My wife is Lithuanian. She has not traveled back since this tyranny began, but we are told this is true. Her family is educated, unvaxxed and does not describe the situation quite as desperate as what I just read.
There was a family friend, lady in her 70s who just passed in the hospital with the whole CV/ventilator/medically induced coma regimen. So sad.

Why would I trust something coming through Twitter?
Canada is very close to this state. The vaccine passport means you get banned from just about everything. At this point you can still get groceries and gas and that deemed “essential”. At the end of October those without the passport will be banned from airplanes, trains, boats and buses. Many people will be forced out of their jobs including about 1/5 of the health care workers. Two of my friends who resisted the vax before have given up because of the job loss issue.
The hatred of the unvaxxed is a daily drumbeat of all forms of media in Canada. The unvaxxed are responsible to the pandemic, the lockdowns, the delays in health care, just about everything. People openly express hatred for the unvaxxed and demand they be further cut off from society. Just three days ago my friend who is giving in and getting her first dose today, was shouted at, called names, told to leave at the kitchen were she cooks for Meals on Wheels even though it is not a passport requirement (YET!). The majority of the seniors served there gather to eat outside the kitchen. She was told days she cooks they won’t eat. It was a minority who were so abusive but none of the rest of the people there stood up for her.
Todays’ media drumbeat is that, since this is Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, what is the best way to remove the unvaxxed family members from the family gatherings, with love and compassion of course.

I’m also in Canada and its getting really bad here (at least in BC). There will come a point where these people who are demonizing the unvaccinated will learn that they are on the wrong side of history. UCLA is threatening to drop a black student — who says that all of his classes are online — for not submitting proof that he has been vaccinated against the coronavirus.
