The latest NPR/Marist poll shows Joe Biden with a 43% approval overall, and that’s with a proclaimed 85% of Democrats still sticking with him {insert eyeroll here}. 64% of Independents disapprove of Biden’s job performance and 95% of Republicans disapprove.
The polling was D+7 [pdf here] to achieve an overall 43% approval rating.
In related news perhaps Joe Biden will be campaigning for Liz Cheney.

Austin sounded exactly like a surrender instead of the statement of national strength they were trying to project.

There was some poll recently, likely on Afghanistan in which the media was polling something, and sure enough, they found 26% of the left agreed.
On the other hand, it’s possible polling outfits have just decided 26% is a base number that they will not go below.

Initially, yes, but they wont attempt the impeachment unless they know enough Repubs will go along in the Senate to get to 2/3 or, 67 votes to convict AND to remove the President from office. Until the illegitimate Occupant is proven in some legal process – even in the House of Reps – to have been illegally placed in that position, I think impeachment can occur.
Despite the fact that we all know Biden is illegally occupying the White House, IMHO a declaration of fraud has to be either demanded by a large majority of American voters or by a large majority of House Reps and then some vote to overturn what they improperly put in place on January 6.

The last NPR poll in August showed 90% Democratic support, so in the space of a month he’s dropped over 5%, so although the posters can manipulate the results they cannot show his Democratic support holding up after Afghanistan, lest people wise up to the manipulation. Assuming the spiral continues gathering speed and there’s nothing to suggest otherwise, each new poll will start from a lower and lower baseline. This semi-truthful reflection of the reality then risks starting a preference break and and with Trump circling, eagle-like, and audits pending who knows.
