There are some good developments and some disappointing developments recently in the Freedom Convoy efforts to regain personal liberty and remove the COVID mandates in Canada. First, the good development…
The RCMP attempted to get the contracted support of a Western Canada towing company, Inter-Pacific Transporation, in the effort to break up the Alberta truck blockade in/around the border crossing between Coutts, Alberta (CA) and Sweet Grass, Montana (USA). However, the towing company released a public statement saying they stand with their brothers, the truck drivers:
In a less positive development, the interim voice of the Canadian Conservative Party, Mrs. Candice Bergen, had her first opportunity to confront the Trudeau administration in support of working class Canadians. She failed miserably.
Instead of taking the issues of vaccine mandates, vaccine passports, covid restrictions and freedom in general to the floor of the Parliament, Ms. Bergen fell into the trap of debating racism with the Trudeau leadership.
As if operating in the 1800s, with diplomatic and political aloof-minded culturalisms, and in an epic display of ineptitude, the inability to articulate an argument, a detached focus toward the issues at hand and general weakness of principle, Ms. Bergen showcased her own incapacity to understand how to avoid the Alinsky approach of her political opponent.
Ms. Bergen’s first effort at representing strong conservative principles and being a pragmatic voice for Middle Canada, failed miserably. WATCH:

If this really is the best voice Canadian conservatives can put forth, the truckers and working class protestors will have a much more difficult fight on their hands. It is almost too painful to keep watching this level of pathetic weakness.
Mrs. Bergen is trying to please the abuser while framing her arguments and positions on the terms and conditions created by her opposition.
Perhaps the premise of controlled opposition is just a structurally inherent aspect to the system of government, but surely somewhere in Canada there must be a strong conservative politician not suffering from parliamentary Stockholm Syndrome.
Any tow company that would agree to tow the protest trucks would be committing business suicide.
As for Candice Bergen, she did not fall into a trap. She’s a Canadian Uniparty member. Politicans are not going to solve any problems. They are the problem.
I’m not a Canadian, but as an observer it seems to me that the Canadian Conservative Party is as useless as the GOP in the USA. It looks like they just traded one RINO for another. The Uniparty exists throughout the western world and into China. It is, in fact, the global fascist party ruled by the WEF, the EU, the CCP and the American Fascist alliance of woke capital, corporatism, and the bought and paid for uniparty in DC.

The truckers would never forget any towing company that moved in to tow vehicles. The towing company would have to change their name. If I was the CEO, I would have pointed out that the situation can easily be resolved without having a need to tow a single vehicle.
They would need permission from Klaus Schwab and until his way of life is threatened, it is not going to happen.
I wonder if any companies have gone against the truckers. Get woke go broke! We have seen businesses go under in America because they made the wrong choice. The towing company sounds like it is making the choice with the truckers because that is what they believe is the correct choice.

In the first truck convoy/blockade press conference “from an undisclosed location” the main spokesperson at THAT presser said (paraphrasing) “O’toole needs to be gone, yesterday, as for those just below him, they’re frankly not much better.”
This confirms his assesment, and that he and they are well aware of the ‘controlled opposition’.
To quote old Joe, “he said that guy (O’toole) has to go, and sunofabitch, 48 hrs later, he’s GONE.”
I watched an earlier clip, where Candace Bergen alternated with another worthless “conservative” on “debating” with the speaker for the liberals, trying to score points over the false issue of “rascism”.
Then, with todays trucker press conference, the truckers put the issue to rest, without saying anything about the rediculous rascist accusation,…by simply putting one of the leaders, the ‘driving force’ forward to speak; an indigenous woman.
BAM, call ME a RASCIST?
The truckers are very astutely IGNORING all the career politicians.
They know they are all worthless, and that the convoy has made them all irrelevant.
And, they handled the Gov financed media well, in establishing the rules for the press conference.
These people KNOW exactly what they are doing, and they are under no illusions as to what the ‘conservative party’ is.
I again agree with Seneca the elder, these people are incredibly smart, talented and no doubt God inspired.
They are not ‘disappointed’ in Canace Bergen, because they don’t CARE what she says or does.
All those speaking in Parliament, are like young children, playing dress ups out in the playhouse, while the parents (truck convoy leaders) are in the real house, discussing the household budget.
Do the parents really CARE what the children are arguing about? The parents have serious stuff to work out, food on table, roof over head.
And these leaders KNOW where they need to go, and they know how they need to get there.
And its driving right over the top of the airheads that currently are ‘at the top’ of the ‘conservative’ party.
My guess, Justin’s successor will be Dr Julie Ponesse.

I would like to add that the protest organization has said from the start that it is not a political cause, getting tmandates scrapped is not a right-wing or a left -wing issue, it is something ALL Canadians should want and unifies across the political spectrum.
The political class is just a uniparty, but so are the people in this matter.
The poison death shots are ‘politicized’ in that Democrats automatically buy into the premise that, just like the useless masks, their shot saves YOU and your shot saves THEM. And they parade around cities with their VIP cards as if they are selfless humanitarians, without a care for those who are ostracized and excluded.

I know some think we have lots of time to wage war for our freedom. I do not. Every day that passes our children are masked up and shot up. Now they’re after a mandatory series of 3 shots for babies. Agree 100%. We haven’t the luxury of time. I scan the horizon and see nary a sign of anything significant happening here. The hour is beyond late. The enemy is no longer lapping at our shores or at the gate, it is within. Deep within, having infiltrated every major institution in American and then reached it’s tentacles into the minds of our chidren, many now grown as we are generations deep into this evil. COVID was the thing that pulled it all together and for all the bravado we might say, nothing is happening. Best we’re honest with ourselves as Step 1.

Every day that a trucker is protesting is a day that a truck load of goods is not delivered. It is going to take months and months to clear up the backlog. Someone interviewed a trucker and his wife, and they were from a town in western Canada, and he said they would do 2 trips a week to haul produce from California to Canada. That is a lot of goods not being delivered. Someone suggested yesterday that people should go into stores and film all the empty shelves. By the way, those big rigs are like a travelling home with everything that is inside them.
This is the core of our problems. Over educated, under achievers who confuse thinking with doing. After 3 days of the trucker strike, folks here were calling for the truckers to leave their trucks and go home to “quietly protest”.
Said it for the past 4-5 years, we don’t even recognize a win, let alone fight for one. We are our biggest enemy and they know it.

As for Bergen, the clip was too painful to watch/listen to all the way through for all the reasons Sundance stated. When I saw a clip of her a day or two ago, I found her to be quite pathetic and didn’t know why some thought she was good. Even then, she got drawn into the argument by allowing the left to dictate the focus. What’s at stake is so monumental and so basic, it’s absolutely mind boggling that no one can spit it out and just keep repeating it if that’s what is necessary. At it’s core it’s liberty vs tyranny and the tyrants are tying up their rationales for the damage they are infliciting with neat little bows for the masses to consume.
Why so-called conservatives have such a hard time owning the argument, setting the rules, and making the case in simple, understandable language is beyond me. Thomas Sowell often spoke about this problem as something particular to the Republican Party.

Rare? Maybe, but I remember this British woman named Thatcher…there wasn’t a man in her entire country capable of leading as well as she did. She literally saved her nation from economic collapse.
And what might be your excuse for all the useless men in office right now? That said, I have for a long time, had certain kinds of doubts about women in leadership roles. Not an outright rule in my mind that they should be, but an awareness that there are characteristics to the fairer sex that aren’t ideal for leading. Emotionality being one. And hormones being another.
However, it also seems true that it is women/Moms who are standing up right now in many places across the country and that is inspiring. There are also, of course, many examples from history where women in leadership roles were truly exceptional.
And then there’s my original question that I started this reply with.
I think men and women are very different. Perhaps the failure of leadership has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with character and conviction.

The devastation at their sacred Tomb of the Unknown Soldier war monument consisted of two cars parked on the entry way to the memorial and when asked to move by the police, the owners complied and removed them straight away. There are so many owned by fleets and corporations. They are staying out of it. There are a few there that own small fleets, and have taken them all off the road to join, but a clear majority have not joined, because they dont own the trucks they drive. It sucks, but its reality.
We suffer from the same syndrome here. Lots of bombasticity. It’s the most infuriating thing to listen to politicians’ rants that achieve nothing.
Do they honestly believe that spouting a few cliches in raised voices produces results? Investigations that go nowhere, empty threats and nothing ever changes.
I swear all politicians are raging narcissists and utter fools. How they can be faced with the magnitude of this movement and merely pontificate is beyond me. They simply fail to grasp that they could be heroes to the world!

I sometimes watch parliamentary sessions – usually British – so I’m somewhat familiar with that system and the flow of their sessions. Today’s session popped up on the youtube sidebar after I watched today’s space weather update, so I gave it a shot.
Most people don’t understand conversational framing. Trump gets it. Sundance gets it (he doesn’t use the same words, but it is there). Trudeau’s little imp gets it. The new Conservative lady does not get it at all. Maybe now that she’s got national prominence, someone will pull her aside for some coaching, which should have started years ago.
“When did you stop beating your wife?” only makes sense if everyone accepts, as part of their frame of reference, that you beat your wife. The possible answers to that question are things like “last week” or “never”, either of which accept the frame. The correct reply is to ignore the question and attack the frame.
In practice, conversations and debates tend to be battles for control of the frame more than they are about facts and figures or even emotions. Some people, like Trump, are just natural steamrollers and in most conversations will essentially never concede the frame. Other people are aware of the importance of framing and consciously work to control it. The people who neither have natural frame control nor frame-awareness usually get screwed. If you’ve ever found yourself on the defense, denying that you are racist, you probably got rolled by someone with a stronger frame that yours.
Unfortunately, Candice got rolled.

Your comment was a very interesting read and I think everything you said applies. I also think that people who get suckered into this quicksand have some very weak traits, including a lack of commitment and confidence in what they believe.
If you know who you are and the ground you stand on, nothing can stream roll over you. Kind of like watching/listening to the exchange between Matt Lee and the State Dept spox today. Matt caught every single thing the guy tried to sneak in and made a mockery of it.
I also think that people can drawn into the “frame” as you say, when they’re cowards and are afraid to stand strongly and boldly for what they believe (which, of course, assumes they have strong beliefs). And that’s where we so often wind up with conservatives who ramble mindlessly along with mushy maliable words that stand for nothing. Because they don’t even know what they stand for and/or they’re too scared to put themselves out there with conviction, come what may.
I also think it’s human nature to defend oneself when a person verbally attacks you. It’s like a knee jerk thing. In my view, it takes intelligence and self-awareness to realize what’s going on to make sure you don’t get drawn into that pattern – a pattern that uses emotions as fuel, rather than facts and ideas.
So, in sum, most conservatives lack strong convictions and are stupid, weak, cowardly, and spineless. But I don’t think that’s a news flash.

That is why their leaders always communicate with them on an emotional level.
