At 1:00am on August 25th, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats came to an agreement on a massive spending proposal. The Senate previously passed a $1.5 trillion “infrastructure” bill, and a group of 9 House moderates -led by Josh Gottheimer- wanted to see it pass. However, the far-left progressive caucus wanted their $3.5 trillion spending package which includes Green New Deal spending passed as part of the total budget agenda.
Representative Gottheimer’s group did not concur with the House $3.5 trillion spending proposal and saw no-way for it to pass the Senate.
An internal deal was struck amid the Democrats for Gottheimer’s coalition to agree to advance a rules change with two conditions on that August 25th late night discussion {GO DEEP}:
(1) Pelosi would have to promise to bring the $1.5 infrastructure bill to a vote on September 27th; and (2) Any larger GND/”Human Infrastructure” bill ($3.5 spending package) would need to be structured to pass the Senate.
Again, back on August 25th, the ‘moderate’ Marxists (for lack of a better term) could see that AOC’s progressive caucus spending bill was unlikely to pass the Senate in its current form. To get the Gottheimer group on board, House Speaker Pelosi agreed to the two conditions, as negotiated. To appease the AOC nuts, everyone agreed to tie both the $1.5 trillion infrastructure and the $3.5 trillion spending boondoggle together.
Fast forward through the next four weeks. The Senate struggled to come to any agreement as Senator Manchin (WV) and Senator Sinema (AZ), along with others, balked at the insufferable nature of the $3.5 trillion blueprint that would remake the entire U.S. economy and end up with a massive $5+ trillion deficit. Eventually both Manchin and Sinema tapped-out, there would be no way to compromise with the far-left moonbat caucus who were dug in.
Because the second point in Gottheimer’s deal (House bill must be able to pass the Senate) was not met, the entire process came unraveled. Suddenly, Pelosi finds herself having to renege on the promise to bring the $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill to a vote on September 27th. As the deadline passed, Pelosi tried to save face -en process- by saying the vote would be likely on Friday October 1st.
With public support for the office collapsing at an astounding rate, Joe Biden attempted to insert himself and his weak-sauce leverage at the last minute. It didn’t help. The $3.5 trillion spending priority quickly turned into a dead fish, rotting in blueprint outline form without ever making it to ‘reconciliation’ legislative language.
As a consequence, Pelosi’s original agreement with Josh Gottheimer (NJ) leaves him in the same position as Bart Stupak in 2010.
In the aftermath of Nancy Pelosi’s ObamaCare lies, former Representative Bart Stupak (Michigan) and the entire 19 member Blue-Dog caucus were wiped out in the 2010 mid-term election. Democrats actually lost a total of 63 seats in the U.S. House (biggest crushing defeat since 1938) and lost 6 seats in the Senate during that 2010 mid-term.
The August 25th promise to bring the $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill to the House floor on September 27th was a lie. Democrats are by nature totalitarian dictators, and just like Bart Stupak, Josh Gottheimer was threatened by Pelosi and House leadership to go along and get his group to vote in support of Pelosi’s massive scheme.
Josh Gottheimer, and the 9 members of the ‘moderate Marxist’ coalition, held up their end of the agreement and supported Pelosi with the two reasonable terms in place. However, Gottheimer and his group are now left to recognize just how extreme and dangerous the AOC-wing has become.
The Speaker of the House lied to Gottheimer in an effort to manipulate his support. This is the zero-sum strategy Democrats always deploy. Pelosi never had any intention of living up to her end of the bargain unless her larger objectives were met. Democrats are devious and they don’t have boundaries in their fight. The ‘ends‘ justify any ‘means‘.
Democrats must be taken out of power; they are dangerous…. and, based on increased public sunlight, the current polling indicates an awakened nation is noticing.
In the interim, Pelosi is deploying her familiar UniParty tactic. She is baiting the Republican and opposition to attack the Democrats for their lack of cohesiveness. Pelosi wants the nastiest, snarkiest, most hate-filled attacks possible. Then she will use the attacks against Democrats to circle the wagons and deploy her demand, a guilt and shaming move, to save-face for the entire Democrat political apparatus.
Pelosi’s strategy usually works…. But will it work this time?

My old Congressman went to DC w/the greatest of intentions. He told me to my face in his office that DC was insane. His words. The second you walk in the door they are all over the newbies and threatening them. If you want to serve on a committee, or keep your seat on a committee you have to roll over. They put them in a closet and make them do weekly phone calls to raise money. Honestly I don’t remember if he did two or three terms, but he got out, as in had enough and everything about the place was corrupt. This was maybe 10 years ago. It is a shame because he was a good Congressman.
Yes, I had a good friend who worked back there with Young America’s Foundation and he said the same thing. They come into office all wide eyed and full of good intentions but they are very quickly bullied, bribed, blackmailed, threatened, or all of the above and very, very few of them can withstand that kind of pressure…
And with all of the surveillance techniques available to the IC today, if there are ANY skeletons in someone’s closet, they will be discovered! And if there aren’t any, they will find the ones in your wife’s closet, or your brother’s closet, or your 14 year old kid’s closet…

One is stronger on their own turf, so each house member and senator have offices in their home state and district. The state will pay salaries and office space/staff. This makes the elected more accountable to their constituents and the governor. Do what constituents want, decent salary and office space. Lie during campaigning and be a changling when elected, poor salary and office space.
One good thing of the scamdemic showed that zoom congressional hearings were okay. Exemptions to voting in person were done, over the centuries old rule of voting in person at the Capitol. Harder to arm twist people when not in the same city.

A GOP source who has seen the map that DeWine as of now intends to introduce next week told Breitbart News that it would eliminate the district of Trump stalwart Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), pushing it entirely into deep-blue Columbus, Ohio, the state capital, instead.
The map DeWine is planning to introduce would also pit Reps. Mike Turner (R-OH) and Warren Davidson (R-OH) against each other, drawing both of them into a Dayton-based district. This is because Ohio lost a congressional district in reapportionment after the 2020 U.S. Census. But instead of eliminating a Democrat-held district, the DeWine team is, per this Republican familiar with the map, planning to pit two Republicans against each other.

Right? I was just thinking about this, the rational thing for the Democrats to do is what Democrats have done forever, take half a loaf now where they can peel off some squishy Republican votes and let a few of their members in tough districts vote against it to show their “independence,” the come back next year for another whole loaf. As you’ve outlined in devastatingly fine detail, the House under Pelosi isn’t in any meaningful sense a legislative body. At least not in the American tradition. We have all learned in the last few years that the fourth branch has been collecting dirt on members of Congress, even if they have to set them up to get it…. think Epstein. My question is, how much of that dirt does Nancy have access to? I heard a audio clip of her the night before the vote saying “it’s in THEIR (party hold-outs) best interest to pass this”. I took that as she was threatening them with whatever dirt she has on them. Otherwise, wouldn’t it be more reasonable to say it’s in their constituents best interest?

They have to do it this year. Next year are House elections and the Congress never does much in an election year. The next 2 years after that the GOP scum will be back in charge of the House.
BTW, the fight is for the States now. Except of FL and TX the other GOP states seems to be asleep at the wheel. The fight for control of the Feds is lost for good.
Florida and Texas are the two most populous GOP states. The Texas Attorney General has 300 attorneys working under him. It probably makes a lot of sense for other states to join Texas in some of these big lawsuits that Ken Paxton brings against the federal government rather than attempt to break new ground on their own.
There is another dimension that needs to be added to Nancy’s “crisis” of her own making – the “Justice” Democrats, the Jimmy Dores, Matt Taibis, Aaron Mate`s, Glenn Greenwalds, not to mention those on the other side, such as the Cenk Uygurs, Ben Mankiewitzs, and Anna Kasparians.
The Wild Child side of the Democrats have been bitterly fighting for months now. They hate everyone and everything, most especially each other. They even hate Bernie Sanders.

Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, etc… are serial liars with sociopathic tendencies in my opinion. I do wish their respective constituencies would repent and vote to replace them with competent effective Christian patriots that align with MAGA. The younger generation will have to make better choices in the voting booth if they want better results in my opinion, plain and simple.

I am pissed that the R’s voted to pass the CR, and also $6billion for 60,000 Afghans already in the US. $100,000 for every Afghan and child bride.Every single R should be telling everyone that they will not do it on Dec 3 again. The Democrats need to actually do the work of a Budget. The R’s should be pounding this everyday. But why do I think they won’t?
Also, isn’t it funny how they want to spend 3.5 trillion right now, within a year or two, but yet get all worked up when a tax cut might theoretically cost $300 billion over 10 years.
Pretty astute take, from where I sit. This is one of those moments where “Never interrupt the enemy while they’re making a mistake” applies. R’s should, in my view, just STFU and sit back and let Pelosi’s criminal cartel stew in their own juices.
