications from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police [SEE HERE] where the RCMP joyfully discuss how much fun it is to beat, crush and confront the average Canadian citizen.

The RCMP even celebrate their position as “Jackboots” on the ground to bring the protestors to heel.

(REBEL NEWS) In the chat, RCMP Musical Ride member, Andrew Nixon sends a picture of a pint of beer hoping for his chance to abuse protesters:

“Don’t kick all of them out until next weeks group gets our turn”

Member Robin Thibault remarks about accommodations police are being given in Ottawa:

“Nice Downtown in Chateau Laurier”

Nixon jokes about police brutality:

“Time for the protesters to hear our jackboots on the ground”

After being admonished for his remarks, Nixon mocks the protesters:

“okay we can give out free hugs and unicorn stickers”

A member named Marca laughs off the prior night trampling of two demonstrators, one of which had a mobility scooter.

“”just watched the horse video – that is awesome”

“we should practice that manoeuvre”
