For sure we’ve seen a physical outpouring of support for the truckers, but I have no way of knowing how the numbers fall, so decided to try to find some polling data (for whatever it might be worth). All I could find that captures this recent time period and issue was the link below. Sarah: That poll may be a little dated. I suspect it is higher. It is hard to tell just what percentages might be. I only know what i saw in people greeting the convoy–such genuine love and appreciation and all of it organic. A lot of Canadians just felt like there was hope again. I can’t even begin to communicate my gratitude for the truckers. These brave men and women put themselves on the line for everyone in Canada and the world who wants to be free. How can you say thanks but to do what you can and just weep tears of relief.
That said Canada is not 50/50 conservatives and leftists. It runs about 40/60 or maybe 45/55. The left is split into two parties–believe it or not there is a party (NDP) more wacked out then Trudeau’s party. The split the left should be good for conservatives since 45 should beat 55 divided by two and for a period it did and we had a good leader in Stephen Harper. We lost that and now the right has split into two parties so 45 divided by two. This is why Trudeau can be prime minister with only 32% of the vote.
Readers on this site will find his handling of the convoy outrageous as I do as a Canadian but the minds of a lot of Canadians have been turned into mush by the media and the schools. They simply have no critical thinking abilities. This is what we face. Virtually every last person I have spoken to down here thinks this is one giant clown show and we are praying that the truckers don’t back down until Trudeau is removed and this Covid B.S. is over and done with. You wouldn’t know it from our local media though, more brainwashed slobs repeating the Trudeau mantra.
Watched several hours of live streaming from Ottawa again last night. Wish I was there. No one (even the Police) said they observed any violence, hateful signs (unless you consider the F Trudeau signs to be offensive, where I say, if they were good enough for President Trump, then the left can shut the f up about them for Trudeau). Ottawa streets around the protest are cleaner than ever, thanks to the protesters. All I can hope is all of the brainwashed fools finally wake up and see for themselves how bad the media they trust is flat out lying to them.
It will be interesting to see what happens this weekend. Storming up there now but the weather is supposed to be a bit better on the weekend and many of the protestors that had to go back to work are supposed to be back over the weekend, as well as many others I’m sure.
Hoping the Truckers out on the border in Alberta are all good. Little more worried for them.

I agree with what you shared about how people’s minds have been mangled from the media and education system and that is what concerns me. It’s easy to see videos and photos of support for the truckers, feel inspired, and be convinced it represents something that may be beyond what we actually know. It’s easy to forget there are a lot of Canadians at home who are on board with Trudeau’s bs, much as is the case with public support for leftist insanity here in the United States and in Europe. It’s a huge reason why the West is collapsing.
As for the idea that even the most hardened leftist would sense it’s wrong to persecute the truckers, I don’t necessarily agree. Leftists are full of hate, including hate for working people. They also consume propaganda all day long, day after day. No doubt, many are cheering when Trudeau says incredibly outrageous and disrespectful things about the truckers (things = lies). It’s easy to forget that we didn’t get into the situation we’re in solely because a relatively small group of power brokers claimed power. It is, very much as Yuri Besmenov said so many decades ago, we were primed years ago and the stage was set. We now have generations of people who, as you say, can’t think critically and don’t even have factual information.
We’re in quite a pickle.

I agree (and the way you wrote that was so beautiful), but I also know that Alinsky’s tactics work. Even before Alinsky devised them, the same principles were used by tyrants the world over whereby certain people and groups are dehumanized. That is critical because at then no one cares what is said about them or done to them. They are no longer viewed through the normal lens that you describe, but instead are seen as something completely other, to be loathed, ridiculed, destroyed. And for that reason, I think that what you shared doesn’t happen as often as it normally might, because the left has carefully crafted a very abnormal situation that includes painting certain people and groups as unworthy of respect, consideration, etc. It’s a very dangerous thing.
To become the killers they now are, they have sacrificed their humanity to the cult. We remain open of heart. This keeps us human.
When we are dehumanized, they can morally justify doing all sorts of bad things to us: censorship, re-education, violent crimes. So even “good” people will join in the fight against us.

I’m not sure what the majority thinks, but the Canadians I know have been out on the side of the roads cheering on the truckers.
That poll is NOT HONESTLY reported. It is exactly the opposite of what they seem to be proclaiming. There were 3 choices. 1) only vaccinated truckers could cross border 2) unvaccinated truckers can cross the border even without negative test 3) unvaccinated truckers can cross border with negative Covid test within 72 hours.
Only 36% chose 1). Yes, 28% chose 2). And 36% chose 3).
So, the percent of Canadians who think that unvaccinated truckers should be able to cross the border is the total of 2) and 3). That is 64%.
That is the majority of Canadians. It is ONLY 36% that thinks that all truckers should be vaccinated to cross the border.
While I don’t agree with those who think a test should be required, I am more than happy to have them help us defeat the mandate. I must also remind myself to remember the psychological damage that has been wrought by the covidians so that I might understand those who think testing should still be mandatory. It’s not easy to back away from the ledge when you’ve been held hostage there for 2 years and the world has fallen completely apart.

With each new day, Trudeau invents new victims, new conspirers(Russians). He’s obviously desperate,but his methods look crazy. Yesterday’s claim of recovering from Covid, was just ridiculous. It counteracts his vaccine mandates. I would like to hear more from the people of Canada, and what they think of Trudeau’s daily contrived inventions.
