Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Let’s utter a special prayer for dogsmaw today.
There was a post left late on yesterday’s open thread by dogsmaw.
Done.

Thinking of “today”, thinking of “now”:
2 Cor. 6:2 (cf. Isaiah 49:8)
“For He says: “In the acceptable time I listened to you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; behold, now is the day of salvation.
Isaiah 55:6-7
“Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the LORD, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.”
Hebrews 3:15a (cf. Psalms 95:7-8)
“As it has been said: “If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts…”
Revelation 22:17 (cf. Isaiah 55:1)
“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” Let the one who hears say, “Come!” And let the one who is thirsty come, and the one who desires the water of life drink freely.”
—
Thinking of why:
Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Romans 5:8
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
John 5:24
“Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life.”
—
Thinking of how:
Luke 18:13
“And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his chest, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’”
James 4:8a
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”
John 6:28-29
“Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.””
Mark 9:24b
“‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.'”
Acts 16:30-31
“Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.””
—
Micah 6:8 — “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?”
John 13:34-35 — “A new commandment I give to you, that you should love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love among one another.”
Mark 12:29-31 (cf. Deut. 6:4-5, Lev. 19:18) — “Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear this O Israel: The Lord our God is One Lord, and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is not another commandment greater than these.”
True story. Once upon a time a friend had broken up with a girl he truly loved. He’d accepted a post at a distant university—which proved to be the start of a successful academic career. Still, he loved that girl and regretted breaking up with her. One night after some copious amounts of drinking had taken place he told me a story. The year before he’d flown back to Austin. It’d been awhile, and the girl was living with a local attorney. My friend, heart-broken, told of standing on the street opposite their 2nd floor apartment on Christmas eve hoping for a fleeting glimpse . . . He was there for a couple of hours, he said. I don’t recall if he ever say her image in the apartment’s windows. Such is true love.
I hope your friend ended up finding a woman who deserved his ambition and loyalty.
Well, this is just one of those heart-broken interludes that seem to happen when you are 25 or so. The back story is that she had been married to one of my closest friends—one of the vicissitudes of grad school is marital deconstruction—I really don’t know who did what but she ended up with someone else. But to answer your question, my friend was smart enough and—ultimately—mature enough to find someone worthy of forming a permant relationship with. He also wen’t on to a successful academic career, teaching at a succession of major universities. Still, that heart-broken moment— frozen in time—of him yearning for a fleeting image of a lost love has always made for a great story. The story and the image of him standing outside in the street is now frozen in time. Ain’t sayin’ the names. 🙂
i been listening to this song today… its in the same vein,
i think.
🙂
🙂
Do you ever really stop loving the early loves in your youth?
Thanks so much for these ‘old’ songs! Stardust was my mom and dad’s song. For years after my mom died whenever my dad and I would be somewhere with a person playing the piano Dad would request Stardust. I will forever think of them when I hear it.
🙂 Josh and a buddy have a great rendition of “Moonlight In Vermont” on Youtube.
About fifty years ago, I had broken up with an girl that had stolen my heart. Actually she was the one that broke up with me. I was devastated. I started dating someone that had also just broken up and we were hitting it off and growing fond of each other as they used to say. The old boyfriend of my new girlfriend confronted me in a parking lot and wanted to fight me for stealing the one he loved. I saw in his eyes the exact pain that I had experienced. I could not stand what it was doing to him. I broke up with the girl giving some lame excuse and suggested she give him a second chance. She did and they are still married almost 50 years later. If was soon after that that I met the woman that I married and stay married to to this day. 100 years of marriage spread between two couples that could have been missed had I not recognized my pain reflected in that young man’s eyes. I never told anyone this until now, but I have thought of it often.
Oh, and thanks for the Allison videos.
I think Allison definitely qualifies as an “old soul”. So does Josh.
Waaaaay to personal man!
Just kidding. Great post.
That you recognized what you saw says a lot about you. Not many have that ability to not just look but to see. How interesting it is to look back on the roads we’ve travelled, to see the twists and turns, the dips and the hills. All headed to a resting place always known by God.
While not the same, but when my son was in the Navy he decided to try computer dating. He asked me after a few unsuccessful matches where all the nice girls were. He was despairing of ever finding one, and was on the cusp of giving up. He decided to try one last time.
And a young woman in his area who had had enough of the same was giving up on computer dating, when her friend said to give it one more chance…just one more.
Twelve years later, she and my son and their two gorgeous children are travelling down their road together, having met when their two God directed paths intersected. All for both having tried “one more time.”
Sounds like your wife got herself a keeper.
From His 31ST Studio Album
John Cleese cancelled himself before anyone else could.
We are entering a world run by spoiled, unskilled, trans, queer, gay, nose-ringed, tatted, hair dyed perpetual children with zero self-awareness, zero understanding or curiosity for how things work, zero work ethic, who think the world owes them everything…
And who consider themselves the all-wise all-knowing arbiters of what you are allowed to say, think, feel, and do…
What could go wrong?
Griever, while it’s all implicated in what you aptly say above, I would definitely add these full-of-themselves, off-putting know-it-alls also have NO MANNERS.
When my first two grands, twin boys, reached the age of 2, I started on manners. The phrase I used was “Manners Maketh Man”.
They loved the alliteration and were repeating it all the time. Gradually I added little lessons in manners…holding doors open, thanking those who did the same for them,
” yes sir, no m’am”, and the rest.
Today at 16, both are young men I am so proud of, all started with that quaint little phrase. Having manners makes life’s road a lot smoother. If only others knew…
Much to be proud of Betsy. Grandmas play a big role in the family. Your grands are blessed to have you and I know that you know how blessed you are to have them. Grandchildren are the gift I never knew I wanted. The gift that keeps giving.
What a kind thing to say and I thank you. Without getting into a long story, I know God placed me where I am, amongst these particular grands and their little sister. This is very clear to me. And I’m so grateful.
But also, those who are so keen to get rid of us at the “cut off” age because we have lived “long enough” really are about the most unthinking people on this earth. Our generation still values civility, manners, all the attributes that once were cherished but are no more. If we weren’t here to pass them on, I do think they’d be lost forever. It is our duty to teach those coming after how important they are.
Great story
DILL WITH IT
NATIONAL PICKLE DAY – NOVEMBER 14
We consume a phenomenal 5,200,000 pounds of pickles each year in the United States.
Mmmmmmm, pickles!
Love my Nalleys Koshers!
Mom and Grandma Gladys used to can
dills with some red chili peppers in them. Grandma used to put
grape leaves in them as well.
I sure miss those pickles. But not as much as I miss Grandma and Mom.
I make semi-home made by tossing in jalapenos and extra garlic, even in sweet pickles at times.
Hard to have too many jalapeños too much garlic. Niiiiiiiice
Nalley valley not too far from the house and I actually used to deliver to them. I believe most of the cucumbers are imported from India now.
My Grandmother on my Dads side did a lot of canning. Everything she canned was excellent. We enjoyed her pickles and mincemeat and various other things she had canned for several years after she passed. She taught me a lot. How to quilt, how to make various homemade candies and treats. How to make fruit pies from scratch. But for what ever reason I was never around when she canned and so never learned how to do it.
Mason jar company has a bunch of good resources.
Biggest issue is making sure you follow the all the steps.
Botulism is bad!
True. Blowing up a pressure cooker might cause problems too. ?
Refrigerator pickles.
50/50, apple cider vinegar/water, personal ratio tweak if desired.
Prefer chopped mixed vegetables, raw. Been adding arugula fresh from friend’s garden, magic. Garlic clove- whole, salt/pepper, fennel, celery seed, whatever !!
Chopped fresh ripe mango…….OMG the delight, refrigerator
Pineapple, same.
Black Bean Salad: black beans, tomato, onion, cilantro, garlic clove whole.
You get the idea.
Now you’re an expert.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I don’t know if you are a praying person—many people aren’t. But, for me for literally as long as I can remember, prayer has always been a direct connection to Our Lord. I wish I could explain the mystery of this, but I can’t. I can say it’s real. He’s there when I talk to him. This is so intensely personal, I’ve never sought affirmation about from others—for the entirety of my life, beginning when I was a little kid, He’s just been there. I regret that I’m a sinner, it’s something I apologize about all the time, and still—he forgives. All you have to do is reach out to our Lord and He’ll be there for you. It’s as simple as that. I promise.
Well said.

NATIONAL SPICY GUACAMOLE DAY – NOVEMBER 14
?w=665&ssl=1
And then you do this! LOL.
My sister in law and her girls always demand I make my guac when they
come to visit
4 to 5 large Hass
Half of a large tomato diced finely
1/4 cup sweet onion chopped fine
1/4 cup cilantro leaves chopped fine
1/4 Table spoon cumin
1/2 table spoon Chili powder
1 to 2 crushed garlic cloves
2 limes.
I combine everything but the limes in a mixing bowl and use a
pastry tool to blend everything together.
Juice the limes and mix in afterwards.
Best if you let it sit in the fridge overnight,
but that rarely happens here. 😀
You can play with the spices a little. But watch the cumin,
it can overpower the dish.
Much thanks for sharing!
🙂
I can hardly wait to make it. Hopefully this coming week.
Thanks, Bad Dog! Never thought about using cumin in the guacamole. I assume it’s ground, not a whole seed.
I use cumin and savory when I make hamburgers.
THE DAY IS SURELY DRAWING NEAR
Since we are getting to the “End Times” part of the Church calendar, this seems like a good hymn to share.
This hymn was written by Bartholomew Ringwaldt (1532-99), a Lutheran pastor in Prussia. According to hymnary.org, he wrote several hymns “to comfort himself and others in the sufferings they endured from famine, pestilence, fire, and floods.”
Along with the end-times theme, the hymn emphasizes the distinction between the terror of God’s Law and the graciousness of His Gospel. The contrast of these two things — and the reality of both of them — pervaded Martin Luther’s theology and preaching.
The name of the tune is “Es ist gewisslich.” This music is also known as “Luther’s hymn.” However, I cannot find any verification of who actually composed it. It was used as the basis of works by JS Bach and Johann Krebs, examples of which are in the second and third videos below.
Church organist Mark Peters is featured in the first video, with words displayed. Beautiful as the Bach and Krebs compositions and performances are, I think I prefer listening to Mr. Peters. He is playing music for every-day worship by ordinary Christians, as the hymn-writer intended.

The day is surely drawing near when Jesus, God’s anointed,
In all His power shall appear as judge whom God appointed.
Then fright shall banish idle mirth, and flames on flames shall ravage earth,
As scripture long has warned us.
The final trumpet then shall sound and all the earth be shaken,
And all who rest beneath the ground shall from their sleep awaken.
But all who live will in that hour, by God’s almighty boundless power,
Be changed at His commanding.
The books are opened then to all, a record truly telling
What each has done, both great and small, when he on earth was dwelling,
And every heart be clearly seen, and all be known as they have been
In thoughts and words and actions.
Then woe to those who scorned the Lord and sought but carnal pleasures,
Who here despised His precious Word and loved their earthly treasures!
With shame and trembling they will stand and at the Judge’s stern command
To Satan be delivered.
My Savior paid the debt I owe and for my sin was smitten;
Within the Book of Life I know my name has now been written.
I will not doubt, for I am free, and Satan cannot threaten me;
There is no condemnation!
May Christ our intercessor be and through His blood and merit
Read from His book that we are free with all who life inherit.
Then we shall see Him face to face, with all His saints in that blest place
Which He has purchased for us.
O Jesus Christ do not delay, but hasten our salvation;
We often tremble on our way in fear and tribulation.
O hear and grant our fervent plea: Come mighty Judge and set us free
From death and every evil.

LUCY AND HER BABIES Part 6
… I didn’t know it at the time, but Lucy and her babies and her brother were little bits of God’s grace given to brighten our lives. …
I always choke up when I see the Rainbow Bridge mentioned. So I asked our pastor once if we may hope to see our pets in heaven. I was startled at how quickly he answered, “no.”
Turns out we were talking about two different things. When Pastor talks about Christian hope, he means hope in things promised by the bible. Things that are certain. As in “hope of our resurrection.”
Pastor explained that of course we may hope, in the sense of “wish,” for whatever we want, if it is not unchristian, and we should pray for it. So I hope and pray we will see Lucy, and her babies, and Pokey and the rest of our pets at the Rainbow Bridge, or something like it, some day… and that you will see your beloved pets there too.
Sorry to hear he thinks that way.
All God’s creatures, great and small.
Our task is to be good keepers of all His
creations. While we, as people, haven’t always
done a really good job at it, I think we’re getting better.
And I am not talking PETA here. *spit*
All animals have some spark of divinity in them.
While I am not Catholic, Saint Francis of Assisi is the Patron Saint
of all animals. Grandma Gladys had a statue of him in her back yard near the
bird bath. She loved her birds (excepting starlings, which were open season at her house)
I believe that we will see our beloved friends on the other side of that
Rainbow Bridge. Just like we will see all our loved ones as well.
God keeps His Promises. And we must do our best to do the same.
It has been an argument for a long time about if animals have souls and go to heaven. I don’t see how anyone that has had a beloved pet can think they don’t have souls.
Isaiah 11-6
New King James Version
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them.
I have no doubt that all animals have souls.
I was raised as an atheist. In my 30s I had a terrible medical crisis and very nearly died. After the surgery that saved my life I awoke in the recovery room. Front and center in my mind was the knowledge that God does exist and He wanted me to move to Porterville and help his animals.
At the time I was living in the Los Angeles area with my husband. The money was great but both of us were from small towns and we wanted to live where there was more open space. My husband picked up a Los Angeles Times to look for other employment and there it was, a job for exactly what he did in Porterville, a small town about 150 miles north east of LA.
He got the job and we moved here to a house out of town with a couple of acres. The husband, who was also an atheist, is no longer my husband but since then I have taken in literally hundreds of animals that have been abandoned or discarded.
Most of the critters just arrive on my doorstep. It is as though God has a huge neon sign that only animals in need can see, pointing them to my house. I currently feed about 40 various animals.
Some years ago the pastor at the church I attended chastised me, telling me that animals have no souls and that what I was doing was all in vain. I prayed about it and God led me to Genesis 9:19-16. When Noah and the animals left the arc God made a new everlasting covenant with them, including every animal. How could God, who has no vanity, make an everlasting covenant with critters that are not everlasting? He couldn’t.
I showed those passages to my pastor and he was stunned. He told me he had read those passages hundreds of times but had never realized all flesh was included in the new everlasting covenant.
God is truly great and merciful. Until the day I die I will do my best to do what He asked me to do – help his animals.
May God continue to bless you and your furry, finny, and feathery friends, Patty. Thank you for the comment.
Friar Jack Wintz writes a lovely book, scriptural inspired, revealing that we will see our pets again, over the rainbow bridge.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6439328-will-i-see-my-dog-in-heaven
I read this twice and passed it on to my friends losing their dogs…(I lost a 14 yr. old Golden Retriever to cancer, she was family, in graduation, communion, Christmas, birthday pix for many years, they ARE family).
Faith trumps ‘hope’ and ‘wish’.
I highly recommend the book to those in distress be it from doubting or from loss of pet.
Randy Alcon wrote “Heaven”.
It’s a very detailed read of over 500 pages. He devotes two chapters to your questions regarding pets.
I’m a “layman” who likes reading pithy stuff with solid Scriptural underpinning. I’m busy though, so reading that book was tedious for me.
Hint: You’ll like his take on pets, so GET THE BOOK!
???
I am paraphrasing, but Will Rogers said that if his pets did not go to heaven, he wanted to go wherever they were. But I still can’t believe that those who gave us so much on this earth, who loved us as we loved them, wouldn’t be welcomed into God’s loving Kingdom. After all, He sent them to us. I can’t imagine heaven without them.
However God chooses to handle the rest of His creation, He is trustworthy to do so.
He is, TM, as my faith relies on.
He is a loving God and does things better for us than we can hope or pray for.
Yes, He certainly does.
I thank you all for your kind comments. I know they were intended to reassure me. I am certainly not going to try to talk you out of your beliefs. So I’ll just talk about me personally.
I don’t feel deprived by not believing with certainty that I’ll see my pets in heaven. At the same time, I don’t believe we won’t see them. For me, it is an open question. It’s a little like a birthday present. Some day I will find out.
So I have to say my “startle” with what the pastor said lasted about two seconds — until he started explaining.
I get a lot of comfort in believing the things God promised in the bible. Likewise it actually helps me that I don’t give much credence to what I, or others, feel in our hearts — at least as far as considering it a revelation from God.
So I’m grateful to my faithful pastor for reminding me “sola scriptura.” And I’m grateful to him for letting me know that pets in heaven is an open question, one on which scripture is silent. And one whose answer we’ll know with certainty in God’s own time.
Romans 8 addresses this question more than anywhere else in Scripture. The creation that has been subjected to decay is groaning with us in the hope of freedom. Paul doesn’t answer all our questions, but he tells us how and where to find comfort. When we aren’t sure what to pray for, the Spirit intercedes for us in accordance with God’s will, and nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ Jesus. With all due respect to Will Rogers, (that isn’t a lot), if I had to choose, and I probably don’t, I’ll stick with the One who can also graciously give me all things.
How wonderful that you have a solid faith. I do as well. I cannot imagine my life if I didn’t have God and his beloved Son, Jesus Christ, our only Mediator and Advocate, in it.
I will say of Mr Rogers that his comment clearly shows a love for animals and all they gave him. No matter what else you may not care for about him, there is that…unlike the reprehensible Fauci, who uses them in ways I cannot think of without weeping.
I do feel one cannot completely dismiss any man who has a love for God’s creations. My view only. God bless.
I love the picture at the top of this web page – the picture of the three soldiers guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Even though it’s raining, and the wind is blowing, those Honor Guard soldiers remain at their post, standing exactly as they should, to show their respect.
I’m very grateful to all of our soldiers, including those three.
Day or night. Good or bad weather.
And their dedication and devotion are sorely under appreciated by many.
We who have served or are serving are grateful to know they are there. Standing
in service to all who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
I wouldn’t trade that for all the riches in the world.
I’ve watched many videos of those who have served being joyously reunited with the trained dogs that have served with them,.
Continuously guarded since 1937 even when Hurricane Isabel, the strongest hurricane of the 2003 season passed by very close.
Two-thirds of vaccinated Americans will ban unvaccinated relatives from the holidays, study finds | Daily Mail Online
My sense is that percentage is high, possibly way high. However I have no doubt there are huge numbers of people ignorant of the FACT that being vaccinated does not in any way stop a person from being a carrier. They are ignorant of that FACT because the government and it’s mouth pieces like Fauci don’t tell them that FACT because they want to encourage as many people as possible to take the shots.
I am equally confident that most those same people that are so scared that they cut off personal contact with friends and family have not even considered getting rid of their family pets even though they can be unvaccinated carriers.
I will repeat another FACT: Mankind has never been able to contain any viral contagion transmitted by aerosol that has a non-human animal reservoir, let alone eradicate one.
Wondering…Have heard from multiple sources that the Red Cross will NOT accept blood donations from vaxed people….
WHERE is the blood that is needed for transfusions etc going to come from? I have not been vaxed, have had Covid, my ‘blood’ is apparently in a dwindling supply …only to be made worse if this forced lunacy goes any further. HIPPA and ‘my body my choice’ certainly have faded from the lexicon.
Only the choice to not be injected with experimental drugs is being challenged. But if enough people say no, this could change. After so many for profit company’s have been forced to shut down or slow down considerably they need a workforce to make a profit. I believe either the mandates will be reversed or exemptions will be the order of the day.
The architects of all this haven’t gotten to that part.
Someone suggested that if you think you will need it for any surgery you’ll go through, check to see if you can self donate. One would have to allow enough time beforehand to do it safely.
And then pray like anything that they don’t mistake and give you someone else’s. I’m not at all trusting anymore of hospitals or doctors.
Imagine being so terrified that one would dish out not a lovely meal and warmth and companionship, but cruelty by telling family members they are not welcome in this season of family and friends. It is beyond my comprehension. My heart grieves for those who have been so treated.
The masters of division are back doing what they do best, divide and conquer, in this case (v vs uv). This from 2013 advising college students home for the holidays to better inform family to sign up for healthcare.
Aside, the turkey picture shows a .44 cents savings on your Thanksgiving dinner in 2013 compared to 2009. Yeah, yeah,.. like the 16 cent savings on your July 4th cookout. Seems a fixation on holidays and pennies. Wonder if they will be so bold to print the Thanksgiving dinner savings this year! https://www.foxnews.com/politics/team-obama-thanksgiving-dinner-the-perfect-time-to-promote-obamacare
Family, the bedrock of all that is civil, God fearing, supportive, essential to rearing upright citizens, is an irritating and annoying speck in the eyes of those who wish to divide and conquer.
They understand how life affirming such bonds are…and they hate it with a white hot rage. Which is why they are positively gleeful about anything that undermines it.
And while they rejoice at the cleaving of the family, my heart breaks in two for those families who have been used for those purposes. And for the families who have issued these edicts? I predict that their Thanksgiving Day gatherings will have a distinctly unThanksgiving atmosphere as a guest of their foolishness.
My reply, if that happened to me, would be “I wouldnt want to be around you, the super spreader toxxinated, anyway”.
We all need to turn it around on them, and alinsky-ize them all.
. . . but deliver us from the Evil One.

DISCOVERING DIVINE DESIGNS
“I being in the way, the Lord led me…” Genesis xxiv. 27
We have to be so one with God that we do not continually need to ask for guidance. Sanctification means that we are made the children of God, and the natural life of a child is obedience – until he wishes to be disobedient, then instantly there is the intuitive jar. In the spiritual domain the intuitive jar is the monition of the Spirit of God. When He gives the check, we have to stop at once and be renewed in the spirit of our mind in order to make out what God’s will is. If we are born again of the Spirit of God, it is the abortion of piety to ask God to guide us here and there. “The Lord led me,” and on looking back we see the presence of an amazing design, which, if we are born of God, we will credit to God.
We can all see God in exceptional things, but it requires the culture of spiritual discipline to see God in every detail. Never allow that the haphazard is anything less than God’s appointed order, and be ready to discover the Divine designs anywhere.
Beware of making a fetish of consistency to your convictions instead of being devoted to God. I shall never do that – in all probability you will have to, if you are a saint. There never was a more inconsistent Being on this earth than Our Lord, but He was never inconsistent to His Father. The one consistency of the saint is not to a principle, but to the Divine life. It is the Divine life which continually makes more and more discoveries about the Divine mind. It is easier to be a fanatic than a faithful soul, because there is something amazingly humbling, particularly to our religious conceit, in being loyal to God.

Not a big Nike fan, but his story is an inspiration
There is a little white stuff on my deck here in Central Indiana. Not sticking on the ground. Too warm I guess.
I will be heading up to Newaygo, MI later today and I reckon I will be dealing with more of that white stuff up there this week as that Alberta Clipper blows through. Since I will be working close to the coast of Lake Michigan the snow amounts could get higher due to lake effect.
Lake effect is always the worst during the first half of the winter when the lake water is warmer. Later, as the water cools there is less contrast and thus less lake effect. And when the water gets frozen lake effect pretty much ends.
Addendum: We got more white stuff here at my place about 35 miles NNE of Indy. Not sticking on the roads but is on the grass.
Godspeed throughout your travels rah..

Glad you’re back!
Had never heard of Creed Fisher until yesterday. We had My daughter, SIL, and grands over for a brisket that I smoked Friday night. As we were talking about this and that my son-in-law mentioned that Creed Fisher was from New Braunfels (they live there) and played one oh his songs on his phone. Need less to say I liked him a lot.

Dear Lord
I pray to you today, that you might send your Angel’s and surround the young man Kyle Rittenhouse with your love and protection.
I pray Lord that you intervene and blind with your pure light, the demons and all the evil that is trying to destroy a young man, that only tried to help people that treacherous night. Demons took over and unleashed evil in the streets that night just to try and kill this young man.
I know Lord that you are my saviour, and all things are possible thru you Lord.
I pray Lord that you protect the young man, because every demon is attempting to destroy a young man for trying to help people. There was only evil surrounding that young man that night as he fought for his life. In my heart Lord I believe an Angel of yours was guiding that young man that night and made sure he did not miss. If he had missed one time, he would not be alive today.
I pray Lord that you open his heart to here your voice so he may be saved by your love father.
I ask these things in your name Jesus Christ.
Amen
Amen!!!!!
(Thank you.)
