Oregon Governor Kate Brown recently dropped all reading, writing and math proficiency standards for high school graduation, because she claimed it was unfair to “people of color” for them to have to pass tests in order to graduate {Go Deep}. Expecting black, brown and latino students to comprehend math and write in coherent sentences is racist – or so goes the policy. Governor Brown also mandated that masks continue be worn indoors and outside regardless of vaccine status (link).
Historically, there has been a solid argument that leftism is a mental disorder; at least the vast majority of those who espouse leftist worldviews do -indeed- appear to have some cognitive impairment the vast majority of non-leftist people do not relate to. Slowly, as the years have progressed, it is now entirely possible to look at a person and predict their political persuasion.

This is not normal. You cannot convince me these are stable minded people. A person of reasonable mental disposition, particularly a person in a position of significant leadership, does not engage in behavior like this.

I was born in Portland an except for the ages of 5 to 22 I lived all my life there. We had great success and many friends were acquired along the way. As of this Wednesday I will no longer own a single thing in Oregon – I left the home I loved and my own history.
One of my Portland friends was at church yesterday, the church where she got married, and on the steps was a man with a needle and a bag of something that looked like urine and her youngish children and everyone else couldn’t help but see it. While in her pew she noticed someone behind her paying an unusual amount of attention to her purse so she grabbed it and held on. She is planning on going to visit TX because she knows other Oregon people – people who like her have families who are VERY established in Portland – who have moved from there because they can’t stand it anymore.
People in the neighborhood where the mayor of Portland live are fed up but they can’t seems to figure out the obvious solution. And there are no good candidates for office who can get any traction. These people can’t fight their way out of a paper bag even when they know the bag is on fire.
The basics of education have been removed, so what purpose does the education system in Oregon serve at this point?
Why should taxpayers pay another dime to fund this?
