Went for annual check up last week….my provider is not vaxxed (she had the virus last year) and neither are her kids. First, 99% of the Equipment “left” behind (or the $85 Billion in equipment) IS the Property of the Afghan Government, who ever that may be. It is the equipment provided to the 350,000 Defense Forces Troops and Gendarme Auxiliaries Trained by the US and NATO, to operate and maintain. The vast majority of those trained personnel ARE Taliban or Taliban supporters, and they know how to operate that equipment.
Second, there is allot older residual RUSSIAN heavy equipment (T-55 Tanks, BTR’s, Artillery, Aircraft, etc.) still in Afghanistan and a portion of it is STILL Functional and used thanks to US Contractor help and Chinese Parts.
Third, the US did leave behind some sophisticated equipment that WAS property of the USA. The A-Hole US Commanders DID not destroy it as is obvious nu LACK of scorch and explosive marks. RENDER useless is a meaningless term, and it likely could mean somebody could figure out how to make operational or enough it is left to reverse engineer.

Do not fall for the US Military left behind equipment BS and other lies by omission being told by the DoD and State Department.
First, 99+% of the Equipment “left” behind (or the $85 Billion in equipment) IS the Property of the Afghan Government, who ever that may be. It is the equipment provided to the 350,000 Defense Forces Troops and Gendarme Auxiliaries Trained by the US and NATO, to operate and maintain. The vast majority of those trained personnel ARE Taliban or Taliban supporters, and they know how to operate that equipment.
Second, there is allot older residual RUSSIAN heavy equipment (T-55 Tanks, BTR’s, Artillery, Aircraft, etc.) still in Afghanistan and a portion of it is STILL Functional and used thanks to US Contractor help and Chinese Parts.
Third, the US did leave behind some sophisticated equipment that WAS property of the USA, which is some of the stuff shown at Kabul Airport and Bagram. The A-Hole US Commanders DID NOT destroy it as is obvious by LACK of scorch and explosive marks. RENDER useless is a meaningless term, and it likely could mean somebody could figure out how to make it operational or enough of it is left to reverse engineer. The commander on the spot should be dismissed from the service NOW for this one.
Finally, DO NOT forget that part of the 2.5+ Trillion Dollar Infrastructure put in place by the USA includes the facilties to fix this stuff and keep it operational. I lived and worked in the Middle-East and there are allot of smart and dam good mechanics in the places I lived, who can fix some pretty complicated stuff. Plus Turkey, Iran and Pakistan already BUILD and MAINTAIN knock-off copies of US High Tech weapons.
By the way one of those infrastructure projects was the International Airport in Kabul, that services US, French and Russian made airliners. Those airport maintenance facilities have digital links to the likes of Boeing, Airbus, Russian-Tupolev, Russian-MIL, etc.
Plus, there is this for the arm chair and “TV Generals” stating some sort of destruction or seizure of equipment owned by the Afghan Government should have occurred.
Well, it was all in the hands of Afghan Forces … so who was going to seizing if the majority of Afghan Soldiers work for the Taliban or in some cases who had other thoughts about being disarmed?? The 2,500 troops and contractors??
Then there is the issue of timing. When should have all this seizure and destruction occurred?? It sure would look really neat on CNNi, Skynews, BBC, RT, Rueters, Islamic TV, etc. to see US Troops and Aircraft seizing and destroying weapons of their “allies” and Government Forces whom the US said were in good shape as late as June 2021. This would sure make everybody want to be our friend in the future.
Also, it will be darn awkward and embarrassing to start doing any seizing or destroying with US hostages still in place and US Government having defacto recognized the Taliban Government. Then there are those pesky Chinese and Russians who may object as well.
