The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released the third quarter review of average weekly wages [Main Data Here]. The results of the year-over-year comparison should alarm everyone. This is a very serious data point that likely means we are in a recession, it just has not been quantified yet.
By now, everyone knows the term “stagflation”, which means a stagnant economy and large inflation (price increases), the easiest comparison is Jimmy Carter economic program in the 1970’s. However, let me assure you what this latest BLS release foretells is not that. This is far more serious than stagflation. I am not an alarmist, but I am encouraging everyone to take this economic data seriously.
In this graphic I have modified the spread sheet to focus attention on the part that really matters. [Original Data Table 2 Here] What you are seeing here is a comparison of weekly wages for the third quarter (July, Aug, Sept) of this year, compared to the weekly average wages in 2020:
Weekly wages went up a sum total of seven bucks [$7/1,000 = 0.7%] year over year. THAT is ridiculously low. However, worse yet look at all the categories of workers who saw an actual decline in wages. This is not a decline in wage value, this is an actual decline in net wages earned. WAGES HAVE DROPPED !
This is not only saying wages are failing to keep up with inflation, that part is beyond obvious, the data shows actual declines in wages for full time workers. This is far more concerning, check that…. this is four alarm fire – running around the neighborhood naked and panicked level concerning… when you take actual declines in wages and factor in the September inflation numbers [Main Data Here].
Avg. weekly wages can drop if massive numbers of people enter the workforce in specific low paying jobs. However, this is not that, because employment growth has been weak and minimal at best; missing all expectations to the downside. The data on wages declining year-over-year is a genuine decrease in average wages earned.
♦ Now Factor Inflation – The inflation rate is stunning [Table 7 data Here]. Examples: Beef costs 20% more (year over year). Bacon costs 20% more. Eggs cost 12% more. Peanut butter costs 10% more. Home heating oil costs 42% more. Unleaded gasoline costs 43% more. Natural gas costs 20% more. Used cars are 24% more. The list goes on (SEE HERE).
I don’t have to tell you this, you can see it in your receipt at the grocery store and in the gas pumps at your local convenient store. But the point is that massive inflation is eating our paychecks and the inflation is getting worse, not better. Prices continue to skyrocket and the dollar continues to be weakened.
When you overlay the inflation, massive price increases in critical goods that middle-class Americans purchase every day; and when you overlay the massive energy cost increases and the cost of home heating oil this winter; and THEN you consider the reality that wages are actually lower than a year ago, well, it is a perfect storm.
CTH previously stated that from a macro perspective home values peaked in the last two weeks of May and first two weeks of June. Other than institutional investors buying real estate because they need to hold a tangible asset; and some regions where home values are driven by COVID migration patterns; we do not see blue collar working class families purchasing homes, replacement vehicles or expensive durable goods.
Disposable income has been crushed in the past six months. Now we are seeing data to quantify just how bad the issue is. With wages declining and prices increasing, the likelihood the 3rd quarter GDP (July, Aug, Sept) will show a contraction is very high. [Note Q3 GDP release is the first Friday in November]
This is beyond stagflation, because the economy is not only stagnant with inflation high, but also because actual weekly wages have dropped. Overall Main Street consumer purchasing is now focused on staple goods like housing, food, fuel and energy costs.
Some have speculated that a “Great Reset” includes the collapse of the economy to such an extent that government will be the only source of financial stability. I’m not sure if it will get to that level, but this latest BLS data release showing a contraction in wages for the blue collar bread winners is very alarming.
What is it like in your neighborhood? What types of prices for gasoline and foodstuffs are you encountering?
.
I am really fearful for all in the colder parts of our country this winter. This “all of a sudden” energy crisis worldwide just doesn’t smell right. I suspect that it is just another rotten plank in the house the NWO is building.
And with the Weimar inflation we’re all experiencing amongst job losses, many forced, because that’s the one word showing up in all these circumstances…FORCE..
there will be more the of these “choices” to come for many. Jab or job, food or warmth etc.
The financial repression engineered by the Fed hit us as seniors on fixed income in 2008 and has proceeded apace until we’ve reached the point with negative rates and now inflation where we are losing ground at an accelerated clip. And now, as predicted, the feckless Fed has done the same to those still working. In an effort to protect Wall Street by keeping rates low and also to prevent catastrophe with the eye watering debt of this country, they’ve condemned us all.
Because we in this house have had to make “strategic economic planning” our motto since we recognized where all this was headed, we’ve managed. We’ll see what the winter brings to see how much more strategic we’ll need to get.
And we can only pray that all those enthusiastic Dem and Independent Biden voters finally take those red pills that we’ve been offering. There are going to be quite a few hard lessons and realities to be faced. Maybe they’ll finally get it.
When they watch the invader UACs eating well, warm, and well clothed this winter while their AMERICAN kids are freezing and hungry, it might sink in.
Yes, you’d think. But that will be well hidden from us. The ones who are all in on the rest of the world resettling here are the one who have no concerns about such trivial things like food, shelter, warmth.
Recreation of Babylon here. Guess who was the main “god” of Babylon.
They have so many now. They don’t limit themselves to just one.
Bel/Baal/Lucifer
Gaia, Mother Nature has pride of place under Bergoglio’s Vatican.
If I’m not mistaken, Jeremiah conveyed God’s command to the displaced Jews to settle in, build homes, raise children, keep the faith and sit tight until their rescue 70 years later.
“And we can only pray that all those enthusiastic Dem and Independent Biden voters finally take those red pills that we’ve been offering.”
In the last week I learned of two enthusiastic Biden voters (friends through all the insanity) who now cannot stand Joe or what he is doing.
Hubby and I live in the frozen tundra of northern Minnesota. Most people around here have wood burning stoves and lots of wood to burn, so we will be OK with staying warm when we can’t afford heating oil. We also always have a refrigerator and freezer outside our door, November through March.
Hot summers would be a bugger with no power, but even then we can sleep in our basement that is cool all year long.
I spend a lot of time lately doing strategic planning too, Betsy. I pray God blesses you, your family and all the plans you have, and pours out His abundance on you in all ways.
Thank you so much. Such a lovely and generous prayer. And I return the hope that He is watchful over you and all whom you love. Your reply has warmed my heart?
I wonder if the climate crisis crybabies are going to allow wood burning, since it both defeats the whole created heating crisis narrative AND it is “bad for the air quality”. When I lived in the mountains of California, we would get feet of snow in winter frequently, but the year before e left, they passed a regulation that forbade wood fires, regardless of how far below zero it might get… Experience says they may come knocking at the door when our chimneys are smoking here in Colorado this winter.
Unfortunately, the Liar in Chief and Lying Psaki will blame all of this on the unvaccinated who “selfishly refuse to work”. Ditto for people who freeze this winter: “Tough break. It was the selfish first responders who wouldn’t get vaccinated”
Now we are being blamed for General Powell’s death by ex Surgeon General Adams. Because of course we are. They are going to run with this canard until it has no legs. In other words, what he has said is that the vaxes don’t work. These dimwits have no sense of irony.
It has no legs now, but that doesn’t stop them running with it. The “up is sown, down is up” propaganda will continue until they are forced out of office.
Of course they will. They haven’t yet realized that repetition gets old and boring. And transparent.
I remember when Powell was being touted as a Prez candidate and the Soviet-democrat lying media saying what a great candidate he would be…………….and he did not have a campaign platform!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes…and then the worm turned and his doppelganger showed up. Another bullet dodge I think.
And every single person will personally know a person who refused the jab who is the opposite of selfish.
Ayn Rand said: “Guilt is a rope that wears thin.”
That ain’t gonna work….because of the push for boosters. If the jab worked at all, why do the jab need boosters?
Has pedo Joe ever sniffed the Zuckerberg clone Psaki’s hair?
The CRIMINAL MARXIST democraps are going to ENERGY STARVE this country…wait until you see the ENERGY MANDATES they roll out as you endure BLACK OUTS and BROWN OUTS across the country. It’s all part of the plan for the government to CONTROL every aspect of life.
The legacy of Old Man Biden, or whoever his handlers are. Even as they think they are hidden behind the curtain, we can still see them. Not only here but across the Northern Hemisphere. It’s going to be very bad.
Read about the “Holomodor”. These Democrats are the descendants of the Bolshevik/Communists who ran the insane asylum mass murdering of Christians Soviet Union
I have read about it. And there are no adjectives adequate enough to describe the horror of it. None. And this is what comes to my mind as I watch these evil acolytes of globalism pushing hard and harder. I hope we never see the day if they are using Holomodor as a template.
They are following it to a T. Right down to issuing passports for leaving your home or town. They forced the indigenous people to remain while food supplies to those zones were shut off. Starvation ensued, destroying the native people.
Go figure…whose household?
Not mine. This is such gaslighting it nauseates.
All the dc grifters averaged in?
This is all such b.s.
The people I know who lost jobs due to being unvaccinated, have lost a lot more than just a job.
Drug use and suicide will continue to skyrocket.
The point of not taking the jab is to preserve one’s health. Surely suicide & drug abuse are not the results of job loss for no jab – if so then just take the spike protein & die that way instead!
Despair cannot be held at bay by looking at your hungry, ragged kids who depend on you to care for them and you just got fired for not taking a shot. I can understand why they drift into despair, not condone it, but understand how working men get there.
Watching a few in real life.
over several months. No support, no unemployment, fired for no reason except refusing poison, and the type of response “ should’ve just taken the poison”…ya..nice Christian response. Young people are struggling with what they were taught, and what is reality.
Work hard, you will be rewarded. Lol. Just screwed is the truth. Now, they don’t know what their future holds or why even bother. My heart breaks for the young families. (Especially my grand babies)
No doubt, Lolli. I may be one of those working men, depending on the outcome of litigation. Not under the gun yet, but I hear a whistling noise.
I sincerely hope not. It is more disturbing than one can imagine until it happens to you.
Have a plan B ready. I tried telling people months ago to have a back up plan. I guess most don’t think it will happen to them. I imagine you are much more prepared than others.
I’ve been let go twice because the boss said “go.” Not for performance or “misconduct” but just “get out, you aren’t needed.” It’s dehumanizing. I imagine getting the boot for not poisoning your body is pretty much the same. You lose your livelihood for no good reason, for nothing you did wrong. At least I could get UI until I found something else. This time, nope.
If I do get the boot, we’ll be ok. I don’t do the drugs and drink thing, not with my son watching like a hawk. I understand that some who lose their jobs are in such despair and in such a very dark place that they turn to substances to ease their heart, but my hope is solely in Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.
family left mn because of job insecurity and now doing better in red state
There are jobs in SC. And no jab. Trump got rid of RINO-Globalist Gov Niki Haley for us.
Thank you for the tip. I’m in Florida. So far, so good, as long as we can keep the idiocy at bay. If we fail…..
We just had a young husband and father in our church take his own life… The company that he worked for didn’t do well in the lockdowns and he was laid off last summer. He struggled with feeling like he wasn’t a good provider and started drinking and it all spiraled down from there.
Our pastors were working to get him help…the church was going to cover the cost of rehab and he had a new job lined up when he came out. But Satan is a liar and he got him to panic and end his life the day before he was checking in.
A horrible tragedy and yet another needless death to be laid at the feet of Fauxi et al.
God Almighty…words offer no comfort here. A tragedy that is being seen across this country. Blessings be on his family.
Horrible. May God have mercy on his soul.
And you know exactly what I am talking about.
If anyone in your life is in this situation, please help them physically. Praying for them is most important, but helping meet their needs is putting your prayers in action. Do not stop with trite words of encouragement.
Helping them may drive their self-esteem even lower. Sometimes it is good to ask them to help you with something they are good at — even just for their strength to move heavy objects. Or if they have a sport or hobby, to ask them to teach your kids or yourself. If their family suddenly has to do without luxuries they had enjoyed before, going rough camping gets everyone down to basics in a fun way — and a man’s strength is much appreciated there. Give them a camping trip. Crisis is opportunity. Be creative.
I absolutely believe that God will have full mercy on his soul, as God Alone knows the heart… judging is easy – and those who are proficient in it have perhaps never experienced the deaths of despair that this young man did.
He loved the Lord but he believed the lies that swirled inside of his head and told him he was a failure. I am thankful that he knows the Truth now but I am angry and heartbroken at such an unnecessary loss.
Thank you to all of you who have extended grace and offered prayers for his family!
I agree. I did not mean that the way it sounded. That came across horrible. I apologize. I should have separated those 2 sentences
I meant you have seen the situation I was referring to, when I said “you know what I am talking about. “. Did not mean that as reference to his soul. Just Lord have mercy on his soul. (And his family). Very sad situation that should have never existed. Heartbreaking.
Will pray for his family.
God bless his precious family. So heartbreaking to hear this.
They need to turn to the Lord our God. He will lift them from despair.
They need the equivalent of a 12 step program. The first 3 steps in simple language: 1. I am powerless; I can’t do this alone, 2. God can, 3. I think I’ll let Him.
And don’t say prayer and turning over to God is passive. Of course, God will work through people to help you.
Right now, that Ronald Reagan Speech, Monring in America is mixed with the one where he spoke of Freedom being one generation away from extinction, and people remembering what freedom in America, was like….
Pat Buchanan’s Cultural War Speech at the RNC in 1992. He is prophetic and had his candidacy stolen by the Soviet-Democrat lying media and the RINO’s in the GOP. He was Trump/MAGA 25 years before.
Patrick Buchanan Culture War Speech Part 1
This is not the way. Living your faith is the point.
All government workers and the teachers. They are the only people who haven’t been affected by this China Flu yet.
Paid time off for most of them which they love more than working, so ya, don’t feel sorry for any of them. They will be affected by inflation like everyone else however. It will remain to be seen how successful they are getting wage increases from the legislatures.
The “right” people.
Since most of the increase in net worth came from corporate equity, generally meaning share price appreciation of common stocks, it is not hard to figure out that most of that increase in household net worth went to very few households. Wealth and income, of course, are two completely separate things. Wealth is what is left over after spending your income on living. It can be grown through saving and investing or it can all be consumed today like most people do. For the average person net worth is the difference between their home value and mortgage balance or home equity plus any savings they might have above any other debt. Debt securities in the graphic simply means debt as an asset. In other words, like common stock can be owned for dividends or appreciation, people hold debts with fixed payments of principal and interest from the debtors. A debt security financial asset. Changes in total national household net worth are generally meaningless for the average person working paycheck to paycheck.
My house value has gone up a lot, on paper.
But I don’t for an instant believe it’s real. Peter Navarro says a correction is coming.
We keep making this point. So has our house. But, as the Dems and other wealth grabbers like to frame it, the difference between what we have purchased our house for and its “worth” now are labeled “unrealized capital gains”; and they want to tax us on what we don’t have because we are still living here to the tune of a 3% FEDERAL tax. This was/is
in the bank busting Dems’
spending bill, buried deep of course, covered by 10 tons of gobbledygook. So each year our house appreciates in value, that ” tax” goes up…and up unto eternity. Our side better stop tweeting and get this removed from that bill.
This is thievery. Outright stealing.
Like taxes.
Households with a lot of stock holdings in their IRA/401Ks, households that own real estate (not renters), and although it is falling fast, the personal savings rate of about 10% is about 30% higher than the historical norms (6-7%). Retirees with a lot of stocks are doing well, and they tend to be people with the lowest debt and the lowest living expenses outside of health care. Retirees living on fixed incomes, pensions, bonds, social security, etc. not so much.
This is why you won’t see the Fed doing anything about inflation. The main areas where people hold wealth are things that are not real money – stocks and home prices. If the Fed raises rates to tame inflation, stocks and home prices would be the hardest hit because they are fueled by cheap money. It would also constrain Government spending, which ain’t ever gonna happen.
I realize this is regional, but when we go out on the weekends we see busy stores, traffic on the roads, and people eating out.
If Trump were President, we’d be handing out this graph to our friends and laughing at the Libs who denied we would have a V-shaped recovery. The main difference with Trump would have been the inflation fight and as a businessman, he would have been well-equipped to deal with the supply chain issues and used it as a means to bring even more jobs and manufacturing back to US soil.
Food is higher here in East TN. Not as bad as some are describing but not great compared to last year. Sometimes I luck out and get some stuff on quick sale about to go out of date and cook it all for a few days.
I work at a nursing home and we’re having serious problems getting food and supplies for the residents and I’m not sure why. Food shortages shouldn’t be tied to what’s going on in Cali.
We haven’t been hit too hard but gas is going up. I’m probably gonna get a second job to help with bills this winter. And stock more ammo.
You answered part of your own question, food is directly tied into energy prices.
Like most places that serve food to a group (schools, hospitals, nursing homes, etc) they buy pretty much heat and serve meals from wholesale places that cater to them. They don’t hire cooks, because their is no actual cooking going on. They are also dependent on what the accountants say they can buy and who from. Even most chain restaurants contractually can’t just go out and buy stuff from the local market, they have to buy it from the company store.
I don’t know about all that…where I moved from in CA was a smaller Assisted Living home with 80 residents and 40 in memory care and they had an IN HOUSE staff of cooks….the cost of preparation for 100 or more is a SAVINGS if you do it in house versus wholesale prepared food…pre-COVID they also had a communal dining hall and common areas
“…we do not see blue collar working class families purchasing homes, replacement vehicles or expensive durable goods.”
A few weeks back my husband and I started seeing a lot of older men hitchhiking. That was/is taking place around Duluth, Minnesota — the largest population area closest to where we live — and an area where public transportation is easily accessible. We both guessed they are early causalities of what lies ahead for the struggling masses, thanks to Joe’s puppet masters.
The Grapes of Wrath ???
I never see people like that that I don’t wonder how has it come to this for them? At one time they were little children, like our grands, now almost grown, were. Playful, carefree and loved (I hope). And now? That is my first thought. What has happened in their lives that they are now where they are. I do worry there will be more like them before long.
There’s an old homeless vet who panhandles on a corner where I turn off to go home after work. He’s a scruffy old codger, toothless and friendly. In the summer, if I stop near him, I’ll roll the window down and chat. I give him a few bucks when I have them. I don’t know his story, but I do wonder. He’s old enough to be my youngest uncle or oldest brother. We’ve got to care for each other, brothers and sisters, this is going to get coyote ugly.
I’ve done the same. My youngest when she sees those with no homes goes to the nearest store and purchases sandwiches, soft drinks or water, toothbrushes, soap, personal items, rounds back and gives those to them. Since then, she’s refined her operation and keeps a few ready made up bags and keeps them in the car for when the need arises. And where she is, it always does. She has always had that sort of heart, and I’m so grateful for her.
Gas in my AO, the far north Dallas subs, varies from $2.85 to $3.09. I filled up on election day 2020 and made a mental note of the $1.65 per gal. price. Have started noticing some bare spots on store shelves.
I saw the local Walmart was selling gas for 2.06 a gallon the day the fraud in chief was put into office on Jan 20th where I live in Alabama.
It’s 3.09 in my area now.
Gas was $2.39 Jan 20, 2020 here in Sarasota, FL, a few days ago it was $3.39.
Under VSGPDJT the Blue Collar workers had faster wage gains than White Collar workers
Under Biden the top 1% have more wealth than the entire middle class.
We’re not in control of any of this, and none of this escapes the attention of the Lord. But it does frustrate me that the ruling class is able to manufacture one crisis after another, which always demands “solutions” that come at the expense of the American people, yet more than half the country keeps buying it. I guarantee you if we enter a sharp recession or a market collapse, women and independents (along with the usual horde of democrat morons) will go right along with whatever prescription the democrats offer to “fix” this. And a meaningful chunk of the GOP will go right along with them.
Absolutely no guarantee on that. In my solid blue area all the lefties I know are sullen and silent. They get it – just don’t want to admit it – yet.
Hardest thing to admit one’s shibboleths are imploding. Impossible for the self righteous to admit they were wrong.
if you believe in God then you know we were “never in control”…we can manage and administer to our hearts delight yet it still depends on many factors outside our power to do anything about
Last night I stopped for gas & it was 3.29 (it was just under $3 my last fill… like a week or so ago)
My friend was waiting in the car, so I just had to yell out “F..k Joe Biden!”
I’m certain several other people heard me ?. The lady at the pump next to me kinda chuckled, then complimented my vehicle choice.
*SW FL
You’re lucky, here in Oregon gas has been $3.50 a gal for reg since late Sept. First thing to go up. Food is plentiful but prices are up up and up.
Just filled up, $3.44 in NW PA!
In Southeastern TN we have small labor shortage. I wonder if part of the “wages” going down is the lack of overtime for many blue collar workers. My DH works in manufacturing and before COVID they were required to work every Saturday for long stretches (like couple of years). In fact, some families counted on that overtime in their budget and if work wasn’t required, some asked DH if they could work OT. (Others were burned out and thankful for day off). Today, there is no OT. Hasn’t been for over a year. Sales are there, but imported parts/supplies are not to support OT. Somehow the worker has changed, no-one is asking for OT. When supplies are so low that company offers no pay, no penalty (you can stay home) or you can come in a do maintenence/clean and get paid–the majority of people stay home. Definitely their wages are down. Not sure what families are doing to pay for bills. I am thinking it’s the $300/child per month tax credits that parents are supplementing their income so they don’t have to work???
Prices are high. Gas here has gone up 100% (doubled). The cheap ground beef is $5/lb. All groceries have gone up and a lot less sales. Stores have dropped different programs from small things like fill loyalty card and get $5 off purchase to Shoe Carnival no longer doing their buy one pair get one 50% off.
Your reply is the best one I’ve read here so far
Thank you!
Thank you! I’m glad to be able to add to the conversation.
That (lack of supplies to keep going) is a very interesting angle.
It makes me wonder whether part of the reason the manufacturing CEOs (few as they are, of course) are going along with the mandate is that they get to shed a whole lot of workers from their shrinking businesses all at once under cover of politics from the regime.
Otherwise the difference would show up in their stock prices, right?
Makes me wonder what the stores will do with all the perishables that people cannot afford to buy anymore…
I can speak for the worker thing. What I have been noticing where I am is those who work all their shifts and put in the work are getting taken for granted and being treated the same as the lazy ones that always call out. To fix the issue, my employer will buy us lunch, but never fix the issue at hand that keeps driving people away. People quit, and are often not replaced, increasing workload for the others. New folks are being hired at a higher rate to get work but the seasoned workers’ pay rate is not getting increased, making the new folks earn more than the veterans. Frustrated veterans leave. I think it has put a “what’s the use of busting my @## when it doesn’t pay off”? Then workload increases for those who get their jobs done. I consider myself someone with a good work ethic, and I admit that I have gotten this same attitude. This is definitely not like me.
I understand exactly what you’re saying. My husband is a supervisor and I hear the stories
The bigger problem is not so much reduction in “individual” wages as its reduction in Average Wages of the Blue Collar and Skilled Labor Pool.
That means there are fewer Blue Collar and Skilled Laborers employed as the domestic GDP producing economy contracts as capital investment and jobs are moved off shore. In parallel domestic IPO’s and stock issues for domestic based capitalization are also on downward trend.
The Domestic US Market Economic Sector reports still do not lie.
Then couple this with wage growth gone stagnant, while inflation roars upward.
Friend of mine in central NH is looking for a house. Sold his months ago and made some cash he’s sitting on. Told me the last two he looked at sold for lower than asking, substantially. Seems to me the housing boom is on the downslide, at least here. Wonder how low it’ll go? Gas has gone up about 10 cents in the last two weeks. Food is creeping up too, slowly but surely. Probably put in a garden in the Spring. Also, liquor is regulated and sold by the State here. Shelves staring to be bare. Jim Beam gone so I asked the clerk what was going on. Told me it was a bottle shortage. I’m 55 and never seen that before.
Liquor and cigarettes will be a premium at some point, coffee too.
Buy as much as you can, those will be worth there weight in gold.
The Stock Market does not reflect the reality. It is primarily because the Federal Central Bank is artificially propping up the the Stock Market. They do not want people crashing the stock market because it would cause people the necessary pain needed to crash Biden administration, Deep State, Communist/Fascist/Totalitarians.
It is quite simple; Trump is all about Wall Street to Main Street (middle class). Biden is all about Main Street to Wall Street and destruction of the Middle Class.
You are flat wrong about the stock market. It reflects exactly what is happening with the flow of wealth and economic development.
I don’t know about you but my 401K is still up. It peaked in Sept, dipped a week ago and is also back to it all time high for me. This is with me taking money out to live on too.
Exactly…I am retired so my investment instruments are of a different type but they are composed of STOCKS and Other Investment Instruments just like your 401. Look at the portfolio composition and impact domestic vs international or global as well as actual size of the commercial entity involved with the stock your portfolio holds.
Folks need to re-read Sundance’s “two economies” article again.
The Stock Market actually finances both and the performance of globally oriented commercial entities includes on and off shore operations.
Either way, stock are way over priced and over valued.
There are two necessary opinions at all times and it is what makes the market. Sellers need buyers and Buyers need seller’s for the necessary liquidity to accommodate both.
Trump had no problem with a strong stock market. His attitude was always about how to make all Americans richer. A strong Main Street economy also helps the Wall Street economy. We’ve been fed a lie for 30 years that the US worker had to suffer in order to get access to cheap consumer goods, and that economic growth could only happen if we did this.
Trump showed that you can have strong growth, a strong US workforce, and a strong stock market and everybody gets wealthier together.
What we’re seeing now is an attempt to shift it all back to offshoring jobs, punishing America workers, and enriching Wall Street (e.g. Big Pharma’s new “vaccine” profit center).
If Trump was in the Oval Office the Stock Market would legitimately most likely be over 40,000. If the Stock Market was legitimate with Biden, it would legitimately be in the 20,000’s or lower.
Stock buybacks…huge.
(hint) it is NOT federal nor is it a “bank”
So this is a perfect time for families to get very creative in how they manage their finances. Start with your cable. I bet the average family of four is paying well over $200.00 a month for cable. Cut that cord immediately or downsize to the bare minimum. Or better yet just get rid of cable and start streaming for next to nothing. Next are your cell phones. Look at your plan and cut it to the bone. Have teen age children, make them go out and get a part time job after school. Companies, especially fast food and grocery stores are always looking to hire people. They get a job, then they can pay for their cell phones. Also, shop around for a different car insurance. BE CREATIVE and you can get by this winter without stressing yourself to the max.
But the jab is free. :-p
When my nail salon owner asked if I got the jab, I said NO. She said, it’s free! I said, well No, it isn’t as I pay payroll taxes. Vietnamese descent (lived here 25 years) so should know better; there is no FREE lunch.
Well she changed her career focus. The pretty teen girl that helped out on my property all summer and now on weekends. She learned how to run a front end loader/ backhoe, weld both gas and stick, plumbing, carpentry, some masonry, even how to install an oil burning furnace in the shop and run line voltage to the sub panel.Took care of chickens and goats. Was going to be a computer gobbledygook something or other by now wants to go to school for vocational trades. She will NEVER be without work. This is how its done. The old time definition of a “Mechanic “- someone that can install your boiler for a hydronic system this morning. This afternoon she will wire the new addition to your house. This evening drop by and lay the foundation blocks for your new garage. Tomarrow morning crawl under your semi, drop the oil pan, pull the connecting rods and pistons and install new. Climb up top and intall new injectors and fuel pump. She will always have work. This is how we build an alternative economy that Lucifers Children cant stop.
I like it. I like doing handy man stuff. Just feels so good like accomplished something with your hands. With care, I like working with basic electricity. Put in a new porch light in 30 mins last night. Old was 40 years old. Yes, old wiring but I’m not getting into that.
I tend to like electric more than plumbing. Electric you can isolate/cut off what you are working on with ease. Plumbing (unless you start with putting in isolation valves for your area) you have to complete your activity until done.
Fun stuff.
Plumbers tend to have the saltier language of the two
Old wiring.Yes indeed. Worked on a seventy year old house, Hot neutral . fun times.
Apprenticeship. That’s what we need to bring back.
Wow ! The young lady will be a good catch for a lucky young man.
I’ve got one with a similar mentality and skill set. Is she anywhere near Michigan?
And this is just the beginning.
Jimmy Carter will look like the good old days after this Biden disaster.
And Paski will circle back and blame it on COVID.
We are so …

Jim Cramer Says ‘Astounding’ Inflation ‘Much Worse’ Than Thought: ‘Just Unbelievable’ (msn.com)
Kramer is a tool. Recall deer in the headlight look when his “friend” said the housing bubble was fine and a week later it crashed.
CTH and Bannon’s War Room is the only place I get my information. Sundance, your tireless effort and commitment is literally heroic, especially during these times. There is simply no adequate way to express my gratitude. But, where does this stop? When will there be consequences for this crime syndicate? What can we do? Based on history of tyranny, armed insurrection is the only force that has shown to topple such. As an American Patriot, if that’s what it takes, I’m ready. I’m not being macho or braggadocio, just love my country, cherish the legacy of my father and other’s of “The Greatest Generation”, and concerned about what lies ahead for my children/grandchildren. After all, we all have an appointment with death…but, “To live is Christ and to die is gain”
I haven’t acquired the taste for Bannon yet
I’m still just here and Dark to Light with some Bongino and Quite Frankly sprinkled in.
Bongino has been fun lately. He’s all in fighting the Vax Mandate. Willing to walk away from Limbaugh’s prime time slot…which will be interesting to watch resolve itself.
Big government created this. Anyone who thinks bigger government will fix it needs serious help. The scary word that no one will utter until it’s to late, hyperinflation.
The Hispanic numbers are not a decline except the total. For the women Hispanics you have the wages going from 722 to 723 which is an increase. For men Hispanics, the wages went from 823 to 826 which is again an increase. You have them labeled Decline. Yes, they are actually a decline in constant dollars – as are all the wages.
A lot of food, other consumer goods from grocery stores, and home cleaning products are up in price or are missing from week to week. Since Walmart has foisted their “woke” racist, anti-white garbage on its workers, I am trying not to buy from Walmart, so my costs are going up a good bit. I am trying to shop sales, when in the past I have considered time more important: not having to go from store to store for items. I am buying some cheaper store brands. I am also stocking up on things I will want in the future because they may be unavailable at the time I want them. Canning jar lids have been nearly absent all spring and summer and when they do appear, they disappear within hours.
Good job boycotting Walmart. Remember traitor criminal KGB agent Peter Stroke said he could “smell the Trump voters in Walmart”. All Trump voters should take their odors to other stores.
Good time to go on a diet and do lots of walking.
If you have any space to do so, I recommend gardening too.
If my yard weren’t overrun by rabbits, I’d plant food other than raspberries. But my battles with weeds still burn the calories consistently.
Like they say out here, … if it gets that bad you’d better be ready to sit all night at the garden with shotgun
I could rent you my Siberian Husky, to take care of the rabbits. She kills anything that moves. But, she also digs up anything that doesn’t move, so you have to watch her around the garden.
See if there are any falconers in your area who practice abatement. A red-tailed hawk could reduce your rabbit population in a hurry. It’s the cycle of nature. The hawk does what it is meant to do and the rabbit gets to do what it was meant to do–feed a hungry predator.
$4.50 for regular unleaded, $9/lb for lower tier steak cuts, $6/lb ground beef (80/20). We can’t hire enough people at our shop to keep all the machines running on a daily basis. We’ve increased our starting pay to $25/hr if they have experience. We’ve hired folks at >$35/hr to do set ups. Most of the shops around are like that in San Diego County.
YEP!
“I don’t have to tell you this, you can see it in your receipt at the grocery store “
“CTH previously stated that from a macro perspective home values peaked in the last two weeks of May and first two weeks of June. Other than institutional investors buying real estate because they need to hold a tangible asset; and some regions where home values are driven by COVID migration patterns; we do not see blue collar working class families purchasing homes, replacement vehicles or expensive durable goods.”
Depending on the severity of the inflation, they won’t be able to afford taxes on those properties.
Zillow is helping the institutional investors become comodity buyers of residential housing with some crazy results.
Seems Wall Street crisis happens every 10-12 years. This one is the most creative. Destroy the economy and make billions.
Pity the homeowners in states like Democrat crime syndicate of NJ. There acting crime lord Governor Murphy a former multi-multi millionaire crook from Wall St Goldman Sachs, just blamed Republicans for the high taxes there. The day should have came already, where these criminal politicians cannot go anywhere without facing mass protests/criticism/confrontations etc
We need a fast Reconquista” of our nation and the rest of Western Civilization
Here’s an interesting tidbit from Central Florida (not by backyard, but Florida nonetheless) where a man applied for entry level jobs for a month and only got one interview and at the interview, the business tried to walk back the printed offered starting wage. So, yeah. Falling wages in Central Florida and no real labor shortage because businesses advertise for workers but won’t hire, so, businesses advertising positions for why????
https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2021/10/20/a-florida-man-applied-for-60-entry-level-jobs-in-a-month-to-prove-the-so-called-labor-shortage-is-a-myth
?
I’m not sure how much of that I believe. Pretty far left, and the writer seems the same. It’s easy to blow an application if you want to.
I just posted it to give everyone a notion of what folks who run the daily rags are saying about the labor shortage. I walked into two jobs in the last year and am about to walk into another part time because I need the money. They are out there for the taking in the Tallahassee metro.
Come on man ! The Circle Back Bitch tells us everything is great because the people demand so much and the wages are so high under FJB.
My son used to play a video game called Lego Batman. There were these characters on one of the levels called Pie Goons who would throw pies at NPCs and players and the pies would explode. Can we get some Pie Goons to infiltrate the next WH press conference with Gin Saki?
“Some have speculated that a “Great Reset” includes the collapse of the economy to such an extent that government will be the only source of financial stability. I’m not sure if it will get to that level, but this latest BLS data release showing a contraction in wages for the blue collar bread winners is very alarming.”
It’s on their web site. The great reset crowd are saying that.
The WH is saying we need a new economic system.
All of which means, expect things to continue getting worse. The new “economic system” will naturally be worse than the old one, and the only one that will work will be based on individual ingenuity and localized productivity and cooperation. We’ll be poorer, but we’ll be better.
Broke Back Mtn better
Colkitto: Good one.
Ty friend, a lil humor is also good medicine.

When are we gonna start sayin…F****BarrackObama

It would be great if that caught on.
WAY too many people give FAR too much credit to the lazy grifter Ozero…Slo Joe is just much more apparent but NEITHER of them make any consequential decisions…they are made FOR them

The Bidung administration hates pets too. My pets preferred food has gone up 10% and that’s the sale price else about 18%.
I guess the elderly living alone, who count on their pets for emotional company, simply aren’t leaving the planet as quickly as intended by the Regime.
“The Liberal urge to ‘save’ humanity, is a false front to enslave it” Totalitarian Communist China eat dogs, and the Democrats have been committing treason against America with China for decades. The Democrats claim to love dogs, yet never do anything to their fellow criminal communist China to pressure them to stop them
My daughter works for an oil company in central NC. Gas prices went up $.20/gallon yesterday.
This week for the first time in years I bought choice (middle grade of beef) and not prime.. Couldn’t justify the expense for prime. And I live in TX. Sad, sad times.
I’m here as well. Beef has been off our menu for a long time. Except for ground, which I can use for tacos, spaghetti and such. And I’m a meat eating girl, so it has been hard.
Here in Central Maine the gas prices have been increasing on average, twice a day give or take 6+ cents per day. Our typical grocery shopping ill has increased almost double (perhaps 75%) over our average weekly expense. My wife just received a $4.20/hour increase to her years long stagnant pay rate from a local hospital. My wages have remained steady and our new 2 yr contract provided a 2% raise next year and a 4% the next year.
I just bought 125 gallons of fuel oil at $3.099 per. That’s nearly $1 increase since this time last year
American Thinker has several good articles today. Here is one:
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2021/10/how_does_a_great_reset_get_accomplished.html
The thief in chief knows what he is doing. Make no mistake about it. The current state of economical affairs–is intentional, is middle class punishment for wanting a better life? Yes. Is it punishment towards MAGA, oh you better believe it!
Any one of AT’s articles today, back my long held hypothesis. He knows what he is doing and does it with a vengeance, to take down the American Middle Class. Congress is complicit.
That third monkey on the ramp, is feeling that ramp pulled out from under his little feet! And its raining harder!
Just like during the Russian Revolution/Soviet Union (a true liberal lunatic asylum) the mass murdering Bolsheviks/Democrats are targeting Christians/Middle Class.
Slo Joe doesn’t know the time of day LITERALLY…his handlers however that is another matter….he cannot remember what he had for breakfast by 10 AM in the morning
2 million plus illegals in California and the blue cities, of course the wages dropped.
The uniparty oligarchy has there man in Bidan and wants no borders at all.
8M ILLEGALS in CA and that was before COVID….they are so numerous they have pushed the BLACKS out of their traditional areas…CA saw a doubling of their population over a 40-50 year time frame and did not add ANY infrastructure or water supply to provide for them….liberals took all the money and created their pipe dream utopia instead…there has been a constant outflow of citizens for the last 25-30 years…the way they kept up the appearance of population growth over that time was by importing more illegals
Point taken, although the breakout for Hispanic men and women actually shows a negligible increase, not a decline as stated.
Not sure how this is possible anyway when the overall figures for Hispanics DOES show a decline.
Are they counting Hispanics who somehow aren’t men or women?
About…Min 44 into the podcast Glenn explains how the great reset is the plan and it involves a new economic system, “fundamental transformation”.
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/canadas-iron-curtain-guests-ezra-levant-artur-pawlowski/id620967489?i=1000539083442
President Joe Biden seeks to “do something historic that will fundamentally change the economy,” Psaki declared. He’s seeking to make “fundamental changes,” she added. She later noted that the president seeks to “make fundamental change in our economy,” “change fundamentally how we invest in our workforce,” “fundamentally change the economy,” and “fundamentally change people’s lives.”
What’s clear is that the bill will, in fact, fundamentally change America’s economy, though not in the way Democrats claim. Their plan lacks any meaningful incentives for growth, jobs, or entrepreneurship. In fact, nearly everything in the bill works to disincentivize economic expansion.
They want inter generational dependency, like in England, where parents are permanently on the dole and that’s all their children know, so they go on the dole too.
kleen: Those are Obozo’s ideas and words.
I used to live in western NC and thought about moving back. The mountains are beautiful (with nice, cool weather as a side benefit) but the cost of living has skyrocketed. It’s a shame!
I can attest to that!
“Some have speculated that a “Great Reset” includes the collapse of the economy to such an extent that government will be the only source of financial stability. ”
My goodness SD, you’re so late to this train. We’re in a market share battle between gainful employment (autonomous self-directed humanity) and UBI wards of state. Lockdowns wither the former and ensconce the latter. The DNC is a wannabe CCP. The RNC is a Quigleyan appendix earmarked for extinction.
Trump is still in the kayfabe ring with Vince McMahon seemingly battling everyone. In Trump’s hearts of hearts is it reality or spectacle? The genius of this system is that it doesn’t really matter. The WWE is a real corporation selling imaginary conflicts where real injuries happen. How real is real? It depends.
Two things are real:
1) America is the last obstacle to fascist global governance and all stops have been pulled to take us out.
2) No one is coming to save us – we must unite to take back our freedom.
As bad as this Q-3 wage data looks for blue collar jobs in this country it is actually worse than Sundance points out. Companies like mine were offering almost unlimited over-time opportunities to the people that actually showed up for work this summer. Our employees were making VERY good money during that period. Hopefully they stowed a lot of it away or paid down debts with it. Probably won’t see anything like that again for a while around here.
Perhaps now the brain dead Democrats paying outrageous property taxes due to the obscene graft, malfeasance, and outright theft of tax funds by criminal local, county, state, federal Democrat “governments” (which are really criminal organizations) will start to question and confront Democrat “politicians” (Criminals) at their meetings, offices, street, stores etc. Democrat Lunatic Aslyums like NJ
Just a hopefully helpful tip. For all you soup makers out there, check with your Honey Baked Ham stores and check on the prices of their ham bones. The last 2 times I have purchased them they were $2.99 each. Still had enough meat on the bone for two meals for the 2 of us, and also a nice large pot of split pea soup. Not usually that inexpensive, but lots of times they are BOGO.
If you can get your hands on large soup bones or whole chicken carcass bones, boil them down to make bone broth. It is very nourishing and can be canned for storage.
Bags of chips that were 2.49 are 4.00 now and I love in California where has is almost 5 bucks a gal.
Live
That is interesting since I travel quite a bit and see billboards begging for workers
at up to $18/20.00 per hour.
Your chart shows that 3rd Qtr 2021 v 3rd Qtr 2020 wages did not decline for neither hispanic men or women.
Yet your comment shows decline.
Thursday is one of my shopping days during the week. Every place I went today had the same story.
They can’t get hourly people to work.
The old timer 20% are taking the hours/work and the rest of the presumptive bums are places unknown.
No one has a clue. Economically, this is something new and more complex than the ‘recession’ ‘stagflation’ paradigms.
This is also in #FreeRedFlorida.
Every damn thing is falling is completely apart. Good thing the mouthbreathers have smartphones to stick in their faces.
Maybe that’s cause it’s Florida and everyone is moving there??
Several people on this thread of comments said where they are there are no jobs available. Maybe what is going on is regional in the extreme and not necessarily blue state/ red state. In rural flyover country (I hate that phrase but it explains what I mean here) no jobs, in small cities and popular destinations like Florida plenty of jobs. But in megalopolises like NYC and LA no jobs again??

Central Alabama.
Fuel is up, in the last few days it went up again. Average of $3.05.
Groceries are interesting. Beef spiked huge a few weeks ago, but has recently come down. Everything else is up, but not as high as the average.
Animal feed is up, but not to bad. Most of that is made in state, so it seems to be mostly fuel and raw material increase, and they are eating what they can on it.
Power hasn’t increased recently, and not sure where it will go. Alabama Power uses hydro, and overall it seems to be quite reasonable compared to other suppliers.
