DENVER (KDVR) — A patient on the kidney transplant list was moved to inactive status by UCHealth for not receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. Her living donor is also unvaccinated and UCHealth said both need to be vaccinated for the transplant process to continue.
The letter Leilani Lutali received states: “The transplant team at University of Colorado Hospital has determined that it is necessary to place you inactive on the waiting list. You will be inactivated on the list for non-compliance by not receiving the COVID vaccine. You will have 30 days to begin the vaccination series. If your decision is to refuse COVID vaccination you will be removed from the kidney transplant list. You will continue to accrue waiting time, but you will not receive a kidney offer while listed inactive. Once you complete the COVID vaccination series you will be reactivated on the kidney transplant list pending any other changes in your health condition.”
Lutali said she has religious concerns with the vaccines, as well as concerns that the vaccine would not be effective after receiving immunosuppressant drugs post-surgery.
“Both from a religious standpoint, and from doing some reading, I’m not certain that this is the right way to go,” she said. “The shot’s relatively new, and as a consumer, I’m not an early adopter, I wait and see what’s going on. I feel like I’m being coerced into not being able to wait and see, and that I have to take the shot if I want this life-saving transplant.”
Lutali’s potential donor, Jaimee Fougner, said she was also told she would not be eligible for the surgery since she is unvaccinated as well.
“When I explained that no, I wouldn’t be able to take the COVID shot, then the comment was, well your journey ends here, because we require all of our donors and recipients to have the COVID-19 vaccine,” Fougner said. (read more)

Killing people is right!!! have waited 2 years for surgery to remove a non-functioning kidney. while it’s not completely dead – it’s still producing a hormone that causes uncontrollable blood pressure – typical for me is 240/110, potential stroke level – 1st years denied due to postponement of all elective surgeries. now into 2nd year being denied due to unvaxxed. remaining kidney functions at 27%. nephrologiest does NOT advice vaccine as with any medicine that passes through kidneys. therefore am very limited on what meds can take in attempt to control blood pressure. wearing a mask for extensive period of time – lowering oxygen level – also risks stroke/heart attack. because of that no doctor will even see me at this point.
calling, complaining, arguing is useless. the gestopo at my primary care office is brutal & just doesn’t care. there is NO accommodations allowed. all the years of political fighting for the “pre-existing conditions” to be covered under insurance, covid – which is nothing more than the flu – it’s one size fits all.

Unfortunately, it’s not just about hospitals and their locations. It’s about the qualifications of the surgeons who would be doing their transplant surgeries. There aren’t many of them; it’s a very highly technical and delicate procedure, and even requires different specialized surgeons and OR staff for different transplants.
This incident is a serious development. This rejection comes from administration, most likely, not from the surgeons and staff themselves. They may not even know about this! And most doctors, sadly, are grossly misinformed about vaccines.

Friday, my Daughters test came in Positive.
I immediately went to the feed store and purchased a $7.00 tube of Ivermectin.
Graduated in 50# increments for .2 MG per KG, that was exactly enough for the recommended 5 day treatment for me.
Taken after a meal.
I was sick on Friday, so stayed home until Sunday.
Monday, 1/2 day.
Yesterday, felt weak, but took some dayquil and managed a full day.
Today, I am just a bit tired, but I am over it.
So, the Ivermectin, Quercitin, Zinc, Vitamins’ A&D and it’s over.
It really works.

Reminds me of my sister’s experience in the emergency room when she had a case of bacterial pneumonia. She already had a negative covid test that was still good from her doctor’s visit, but had an attack late at night, ended up in the ER. The nurses got really shitty with her when they found she hadn’t taken the jab. Thankfully, she’s never been one to take shit off of anybody and she got right in their faces and asked them directly, “have you even bothered looking at my file to find out WHY I didn’t get vaccinated?” Yeah, doctor’s advice due to autoimmune disorders which they would have seen very clearly had they bothered to check. Unfortunately, that hospital is really the only viable choice that’s close to home for her.

Absolutely inhumane -perhaps no medical care for the unvaccinated in the future.! There is no justification for this, only punitive measures to marginalize those who remain unvaccinated. At this point, one wonders if accident victims will not be allowed transport or admission to a medical facility. Will they be left to die on the streets? Will unvaccinated cancer patients be allowed to continue with their treatment protocols? It’s not that we (the unvaccinated) are a risk to them, it’s because we are not obedient.
