Every word of this monologue by Neil Oliver is so true. I hope you will watch and stay with it, as it gets better as it gets deeper and more resolute.
For well over a year, CTH has been outlining the critical importance of fellowship. The importance of the human connection that seems to have been purposefully torn apart. I agree with Mr. Oliver in many points including that the lock-downs were purposefully orchestrated in order to make people feel isolated and alone. When people are isolated, they become fearful. Those who hold power tenuously need fear in order to keep control.
Mr. Neil Oliver eloquently explains his position that he will not participate in any system of forced or coerced division. When encountering an institution, business or enterprise that demands vaccinated status as a precondition; we will not participate or lend credibility toward such an abusive fiat by complying with their dictate or demand. Isolation starts with a rebellion against God, and we must be conscious about the human need to be connected.

.
I will not divide my humanity, nor concede my core view of fellowship, simply to comply with the demand of another that I consider my brother or sister of greater or less equity than myself. Any business that chooses that path will not benefit from my economic participation. I choose freedom!
Not only are various governmental agencies forcing the separation of people from their community networks, we are also seeing faith-based organizations, churches, buying into the fear. Even in areas where churches are not forcibly shut down, many are seeing a structural shift where some faith leaders are willingly ostracizing their community under the guise of various COVID alarms. This is not good…. not good at all.
Fellowship is the essential ingredient to a purposeful life. How and why we interact with each other is how and why we recharge our core humanity. To see faith leaders willing to separate from the function of fellowship is alarming. However, as individuals we must not allow this foreboding sense to become the normal expectation.
Throughout history, large armies have been defeated through the process of division. It is not a leap to see the same strategic objectives being deployed against social assemblies including congregations. It is puzzling how many in leadership cannot see the danger in social and spiritual distance when the bond of fellowship is needed more than ever.
Each of us has a different connection to our community. Each of us has a different level of internal strength… such is the nature of living. However, the distance between people is manifestly not a good outcome when combined with the lack of food for the soul.
Ultimately, it is the currency of human connection that is the true value in our lives.
We have each felt how our positive influence upon the lives of others nourishes our own sense of purpose and fulfillment. Do not lose that. Do not think you can compensate for that through other arbitrary measures; you cannot.
With local, state and federal leaders moving beyond the workplace distance; and beyond the community distance; and beyond the church distance; and now entering your home to tell you the importance of separating yourself from your family, we must evaluate these arbitrary decrees very deliberately.
Evaluate very closely what we are willing to give up. Perhaps we are in this position today because we didn’t sit still enough and contemplate the real priorities in our lives.
Our liberty is inherent.
Our freedom is inherent.
The removal of both requires consent.
I choose not to disconnect.
I choose purpose.
I choose my own humanity.

Excellent! That was six minutes well spent. Thanks Sundance.
I agree!
Good One
My oldest brother in Hawaii. He got the vax early on. He went to the hospital and tested positive for covid. He was given 20 day quarantine! You must be isolated!
Well, shame on you! Clearly if you had gotten vaxxed, your brother’s would have worked. It’s all your fault!
The purpose of Frankfurt School critical theory is to provide a methodology aimed at breaking down social institutions. Do that and the taken-for-granted structure of a society—the expectations that customary social relationships will continue to exist—will fail.
The idea is that once these are destroyed or at least questionable then the revolutionaries can begin to rebuild society in ways they think are more appropriate. When you think about it, this is an absolutely insidious threat to modern life in a free society. Nonetheless, we’re seeing this happen under our very noses. I urge everyone to do a little research into critical theory methods. When you do you’ll quickly see how requiring vaccination-passports fite perfectly into critical theory’s destruction-of-society model. We can best oppose this crap when we understand how it works.
Thank you Sundance.
I’ve listened to his sensible, measured, heartfelt videos. No raised nor threatening voice. There is a peace about him. He has clearly chosen his path and God bless him mightily. His priorities are absolute. As ours should be and are. These are the types who want just to be left alone. If tyrants steal what is not theirs, destroy everything dear to us, I believe at some point they’ll pay a high price. And these monsters are really pushing that time closer. For Australia, that moment is now. I’ll follow it closely and pray for all her people.
He did a great job reframing the moral debate over mandates by saying he’d be as likely to go to a dog track than patronize a jab-requiring establishment!
His videos were a real find. I can’t remember where I first came upon them, but no matter. Thrilled Sundance found him as well
I think he said “dog fight.”
Same meaning kind of…
I know many old friends who take Vitamin D (and no problem there) in HUGE amounts to avoid ‘Covid’, but…
won’t go out in the sun. In September :/
“Strange days, indeed. Most peculiar, mama.” (he thought so, right up until he got shot by a fuitcake who was SURE he would save the world, by killing Lennon. Looks like J.L. was right, too- I bet he’d be stunned at how right he was, at this point in time)
Integrative or holistic medicine is quite complex. Someone hears Vitamin D can help and they go out and buy the largest dosage pills they can find which most likely just get flushed through the system and cannot be used by the body due to the overdosage or low bio availability of the nutrient used by the supplement maker. There are many types of Vitamin D like other major vitamins. It is not just one simple thing which can be added in whatever form one wishes. Based on studies, the Vitamin D produced by our body’s largest organ when exposed to the sun is not only different than other known forms but, appears to be far more important than other types of Vit D. Considering that exposure to sunlight also kills any virus almost instantly, getting out more is the best medical advice one can probably get.
I’ve had my best tan ever…since last year.
Thank you, Hitchhiker, for sharing your very wise post!
It is quite unusual to overdose on Vitamin D. Too much Vitamin D does not “flush through the system”. It actually causes depletion of Magnesium and increased Calcium levels. The highest OTC dosage is, I believe 5,000 IUs which is within the acceptable daily range. Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) is the form of Vitamin the body makes when exposed to sunlight. It is also the best form with which to supplement.
While the preferred way of getting Vitamin D3 is through exposure to sunlight, people who live in the northern hemisphere often experience Vitamin D depletion in the winter months because of reduced exposure to the sun. Hence, some doctors refer to the flu season as Vitamin D deficiency season.
Sounds like the type of Vitamin D one gets from the sun is superior in the same way that natural immunity is 20 times more powerful against all coronaviruses than the jab.
On my way out to plant a spirea bush, which will take me long enough to absorb lots of sun!
outstanding
It is forbidden to distance yourself from fellow believers: Hebrews 10:25, “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some…” (NKJV).
Any principality or power that restricts your freedom of assembly (cf. w/1st Amendment) is innately wicked and depraved. Fight them to the death.
And masking and “social” distancing when in proximity to others is not true assembly.
There is NO EXAMPLE of widespread quarantines preventing the spread of an outbreak ANYWHERE IN HISTORY.
That’s why they used the slogan “Slow the spread” in the first place. And we are well past the point where that did any good whatsoever.
Proverbs 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pitchers of silver.
It was Drive A Tractor To Church day today with a wonderful turnout!
A meal afterwards where I heard one lady ask, should we be following social distancing? A Deacon standing next to me boldly states, we are so over and past that nonsense.
It was so great. She stayed in line and enjoyed herself. Did I say how great it was?
People out here get it, states like New York seem as far away as Australia.
No more unsocial distancing.
Right, the nabob who came up with that twit-i-cism deserves a good flogging, or a keel hauling.
Socialist Distancing
I oppose that.
I heard it was taken from some 14-year-old’s science project. ?
I’ve always called it anti-social distancing.
That it does!
Thanks for that Sundance.
I must a say hearing such words from a fellow Scot is heartwarming.
My bet is that many hearing that are of a similar opinion.
The “ elites” have may unleashed a movement stronger than they ever could have imagined.
Haven’t they just. Bears of very little brains (A A Milne…made plural).
There is no culture I admire more than the Scots. The epitome of courage.
The Scottish brogue is beautiful to listen to as well.
Yes it is!
Love to hear the Word of God preached by a good Scottish preacher too! Allister Begg comes to mind.
In my life I’ve actually seen an increase in fellowship. The more we are being pushed the more we are ignoring our differences and altho unspoken in needing to do so, we are uniting in a common cause. We are slowing strengthening our community of trusted friends and the force that’s behind it is our common belief in liberty and the distain we have for those that are attempting to deny our liberty. Any business that joins the ranks of the oppressors will be ostracized by our community.
And isn’t this place the most wonderful place for that fellowship. My eternal gratitude to Sundance, Ad Rem, Menagerie, Stella who have gone through so much to keep providing it. I do believe when Sundance was given a short time by WordPress to get gone, and he had to pour everything he had into moving to another server, God Himself took His hand and made it happen. Nothing will disabuse me of that belief…so I say DEO GRATIAS. God has shown His grace and his mercy.
YES…..there certainly was divine guidance involved!
I followed you all for years before I started commenting. My first port of call in the morning and the last thing before bed. It just feels like home. So I thank all of you for pouring your hearts and souls into this site. True a blessing for me.
I feel the same. ?
Thanks for all you do!
One more thing, Ad Rem. The hand of God, I believe, was also in the timing of your site’s targeting by WordPress. Given what has happened since the debacle of November 3, and with so many sites of the same nature as this one being unceremoniously dumped, I do believe He looked down and said “…not this one!” The strains for you all I know were unexpected and devastating. But His mysterious way in this case was, in the end, the truest of blessings…for you and for us all here.
Amen, Betsy.
Me too!!
We are fortunate indeed.
Absolutely!!
There is a peace about him. He has clearly chosen his path and God bless him mightily.
Long term
The vaccinated will be the problem!
The jab infects them and thus they will infect the non vaccinated.
Thus they are the problem!
Yes, you are right, and I have first-hand experience with the effect. Z-pack, you all, even if you aren’t exposed to anyone vaccinated. [Quercetin, Vit. C, Vit. D3 + Zn] plus some pineneedle tea just to be sure (actually quite good with lemon and sugar).
The funny thing is that none of us will make it out of this life alive…
My best friend bought into the fear and got vaccinated. I have no intentions of turning my back on her because of it.
Hope she doesn’t turn her back on you either. ?
She won’t. We each understand and respect the other’s position.
Amen!! I will not stop gathering with like minded family and friends…even as I mourn the loss of relationship with those who have chosen fear over fellowship!
And the irony that all of the people, like myself, who have done our best to patronize local restaurants and small family businesses over the past 18 months now being the ones “locked out” whilst the very people who wanted them all shut down will be the ones allowed to enter, is mind-blowing!
Unbelievable, right? These venues will collapse of their own weight when the vaccinated are too sick to enjoy them, and the rest of us have already moved on.
I feel kind of bad for some of the smaller businesses, the ones who want us there and don’t want anything to do with enforcing the bogus vax pass mandates, but can’t afford to get caught ignoring the unfunded mandates (and isn’t that a big no-no to begin with? Wiggle room, maybe?). There’s no way to win for these folks, and God bless them, they just want to get along and be left alone to live their lives fairly following the Lord’s words.
We already see this splitting in our Roman Catholic Church. The church immediately bowed to the State when told to close, the choir sings while masked, no one shakes hands or has holy water. But, we managed to bring back the donation basket awfully fast. Now this.
“Philadelphia Archdiocese says it will not support religious exemptions from Covid vaccination.”
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/08/20/us/covid-vaccine-religious-exemption-philadelphia-catholic-church.html
“In such cases, the burden to support such a request is not one for the local Church or its clergy to validate.” Neither the Archdiocese nor its parishes would support exemption requests, he said.
Born and raised Roman Catholic. In the US, it’s been purchased by government money, and blackmailed over pedophilia scandals. Lots of good people, but collectively they’ve lost their way.
The Catholic Church is the worst. Left many years ago and never looked back.
I’m not Catholic. But I have discovered Archbishop Vigano, whose homilies and essays can be found on Lifesite and other places if one searches. During the election he wrote two magnificent personal letters to Mr Trump that very nearly made me weep, so beautiful and hopeful were they. I do believe in my heart God speaks through him. He is a true servant of his Lord, and speaks and writes forthrightly and without fear. I think I’m correct that he is in hiding for doing so. So I pray that God and St Michael watch over him and keep him safe. His voice is much needed. We can’t afford to lose it.
I’m not Catholic either, but I admire Vigano and Mother Miriam (youtube).
A church that would not defend Father John Corapi is not a church I care to join. He was set up, probably on purpose.
If you haven’t heard him preach (and he is a very good preacher), find him on youtube and listen. Until I heard him, I thought all Catholic priests were bad preachers. Every priest I’d ever heard before was simply boring. Not so with Father Corapi.
So many targeted. Father Altman being another. Not only disheartening, but also unfathomable.
Thank you for the reference.
My Catholic church in VA is wide open and unmasked.
Thanks for this post, PS. Yes, the mask wearing, and continues at my church in Minneapolis, recently opened to have people in “regular” services, socially distanced, of course. I too see alot of societal breakdown. All this also served up last Lent, when we were also advised to get in touch with our White Supremacy, via Di Angelo, James Baldwin, and some others, and other large dollops of preening, virtue signalling social justice warrioring and high-handed “spiritual” advice. And now, lo and behold, times have been/are tough, they want money, next fiscal budget, you know, as it’s pledge time to support a continuation of the way it is always done, and it’s your duty to support the program, etc.
“…faith-based organizations, churches, buying into the fear. Even in areas where churches are not forcibly shut down, many are seeing a structural shift where some faith leaders are willingly ostracizing their community under the guise of various COVID alarms.”
Worse, how many of faith-based orgs. have/will have the self-awareness to realize how ostracizing and self-righteous they have been/are? Excuses might be “we meant so well, we tried, we did zoom and installed a lot of expensive audio and recording equipment, we went through the motions, but, you know…Covid, and, social justice, and community, and we have to have tolerance and forgiveness, etc.,” plug in the memes of your choice. How many were asked, what is it YOU need and would like to see? Oh, and put on your mask before you come in.
Thanks for your comment, and your local report. I might as well expand on mine.
In my church last year, the pastor said they weren’t investing in any A/V equipment, and we could listen in to Philly for mass. He had tried keeping the doors open during lockdown for the nuns and their daily mass requirements (we’re saying mass, and if you happen to be here to hear it, so be it), but story goes someone in the congregation reported him to the township for breaking occupancy limits, and he completely shut down after that. PA was so bad.
So, our family gathered around our TV the next week, and lo and behold, we watched this mishmash of English/Spanish/Latin songs and prayers, trying to follow along in a disjointed PDF download. It was not enjoyable, and opened our eyes to how they did it in the Big City, what they did with the donations.
And my wife and I said that’s it, and we started YouTubing other churches until we found a good fit to the Celtic mass that we were used to. We tried St Patrick’s in NYC a lot, and eventually settled on some church in New England that actually tried to have a good mass. It’s interesting to me how much variation is allowed, when we are supposed to be the stuffy “organized religion”.
We have been watching the diocese of Sioux Falls, South Dakota mass from st. Joseph’s cathedral. It’s very wonderful. Bishop DeGrood is the best Bishop I have ever heard give homilies. We have not missed a Sunday since covid started and the two week lockdown. The cathedral is very beautiful visually. Check it out you may like it too.
Thanks. I did not want to give any impression it was a Catholic Cathedral. The Catholic Cathedral is in St. Paul. It is a Basilica in Minneapolis. I speak of a different denomination.
Yep. My fearful former Bible study group is making just such excuses as their membership dwindles.
Wow. I feel very fortunate that my Catholic Church is just the opposite. Praise the Lord! Our priests don’t wear masks, or gloves to give communion and have openly offered exemptions for those who may need them. We shake hands with our fellow parishioners, and priests. Although there are a few who wear masks, I’ve noticed they are of the younger crowd which is quite interesting considering us older ones are the “vulnerable” ones. There’s social distancing so to speak but sadly only because attendance has not gotten back to pre-Covid days when some Sundays many had to stand.
It’s so sad to see any church exhibit such shaky faith and push fear. Just the opposite of what they’re supposed to do.
Unlike what we’ve always expected of the young, the youth of today are conformists.
The youths glued to their social media are deceived about conventional wisdom, but no more so than their parents who are glued to mainstream television. Even non- conformity is carefully orchestrated and choreographed these days.
I left my church building with intention, but not the people within it. This is an important distinction.
The church elders went full on Marxist well before Covid, when Lutheran Services and Catholic Charities partnered up in human trafficking schemes and led mockingbird sermons that rival MSM’s 4am talking points..
They called this “fellowship.”
Sigh. We are the world, indeed. Only those boats they thought were lifted have instead foundered on the shoals of freedom and liberty, and taken on water.
People who lead the flock astray no longer enjoy my energy. But that’s OK. Fellow travelers know where to find me. And they do.
WE are the church, where ever two are gathered in His name.
I am a lifelong Roman Catholic, and have remained so against all odds. Most of my family and friends have long since left, which is completely understandable and likely by design.
The institution is now fully rotted to the core, just as Satan would have it. Covid has exposed the hierarchy’s conceit, corruption and complicity with the globalist agenda, even selling out to the CCP.
I would leave, too, but I made the choice to remain among the faithful brethren as they slowly realize that the Church is long gone. And then I believe we will rejoice! We will rise again, just as Jesus did, and rebuild from the bottom up, having learned the foolishness of ceding our faith traditions to an unaccountable power center that attracts evil like flies to feces.
When I consider how evil the consequences of covid have been, are, and will be, I cannot fathom that a God who gave His only son for our salvation would simply give up on us now. It is scary, but He is just giving the evil doers more rope with which to hang themselves.
This is actually the time to remain deeply faithful, or reclaim your faith, because the rebirth is going to be mighty and spectacular. Jesus is coming alright, and you are going to want to be there when He does!
My feelings about the Church are similar. As Peter said, there is nowhere else to go. And since the Church is built on the Body of Christ, it will not fall. Certainly the evil ones will, but the living core of the Church is Christ in the Eucharist.
Exactly. What keeps me Catholic is Jesus!
I’m not Catholic but have found many uplifting and compelling articles from The American TFP. You might find it so, too
https://www.tfp.org/
Terrific site….somehow I’ve missed it. Thanks for turning me on to it!
The churches locked us out, deprived us of sacraments and fellowship. They are part of the evil network. I will never go back.
My archdiocese makes no reccommendation on the vax.
I see the church as doing what it can while it struggles to comply with state laws and local mandates.
We are the church. We are also human and subject to mistakes and errors.
The Catholic church is not perfect and neither is any church on earth.
It is what YOU make it.
The USCCB needed to comply while loudly protesting and calling out the fear tactics (Satan’s calling card). Instead they remained silent as they grabbed for the covid relief money ($3+ billion reportedly) like kids at Halloween candy. But then they really had little credibility left and no moral backbone upon which to take a stand. Silence = Death.
We never stopped going to church. Nobody tried to shut us down. My wife and I never ever put a mask on our faces. We got the virus right before all the lockdowns. We will never get the vaccine. Don’t need it.
Even in Deep Blue Honolulu, the churches my family is connected with are packed; no masking; no vax cards; no fear. The contrast between others in our lives, who live in abject fear, could not be more stark.
https://swprs.org/face-masks-and-covid-the-evidence/
A metric ton of evidence that the masks are completely useless and even detrimental.
Dozens of major medical journals and randomized controlled trials and so forth. A good thing to print out and send to just about every fearful or bullying person who insists on wearing them.
On the side of the box of disposable masks is a disclaimer that says: Not intended for medical use. Who are they trying to fool?
Since COVID (March 2020), two state prisons that I and other men serve have had ONE worship service in their chapel. In other words, one of these two prisons has not had even one worship service in their chapel since COVID started.
Even though our Lord said fear not those who can kill the body, but those who can kill the soul. None of these people who make these types of decisions are believers.
Terrible.
Yikes.
That’s not good.
If they don’t want people to go in there, couldn’t they at leat set up a Video Service for people to attend??
Does the prison refuse to let people gather?
And yet Christ and many missionaries ministered to lepers.
And later in Church History to those caught in the Plague pandemics. They chose to lay down their lives for their brothers.
Boots on the ground report from Northeast Ohio:
There’s still some work to be done.
Yesterday, I attended a local peaceful rally. One of the signs included “Love over Fear.”
Because I showed up, I was offered free coffee and free bottled water by some kind strangers, which I gratefully accepted and then happily talked a little with them while drinking the coffee so we could get to know each other better. So far so good. And wow, here I was, one of the “cool kids”! Simply for showing up and waving an American flag.
At some point, I was handed a business card from a local church … I won’t mention the denomination. Okay, seemed like a friendly gesture. So far so good.
A little while later, a severely destitute homeless woman with a shopping cart empty except for a small, neat stack of paper towel sheets walked right by all of us on the sidewalk, without saying a word. Based on how she was “dressed” and what she looked like, people either pretended not to see or stared in shock.
Nobody offered her a coffee or a bottle of water. As she was quietly moving beyond and away from the group, I suddenly remembered the bottle of water in my own hand, which fortunately I had not started drinking from yet, caught up to her just as she was leaving the rally area, and gave her the water. No, she had not waved a flag, but she needed it more than I did. Having had a best friend (whom I lost to heart disease) who had been on the verge of homelessness during her life, I just couldn’t let this homeless lady walk by me and do nothing.
With all the dignity she could muster, she carefully placed the bottle into the shopping cart next to the small pile of paper towel sheets. And then she mildly asked if I also had a dollar or $5 that I could give her?
Especially since I had been the one to approach her, she had every right to ask. I gave her a modest donation which was not nearly enough to cover all her immense needs … But hopefully enough to show her that to me, she had worth as a human being, created in the image and likeness of God, and was worthy of respect and fellowship. Worthy of being seen, especially in a crowd where there was a sign saying “Love over Fear.”
Hebrews 13:2. “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.”
As I was 1/4 of the way down reading I suddenly remembered that quote you inserted and thought I must find it and reply to you. As I continued to read there it was you had inserted it – well done and God bless.
Always nice to meet a like mind and kindred spirit! 🙂
Thank you for you good act. It is always hard to act for the right reason.
This reminded me…. The second reading the other week was from James, and the message was, what good is faith without works? You can talk a good game, but if you never act to help your fellow man when you have the ability, then what good is it? Your “faith” is just empty words.
Likewise, you can do good works without faith, but then we ask, was it done for another purpose? Self-serving aid isn’t really charity. That’s more like the “quid pro quo” that is so popular in our political class right now.
Love what you’ve added here about faith and works! You’ve eloquently said something I was thinking but couldn’t quite express. 🙂
Unfortunately sometimes they steal.
My sister is an ER tech/paramedic. When she treats really awful cases/patients she reminds herself that she could in fact be treating Jesus Himself. Not good with quoting bible verses…but something along the lines of how you treat the least of these, your treat me. To me, this is “mindfulness”. God is with each of us every second of everyday. And yes, sometimes ppl are thieves and worse, yet children of God. Hard to reconcile yet so many times in the bible we are instructed to be not afraid.
Thank you
Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Never underestimate the genius and depravity of Lucifer in his drive to corrupt and destroy every person made in the image of God.
Never underestimate the capacity for individuals and groups to dehumanize and exercise tyranny over others…because they are following the program of the tyrant, who is the Devil.
Never consider yourself immune from his singular mission to kill, steal and destroy emanating from his defiance against his Maker and Judge.
BUT ALSO:
Never consider yourself beyond God’s reach, or too far gone for His grace to redeem you. As long as you have breath in you, you have hope.
And as long as God is your Hope, His love can overcome any fear, put you over any limit, and form unbreakable bonds of fellowship that transcend this life and this world.
Thanks I needed that today.
Amen, Amen and Amen!
Social media is the Anti-Fellowship.
Excellent! Commanding, quiet, peaceful resolve.
I hurt so much for my 11 year old daughter. I pulled her from school, but I am torn because, even though the content of her instruction is compromised (to put it mildly) and she would be forced to wear a mask to be with friends, at least she would get to see them. She’s been cut off from 90% of her old circle of companions. She has 5 kids she can sometimes play with. It breaks my heart.
We go to the beach, park, and all kinds of activities, but it’s mostly 30 miles away because the area I live is all about compliance. Her friends cant come with us, but she’ll usually make a friend for the day wherever we go. You can tell it’s taking its toll on her.
At the very least, she knows I care and I’m always having her at least call her friends. I’ll drop all plans we may have made if the kids down the street comes over. We have tickle fights and bake and cook and shoot each other with nerf guns and watch shows, but there’s nothing like being with other kids. I believe I’m doing the right thing, or at least doing the best I can, but it’s hard to see a funny, sweet, gregarious kid being intentionally kept from friends under the guise of safety. It’s sick
Why did you take her out of school?
Her second sentence?
Satan laughs. He’s driving all this.
It is beyond sick – they simply do not care that an entire generation of children will grow up fearful and isolated! Because it is all about power and money and in order to achieve their desired end, the individual is expendable and that is EVIL!!
But hang in there and keep doing what you are doing – your daughter will recognize that she has worth and dignity because of how you are prioritizing her and doing all you can to give her a normal childhood! Find others who feel the same way that you do – believe me, they are out there!! Maybe both of you will make some new friends and they will become your tribe in the hard days ahead!!
There are probably home school groups in your area that would love to have you join them. Some get together for instruction, while others for play and socialization. Took our kids out years ago at 2nd and 3rd grade. Their 1st response: “You took us away from our friends!”
It didnt last long when they met new ones.
I went to 14 different schools in 9-10 different towns/cities. I can tell you that it never bothered me to leave my friends behind because I knew there were tons more to be made!
Kids are very resilient. She will be fine! Also, hormones are starting to kick in, so some of her sweet, gregariousness may possibly be affected by this.
You sound like a great mother. She is lucky to have you!
Fantastic video. This guy says it all. Thanks, Sundance, for posting it.
I’ve been on my own now, for close to 3 years. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats that keep me company. My wife is in a nursing home; long term care after having multiple strokes. If she has another stroke, I’m not sure if she’ll survive it. I do ok by myself; mowing the lawns, feeding the cats and dogs, doing the laundry, and trying not to burn the potatoes help me pass the time. I don’t interact with the neighbors much; most of us keep to ourselves. Which is probably a good thing….
I know I’m repeating myself about the vaccine mandates, but I have not gotten the jab. Never will.
You Treepers are awesome. You all are the Light in a world that’s starting to go dark.
BTW. How do you get one armed liberals out of a tree?
Wave at them.
good one!!! still laughing
Very funny, Joe…. Didn’t see that coming!
You are most certainly right about the Treepers… Not sure what we’d do without the fellowship on this site…
Offering a special prayer for you and your wife (and the cats and dogs!) tonight…
Thank you.
Hang in there Joe, May God bless you.
Thanx, one and all. We’re doing alright. Sometimes when I visit my wife, I take the chihuahua to see her.
My wife lights up like a Christmas tree when I come in with Molly.
My husband called our little dog our “little angel.” What a sweet companion he was. Your chihuahua appears to be one of your wife’s little angels, too.
Thank you.
So much of the best of humanity is on this site. Your post and so many others inspires me to do better, be better and aim higher. Grateful for all who inhabit here. Thank you.
Outstanding. Through faith, one is never alone. As you state, isolation begins with rebellion towards God.
I am so blessed in my church. It was packed this morning for the fourth service even though it has been raining torrentially for 2 days. Our pastor is a warrior for God’s word. He says he does not want to have conflict with anyone but he will not yield when it comes to telling the truth and sticking to the scripture. As a result, many liberals who are more liberal than Christian have left the congregation but scores of people and even hundreds have flocked in. No one is wearing a mask because we realize it is not medically useful but obedience training by the regime.
I told one of the assistant pastors that the storm of Oppression by the demonic Leftists is coming to our corner of East Tennessee, and he looked at me with a Steely gaze and said, “Bring it.”
as the Bible tells us if you try to please man over God you will accomplish neither…you should always defer to your sovereign and any undershepherd worth his calling will continue to preach the Word…although they harbor their anger again the messenger, it is the conviction of the Holy Spirit that gets them so upset…their carnal existence does not want to be held accountable, so when they hear they what their righteous judgment should be they are angry and afraid
Ephesians was written to a CHURCH. Therefore the passage in chapter 6 about the Armor of God is for the CHURCH. Armor up your little corner of east Tennessee (we may be coming there in years to come….or sooner) and STAND THEREFORE!
We tend to over individualize God’s Word sometimes I think for 2 reasons. One is our DNA (Daniel Boone, the rugged pioneer, etc…) the other is that God’s Word is sometime’s sweet comfort and feels like it was written just for us.
On Friday at noon I walked into my local bar/grill to drop something off. Having not been there in awhile and with the county just passing the VAXX PAPERS PLEASE to enter mandate I was not sure what to expect. I carried a mask in my pocket but did not put it on to enter. Then I was overwhelmingly pleased to see only one mask on inside or out and the place was packed. This local establishment serves as the town watering hole and I truly hope once the 22nd county “deadline” passes they will not implement any PAPERS PLEASE Gestapo checks on their customer base. Been going there for more than 13 years now and know everyone who works there and the owner; it would be disgusting and disappointing if they suddenly started posting brown shirts at the doors. I hope not. We need this local place.
This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Neil Oliver.
Recently, I was “non” invited to a birthday party for a long time client and close friend. At the end of the invitation was a notice from his wife: “If not fully vaccinated please just send your good wishes to the Birthday Boy.” The person sending this to me knows my status. I believe it was sent to hurt me. My husband thinks this wasn’t necessarily directed toward me, but I know better.
I’m currently in an area where I am meeting new neighbors. They’ve invited me to prayer in their homes. Not one person has asked of me or volunteered their vax status. We’ve held hands and prayed. I’ve invited them into my home to share a meal. These are not young chickens and could definitely be fearful around people they don’t know well if they watched the telly 24/7. They are some of the kindest and courageous people I’ve come into contact with recently.
They (and I ) care more about the fellowship of one another and recognize the health benefits of those simple times together.
I could be sad about these friends that would choose to exclude me, but to be honest, I would rather look at the wonderful caring people in my life who are unafraid and accept me. For me, knowing that there is a power greater than ourselves brings me peace. If God says it’s my time to become sick and die, so be it. I don’t want it to happen, but I’m ready if it does. I think of Mother Teresa and what she was able to accomplish serving the poor and sick people of Calcutta. She lived life unafraid because she knew Jesus was with her. I don’t expect to be even one ounce worth of the Christ like quality of Mother Teresa, but if I can in one way make someone feel welcome in my home, than I’m on the right path.
When I return to this client, I don’t know if I’ll still have their business. It would be a shame, but I accept this is the price I may have to pay. Thankfully, I am close to full retirement. But I do feel for younger people with families to support who are facing such challenges. I pray for them.
And yes, SD, I’ll strive to be happy.
Not exactly a cheerful message from the guy’s wife. But you know what? You’ll get through this. We will all get through this. It’s gonna be ok.
I was told that it was un-American not to get the vax, that I’m not “doing my part” to get the “economy back on track”. All of this is my fault because I haven’t gotten jabbed.
Geez, I thought by working my way through life to pay my own way and not rely on anyone else, paying my taxes, my health insurance, my mortgage, staying out of trouble and obeying the law, all meant I was being a good citizen.
I was a good citizen 18 months ago and foolishly stayed home for “14 days to slow the spread” and I’ve been lied to and now I’m being condemned because I won’t “go along to get along.”
I hope you’re right that it’s gonna be okay. It’s going to be different but now I’m wiser and believe that may be better in the end after all.
I cannot reconcile my so-called “friends,” to include my own husband, gleefully attending events to which I am not permitted entry. Doesn’t tyranny and oppression slow them down, at least a little bit?
When it comes time to pull out their “virtue signaling” punch cards, they don’t think twice about those of us who are separated and shunned. That’s why most of them got vaxxed in the first place, to please their fascist masters, who dangle our freedom and liberty like crackerjack prizes!
Talk about making a deal with the devil!
The winter of our discount tent
I had forgotten The Desiderata. While there were many “feel good” things to come out of the 60’s and 70’s this was a true gem.
As was Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Neil Diamond did a great job with his soundtrack for the movie.
Jonathan Livingston Seagull … Now that makes me smile. Because it was written by Richard Bach, a relative of the best friend I mentioned in a post I made above in this thread, as well as in a post I made recently within the last several days in the Open thread … Her maiden name was Bach, and in the open thread I was describing how she was a descendant of the composer J.S. Bach. A lot of talent in that family.
This friend once apologized to me for “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” and that her relative wrote it. In her opinion, it was too “new age”.
Small world/timeline, eh? 🙂
Will have to go back and reread the Desiderata more slowly and carefully, usually it’s something I quickly gloss over … *blush*
I have a huge warm spot in my heart for Richard Bach. Illusions did it for me.
“The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.” — Richard Bach
“Don’t be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.” — Richard Bach
I can see why. 🙂
Quotes above in keeping with the fellowship theme of this thread, that could also be applied to my friend.
So so true.
Back in March 2020 the state forced the shut down of halls where AA fellowships met daily. They banned assemblies of more than 6.
I’m solid in my 36 years of sobriety but feared for the new members. CCP virus didn’t stop alcohol and drug abuse and I knew we would have casualties.
So I opened up my home.
I hosted meetings for whomever got past their fears and wanted fellowship.
Now that the halls have reopened, many still want to continue meeting in my backyard and it’s still open to all who come.
Yesterday one of the new ones celebrated 1 year of sobriety and I was overjoyed at seeing their family reassembled and enjoying each other.
There is strength in numbers. If you need some, ask, if you have some, share.
We’ll get through this together
Beautiful! You have a big, kind heart, and congrats to the newbie with 1 year of sobriety.
Thanks Jim. I posted a similar AA story.
It is good to be a friend of both Sundance, and Bill
God bless you for opening up your home. It’s a lifeline to folks who so desperately need the fellowship to survive One Day at a Time.
One day at a time was too long for me. Boiled it down to one breath and one heartbeat at a time. Truly that is all we have. Love on Love’s terms.
Mr. Neil Oliver is, I believe, at heart a countryman, an outdoorsman. He enjoys nature. This truly matters.
They could have called for “physical distancing.” But no, the rulers called for SOCIAL distancing.
Which is actually anti-social distancing.
The U.N. General Assembly will ignore vaccine requirements for attendees at next week’s big meeting in New York, snubbing NYC rules for convention centers and public gatherings.
Because some people are more equal than others.
I will not comply either.
Question? If GOD did not get the Vax or wear a mask, will you enter?
Shout this loudly and from the hilltops
You must take your freedom.
O Sundance once again a wonderful message! I choose fellowship over fear. I have a good group that meet up regularly for months. But alas my church -which shut down by our state Governor’s edict March 2020 is not the same now. We did the virtual service & still do. Opened up for in person church- but darn masks mandatory. Very few in the pews. I told the pastor me not going back till the masks come off. Know so many feel the same. Pre China virus we had a awesome fellowship brunch each Sunday – I was part of organizing the food. Was so great. I fear we never go back to fellowship here. Very sad. Too many folks young & older bought into the scare covid going to kill u.
Billions (Showtime) began their show tonight with almost everyone at Axe Cap masked and a company-wide meeting on their trading floor. It takes place in NYC. Then they told everyone to remove their mask if they were vaxxed. If you still had a mask on you were then told this was your last day and immediately escorted out by security.
I immediately tho’t of all the people who recently got the same news and the total lack of empathy from people like this who like to play God. Jerks and fools.
His words ring true to me especially the part where we ALL need to participate!
As Sundance has stated many, many times…..there are more of us than than are of them.
If all the small businesses would have stuck together during the initial shutdown and said “NO we are not closing due to an illegal mandate!” then things would have been better.”
If the masses would have said “NO, the masks have no effect in stopping a virus and is just a control mechanism and an unlawful mandate” then things would have been better.
But that obviously didn’t happen so now we have folks so scared that they allow themselves to be injected with an IND#….
Anyone in the pharma world knows what I means. It is sad.
But this gentle Scotsman raises some good points and I am glad Sundance posted it.
It keeps me grounded…….until I receive the next blacked out Aussie video of totalitarian control.
While there are activities and entertainment that I miss, I will never succomb to partake in them if their demands are discriminatory, cruel and inhumane. All my efforts in the past 18 months have been to maintain close, normal relationships with family and friends. It will continue to be my focus.
Peace and love to all.
I live in Manitoba. It is extremely difficult for businesses to fight this even if they want to. For one thing if the COVID police show up the fine is $5000 for the business PER OFFENCE. So if three people in your business don’t have a mask on you get fined $15000. Not many small businesses can stand up to that. And when local police refused to enforce this garbage the province brought in 3000 private security people who normally do things like guard UN refugee camps. The monitoring is beyond imagining. They track you your cell phones and my wife has even been buzzed twice by a drone while working in her own yard.
What is worse it that so many people are happy to cooperate and assist the government in this. My small town had at least one snitch who regularly reported any possible violations. Our local store has endless trouble getting staff and now the store owner has a staff member and he has had complaints about this person because it is well known this person is not vaxxed. It is not law (yet!) that store clerks have to be vaxxed and you don’t need the vax to go get groceries, but we have people in town who actually believe that the unvaxxed represent a clear and present danger and they need to be shunned isolated and avoided.
This is a small rural community where most people have grown up here and are third of fourth generation present and they are conservative minded, gun toting red necks and farmers. Yet many of them are happily reporting their neighbours for violating the COVID restrictions.
I fear for my country. I also think the election tomorrow is already rigged and we have no hope of anything but a Trudeau minority. We have paper ballots. We hand count them. We also have had had record mail in ballots. All mail in ballots are collected in a central location in the big cities and mail in ballots for many constituencies are all counted in the same location. We have been told that due to the record number of mail in ballots we will not know who the winner is tomorrow evening. It will be the next day or so before we know. Sounds familiar?
Canada is in my prayers
Thank you for the sad warning of the shapes of things to come in the US.
These days, it’s apparent who would inform the Nazis of Anne Frank’s whereabouts.
Get rid of your cell phone. Get a land line.
After not attending church for a while I have decided to start going back again. My current reason for not attending was because “they” were all vaccinated (and probably shedding the virus) and they all wear mask (which do absolutely no good at all and probably exacerbate the virus).
I’m not going to wear a mask and will probably have to suffer their derision and contempt. Maybe I can set the standard for truth and American liberty. Pray for me as I tell them “I cannot wear a mask safely”.
Praying for your intention …
All well and good. The fallacy here is believing in the humanity of mankind.
There is humanity with neighbors, however when forbidden to work, worship, and movement for refusing to take an injection and no one imposing these mandates is held accountable, you have tyranny.
Tyranny is governance so depraved using a volunteer medical procedure to limit our liberty for a condition that is 99.9% survivable.
There is no justification for elected representatives and non elected bureaucrats to impose conditions of liberty on citizens.
NONE
As Christians, spiritual principles inform our political positions, not the other way around. If your church is more concerned about converting someone to a political party, candidate, or position than ensuring their soul spends eternity with their Creator, there is a problem.
America will not return to religious principles through politics. Politics will return to religious principles through the conversion of one heart at a time.
One of the most horrible thing that happened during the lockdowns was that the churches shut down the AA and NA meetings. One of our AA groups had been meeting for over 40 years in a local Catholic church social hall and the pastor couldn’t wait to throw us out or so it seemed.
This happened throughout our communities in downstate NY and from what I have heard from fellow AA’s many of them have been permanently banned as well. Many groups have had to make other arrangements which we are all doing.
The most important thing about AA and the reason it works, is precisely because of the Fellowship that Sundance speaks of. My AA group is better than my flesh and blood family in many ways because nobody truly understands an alcoholic like someone else who has the same horrible condition/ disease.
We don’t judge each other, we sit for an hour and listen to the stories and how people came back from the depths of hell thanks to the grace of a Higher Power, almighty God.
For too many months I have begged the pastor to be allowed back to have our meetings and his refusal, his complete lack of understanding and compassion have lead me to believe that he is some kind of sociopath. Certainly he is not a man of God who follows the teachings of Jesus as he claims in his sermons. The hypocrisy is breathtaking.
That being said, the Lord works in mysterious ways and slowly our groups are finding other meeting places. During the nice weather we have been meeting outdoors in a cemetery parking lot (beautiful) and at a building that is under construction but which has a nice deck overlooking a lake. We are not sure what will happen when the weather gets too cold, but something will come up.
The main thing is that we have not broken the ties of our Fellowship. As alcoholics and addicts, we cannot live without our meetings. As the slogans say, meeting makers make it.
I truly believe that the Spawn of Satan who are behind the scamdemic knew that many people like us would or could lose their lives as a result of the church lockdowns. It was a feature, not a bug when it came to their evil machinations.
Once again, Divine Providence never let us down and our AA fellowship is stronger than ever.
We must never forget that He who presides over all things will protect us.
Thank you Sundance for your magnificent and inspiring essays and for the Fellowship of the Tree House.
Yep..”the outside issue” of Covid is seldom brought up, and if so it is usually only in the passing.
No masks at tonights meeting and two “newcomers” were in attendance. We’re the ever so grateful for the “open doors”
Suicides are up, alcohol sales in our British Columbia are up something like 30%
Our “home group” is stronger than.
Governments come and go…it would be nice if they would go soon.
There are many at our NY meetings who like myself have another addiction, politics.
We have a hard time keeping the meetings on the AA track and not talking about what’s going on in the world.
Can anyone say “self righteous anger?”
My daughter in law was just a few months sober when they ended all the AA and NA meetings in our area. She was drinking again within a week. She abandoned her children, ran off with a man from work. He beat her. She left him and is now living with another drunk and has added meth to the mix. My sixteen year old grandson lives with her full time, will have nothing to do with any of us and is also drinking and using drugs. My last conversation with him he told me to go f*ck myself. He hates me and never wants to see me again. I had just refused to give him $300 I know he wanted to buy drugs. Would it have happened without COVID and the end of AA? Probably but it certainly didn’t help.
Thank you very much for your comment. My heart goes out to you and your family.
Please know that it is not just the newly sober who have gone back out and lost their lives. There are many in our groups who had decades of sobriety, stopped going to meetings because of CCP flu and then went back out.
It is not the end of AA by a long shot and I honestly don’t know how your people would have ended up in any event. The lockouts certainly didn’t help.
I strongly urge you to go to Al Anon to get help for yourself and indirectly for your relatives.
I say this as someone who was an active drunk for decades and who did tremendous damage to my family. Through the grace of God I am sober today and have made amends and turned my life around.
I wish that my own children and siblings had gone to Al Anon because it would have helped them tremendously to have a support group. I hope you will consider it.
God bless you.
Been a fan of Neil Oliver for several years. He has some great documentaries, some can be found on utube and others through Roku search. Also some speaking engagements. Mostly archeology in content.
Recently he has been on GBNews utube channel.
This one is from 3 weeks ago.
Wonderful! Thank you and God bless you all!
140 years ago in my town the “upper crust” decided that Jews were not permitted in their country club. The Jews didn’t so much as protest. Although few in number, they bought their own farm and made it into a country club for Jews. Over time, the Jews did such a good job of managing their country club that it became much nicer, less populated and desirable to join. Why? They took care of each other and worked on their version of common good. I am sure the same dynamic still works today and is available to us if we want it in several applications. Outcast from Marxist society for any number of reasons: political, economic, religious, cultural, etc. are all chances to turn the tables on the Marxists if we simply take care of our own. BTW, is your county a Second Amendment Sanctuary County like Noah Davis describes Newton County, MO on the Sanctuary Counties website? It can be, check it out!
From the picture: “Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be“
As far as how to be at peace with God, Scripture shows the Way:
John 14:5-6
“Thomas says to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going; how can we know the way?” Jesus says to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, if not by Me.”
Romans 5:1-2
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.”
Romans 5:8-11
“But God demonstrates His love to us, that of us being still sinners, Christ died for us. Therefore much more, having been justified now by His blood, we will be saved by Him from wrath! For if, being enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved in His life! And not only so, but also we are rejoicing in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”
