Earlier today, a grand jury delivered a four count indictment related to Mosby’s efforts to swindle COVID pandemic relief money for her own personal gain. Two counts of perjury (pandemic relief money), and two counts of falsifying mortgage applications without revealing she had outstanding IRS liabilities. She tried to purchase homes in Florida.
BALTIMORE – A Maryland grand jury on Thursday indicted Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby on two counts of perjury and two counts of filing false mortgage applications.
Mosby faces a hearing at an unscheduled date in the U.S. District Court of Maryland in Baltimore. If convicted on the charges, Mosby faces up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine for each count of filing a false mortgage application and up to five years in prison for each perjury charge.
The perjury charges stem from Mosby’s application for pandemic relief money in May and December of 2020, when the attorney filed for federal relief dollars even though she “had not experienced any of the enumerated financial hardships she claimed to have experienced,” according to court documents.
Mosby was earning more than $247,000 annually at the time of both filings, but collected more than $9,000 in biweekly installments from the relief money. (read more)

She claims 90 percent of those prosecuted resulted in convictions, but the kicker is most of those were plea bargained down to lesser charges. One good example is a recent case where she prosecuted a guy who tried to burn down a house with three people in it and plead it down from three counts of attempted murder by arson to a simple arson case. The guy is already out on the street. Even he is amazed he is out on the street. He was interviewed by the local Fox News Channel and said so in the interview. You just can’t make this stuff up. But that’s Baltimore…

You should know that this woman’s husband , Nick Moseby, who I believe is still a delegate from Baltimore, pushed for a changing of a mountain’s name in the western most county in Maryland. Yes, a mountain name change. Name of the mountain, NEGRO mountain. The history goes back literally hundreds of years and what most historians found is that the name was in no way derogatory for its time. A lot of it is just subjective but the name has stood for again, hundreds of years.
A few years back, there were some black students at one of far west universities which was triggered by the name and brought it to his attention. This student actually lived in Frederick, which is a good two hours from the mountain. Even at the university, it was a good 20 miles west of that.
When it came to a committee meeting for addressing the name change, Moseby didn’t even show up. The name still stands in a heavy Republican western end of the state.
