In an effort to keep the Daily Open Thread a little more open topic we are going to start a new daily thread for “Presidential Politics”. Please use this thread to post anything relating to the JoeBama Administration and Presidency.
“This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible. Yet, if we do not try then how will we know it can’t be done? And if we do not try, it most certainly won’t be done. The Founders’ Republic, and the larger war for western civilization, will be lost.”
“But I tell you this: We will not go gently into that bloody collectivist good night. Indeed, we will make with our defiance such a sound as ALL history from that day forward will be forced to note, even if they despise us in the writing of it.”
This thread will refresh daily and appear above the Open Discussion Thread.
Whenever the possibility presents, throw sand into the machinery…

I hear you, my elbow hurts just sitting here typing. Younger conservatives have been driven underground by the education system, corporations, the government and their peers. And many are working unlike Antifa, BLM who receive financial support for their destructive antics. My view is based on my thirties aged children. There aren’t a lot of places for young conservatives to share. When I was in my thirties with 3 kids I don’t know what time and resource I could put into the fight. We are in a tough spot.
I called to order a roll of vinyl sheet flooring for a remodel project. Special orders often are shipped to supplier direct from factory, then to job site. (2-hop freight shipping). Shipping from GA to NC for this $600 roll would typically run about $75.
Yesterday’s shipping quote for a $600 roll was $235, a 300% increase! The sales guy does this for a living yet he had no clue why the shipping was through the roof. Even when I tried to explain he just was not getting it – like I was talking a foreign language.
Cost is the same….delivery ups it? If they allow public to pick up, you could go get for much cheaper.
Small material price increase, huge shipping increase. Temporary situation on shipping. What troubles me is that the sales guy has no understanding or interest in the crisis in his own supply chain.
About every time I go to the paint store they are out of the paint we used to start the project. We have to keep switching to the in stock product and re- matching. FJB.
I have never seen this in my forty+ years in the trade.
I suspect the two major culprits here are $4+ diesel fuel and the shortage of drivers for the trucks who do the work. Dear leader took us from a net exporting oil country to a net importing oil country in just a few short months. Elections matter, stollen elections matter even more.
We must all pressure our state legislators to overturn the stollen election and install our real president who can then set about making things right.
I seen that too. It’s like as soon as you bring the word “covid” into the conversation, certain people just sorta shut down any actual thinking processes. I’m guessing they are having an internal dialog like “I know someone who got really sick, and this person is trying to tell me it’s xyz and not the worst thing to ever happen!” I don’t know what else would explain this sort of thing, but I’ve seen it first hand.
Yes. He was fine talking about the mess, how screwed up things are, how that truckers can barely survive anymore. But as soon as I mentioned that it was all triggered by government vaccine mandates targeting truckers specifically – crickets.
Mass Formation Psychosis is what has happened.
Exactly! Remember it’s not a pandemic it’s an IQ Test!
I install floor coverings for a living, including sheet vinyl. Did you order your sheet vinyl through a big box store … Home Depot … Lowes?
Home stores are quoting reasonable prices for in stock flooring. This was a non-stock pattern so I called a wholesale supplier who gets factory truck in a few times a week and then ships special orders direct to jobsite via independent truckers.
You mention a $75 shipping charge vs a $235 shipping charge. Where I am living now, Chautauqua County, NY – Erie County, PA … fuel has more than doubled since F’n Joe pretended to be president.
I lived in the Asheville NC area through most of the ’90s and did installations through Eastern TN, Western NC and Northern SC.
Of course, I don’t know the locations of your job site or your wholesale supplier but I usually pick up the material at the retail outlet or wholesale supplier if it’s a reasonable distance away and deliver it to the job site for free because I’m going there anyway! Also, if I’m the installer, I want say so where the flooring ends up at the job site. Too often it’s easier to unload the material right out the back of a delivery vehicle and into a garage packed with crap. Many times it’s twice the work for me to then move a ton of crap out of the way to even access the flooring to load it on a dolly and roll it to another entrance. If someone doesn’t sweep the floor where a roll of sheet vinyl will lay, you typically end up with indentations in the sheet vinyl from pebbles etc. If the vinyl roll is laid over uneven plywood or OSB you can also end up with indentations or crease marks. All the installers I interact with drive full size vans where a 12 foot long roll would fit entirely inside the vehicle.
I very seldom ever see a roll or cut of flooring delivered to a job site by a trucking firm. Many times the customer will, but a trucking company?
Sundance recently cautioned us to “zip it” with regard to stocking food and taking other precautions for self-preservation. I believe that admonition could also pertain to actions being taken to preserve our Republic.
You assume “baby boomers” are apathetic. Your assumption may not be grounded in fact. Retired people actually have the time to volunteer at local and state levels. How do you know whether or not we are doing that? You don’t know, and you won’t, because prudent people are not going to advertise it. (Which, ironically, I may have just done by posting these comments:)
We are not just sitting on our “affluent” a$$es. We are engaged, we are doing.
Sundance has also frequently encouraged us to live our best lives.
Go get engaged. It’s an interesting process and a great way to meet like-minded people.
At the end of the day, however this all turns out, we can say “I did my best, in the best way I knew how.”
I want to add something to your thoughts. I suppose my position lies somewhere between yours and Fionnagh’s.
My husband and I raised our three boys to be as strong as we could make them, and we did it mostly by giving them a lot of responsibility, a lot of accountability, very high expectations, and above all else, never removing the consequences from their actions, or shielding them from such consequences, or from life’s bad curves.
Now with families of their own, careers, pressures and stresses, many beyond even what my husband and I faced together, they are independent men, strong and capable, as we wished. But even the most independent and private of the three, when faced with severe troubles, will often quietly have a talk with me or his dad, or both of us. He may not say that he’s come for advice, or to clarify his thoughts, but yes, he and his brothers still do.
Along with what we taught them, our voices still matter. Our opinions and experiences matter. And oh boy, does our strength matter, our example matters. What we say and do is still a bedrock for them when the world is tough and threatening. It matters. A lot.
I’d say they aren’t entirely conscious at this point how much, I’m basing these statements on my experiences with them, and knowledge of them. But also on how influential my husband’s parents were with us, and how much their strength enabled us, how much their examples until the end of their lives matter to us still.
We also spend a lot of time with grandkids, and even, often, especially in play, there are lessons to share there. Faith, hope, love, patriotism, strength in the face of adversity. The fact that you can laugh and be happy even in hard times. How to bake bread, change a tire, basic electronics and wiring, how to make soup. The importance of health and attitude. Work ethic, work ethic, work ethic.
The contributions we can still make profoundly influence them, and therefore my country’s future.
I remember Walesa, BTW, and often think of his strength and faith. I’m betting the great man had some elders he followed, one of them of profound influence being Pope John Paul II.
Those are wise words, Menagerie.
I was raised to respect my elders. Now suddenly the generation that is elderly is disparaged as “Boomers”, which is another word for senior citizens, which is another term for elderly.
There is a push to divide younger Americans from the wisdom of their parents and grandparents. My grandparents were my bridge to history and my ancestors.
I wish people could stop buying into the propaganda.
If I had referred to my grandparents’ generation with a pejorative, I would have gotten my face slapped. At least I think I would, because I would never even think of showing that kind of disrespect, and I never had any disrespect either.
I would have lost some teeth.
You are SO SO SO correct. I have not lived at home for 25 years, but I speak with my parents regularly, and it gives me great pleasure.
Sometimes I ask their advice, but mostly we just share our stories and talk politics. And both of my parents are very insightful. Sometimes they try to tell me what to do, which is quickly followed by “but you always do what you think is right anyway”. And I have to admit, in all my adventures I’ve always landed on my feet.
They provided me with a great foundation and constant support, and I can’t see how anyone could possibly have better parents. And I’m sure your kids feel the same about you.
Now my dad says that his days of fighting are over. I told him that’s ok, he taught me well and now it’s my turn. He seems happy with this. And I see the fight in my brother, too. I’m very proud of him and his anti mandate actions.
There’s so many of us in this fight for our freedoms, all over the world. We all bring a different skill set, and I genuinely believe we will win. However, I also believe that there will be a lot of pain between now and then…
Beautiful.
Rach, No idea how old you are…. In my teens and 20’s and 30’s, My Mom was my touch stone. I’d call home to ask advice, talk about challenges, Kibitz (sp? Is that right?). Dad would sometimes answer the phone and immediately hand me off to Mum. 2000, my Mom suddenly died in July on that year. I was there with the 4 kids for our annual “ summer vacation visit.”
TMI. To my point. My Dad is now 92 years old. Two years ago, ‘cause of Covid, he decided not to drive down toNC and Florida, as he had starting the Christmas after Mum died…a decision I was sad and relieved about…. I call him every night. Just to hear his voice. He was the “quiet one” when Mum, (a force of nature) was alive. But in the last 22 years, I have discovered a man who DEFINITELY has opinions, has a wicked sense of humor, and is very wise.
My thirty something children sometimes get angry with me when I express my opinions. I said to them: “You ask and I will tell you what I think. Do you have to do what I say or suggest? NO! You’re adults and free to make your own path!”
Your Dad’s days “of fighting’ are over…maybe in some areas, but I think he will never give up fighting for you and your brother. How firm a foundation!
The grace from God is accepting the shifting of roles and that takes adjustment.
Thank you for sharing that. I’m 43yo. Sounds like you also have a beautiful family. And, as time moves forward, our relationships change and grow. I hope you enjoy your adult children even more than when they were little.
Menagerie, as you described your intent and purpose behind raising and influencing your boys to become men, for me, is most encouraging. Thank you.
My like button doesn’t want to work. Completely agree with your thoughts…as usual.
As a boomer the thing that strikes me as completely alien is the contempt the younger generation has for those who came before them.
Hell I argued and dismissed my dad a lot in my 20s, but I never held contempt for my parents. I don’t get it.
Try to keep in mind that there have ALWAYS been parents that abused their children, mentally and physically. My parents are now Satan’s problem. I have 2 siblings and 2 step siblings and on that issue we agree 100%.
When I read “Menagerie’s” beautiful little essay and I read the thoughtful caring responses I feel like an alien on my own planet. I can’t imagine living a Disney/Rockwell existence but what I find even more unbelievable are comments from people that I love and respect who are stunned that children could be contemptuous of their own parents.
There are a thousand ways, big and small, over a lifetime, we learn how good or bad our parents were. It’s the gift that never stops giving.
Boogy, I don’t want to go deep here, but just to give you perspective, the way I was raised was far different from what we did with our kids, and even so, to be truthful here, we made lots of mistakes and there were lots of times things went wrong. Our kids made many mistakes, as we did as parents. We mostly did the best we could and sometimes that wasn’t enough. And sometimes, being human, we just did poorly through our own most grievous fault.
I wish I had been removed from my parents, even if that meant foster homes or an orphanage. Sometimes I feel like an alien too, and the damage will never “go away.” I am not stunned that children could be contemptuous of their parents, but sometimes it is deserved.
“NJF” was the commenter I was responding to about not understanding folks being contemptuous of their parents.
The SINGLE biggest surprise of my life was discovering how much I liked having children. I turned out to be a single parent after I went to court and won complete custody.
My home was where neighborhood kids would come, to hang out. Being a dad gave me the opportunity to be an actor, comedian, teacher and entertainer.
THANK YOU for your kind words!
Well done for breaking the cycle. Your kids will surely speak of you as I speak of my folks.
And I just wanted to add, we didn’t have a Disney life. There were plenty of hard times, too..
I just watched a video on Bill Whittle’s channel. It was an interview of a young woman in Montana, and how she became engaged in her local community. One thing she noticed immediately was that it was mainly seniors who were attending public/political meetings, and very few of the younger population. Did you ever notice the women and men who volunteer at the polls every election? At least in my area they are mostly older citizens.
The younger generations can’t be bothered. It’s all about them until it eventually affects their lives and then they will be shocked.
Maybe the younger ones are a little preoccupied with life. Many baby boomer and older gens are retired and have lots of free time to engage in civic life outside of a job and raising kids but go on, and blame the millennials or gen-z for all the world’s problems.
Huh… Interesting perspective.
I’m a Gen X’r who has had to scratch and claw my way into the middle class.
So if I have this right, you’re saying that after the Boomer generation was given basically paradise and threw it away through apathy towards freedom, a complete disregard for God ,morality, this country’s founding principals, the sanctity of marriage and any idea to leave a better place for their kids, you’re saying it’s now our job to right the sinking ship that we inherited from our elders?
We didn’t get here in the last 10 years. This has been a slow progression over the past 50 years. Who was watching the hen house in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s? Certainly wasn’t me I was a child.
You know why younger people “can’t be bothered” to attend a town council meeting at 9am on a Wednesday? It’s called work. Most of us will never retire and for those of us who’ve sacrificed everything just to realize the dream of home ownership, we’re just scrimping by because the Boomers, who are now in charge of everything, are bought an paid for and have no interest in leaving a better place for the generations to come.
Don’t you think it should be the responsibility of the generation who failed to leave the world at least the way they received it, to right the wrongs they created? Maybe between vacations to their 2nd homes or rounds of golf. I don’t know.
And for those who disagree with me, and want to tell me, “just pull yourself by your bootstraps and stop complaining”, I’ve been pulling myself up by my bootstraps since I started working when I was 9. My only dream is to leave a paid for house for my kids and raise them to fear and love God and to think of others. That’s about all I have time for.
Sounds like a whole lot of stereotyping in that comment. I believe the rot really began with Woodrow Wilson, continued thru 2 world wars and a few “police actions”, and is continuing with every generation since. Freedom is not free, for any generation. Even the Founders didn’t hand off a free system to their heirs. Freedom must be fought for in every generation.
I was just responding to someone saying that younger generations “can’t be bothered” to get involved.
To your point. Sure I agree it is every generations job to fight for freedom. I would say however that the playing field in say 1980 when a lot of boomers were getting divorced because marriage was hard and doing blow in disco techs, while manufacturing jobs were starting to be shipped overseas, was a lot more level to fight for said freedom than say post 911 and the Patriot Act or gutting Glass Steagall or the Citizens United decision.
I understand that every generation has their issues, however it does get tiresome hearing the Boomer generation continue to berate younger generations for not doing their part to fix America.
I am a Boomer, not wealthy at all. No second home, never played golf. I have a small house and raise a garden and have a few hens, just to be more independent of this fragile system.
And I agree with you on a lot of what you say. So many of my generation did buy into the glitter of greed and abandoned the principles that made this nation great. Many of us turned our backs on God and even our own families.
But not all of us. There are many of us who have held to our principles and tried to live useful lives, who did not endlessly seek after mere things.
It’s tempting to generalize and cast blame on a whole group of people for the ills of the world. I can understand that. But I’ve never thought it wise, or just, to do so. There are lots of folks in my generation who feel as you do, who share the same values. But folks like us, of any generation, tend to be independent thinkers. We don’t run in packs like the collectivist leftists do. So we are easy targets for the Left. They isolate us and turn us against each other.
We must guard against this strategy of the enemy.
We must reach out and support each other, especially those who are bearing the brunt of the battle. That is where the Left excels. It is what we Liberty loving folks need to learn.
Every generation makes its own mistakes. Some worse than others. I’m a boomer, and contributed my share of failures. I’ll be the first to say that I could quite possibly have stepped into my parent’s shoes and done okay, but no further back. I could not have lived my grandparents and great grandparents lives without the raising they had.
My great grandmother took over the farm on the plains of Kansas when her husband died and her youngest child was three. With her oldest son, who was 12, she raised the crops and supported the family. The oldest two girls, about 11 and 10, cooked, kept house, and minded all the stairstep littles behind them. Indians were not all yet on the reservation, and they watered their ponies in the creek on the farm.
It seems to me that each generation is less able to face true hardship and adversity. Having lived a life of security and privilege, at least in contrast to what my great grandmother faced, no way could I have done what she did. I wasn’t prepared for it, would never have a clue even where to begin.
I try to meet my own challenges, but that’s all I can do. One of my sons has become successful enough that he worries about giving his sons the advantages that will help them grow, be well educated, make them better men, but how still to keep them grounded and not turn them into entitled brats? It isn’t as easy as I always assumed it would be.
For example, he and his wife have the means to send the boys to an excellent school. That’s very good for them academically, and they are of course safer than in public schools, and have opportunities in sports, etc. But that kind of privilege comes with issues they have to balance.
In the end, we do what we can and hope for the best.
just so i have my terms clear, boomers were born between 1946 to 1964, i.e. the post-world war II boom years.
the oldest of the generation contains your bill ayers types, who some would argue still shape events today.
the younger boomers elected reagan – twice, and led the charge for PDJT.
you are right, fionnagh, many are in stealth mode now, but still very active.
i cannot understand the antipathy towards boomers, nor the attempt to divide by demographics.
yeah, on the surface i get it – boomers are the last repository of certain knowledge and skills that have been deliberately withheld from succeeding generations, thus endangering the current course of events.
and yes, another poster points out the rugged individualism factor is very much evident in boomers –
they are not hive animals by any means, which i guess some people interpret as “apathetic”?
and yes, boomers pretty much invented the modern world of convenience and technology only to see it captured by succeeding generations and turned into something rather dark.
so, my question is why hate on boomers?
are succeeding generations doing a better job of stemming the progressive tide?
how about we drop the labels and ALL pitch in?
you lightly touched upon a possible reason.
Similar to how the Cabal began long ago to pit women and men against one another to destroy the family, by engineering feminism, there could very well be an engineered attack on Boomers that non-boomers gladly grab onto (it is in human nature, unfortunately, to want to find scapegoats).
Just as angry men need to wake up to how women are not to blame for feminism, and angry women need to wake up to how manly men are not “toxic” — and we are good for one another —
the different generations also need to wake up to the “divide and conquer” tactics — the younger should not hate on the boomers, and the boomers should not be putting down the youngers.
We all have valuable things to bring to the table — experiences, knowledge, wisdom, common ground. It is on this common ground that we should try to meet.
That is how we solve this.
The Book of Titus has some good instructions on the ways in which the generations should conduct themselves and relate to each other. It is very similar to what you write.
Wisdom is to be passed down, good counsel to younger generations is a duty to be undertaken as part of God’s work, andyounger generations are to be rooted in their communities and God’s word.
Separating the young from their elders is the same thing as knocking over statues.
.
Folks might want to look at the SILENT GENERATION. Those are the children of the Greatest Generation, often first generation Americans, and were children during WWII. They sailed through the 1950s, bought homes in the 1960s which had burgeoned so in price that they had retirement nest eggs by the 1990s, raised the indulgent Boomer hippies, often supported progressive policies, and were the first generation to spend their retirements playing golf and cruising etc.
One word: CellPhones!
Without their call phones they will wither and die.
You would have to harness up the cell phones to make them move.
Most young people, other than teenagers, along with other age groups use their cell phones for work.
Hospital director: ‘Situation now worst since start of pandemic’
Forty times more deaths as hospital directors warn, ‘Soon we won’t be able to provide reasonable treatment.’
Hospital directors have warned Health Ministry Director General Professor Nachman Ash that the overwhelming burden in the coronavirus wards is threatening their ability to provide reasonable treatment, and that there are concerns of a shortage of staff in coronavirus ICU wards, which treat the patients who are in the most serious condition.

Here I sit on my tiny branch and what I see is that every idiot who has gotten boosted has gotten sick. Every single one. Now, it is a tiny branch with a very tiny view but if I can see this, why can’t a hospital director?
They can. Let that sink in.
Indeed. They see dollar signs 💰💰💰💰💰💰
One of my friends who just got the booster earlier this month just informed us that he can’t come over tomorrow because he’s sick. But of course he immediately tested himself with a home test and assured us that it’s not wuflu. Meanwhile, my wife and I are non-jabbed, have naturally acquired immunity, and have never submitted to a test of any sort during this whole debacle. It’s like you say though, the friends of mine who have gotten jabs are sick far more often than my wife and I. All I’ve had since getting delta back last summer is a mild sniffle around the holidays. And actually having delta wasn’t even as bad as the one time back about 30 years ago that I got a flu shot (my one and only) and I got sick with the flu a week later. That was far worse than any symptoms I had with delta, however I do still have diminished taste/smell. Eh, it’s not a big deal.
That will happen if you poison all of your citizens repeatedly.
You can’t provide reasonable treatment because you Government is owned by Pfizer-Biontech.
The Lord says that Israel is the apple of His eye. What will He do with those who are destroying His beloved?
He also said the Jewish religious leaders at that time (Pharisees) were like their father, Satan. Not ALL Israelites are His.
And unfortunately, not all who call themselves Christian are His, either.
It is a fallen world, desperately needing the Savior.
Word.
Other than “It’s the jab stupid.” are there any tinfoil-hat conspiracies as to why Israel, a country hated by the Uniparty Globalist Elites, seems to be suffering spikes of infections / hospitalizations beyond that of other countries with a majority of their populations jabbed n
You would think that with all the IQ we’ve been told those folks have they would know by now they’re being scammed?
All by design. The intent is to break down our society at every level. Medical care, school systems, police shortages (jab mandates here, too), food and everyday living supplies, crime increases, a broke Treasury, elections, a crippled military, and illegal immigration.
The breakdown of American democracy, society, wealth, defense and culture is the intent. They are shockingly doing quite a job in record time.
Something to consider – If the left stops all of the mandates now, concedes the last election/installation, sacrifices some of its members and appears to crawl back into its hole, they still will have managed to jab billions of people with an unknown substance. The damage has been inflicted.
Seems to me that is a giant step forward in a long term plan.
Speculation? (from 50,000 feet)
The mandates are slowly being rescinded. They no longer matter. The deed is done.
The last election/installation appears to be on the verge of decertification. It no longer matters. The deed is done.
Most of the public faces of this attack are disposable (Joe, Kamala, Nancy, Mitch, Fauci, et al) and easy to sacrifice. Their job is done.
The real players can hide behind the sacrifices and continue their work.
“The last election/installation appears to be on the verge of decertification.”
uhh… which news source are you reading there???
Check out Wisconsin — call and demand decertification. . . .
Outgoing RINO GOP leader also just stated he’ll never let it pass.
I’m speculating, as I said in my post. Wisconsin appears to be ready to pull its delegates. If they do others will follow.
My point is, the part of the build back better program where they jab billions of people is done. Mission accomplished. It can not be undone. They’ll have some casualties on their side but that’s how these things work.
The Wisconsin Assembly simply voted to reclaim their electors. The resolution passed, but was refered to the “rules” committee, where it will die a slow, painful death.
Other than being an example of what is happening to the Arizona “audit”, it is a big “nothing burger”.
Not so fast.
Per TGP:
Immediately following the unanimous voice vote and before The Gateway Pundit even reported on the bill, ‘Republican’ Representative Jim Steineke tweeted that there was no way he was going to advance the resolution out of the Rules Committee where he is the chair. Steineke is a realtor, not a constitutional attorney.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/01/republican-chairman-wi-rules-committee-jim-steineke-says-zero-chance-will-pass-representative-ramthuns-resolution-decertify-2020-election-results/
Nothing is settled until all hoops are jumped through.
And the uniparty are masters at obfuscating and delaying until the issue at hand no longer matters.
At some point, they’ll declare victory over the pandemic. The media will hoot and holler to beat the band saying how the Dems saved us all from extinction, but for climate change…
They are not going to be able to hide the death wave from the shots.
When Alex Berenson’s publisher turns him down for a book proposal about what the shots really do to the human body because no one who got them wants to know, the publisher has a point. For now.
When there are people dropping right and left of strokes, heart attacks, TB, CMV, toxoplasmosis, and Lupus and other autoimmune diseases, the truth will eventually become unavoidable. The life insurance companies will save on long term care payouts, but they’ll go bankrupt on life insurance payouts.
Look for them to start contesting cause of death and request autopsies.
Then everyone is going to want to know, if only to see whether there is any way to undo the effects of the shots, since you can’t undo the fact that you got them.
i am smack in the middle of the 30-60 group, and would agree that y’all seem/sound mostly like boomers. 😉
If there was one theme I hope you all would think about or a critique I would humbly suggest…. its that the “rugged individualism” we all love and respect is a big part of whats killing us. we do not understand what it means to band together and resist as a group. many of us still believe that by withdrawing from public life and society, we can live that life and be left alone. you guys had it really good, and with all due respect, it was those easy times that have created the mess we have now, because we grew weak. we don’t want to do the hard work to restore the republic.
this fascist house of cards would collapse unbelievably quick with even the slightest whiff of a true refusal to consent; standing up to the government, and not with tweets or from our individual basements saying “come take it”… but it has to be by the millions, with strangers, and stop being so worried about the optics of appearing mean-spirited or rowdy; or that you have work tomorrow or whether there are feds or false flags or whatever – all of that will occur.
if we’d like to get back to individual rights and the ability to be left alone – we’re going to have to collectively CONFRONT the evil and demand it.
Just a report from a boomer. Hope it helps.
We volunteered, old and young alike, to get the vote out..local election. Our Republican candidate won mayor. (He is an excellent candidate and mayor.) First time Republican won in our town since 1930’s (don’t have the exact year).
We swept the town council.
We have a super majority on the bd of ed.
Next we’re going to press hard in our state…young and old alike. Working diligently and a joy to work with all.
Btw, I am being tapped for a commissioner’s job. I would be honored to humbly serve our awesome mayor.
This is my updated ground report.

Is there not a cause?
I am frustrated that my comment I was typing just got deleted by accident.
I want to tell all of you of the extraordinary thing that happened yesterday in Montgomery County, MD (a suburb of DC) — and to take heart from it.
The county council was all set to impose a tyrannical vaccine passport in the county. But instead, they backed down. Numerous individuals and small business owners spoke out in opposition, and the council did not have the optics necessary to ram this through. They wanted to. You could tell by their opening statements and the cherry picked “data” presented by the health officers. But then the people spoke, all in opposition.
Business owners said this would destroy their already struggling businesses, hit hard by COVID and staffing shortages. They didn’t want to be the vaccine police, checking papers.
Individuals, many of whom identifying as pro-vaxx, fully vaccinated and Democrat, spoke up to say that the vaccines don’t stop someone from spreading, so it makes no sense and only creates division within the community, and we want this to be a welcoming place. Otherwise, we would become a medical apartheid community with second class citizens, and no one wants that.
Parents spoke up about how this is all affecting their children, and to impose vaccine passports on 5-11 year olds is insane and creates conditions for bullying and would be cruel, not to mention unnecessary.
The councilmembers clearly did not care about anything the people said, other than optics. They had virtually no support from the community.
And you know it is not the easiest thing to take time to prepare and deliver testimony. Most of the people testifying were in the 20-60 age group. Passionate speakers. Caring people. It gives me hope.
What an encouraging sign! And a wonderfully written report. Thank you!
(We didn’t get the benefit of your original, accidently deleted report, but oftentimes rewrites turn out better than originals!)
I’m happy to report here from near the Beltway.
Additionally, the county council is participating in COVID “safety” theater, and thus they only have zoom meetings and zoom testimony. So, no getting in their face in person. No being able to show up in an intimidating group with t-shirts and posters, applauding speakers. However, the upside to this is that the entire thing is available on youtube. All in-person testimony, all written and video testimony.
The council clearly feels threatened by the least raising of anyone’s voice in passionate or forceful speech. I mean, they can’t handle it. Several of them complained afterwards at the “lack of civility” but I listened to the entire thing. What they really didn’t like hearing was, “I voted for you, but you are not representing us! We will vote you out.” Too bad.
They didn’t even bring the vaccine passport to a vote. They all backed down and made wishy-washy statements about what a good idea a passport would be, and how wonderfully safe it would make us, but how without the support of the community, they don’t see how they can act to make these decisions which they alone deem to be in our best interest.
The well-crafted and well-researched testimony really impressed me. People are aware, people are doing their homework, and at least half of the people speaking claimed to be Democrats and pro-vaxx, but they were all opposed and critical of the county council. Yes, I am definitely feeling hopeful, for the first time in a long time. I didn’t know there was anyone in my community who felt as I do. Now, I know I’m not alone.
***the county council yesterday ALSO voted to EXTEND the ridiculous mask mandate until February 21, despite the vast majority of people speaking out against it. In this case, they sneaked this one in and didn’t give sufficient public notification in order to give testimony. They only had 9 speakers: 8 were OPPOSED and one was in favor of perpetual masking. The one in favor simply talked about how it is important and caring to be safe and protect each other. The 8 against gave actual data from many peer reviewed studies.
I have determined our county council is either willfully ignorant, brainwashed, or corrupt. They always vote in a bloc. Never is there any dissent. None of these possibilities is good. They all must go.
Naïve to think it is ignorance or brainwashing. It is corruption and they are getting paid, as the school boards are which has been reported.
People are starting to realize that elections really do have consequences and local elections like town/city council are extremely important. Our enemies have been extremely motivated and active even infiltrating and taking over the library system to cancel out books/videos that expose their agenda. I learned about that back in the 90’s when I read about it and than checked my library
Wow can’t believe that happened in Montgomery County! Home of retired GS 15 and SES. That’s amazing !
perhaps when one goes to testify, at least half your testimony is for the benefit of the audience.
in fact turning around and addressing the audience may be a strategy
More Bore: Yes, our strength is our rugged individualism. That’s why the enemy constantly works to crush it. I’m going to continue my individualism and serve as a role model for others who may wish to follow suit. There are millions of America individuals who will do the same thing.
I think our culture has progressed such that rugged individualism is not as required today as it used to be to survive. I know my grand parents and parents had it much harder than I did. My children and their children have it much easier than I did. Technology, standard of living, medical, etc has made it much easier. The woke class of today would not have survived in the 1930’s or 1940’s, but they flourish today.
Mark41: I view rugged individualism as a state of mind.
100% agree. Join local Tea Parties. A Treeper yesterday claimed he got into his local GOP and was helping to push MAGA agenda. Run for office, local on up. I personally like the run as a democrat angle if your in a Blue marxist state. A guy did that in the 90’s and caused the clowns of both parties to come out of the woodwork to defeat him. Exposed the Hegelian Dialectics of the fake right vs left. Educate yourself and do as much as you personally can.
Yeah, Boomers had it so good that my first mortgage carried a 14% interest rate! My father paid $4000/year for a private university education. I paid $67,000/year including scholarships they worked their butts off for, for my kids’ university education. This assigning blame by generation is stupid, counterproductive and just another division that plays into the hands of the Marxists. Grow up kiddies, very few of us were given what we have and we’ve all worked hard. Let’s keep the false divisiveness from infecting us and concentrate on making this world better.
Bravo!
.
Everyone seems to forget the Silent Generation.
ok, OC, here are the particulars for those interested….
generations by birth year:
the greatest generation – 1901 to 1927
the silent generation – 1928 to 1945
the baby boomers – 1946 to 1964
as far as characterizations of boomers go, one of the posters here suggested implanted memories based on overindulgence in ’80’s television shows.
gotta say, i think that’s plausible!😂
(miami vice has a lot to answer for….🥴)
bottom line is, we better ALL start pulling together or we’re ALL gonna be in deep doo-doo.😳
Too many think that getting engaged with local GOP will change something. It will not because the Party is controlled from top down.
I have been tilting at political windmills at local level for a decade. Globalism builds its power base top down and bottom up. Much damage is done to liberty and property rights at local level where it is cheap to buy politicians and news media with global capital and federal funding. Turn over any rock in city or country government and something will slither out.
We have to take over the party from bottom up. Simple step #1 is to become Chair of our own Precinct. Easy to do with a handful of votes at county convention. Then get a good District Chair, endorse patriotic primary candidates, head in-force to State conventions.
First it’s “move the date”, next it’s do away with the holiday, then it’s abolish Australia.
NWO = Build Back Better
they already do embrace NWO day. its called Earth Day.
Earth Day kind of petered out in the US. I wonder why that is?
It hasn’t gone away on the college campus or blue cities who joined the International Council for Environmental Initiatives. UN, NWO, Agenda 2021-2030. Also take notice of the new buzzword Resilient. Resilient Cities has turned into resilient towns into resilient kids.
Nobody cared and it didn’t make any money. But it was the precursor to get people to care about their environment, so it served a useful purpose. They transitioned to Climate Change with fake stats and a contrived urgency and an ingenious way to make tons of money by shifting subsidized money from governments to companies that make ‘sustainable’ things that we are told are more gentle on the earth and ecosystem. But they are lying.
Watch this very interesting documentary by Michael Moore that destroys this narrative. Yes, that Michael Moore. Banned from YouTube, which is owned by Google.

When people put twatter links up here how do you find out what the news is aside from clicking on it (which I won’t do ) ?
Agreed. No Twatter or Fakebook in our home.
How to fight back against electing RINOS. Many have discussed forming a new Conservative party, but that would probably be impractical and just help elect more Democrats. What if we demand Republican candidates to publicly declare they are an America First-Republican. They support American First policies(to be listed) including the acknowledgment there was significant evidence of fraud and corruption in the 2020 election.
Then establish an America First-Republican movement to help elect America First-Republican candidates and primary Establishment-Republicans(RINOS). Instead of supporting the RNC support an America First-Republican organization that organizes and funds the movement. Change from within.
If we had an organization like this, within the Republican Party, that could challenge people like McCarthy, McConnell, Chaney, Romney, etc., it possibly could get their attention to support America First policies.
Just a thought. The RNC and our current leadership just keep giving lip service to supporting and fighting for conservative governing and keep helping to elect more RINOS. Maybe an alternative to the RNC could give us an organization we could support.
A criminal cabal cannot and will not reform itself. Nothing will change in the GOPe until it implodes, or, patriots take over the party structure from bottom-up.
The RNC and DC’s Uniparty(R) cabal controls from top down, ensuring that constitutionalist, limited government candidate never make it through the Primary.
The way to do what you suggest is by becoming your own local GOP. Becoming Precinct chair is simple. Meeting district Chair to see if he/she is patriot and vote them out if not. Get patriots on local GOP committees especially platform and candidate selection committees.
“Impractical” is never defined. New parties form all the time.
Democratized mass communication has removed the logistical and organizational hurdles to forming a new party. You don’t need brick and mortar or large groups working independently in each locality. You can perform all the legal/administrative work in a collaborative, centralized website. This also has the effect of significantly reducing cost.
In contrast, trying to start a subparty within the GOP means you are forced to contend with rules and people who are explicitly hostile to you. Consider when Trump was deciding to enter the 2016 race the GOP demanded he pledge loyalty to the Republican candidate if he lost (which of course the GOP never demands of RINOs). This tactic will immediately be applied pledging you to vote RINO if your candidate loses.
Moreover, the GOP will institutionally fight any America First pledge drive as a direct conflict against their “Big Tent” agenda of embracing leftists. It’s just not “who we are”.
Finally, we have been fighting RINOs forever. They were known as Rockefeller Republicans way back. Decades have been lost trying to take over the GOP and failed against even brazen RINOs. Mitt Romney got elected senator in Utah as a known carpetbagging RINO.
3rd parties are the small, fringe party. That is the GOP the moment conservatives leave it.
Your first sentence is yesterday’s excuse for not forming a new party. A new party should have been formed after the steal when republicans were shamefully scrambling to be first to welcome Biden as legitimately elected. They refused to acknowledge the election fraud that took our rightful president out of office and most still won’t even talk about it even with all the evidence right in their faces.
That Republican Party should have been smashed ASAP. It didn’t happen. Yes it would have been very difficult, but it had millions of PTrump supporters mad as hell and ready to follow a legitimate party that represented him and them. Perfect time to make it successful.
What we have now is the establishment repubs still running the party so any MAGA candidates will have a very difficult time getting onboard. We could have had plenty of them now with no interference from the GOPe had we just gone for it in 2021 at warp speed to borrow a phrase. Imo.
Thank you for your comments about this. I’m not politically smart enough to understand what it would take to change our representatives to be more America First. It just seems to me if a new party was developed(America First/Tea Party) it could take years for that party to elect enough representatives to control legislation. Years we don’t have.
I think we have 212 House representatives and 49 Senators. Voters historically vote for incumbents and there are many moderate Republican that would stick with the Grand Old Party. So it would, IMO, take years to elect enough new party representatives to control. Even if the old and new parties caucuses together there would be a significant number of RINOs to block bad legislation or support good legislation.
Anyway, not to beat a dead horse, but somehow we need to get rid of RINOS quickly and replace with good America First people. It’s been like pushing a rope with the establishment controlling who we get for candidates and RNC support.
“Voters historically vote for incumbents and there are many moderate Republican that would stick with the Grand Old Party”.
Not this time.
Well Arnie I hope you are right, but I fear when we do indeed take back the House Kevin McCarthy will be elected to be Speaker by a large number of RINO types who were re-elected.
Absolutely correct !
Too bad President Trump has been unable to “figger” it out.
I won’t bore you with the truth, but President Trump figured it out a long time ago and is working 20 hours a day on it.
The Republican party is now totally controlled by the ‘kingmaker,’ but too many people on here don’t follow what he is doing.
Wise up!!
The republican party is controlled by the rnc and the likes of mcconnel and mccarthy, all of whom are Trump haters…
Perhaps it is you that needs to “wise up”.
Gosh! If only President Trump was as smart as you!
I am not the smartest person in the world, but am smart enough to know that the spineless republican party always snatches defeat from the jaws of Victory.
The republican party/rnc hates Trumps guts and has, since President Trump chose them as his way to victory, continued to stab him in the back at every opportunity.
If you really think the republicans are going to magically grow a set of balls and start winning, I have a bridge in Brooklyn for sale that you will want to buy for investment.
I remember what they did to the Make America First Again campaigns of Pat Buchanan. sabotaged him at every opportunity. Neocon conman Bill Bennett said he would leave the republican Party if the pre-Maga Buchanan won the primary against NAFTA/WTO Dole
If President Trump was as smart as most people he’d have “cleaned house” on Day One and gotten rid of every one of the thousands of Democrat appointees running the government. For some reason he kept 99% of them and then wondered why they kept stabbing him in the back?
I think President Trump deserves a little more credit than that.
And, I think our present situation is better served by the truth of the matter.
Does anyone here know how the Marxists got control of the Democrat party?
Could Constitutional Conservatives do the same with the Republican party?
Though I suspect it is rather late in the game to ask. But God may give us a reprieve in which to try.
Many members of both dims and republican parties have been communist sympathizers since the Bolshevik revolution of 1917.
Early on, our government was filled with communist sympathizers, including FDR, who was great friends with Joe Stalin, as was his wife Eleanor, who traveled to moscow numerous times to “visit” Joe.
Communism here in the USA languished during WWII but was alive and well after the war as evidenced by Joe McCarthy’s activities, including trying to convince we, the people, of communist plans to take over our system of education, our news media, and hollywood, all of which have come to pass.
LbJ, however revived communism when he took over as President and put the Democratic Party in a hard left turn with his “great society” programs.
At that time, the Southern States (remember the “solid South”) were the Conservative States, but LBJ’s liberal “great society” programs caused Conservative Democrats to abandon the dimocrat party and become Republicans simply because they had no other place to go.
On the other hand, liberal republicans flocked to the newly liberal dimocrat party en masse, rather than stay with the Conservatives…
In effect, LBJ’s “great society” programs caused the political parties to switch sides, the formerly “Solid South” of the Democratic Party remained the conservatives but were now republicans, and the influx of the liberal republicans to the dimocratic party caused the formerly conservative party to change to the current liberal/communist dimocratic party of today.
That would be a start. AND it could be the start of the new party that we desperately need. The more power and cohesiveness we can show would allow us to build from within and attract independents as well as some moderate democrats.
Thanks tKtK! I just think if we could come up with an organization that we America First voters could support, actively and financially, to take out and replace a few High Value RINOS like a McCarthy,Cheney, Crenshaw we would start getting the attention of other Republicans that they better get in line or possibly become a target.
Don’t know, but we need to do something and the only ideas I saw was to start another party. Just don’t think that would work.
I’m a middle aged conservative. And I have middle aged conservative friends. We do exist.
I don’t know what to do to help. I have attended protests and I have educated a LOT of people over the years. And I do a bunch of other small things, like spend my money diligently.
Otherwise I’m not sure what else I should do. I am open to suggestions – except I won’t run for politics for a number of reasons.
Rach: My advice is to go about your business, do what you believe should be done, and serve as a role model by demonstrating the success of your way of doing things. Don’t worry about joining protests. Instead, make your own protest.
Thank you. You’re right about the role model thing. My young co-workers used to ask my advice a lot, on work, life and politics. And now that I’m no longer there, I still get messages from some of them, which is quite sweet. And a few had conservative ideals, but didn’t know much about politics.
And I will keep looking for opportunities to throw sand into the machinery.
So I received word yesterday that my religious exemption had been approved and they gave me until Friday to advise if I agree to their “accommodations.”
—“Masking at all time when in office except for when eating and/or drinking.
—Weekly Covid-19 testing. The timing and method of testing will be decided by the Company prior to your return to office.
—As part of this accommodation offered, the Company has identified and established a separate area for you to work within the building. You will be required to work in this designated area. There may be additional restrictions dependent on your office location.”
The masking is practically the same company wide, so not a huge issue, given I have my own office with a door.
The isolation reference is odd, because there is nowhere else I could possibly be than my private office. I have asked for clarification.
The testing is the biggest issue- lots of unknowns. This supposedly starts Monday and I just got it last night. I have asked for more specifics on testing- type, method, cost and who is covering it. I cannot make any decision without all the info being given to me.
I am looking at other options every day and interviewing when I can, as this is not going to fly long term. A lot of loyalty and trust has been broken and can’t be repaired.
Keep me and my family in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks!
If it doesn’t involve the jab, survive to fight another day. Good luck with your employment search.
The shame of all this is if companies would test all employees for 4-6 weeks my bet is they would find it is the jabbed that are testing positive at a much higher level than the unjabbed.
Proving that the transmission is most likely NOT coming from the unjabbed but either the jabbed or the jab itself.
The testing is just another part of the scam. Results are a crap shoot with dice loaded to positive, and testing numbers are scientifically and statistically meaningless. Each test spent just takes $$$ from you and transfers them to the testing company. An entire new food chain has been set up around testing, its a big club, and you ain’t in it.
Do not comply. No shots, no tests, no masks. Pray for guidance, help, and support. Be ready and open when that stil, small voice tells you where to go and what to do next. As Leonard Cohen sings, “Hineni,Hineni, I am ready, my Lord.”
The “test” isn’t accurate and does not work! So testing does nothing but fuel the fire of “tested positives” which is a complete fraud. The news media pounds the table that Omnicon is raging and millions of idiots line up to prove the news media right!
Congratulations, FreedomNinja, what relief you must feel! Happy your Religious Exemption was finally approved, I’ve been rooting (praying) for you!
My daughter is facing a similar issue at her workplace and I was wondering if you would feel comfortable posting your successful letter? (of course, leaving out all the personal info). Thank you!
She can make it her own
2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
The above Bible verses resonate with me and speak to mRNA gene editing experiments.
I believe the word of God, that my body is the temple of the Living God. God’s children are lovingly created in His image. He resides in each and every one of us.
No man shall defile our bodies and separate us from our Creator. I was born in God’s image with a perfectly functioning immune system, and I am in need of no other.
My conscience compels me to trust the word of God. He is all-knowing and omnipresent. Only God knows His ultimate plan for me.
After fervent prayer and careful consideration, it is my sincerely held religious belief that mRNA injections will forever alter my God-given body, separate us and result in my spiritual death.
I cannot in good conscience defile the temple of the living God against my better judgement, without suffering unbearable consequences. I therefore request a religious exemption with reasonable accommodations for my continued employment.
Thank you, Judith, for this help! Much appreciated!!!
You are very welcome. Everybody I know was granted religious exemptions, even a hospital worker in a hostile work environment. Let go and let God guide your path.
Thank you for your considerate reply, Judith! Much appreciated! (I replied to you yesterday but today my post is missing)
So your company is going ahead with shot mandates even though OSHA has taken off the mandate?
Yes.
Sad
Send them a letter informing them “they” have no liability waiver for adverse events.
This was their goal all along – bully and threaten, run roughshod over the law, all the while knowing the mandates are against the law and would be shot down – but meanwhile, they’ve gotten millions of sheep to “vaccinate,” as well as gotten all the big corporations and business on board immediately and then when “rescinded,” Corporate America have the mandates in place and THEY become the “bad guy” enforcers with their “legal” requirements for employment.
Demonic Genius! We are not fighting flesh and blood!
Exactly.
And tell those who have stood their ground and lost their livelihood, that this
was just a “suggestion”. Ya, right.
I bet they are getting paid; federal incentive.
This. Use their system against them. If they are mandating masks make them show you science that they work and there is a threat. Make them prove the testing is accurate and works. Make them prove that segregation is necessary. Just say no. Make them fire uou.
I would be curious about the data they are using to justify testing of unvaxed employees and not vaxed.
It appears from everything I’ve seen that vaxed are just as likely to spread the virus as unvaxxed, so why different treatment?
Sounds like dicrimination based on medical status to me.
People are all too willing to make statements, like Jen Psaki’s statement yesterday condemning those advocating for early treatment when shots and boosters have proven “safe and effective.”
No one challenges these people, so the lies and inaccuracies become “truth.”
Thanks for that real-world perspective.
Prayers and good thoughts your way.
Yep. And when you depose the company owners/top management team, ask them if they vaxxed themselves.
Don’t just ask. Make them prove it!
When the local 5 star retirement home tried that with my friend’s mother, my friend promptly filed complaints with regard to HIPPA violations, elder abuse and discrimination against a disabled person.
Her mother’s proper care was promptly restored, the place paid a fine and it lost one of its coveted stars.
I don’t know if this will be helpful, but it’s a true example.
I will keep you in my prayers. I’m retired, so for the time being, I am not subject to this threat of losing an income.
However, the tone of their “accommodations” is demeaning and seems to be aimed more at punishing you for refusing he vax and thus coercing you to change your mind, than it is anything to “protect the health of your co-workers”.
I have worn a mask in very limited situations (like visiting my family member in a nursing home) and the more I look back, the more I see how the mask was used to gradually condition us to following their orders. I do not trust the tests. I also think they are preloaded with a certain % of positive/negative results. And who knows what is on those things you stick in your nose. So the testing would be more a non-starter with me than the masking. At least the mask is something you can control and take on and off.
Only you know the risk you’d face if you told them to stuff it and just quit and found another job. I hope you can find something soon. But I will continue to pray for you and so many others in similar circumstances.
Thanks so much.
Deleted by me. Replied to the wrong comment.
I highly recommend you put everything in writing, preferably email with BCC to you.
G-d bless.
Let us know what kind of work you do and where you want to work, location/remote etc and I’m sure you will get some suggestions here. I worked in Career Development for 8 years and understand the power of cover letters when you are applying to the black hole of Indeed, Career Builder, LinkedIn etc. God bless you – stay strong
There is zero scientific reason to test an asymptomatic person. Zero. If you decide to put up with being treated as a 2nd class citizen, however, game the testing. Use a providone iodine nasal spray 15-30 minutes before the test. It kills the viral load, keeps you healthy, and practically ensures you will always test negative.
Good luck. I wouldn’t put up with the nonsense, they are wrong, the science does not support their position, and if they want to be stupid they should suffer from your absence. But it’s your choice. Best wishes.
Who would had thought an effective People weapon for maintaining Freedoms would be Trucks and Truckers. Notice it is not the “vaccine” it is the “mandates” the focus.
For those quick to blame Trump, it is not the “vaccine” it is the “mandates”. I have little use for those who cannot think for themselves. They are the slaughterhouse sheep standing at the foot of slaughterhouse chutes following goats.
Just saw a pic of a Canadian rig that had “Make CANADA Great Again” on the side. It also had “It’s time to take our freedom back”. People long to be free! It is the way God designed us!
i think the jury is still out on “effective”
the key will be sustained forcing functions. our team does not have a great track record in that regard.
I care less about the jury still being out. What is the point is the “willingness” to fight back, to do something, to take action.
No War is won until it is over. You can be one of those “I told you so’s” who stand on the sidelines and “watch” things happen or you can be one of those who “make” things happen. If you are a “sideliner” you can do your part by standing out of the way of those who “make” things happen.
That is why folks with higher order military and civil operational/project management training need to look at this as a form of warfare or civil operation/project. Ever since 1918, TRUCKS are the currency of effective logistics.
Go look at the Virginia Project’s tweets from the 13th through the 15th.
It is clear they approached the Virginia take back from a military point of view, using strategies and tactics drawn from that background. Very interesting. Wish we all had that playbook, but I can see why they didn’t brag about it before achieving victory.
.
Who would have thought?
Everyone in my family — a trucking family — is who . . .
My dad always said just what these truckers are saying — they can shut things down if need be.
We keep seeing signs the GOP has no desire to actually oppose leftists. Their true function is to protect leftist policies from being rescinded once they are passed. This is the so called “leftwing ratchet”. Obamacare is the best current example.
The intentional passivity of the GOP has been disguised and mislabeled as “feckless” or cowardly. It is anything but. It is planned and intentional. So complaining about how Republicans need to act like a real opposition party is to complain that the GOP is a fake opposition party but without accepting the implications.
https://thefederalist.com/2022/01/25/republicans-plan-to-win-back-the-senate-then-do-nothing-per-usual/
Republicans Plan To Win Back The Senate, Then Do Nothing, Per Usual. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., the leader of the Senate’s Republican conference, has announced he’s not even putting out an agenda for 2022. According to reporting by Axios last month, McConnell told a room full of donors, lobbyists, and in-cycle senators that he would not be putting forward an agenda outlining the priorities for his conference should Senate Republicans regain a majority in 2022.
What McConnell likely means by “I’ll let you know” is that K Street’s concerns will be satisfied. Wall Street will get what it needs, as will the corporate industry titans, including the Big Tech firms.
The left has a grip on major federal institutions, not to mention universities and major cultural entities all over the country. It’s laughable to think their relentless march will stop simply because McConnell now runs the Senate instead of Schumer.
“ratchet” is a good analogy. The GOP ensures fascism turns incrementally, in only one direction.
I and many others have compared the RINOS to the Washington Generals or to the patsy taking a dive in rigged boxing: they are not supposed to win!
The status quo is corrupt: keeping the the status quo means keeping corruption alive and well.
Crony Capitalism with rigged elections putting puppets and marionettes on stage while Communist China and technoligarchs pull the strings.
“A republic….if you can keep it!!”
To me, the RINOS and their Never Trumper allies are more like the WW2 Vichy French — and MAGA is like the Free French Resistance…
I despise cocaine mitch. what an example of a corrupt politician who is in it for himself or his wife in mitchs case.. I wish he and so many other repubs will get replaced but I am not holding my breath, At this age not a good idea..
This is a joke, right?
Cash Aid to Poor Mothers Increases Brain Activity in Babies, Study Finds
The research could have policy implications as President Biden pushes to revive his proposal to expand the child tax credit.
A study that provided poor mothers with cash stipends for the first year of their children’s lives appears to have changed the babies’ brain activity in ways associated with stronger cognitive development, a finding with potential implications for safety net policy.
https://archive.is/517
LOL. Insensitive alert.
OOOKKKK. Why? Because the mothers then get off their butts and maybe take the babies out of the house and into the world so they can spend the cash, in addition to the crap they buy from Amazon? Or because more cash allows them to feed the baby a little bit better because there is more leftover after buying chips and soda?
This the the dumbest thing, someone did a study on this?
Just give them a nanny for the year.
A couple I know in their early thirties with 2 small kids get this stipend. They live with his mom and pay absolutely nothing. They just started working this last year and still pay nothing. The stipend has now afforded them new tv’s, gaming systems etc. …pathetic!
I could not get to document via that link.
Research funding in all areas of science is now centrally controlled by feds. Scientific researchers then show what the feds need shown, or go hungry.
Garbage in. Garbage out.

Thx. So now I get it. I can translate and simplify:
Making an economic slave out of a mother greatly increases that government’s ability to enslave her children.
New York Times spin….
https://archive.is/5175v
Who funded the study? That’s as important as who counts the votes.
President Trump’s policy of bringing jobs back was better for children than any handout to a parent.
Also better for the environment because companies doing business in China don’t have to take responsibility for environmental pollution.
That did more for the environment than handing over billions to a world government organization.
they are quite happy to tell you.
Home | Baby’s First Years (babysfirstyears.com)
Note all mothers recruited were given money monthly unconditionally. Some a lot, and some a small amount.
Recruitment into a ‘Baby’s First Years’ program is in itself biasing the results.
Having regular interviews with pointed questions is also biasing.
No blinding is mentioned. Interviewers and testers really shouldn’t know who is given what, if they want unbiased results. And the amount given to other participants should be kept secret.
If you read to the end of the about segment, you will read that the study was ‘designed to produce clear and strong evidence’. Nothing like paying to deliver a predetermined outcome. They go on to say it is about policies, tax and social policies of government.
No one should have kids till they can pay to raise them.
My 44-year-old son would disagree, as do I. Down to the last seven bucks in checking account when I learned I was pregnant. Abortion wasn’t an option. Went back to work ten days after son was born, not realizing I was hemorrhaging. Never got a dime from any government assistance. That wasn’t an option, either.
Now I’m blessed with two granddaughters and, at 70 and partially disabled, keep on fighting. For them.
Had I waited until I could “pay to raise” children, I’d still be childless. My .02.
You are part of the tough roots that this country needs more of 🙂
“waiting until you can afford children” was also part of globalists’ social engineering campaign for America to lower birthrate. As was feminism. As was welfare.
Absolutely. While I waited until I finished college, got married and could afford a family, that was not the case with the generation my older sisters were raised in. None of them went to college. They got married young (late teens, early twenties) and they raised families.
I think one difference is what it means to “afford” to have a family. Sad to say, but my kids’ generation seems to think you need to have enough to start out with a house (not a 1-bedroom apartment like many did in the past), 2 cars and the income to afford best daycare and travel and all that stuff we’ve been conditioned to think we must have.
We can all survive on much less, including me. And we may have to.
Why so many young Americans have such small families. They have one child, and take such a financial hit, they hesitate to have another.
I know one woman having her third child who claimed she was seriously considering dropping by the hospital at the last minute to deliver, and running out on the bill. Yes, with health insurance.
She said it cost about ten grand just to give birth in a hospital, and this hospital had hundreds of illegal aliens and others getting free maternity care.
its part and parcel of the output that modern education has wrought: a total inability to understand cause and effect.
Couldn’t we insert rolls of $20s into the uterus and increase the baby’s brain activity pre birth?
I am 42, and chomping at the bit. I am ready to Rock and Roll when ever y’all are ready to go, where ever it is we are going..
Conspiracy Reality: Go where you think we should be going. Others will follow. Don’t wait for someone else to do something.
This a frivolous example but an apt one: Remember that video of music playing outside on a beautiful day but nobody was dancing? All it takes is one and others will follow until everybody was up on their feet and joining the dancing, as was demonstrated by that video.
My husband always said, “I don’t know where I’m going, but I’m on my way!” It’s his way of saying don’t worry too much about the destination. Learn to appreciate the journey.
Sage advice. The fact is we’re all in a pickle. Our dear Republic hangs by a thread and the enemy has long ago cleared the gates and now attacks us from within. We all need to act in some form or fashion. Demonstrate, educate sheeple, support true MAGA candidates, anything helps. But to sit behind your computer screen and watch the world crumble in front of your eyes will only end one way and that is not a good ending for any of us.
So, dear Treepers, do something, do anything, because doing nothing assures our defeat. God bless you all.
For starters, check out your local city or county or town council meeting agenda. Observe.
Back when living in town I met and interacted with a wide range of public officials at of all places volunteering at the local zoo. There were always events and fundraisers.
Immerse locally, see what’s up. No need to go in with guns blazing; do recon first. Start local; most of us live the vast majority of our lives locally.
What’s the neighborhood up to? TBH, I met a lot of neighbors when my mom worked the local precinct polls at our neighborhood church. That was a good introduction to the political process as a child.
Where I live now everything is mail-in ballots so no polls but getting to know neighbors can still help.
Particular to where I live, when neighbors are shooting, sometimes I’ll stop by and chat and/or shoot together. Another way of getting to know neighbors. If not shooting, another hobby or interest. Circulate. Socialize. It’s easy to cocoon. BTDT. Baby steps.
Abbott is a complete failure in Texas.. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10442183/Large-numbers-single-adult-illegal-immigrants-seen-released-Texas.html

Bring on Allen West!
And Aarron Sorrells for Lt. Gov.
Our primary is March 1st. Every Texan should seek out candidate forums and make an informed decision. Then vote on election day, not early and definitely not by mail!!! Don’t give the cheaters any ammunition to steal your vote!
PS: Check for wifi signals before you go in to vote. Make sure those damn machines aren’t connected to the internet.
out of curiosity, what would you suggest if they ARE connected to the internet or you see wifi signals?
the issue is citizens of each state have to force that to change BEFORE you get to the booth.
I do realize the change should be already done, but Texas kept the machines. If I saw they were connected, I guess I would take a screen shot, then go to the poll watcher & election judge or whoever is there with any authority. Raise a stink—start there.
How does someone do this and what do they look for?
Asking for a friend?
Adams does just enough, but never not enough. People as Adams are always a “pain in the ass”.
Sigh, more ABBOTT bashing propaganda.
So, who is the actual RINO candidate in the Republican primary?
Allen West, that’s who.
The one term Florida congressman was selected by GOP elites to be the Chairman of the Texas GOP organization.
He resigned to run for Governor, against Abbott, in the upcoming primary. No way he’d run for Governor against the supposed Bush family RINO choice without Texas RINO support. That makes Allen West the RINO’s chosen one for Governor.
And, West’s Tea Party experience is great cover for a fake conservative wannabe.
Think this through. It’s not that tough.
And, think about the constant campaign of Abbott bashing on conservative forums. It’s the RINO’s lying to us again to trick us into voting for their candidate.
Yes, burning bras, spreading stds, drug use, communes, and mom’s leaving their families to go find themselves. The good ole’ days.
I lived The Wonder Years in suburbia. That stuff didn’t happen to any of the families I knew. Collectively, we were very much like the Arnolds, although there was more alcohol involved.
What you’re talking about occurred largely on TV screens. The propaganda was thick back then, too.
The ENEmedia identifies a “problem” that needs our undivided attention, and then they beat us over the head with it every chance they get. Back then, it was civil rights, women’s rights, unjust wars and drugs.
And sixty years later, it’s the same issues. You’d think the powers-that-be would want to actually solve these problems they beat us over the head with every chance they get?
Nah.
It looks like they want to wipe the slate clean now and just start over without us.

My father always used to say “They don’t call it practicing medicine for nothing you know” Amazing when you get older you learn how smart your parents actually were this whole time.
I have been thinking this might be the case for a long time.
Figured that out after going through the chemo circus. Became so obvious it was all about pushing toxic chemicals into people not expected to live anyways.
Biden to bring in more Illiterate third world rapists.
Looks like Obama is beefing up his domestic dream army with additional fighting age males.
And remember every refugee and third world immigrant invader shipped in here is additional “toxic” green House gases, pollution, and less open spaces (on the fake environmental angle) The Environmental movement is a fraud as is everything about the Neo-Soviet democrat Globalism agenda. Communism/Fascism/National Socialism/Globalism. “ISM”
As stated before by me and many others, the tactics used to divide us are extensive and are at all levels, especially age groups.
Race, religion, ethnicity ain’t the only cards being played.
The blame game is the easiest game to play. Fixing what’s wrong will take everyone’s participation.
Biden looking to use pandemic to back door amnesty for millions of illiterate third world invaders.
May the Democrat party and the globalists be completely destroyed
Dear father, please use these current challenges to expose the corruption in our intuitions and destroy those responsible for inflicting harm and suffering on we the people.
In Jesus name I pray.

I saw the young lady who wrote this last night on Tucker. She was very impressive. I swear, she looked like she was in middle school!
Ha yes. Hubby and I were like she looks 12, but is extremely articulate.
Then I thought to myself, not surprising she isn’t all “dolled-up” to try & look older bc she’s got a good head on her shoulders. Unlike her lefty peers.
The ” Story ” keeps changing. Curiousier & Curiousier .
The Danville , Pa. woman is now said to not have pink-eye but rather Covid after exposure to the lab monkey accident. ( Treated for rabies and given antibiotic as ‘precaution’ , isn’t rabies treated with a series of injections ? Kind of an involved process ??? IDK ? )
OK, fine , but reading this report from ” The Daily Item ” it says State Police say only THREE monkeys escaped and were caught and euthanized ……. It was FOUR monkeys originally.
( We know one thing , they usually LIE about everything )
The Daily Item newspaper – Francis Scarcella , 7 hrs ago
CDC propaganda.
Since the ENEmedia reported this, they *want* us to hear about it. And if that’s the case it is likely disinfo meant to scare us, just like everything else they report.
Truth is suppressed, but lies go round the world.
.
The woman’s story makes no sense.
She claims she was told that there were cats being transported.
Then she stuck her fingers into a cage to ‘comfort’ a cat by sticking her fingers in its cage . . .?
Since I am not a cat person, there is no way I would stick my fingers in a cage with a cat, much less any other type of animal.
She just may be stupid, and thereby have no sense, which is how I started this comment . . .
I’ll be voting in this primary. Any idea why Trump made this choice? Is there bad blood between Trump and Starbuck?
PDJT has a long, deep game. Most of it has a goal of pulling back a big multi layer curtain……
…or just a reward for Ortagus b-slapping Adam Schiff.
Update: Now they are saying President Trump has been “updated” on Starbuck and his qualifications.
Daniel Bostic on Twitter: “Trump’s latest endorsement also appears to have cozied up to the Biden administration. Photo appears to have been taken the day before his inauguration.”
She calls Trump a boy and a carnival barker, poses with Biden–and gets his endorsement over a MAGA candidate.
Trump is just phoning it in now.
There must be so few allies in Politics for President Trump that he is forced to back whomever wants the job?
Or this is a test for us to pass, to make sure we do our own vetting and our own thinking, to get us into the habit.
A lot of Trump voters said Nope when Trump got the jab. They were not going to do it just because he said so. That attitude needs to cross over into political endorsements IMHO. He has a lousy track record.
Yes, I’m nitpicking, but bad grammar makes me go nuts.
It should be “I and many others”
Yes. Parochial school- 16 years …ahh, how they hammered good grammer ….usually with a ruler 😆
As for his endorsement? I have no idea.
This sounds like Birx’s “We didn’t celebrate” excuse for her Thanksgiving family gathering. If it truly was an ambush, why didn’t Boris run away and call security? Why didn’t he grab a mask?

The deputies greeted him with a standing ovation. Raisi talked about global threats. And these are not only “American shaitans” who, according to the guest, “are transferring terrorists to Central Asia.”
“Thank you for the cooperation between Russia and Iran under the wise management of President Putin,” Raisi sums up.

I believe Alex Berenson predicted something like this:
Tonga aid mission in doubt as crew on rescue ship are hit with Covid
An outbreak on a Navy ship threatens to disrupt critical aid deliveries to Tonga, while other Pacific islands also suffer Covid outbreaks
Close to two dozen crew on board an Australian Navy ship heading to the Pacific nation of Tonga with vital medical and humanitarian supplies have been diagnosed with Covid-19, throwing the disaster relief mission into doubt.
The HMAS Adelaide is due to deliver aid to Tonga, which was struck with the double catastrophe of a volcanic eruption and deadly tsunami last week, leaving the population of some 100,000 in dire need of shelter, fresh drinking water and food supplies.
But the outbreak among the 600-strong crew leaves the Tongan authorities with a dilemma: does the need for emergency supplies trump the risk of allowing Covid-19 to spread among a vulnerable population, that has so far remained untouched by the pandemic?

The 2013 CIA Coup in Ukraine
“This documentary explores the 2013 US color revolution in Ukraine that led to the replacement of Ukraine’s democratically elected government with a coalition of neo-Nazi groups covertly supported CIA-funded foundations. Late investigative journalist Robert Parry appears in the film to describe his investigations into the role of the US Embassy; CIA-funded foundations like the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID); George Soros’s Renaissance Foundation and the Dutch Embassy.”-

“Importantly for the Russians, and after all the panic that resulted from Putin merely moving a hundred thousand troops to southern positions but within Russia’s own sovereign borders, it appears momentum is moving in their direction. Russia may get what it wants after all: guarantees of no further NATO eastward expansion – or at least for the West to take its concerns seriously.
The US previously said this demand was a “non-starter” – but given the rapid shift in atmosphere surrounding tensions, it’ll be interesting to see if by week’s end the US tune is very different.
For for time being, some level of
militaryeconomic threats and counterthreats look to continue…”https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/russia-ukraine-crisis-deescalating-nato-countries-break-bellicose-us-uk-stance
Sounds about right. NATO should have died years ago, but the neocons tried to keep it alive and expanding, using such as Ukraine to push it, and use it for graft and wealth transfer. Putin’s just doing us a favor, exposing these globalist crooks.
“From the moment the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the United States has relentlessly pursued a strategy of encircling Russia, just as it has with other perceived enemies like China and Iran. It has brought 12 countries in central Europe, all of them formerly allied with Moscow, into the NATO alliance. US military power is now directly on Russia’s borders…This crisis is in part the result of a zero-sum calculation that has shaped US policy toward Moscow since the Cold War: Any loss for Russia is an American victory, and anything positive that happens to, for, or in Russia is bad for the United States. This is an approach that intensifies confrontation, rather than soothing it.” (“US a full partner in Ukraine debacle”, Boston Globe)
You have no idea what Biden promised Putin if he would move 100k troops to the Ukrainian border.
I wonder if President Trump is going to Conroe, Texas to try to save Abbott in the primary?
Good question. Outsider meddling in TX Republican Primaries has started in earnest. If President Trump plans to endorse RINO’s for “practical” reasons, he needs to sit on the sidelines to let Texans decide which RINO or non-RINO is to win the primary. Then come on down to do his endorsing.
Last nigh received phone calls from Rand Paula and Ted Cruz on behalf of Representative Van Taylor (TX-3).
Hasn’t he already endorsed Abbott?
He did indirectly in 2020 but I have not seen or heard anything. Not saying President Trump has or has not done so. I am just not aware of anything lately.
My bigger concern is that Lt Gov Dan Patrick and AG Ken Paxton have been targetd for removal by the RNC.
They are the action end of anything Abbott can claim as “his action” and those actions have rankled establish GOP.

These are the 8 Republicans that are running for the Governors position in Texas. That’s a lot to be running in a race that some know won’t get very many votes.
I believe the Rino’s place candidates in the races to split the vote in order to get their candidate elected. That’s why we get Cornyn, whom I can’t stand.
I went to a meeting in east Texas yesterday where Col. Allen West was the guest speaker. I was very impressed.
I’m very disappointed in Abbott. I don’t care if President Trump, will or has, endorsed Abbott, my family and I won’t be voting for him.

And this is just the early stuff. Wait 10 years to see what long term effects are.
Assuming $85 billion worth of hardware left behind and 143.3 million taxpayers (2017), that would be $593 per taxpayer.
Assuming a total war cost through 2021 of $2.261 trillion, that’s $15,778 per taxpayer.
US lives lost: no value can possibly be applied.
The funniest thing I’ve seen all morning!
In a nut shell: The mayor of Sa Luis Obispo (CA). Resigned her position
to dedicate herself to the “Climate cause.” In attempting to drive her
electric car from SLO to San Francisco, Her electric car was running low of charge
halfway there. She attempted to find a charging station and recorded the whole thing….
The video is at the bottom and is a MUST watch if you want a good laugh!!!
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2022/01/schadenfreude_overload_on_virtuesignaling_former_mayor_of_san_luis_obispo_who_stepped_down_to_fight_climate_change.html
Perfect! It never occurs to her to head over to Enterprise or Hertz, but she wants the Police?! ….and a helicopter?!
GREAT quote that now goes into my quotes file. It was in the comments to that YouTube video.
“She had without exception the most stupid, vulgar, empty mind that he had ever encountered. She had not a thought in her head that was not a slogan, and there was no imbecility, absolutely none, that she was not capable of swallowing if the Party handed it out to her.” – Winston Smith in George Orwell’s 1984
I’m no genius, but THIS is EXACTLY what I expected to hear would happen back when they first started talking about electric cars. LOL
SLO to SF is a whopping 232 to 242 mile drive. Her problem was choosing the wrong EV. She probably tried it in a Leaf or Bolt. All Tesla’s would’ve made it there and back with maybe 30 mins to 1 hour of charing.
For a lot of people a low range EV is ok (they only drive 10 to 20 miles a day). A lot of people can get by with a Tesla and their charging network for longer trips (it seems all other charging infrastructure sucks, i.e. chargers frequently out-of-service and low charging speeds).
A company in Michigan already has built a battery pack to go in a Tesla Model S that went ~730 miles without a charge. The next 5 years will see huge increases in battery tech. Not everyone will convert, but a lot will once a vehicle can get 500 to 700 miles on a single charge without the huge price tag.
It will be decades before a complete abandonment of ICE vehicles occur, but it will. I’m in my mid-40’s and I think my generation and those closely behind are the last one’s that will broadly be into performance mods and such on ICE vehicles. The high schoolers of today won’t be.
All that said, she’s still an idiot. We were in Pismo Beach (just south of SLO) in July 2020 and it was essentially free. Hardly any masks and the businesses didn’t brother you. Lots of F%4& Newsome stickers. SLO has always been a liberal cess pool, nice little town though. I grew up between SLO and Santa Barbara and most areas between the two (90 miles) are highly conservative.
So how much do those battery packs that will go 730 miles cost to replace?
Those who are mostly passive personalities, of any age, will find excuses for doing little beyond complaining, no matter how bad things get.
Some active personalities will take actions as things get worse.
The rest of us will mostly bitch and moan and hope somebody else will do what we think ought to be done.
It’s human nature.
I’m rooting for the active personalities that make things happen to shove the bitchers and moaners into a corner where they must act in self defense.
Sounds like your describing current events, so you may get your wish.
