I have a vision of a pathetic Trudeau, running away in the wake of the outcry of Canadian citizens, and making panic phone calls to his trainers, whether the WEF, Schwab, etc. Amusingly, it appears that Schwab’s training of ‘Young Global Leaders’ didn’t train them to have any backbone to use in times of difficulty. I suspect the rest of that class is the same, Macron, etc….malleable losers who will immediately fold when the going gets too rough. Klaus Schwab underestimated the strength of the common man. Good. Watching Trudeau publicly have his nervous breakdown is wonderfully entertaining. And deserved.

That is my point. Unless authorities come armed with artillary and tanks, there is relatively little chance of towing away these big rigs in any great number in an effective outcome. These aren’t Teslas on the side of the road. My dad used to tow these babies, it took hours to tow one broken down rig.
I am amazed at the number of people my husband and I know who have no clue about what is happening in Canada. They’re still addicted to the Fake News, which of course, has not mentioned it. We tell them about the truckers and Trudeau’s antics, and we get a blank stare. And they aren’t even curious. They live in the “what I don’t know won’t hurt me” world.
I would call that a lack of imagination on your neighbors part, unless they believe what’s on the shelf in stores or everything in their house materialized out of thin air.
If you see it and touch it, it was on a truck at some point.
The economic fallout of taking 50,000 trucks off the road is going to be felt long and by everybody.
Boss, I’m not amazed at all. Many folks are not interested in discussing politics. With my family, they cut me off the very minute I say anything political…and everything these days is. They just do not want to discuss politics. Most of them have stopped listening to or reading to get informed.
I’m frustrated because people just don’t get it that these mandates impact all of us. Ignorance is not bliss.
I guess I should have said that I’m amazed that I know so many people.
Over the years, I’ve told many, including my own daughter (who finally voted for the first time in 2020), that they may not be interested in politics, but politics will control everything in their lives. They don’t need to discuss politics, but they should at least stay informed. However, with the takeover of the reporting outlets, being truly informed takes some work. It can be overwhelming, and that shuts a lot of people down.
This cluster#@% we’re experiencing makes my brain hurt, but I refuse to turn a blind eye and just let the chips fall where they may. I’m glad I am the age I am.
I myself wonder how much of the population did this during the days before the Revolutionary War as well as the Civil War. People who scare easily love to push their head in the sand and hope upon all hope that whatever the world does around them will simply pass by them so they remain unharmed and unchanged.
