Chris Wallace was increasingly becoming naked to his audience, and as a direct outcome, increasingly useless for propaganda distribution. Today, the functionally obsolescent gatekeeper announced, effective immediately, he was leaving Fox News. Moments later, CNN announced Chris Wallace was joining them. Wallace was not the first departure. The increased public awareness of the manipulative construct that is Fox News (writ large) is the same reason why Steve Hayes and Jonah Goldberg were released. That is also the same motive for Fox hiring Dan Bongino.
Although it is yet to be announced, the Fox News contracts for Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham also will not be renewed after their current terms expire. With more people finding more places where genuine source material facts are cited with sunlight, the ability for controlled opposition pundits to thrive is demonstrably lessened.
Traditional cable news is modifying itself accordingly with subscription based services.
If you want to avoid uncomfortable truth, if you want to be fed propaganda, if you want to get talking points just to support your skewed and ideologically flawed world view, and if you want to avoid confronting your own preconceptions, the subscriber services from both Fox News and CNN will now provide the direct injection of propaganda and misinformation you need to retain the status quo. This is the new business model for cable news platforms.
An entirely new media infrastructure has assembled outside the influence of corporations. Understanding current events, real news and information based on fact, is no longer dependent on corporations. Independent researchers and information providers are giving the raw material citations directly to audiences on a variety of platforms.
In the bigger picture, these are the consequences from identifying “fake news” publicly, and yes, we can thank Donald J. Trump for that. This is the biggest gift that Donald Trump created outside of his America First political agenda. Donald J. Trump was/is a walking red pill; a “touchstone”: a visible, empirical test or criterion for determining the quality or genuineness of anything political.

I s/h known earlier. Like father like son ehh? Chrissy, born w/a silver socialist spoon in his mouth, had nothing to do but sit back and criticize the world as it was. Daddy paid for his summer camps, private schools, and college tuition. No “physical” work for Chrissy and never a day in uniform. But he could critcise so smoothly. He can go “home” now and be unabashedly left. CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC are all kept afloat by non TV ad revenue and are slowly being revealed to be what they have been for the past 20 years. Wallace has been on my sh*t list for many years now. I could never figure out why FOX kept him on other than being the son of Mike Wallace. But Newsmax isn’t much better with their recent refusal to renew the contract of Emerald Robinson who regularly challenged the narrative especially on COVID.
I thought Ingraham did pretty good work but Hannity loses me with his worship of RINO Lindsey Graham. The rejection of mainstream news platforms is a big reason why the elites are screaming for censorship across all social media and alternative platforms like GAB and Rumble. I stopped watching Chris Wallace’s show many years ago. My take was back then, that if I wanted to watch a CNN style show, aggressively confronting Republican guests, while politely agreeing with everything a Democrat guest had to say, I should just switch from FOX to the CNN channel. I guess I had pegged him just right. Fair and balanced he was not!
Ridicule is the ‘garlic’ to these ‘vampires’ like Wallace who for many, many years have drunk the blood provided by we the working unwashed masses. I am very grateful to Sundance not just for these many years but for his attribution, correctly, that Donald J Trump is/was the reason America is waking up and these UniParty ‘fake’ news proponents are getting tossed. I guess Chris Wallace departure from FOX News makes no difference to me. For at least 15 years I have changed my TV channel as soon as I saw Wallace on the one I tuned in to. I won’t miss that bozo even if his new gig fails.
We all need a new way of getting news.
Lets start with it needs to get ratings and must appeal the largest audience possible like, oh, let’s say the Apprentice.
The “show” would open with an introduction of the problem of the week, then introduce experts that will challenge the contestants on coming up with solutions. The contestants could be anybody with any point of view that cares about the subject. The contestants and experts will also be from different points of view/politics.
The contestants will compete for financing and endorsement for any office they wish to run for. This will look a bit like Shark Tank but mostly follow the apprentice model except that it is about America, it’s problems, and solutions.
This show would not only be entertaining with competition but also provide a wide point of view with deep probing questions that most people have never seen asked, let alone answered. It would also become a farm league as it were for future politicians or business people because some solutions are simply a new business model. The show would also bring us updates on any contestants, their accomplishments, and plans.
We need something to break the media logjam and right after Trump does a hostile takeover of ABCNNBS, fires the lot of them, and announces TMN (Truth Media Network) we might get to see some change.
Good riddance to bad rubbish! Let him go down with the CNN ship! Faux News needs to hire a true American to replace him.

I quit Fox years ago and learned that there are EXCELLENT sources for pure data and some great thought/opinion pieces from fellow travelers. CTH is a mainstay. There are a few more.
